Mannerisms ;; Blinks

One of the other details I adapted from the I Dream of Jeannie show was the whole 'blinking' mannerism to grant wishes. Except with Ruqayya, there is a little something extra.

To be more specific, her pupils will glow with a blue light when she uses her powers, especially when it's a bigger wish, and she will blink a few times and flutter her lashes in place of a single blink. ( E.g. A wish for a car, or a house vs doing chores or something simple like brewing / pouring coffee. )

The visual is like when Jean Grey pushes back Scott's mutation.

The lavish parties Sylverian hosts (when his mother is away) are famous in all of Faerûn for their sheer decdance. There is gold even in the food (and there are rumors of, uh, drugs and orgies).

The High House of Selemchant is known for its wealth and influence even beyond Amn —— they sponsor the Cowled Wizards of Athkatla, hold a seat at the Council, and they own the land by the Tethir Road, an important trade route.

Sylverian is known for his beauty and wealth, but there are also many rumors surround him (which is the case for most nobles and influental people); about his alleged struggles with addiction, about him being a spoiled brat, about his sexual escapades, the list goes on. Despite the rumors, he remains the center of attention at social gatherings, surrounded by a retinue of admirers seeking his favor.

Long golden hair that falls in soft curls down to his hips.

Aquamrine eyes; slightly iridescent like teal opals.

Fair complexion, healthy glow, rosy lips.

HISTORY

Sylverian Selemchant was born into a life of privilege as the only child of Lady Maryan Selemchant and Anarion, son of King Oberon of the Summer Court, a powerful Archfey and spouse of Queen Titania.

Raised in luxury, without any hardships and spoiled to no end, Sylverian grew up in a world of gold and glitter. He is blissfully unaware of the struggles faced by ordinary people. It's not that he is cold-hearted (quite the contrary!); rather, he has never been exposed to the harsh realities of life, and he has a tendency to turn a blind eye to anything that doesn't fit his desires and pleasures.

While he was home-schooled by esteemed scholars and being presented with endless opportunities, he has always been only interested in matters of fashion and high-society gossip and cares little about arcane studies, swordmanship or politics, much to his mother's dismay.

SPIRTED AWAY

When he was merely six years old his grandfather Oberon kidnapped him and spirited him away to the Feywild. Bringing a child to the vibrant plane of the Fey is akin to giving it potent drugs; it leaves a mark and shapes their perception forever.

While his Fey blood certainly played a role, this incident amplified Sylverian's longing for excitement. It's a significant factor behind his chronic boredom with the mundane, driving him towards wild parties, this insanely lavish lifestyle, sex and drugs.

TOUGH LOVE

After Sylverian's father passed away, his mother decided to kick him out, believing it was time for him to learn the harsh realities of the world.

While his father had dismissed Sylverian's antics as nothing more than the playful behavior of a youngling (after all, to an Elf, 30 years was merely the age of a child), his mother held a very different perspective. She felt it was high time Sylverian stopped relying on their family's wealth and started making something meaningful out of his life and learn responsibilty ; after all he was the sole heir of the Selemchant name.

Of course, she still loved her son dearly and knew he wouldn't last a day without protection, so she sent a Knight with him for protection.

TAV VERSE

Only a few days after his mother kicked him out, Sylverian was abducted by Illithids. What fate awaits him? Only the dice hold the answer.
