5. Describe a memory from childhood they think of fondly.

I won't lie. I've been cookin' on some ideas about memory wiping during her time in the blackship so a lot of her childhood memories may be lost to her now anymore. 😔 But for fun let's say this:

Watching her mother put on her Imperial Navy uniform when she was a child. Her mother's long locks of curly hair tied into a tight bun, helping her into the uniform and pinning all the medals and accommodations onto it. She remembers her mother's words of encouragement, of what her future serving the Imperium will look like as she gets older and what an honor it will be. Even to die for it. A small thing of comfort Lucinda carried with her after her mother passed away in a ship battle.

At least before it was taken from her.

9. What was their Darkest Hour? How does it affect them today?

21. Do they have any notable markings? Scars, birthmarks, tattoos, etc.?

The plating on her jawline that extends to the lower half of her head from some totally normal sanctioning processes (instructive beatings / psychic mind and willpower testing / mindwiping 🥲) Tucked beneath the mass of hair near her ear she has some surgery scars as well from implanted limiters.

She also has some tattooed wards on the roof of her mouth to prevent her from speaking the names of Ruinous Ones. (Yes w40k dark heresy vibes let's goo lol)

annnnd her hair is notably greying at the roots a bit early from the long years she's been channeling her psyker abilities. 💖🥰

1. Is your muse a good kisser?

First off, I wouldn't be caught dead letting my OCs be bad kissers so jot that down!!! 📝😤 Secondly, yes! She's had only one or two intimate experiences under her belt before meeting the intimidating Master van Calox (do people really trust being close to a psyker let alone a telepathic one btw) but what she lacks in experience she makes up for in passion and eagerness. 😼

13. What personality trait/type does your muse find most attractive?

Adding to that note of having little intimate experiences, I'd imagine what drew her to past partners and Heinrix was their passion. Most are in their servitude to the Imperium -- as was she in her time lil miss dogmatic 💤 -- but learning the Interrogator was capable to be beyond his duties and had such hidden, personal and passionate depths is what drew her to him.

And in that magnetic attraction she learned more about herself in the process, too.

24. Does your muse tend to get jealous when in a relationship? Do they like it when their partner gets jealous over them?

Being in an actual relationship is very new to Lucinda so I think she's a little unsure on how to properly navigate the emotions that can come with it lol. Jealousy rears its head when Heinrix's noble politeness extends to other nobles at times (stares at Cassia/Heinrix interactions before they were even dating). Nevermind that she feels imposter in her newly-anointed royal position but she has to squint real hard to try and read that man because he's just. So. Good. at playing his part. It's looking a little too friendly Heinrix 🙄 LOL.

How much stock does your muse put in first impressions? What is the best way to make a good first impression with your muse? 

She's sooo easily impressionable 😭 lmfao. Lucinda was literally shooketh when Heinrix was out here treating her with respect not only because of rank and title but as a person? Unheard of when you've been treated poorly your whole life and had to work twice as hard to gain even an iota of respect or decent treatment as a psyker. Even as a sanctioned one.

But that's it. That's all it takes or rather... took. LMFAO. You know strictly speaking when he was totally not watching her every move, of course.

1. Where are they from? What is their homeworld like? Do they miss it?

Lucinda is from an Imperial World! I think I'm a bit too unfamiliar with the w40k universe to get into the specifics of her homeworld at least just yet :') but she's spent a nearly her entire adolescence and young adulthood upon a Blackship for her psyker training after her abilities manifested. She's also spent a lot of time posted on ships in her years afterwards under the Imperial Guard to think much of home anymore or the family she once knew.

9. What was their Darkest Hour? How does it affect them today?

16. What is their Archetype?

So, in her first PT she was a Soldier archetype but I think after understanding the game better and how I imagine her in battle as a Diviner/Telepath my next PT I'll have her an Officer! Hehe

7. Was there a defining moment in their life that influenced their Conviction?

Surprisingly even by the end of the game she did not have a set conviction. She was a mixture of dogmatic/iconoclast. She only had an allegiance to herself and her dynasty.

SO COOL lmao. but I'd say that defining moment of conviction comes after her return from Commorragh. She finds herself, renews her confidence and willpower again. This position as Rogue Trader is an opportunity and always has been and it took learning a bit of the Drukhari ways to understand it. :) She's been giving the torch to not only leading millions but securing her freedom, to be unapologetically who she is (QUEEN ASS PSYKER) and she clutches it fiercely now. Perhaps even wields it like a weapon. 😈

She might not have had a shining kissing babies iconoclast/NOMOS ASS ENDING but I think in her own way she stands resilient against the Imperium's dogma where it counts, protects her interests and those under her dynasty, and is ruthless against her and the God-Emperor's common enemies. She becomes a force not to be reckoned with.

Enough to even have the Imperial Navy on guard with her 😆

15. How do they feel towards Theodora? Had they met before? Were they close?

Not close at all and has no ties to her! Honestly she doesn't feel much for Theodora beyond maybe some complicated feelings as to why she or the God-Emperor would damn her to this position while she's so perilously and precariously UNFIT FOR IT!!! lmao at least in the beginning.

25. Wildcard: Share a fun fact, random thought, or headcanon about them!

I headcanon Lucinda's hair gets very frizzy and poofy when there are high levels of the Warp energy in an area. Girlie has to tuck her hair tight in a bun/ponytail or something on most missions and when they traverse through the Warp lmao. It's only loose and free when the ship is stationary or off-planet or relaxing in her quarters. When first learning about the w40k universe through RT I realized SOOOO much of its spookiness with the Warp relied on the paranormal and how the body reacts to it so why not play into it a bit lol 😆

8. What was their Triumph? Do they take pride in it?

She had single-handedly saved a pilgrim ship by stopping a warp breach while traveling through the Immaterium! Saving the many lives aboard the ship proved her worth some modicum of respect and usefulness for a time until...

9. What was their Darkest Hour? How does it affect them today?

Her sorcery caused a warp manifestation aboard a voidship, claiming thousands of lives in the end. Everything she had done up to that point did not matter. Her years of dedicated service in the Imperial Guard, her grueling efforts in becoming a sanctioned psyker proving herself she could withstand the Warp. The blood of all those who died in her failure a stain, not only on her record but her person.

There was no pride in saving lives when she was the cause of ruin for so many. She was shaken. Riddled with guilt and fear now that she was being sent to rehabilitation aboard a Blackship for correction.

At least until von Valancius dynasty intervenes :)

Now she harbors a terrible secret. Any record of such event remained redacted by Theodora's interference. This secret of her failure stayed with her throughout most of the game, alongside the tempest storm of emotions she had to bury after being thrust into her position as Rogue Trader. Part of her felt she deserves to be punished for her failures-- repent for her sins. Part of her that feels herself a constant risk jeopardizing the lives aboard the ship by merely existing. She is undeserving of her position, of their respect, of their trust in her. All of this and yet in her cowardice still says nothing-- 🤦‍♀️

And this secret can only be held onto for so long before Master van Calox finds trail of it. :)

She ends up finding her confidence again in Commorragh (and in part thanks to Marazhai) lmao

Painting process of my art trade for wonderful @aevari 💖💖

Steps below!

This was my first art trade in my artist career ever as I didn't have an opportunity to make one previously, but this was such a positive experience overall, I was extremely happy with the outcome! ;w; Heartfelt kudos to @aevari for this lovely exchange!!!

I really enjoyed exploring and renovating my stylized approach technique, making it more rendered, but more expressive at the same time. I love expressiveness in strokes and lines. Though I at the same time love the neatness and crispiness in other artists' works as well, but this was never what my heart craved. Even if I managed to sit and sweat out the perfect lines, it was an incredibly stressful experience.

After beating myself with the stick and watching some painting courses I decided it's finally time to let go of this completionist mentality and to embrace this kind of a jagged and raw inky feeling, to let myself be free and let me express myself in the way that is most joyful and comfortable.
