Now What if what came back was just off. Looks at the divine without the memories that went back decades. It looks, behaves and works in a way just off enough in a way to make the god unable to look at it. it's not you. it's not. it can't be.

.... but what if what got pulled back was still you, but its- YOU'RE wrong and broken in ways you cant understand anymore.

The apocalypse draws closer and closer and you don't know why every day that passes you seem to be falling more and more apart too. The god is gone. You are alone.

oughhhh i still need to play great god grove i Love smile for me i have a jerafina mii on my tomodachi life island maybe ill show her off soon

this one is really tricky but in a very refreshing way all of the tinkering with this comes not from trying to represent anything abstract like fur or markings or anything but from trying to fill in the gaps left in the part variety in mii maker. like theres no very good geometric eyes like that and there isnt really anything close to a smile with a tooth gap. i spent the better part of an hour tinkering with this one and im still bouncing around some ideas

theres a lot going on here and basically every feature went through some drafts. i used the generic open mouthed smile but i used the like goatee mustache to make the tooth gap. ive used mustaches to alter mouths to have fangs and stuff before its a trick im very familiar with but i think this is the first time ive ever used it to make a tooth gap!! most of the work went into workshopping the eyes. the basic parts used here are the thick rectangle eyebrows and the flat closed eyes rotated and wedged together. at first i made them point down like the closed eye in the reference i used but the wiki says hes the god of love and mirth and i figured he looked too sad for someone so wonderful so i made them point up. looking through a lot of his sprites too it looks like "glowing eye pointing up" is more important than "closed eye pointing down" to his design and since winks are nearly impossible in base mii maker i figured i should prioritize the open eye as far as positioning goes. i also used the eyeshadow to try and draw more attention to the eyes even though it feels a little backwards to make the eyes darker to represent bright glowing. you know what would make this all easier though??

using a completely different reference that doesnt involve the wink at all!! whats easier than closing one eye if not closing both!!! i like these both quite a lot and im proud of the end result. even if it did take me like an hour to get here. ive given qr codes to both of them because i really do think its a toss up if one is better than the other i think its just a matter of personal preference

in your be kind my gods au, do you think the other gods can understand Lady Trudy or not? Or maybe just King can? (though some kind of communication god ability, knowing all the languages, even Trudy's)

this is a GREAT question actually , we know that people who Follow Trudy can understand her right on, they do have to Learn the code probably on their own but once you are blessed by her youre good to go.

i think for the Grove Gods it goes in a spectrum, Mitternacht is obviously gonna understand her since shes the oldest god and Trudy´s language probably developed thru her godhood so shes familiarized herself with it, same for Bauhauzzo and Huzzle Mug, but Huzzle hates writing it down , because it just wants to start stylizing it immediately n it becomes a garbled mess very easily that way, for Thespius he basically understands it with like a really really heavy accent on top of it , he actually prefers going by it with sign language (yes i think Trudy followers have also developed their own sign language , after all , youve got a lot of hands) , Click Clack understands a little but can just infer from it by tone and his omnipotence, they can basically narrate what Something is supposed to mean most of the time. Cobigail doesnt know a goddamn lick of it, if she knew at some point she has completely forgotten abt it, but if she Tries to just sit down an talk with Trudy they probably can end up gesturing n communicating that way.

Inspekta doesnt know of it because he´s terrified of her and cannot open his mind to it, plus he´s never met her after all , well. only in a dream a really really long time ago ;]

King hasnt met her yet! but she will find herself surprised that she can hear her and understand her extremely clearly, it would freak her a bit that she just happens to know how to read it too, like its always been with her all along.

Trying to think about Schrank's relationships with some people.

Schrank and Thespius keep bouncing between getting along very well and their very cores clashing horribly. Thespius is the god of love but Schrank firmly calls itself loveless and will speak up against Thespius. "Love is what makes us human!" "Well, good for me but there's plenty of humans that dont love and plenty of non-humans that do love." The two can talk about other emotions and feelings pretty well, they Can be good friends! They just. Clash at times. : [ Atleast Tony, Click Clack and Georgia are atleast good at making sure the two dont escalate.

Schrank used to be Bauhauzzo's drawer back when he was a mortal, which definitely shaped Schrank a lot. Kind and caring and curious. But mortal Bauhauzzo did use Schrank to store failed attempts at writing. Crumpled up, torn up pieces of paper full of scribbles and ink blotches. Mortal mistakes and frustrations might have turned into some form of insecurity for the drawer... Schrank will occasionally call Bauhauzzo their owner, something very important to Schrank after not seeing him since he ascended. Bauhauzzo knows Schrank doesnt mean it in a bad way but that doesnt stop it from sounded weird. They're friends, they're family, they're equals. Schrank will gladly listen to Bauhauzzo's stories and explanations for days, its just like back in the day but different because now it can reply and ask for more.

Schrank and Mitternacht, these two dont do much together really. Schrank has vague knowledge about Mitternacht and her past from the Spire while Mitternacht looks at Schrank kinda weirdly. She knows when someone is "hers", when someone is like a child to her, so she looks at Schrank and sees clearly something that isnt hers. So many things that Schrank does and says make Mitternacht herself and this world she created. But there is no bad blood between the two, they can smile and wave at eachother but they have yet to have any defining bonding moments.

Schrank and Grujaja. Schrank and Grujaja. Really, the biggest reason Schrank keeps reaching out to Grujaja and pulling him into stuff is because he's why Schrank's alive at all. An ordinary drawer cant move on its own, so the Spire made sure to whisper to the people of the Grove while the Rift slowly approached. Bauhauzzo heard the Spire the loudest, so he called for someone strong to help him find what the Spire desires. And that someone was Grujaja. Finding the drawer the Spire and objects of the Grove had selected, throwing it into the Rift, Grujaja could have never anticipated something this odd would lead to a new friend.

But that also isnt everything with Schrank and Grujaja. Schrank looks at Grujaja and sees someone so important to them feel left out more often than not and it doesnt understand why. Grujaja doesnt understand either. Grujaja may have been a Bizzyboy for all his life but like Capochin showed, you can be alone in a crowd. You walk down a corridor or a pathway or a street with other people but you cant all walk next to eachother, so you walk in pairs or threes behind eachother. Or atleast Grujaja would but somehow, everyone else has paired up already and Capochin is already taking he leadand they're all moving already so what can he do but follow behind everyone else? Doing nothing wrong is one thing but somehow nothing you do being right is another. So it puzzles Grujaja that Schrank keeps reaching out to him, calls his name out first, brings him gifts, goes out of their way to not repeat mistakes, makes sure to apologize, treats him like a person when not even the Bizzyboys always did. But isnt that something to chew on? The god of objects calls you their friend and includes you in its circle of object friends. What does that say about you, Grujaja?

I love how you characterize Click Clack and Thespius!! Do you have headcanons on how they might react to the Bizzyboys postcanon?

I really don't think they'd have any ill feelings towards the bizzyboys. Most of them, save Capochin, seem to have been mostly oblivious towards Inspekta's true plans.

Even if they were aware, they were more or less all under his thumb in other ways: the Bizzyboys, as an organization, were very cult-like in their ability to manipulate and isolate the members from others, keeping them in line (see: rewarding them with a sense of belonging, taking their actual names if they misbehave, etc).

None of them really even did anything outright malicious while they were in HobbyHoo. Sure, they impeded Godpoke's actual investigation, but mostly by harmless circumstance (wanting an interview). Even when they were "aggressive" they only really bumped into Godpoke.

Not only that, but did you see that ending? Thespius was perfectly happy forgiving Inspekta and taking him back in after he actively tried to kill everybody. I think the bizzyboys would get a pass 100% as long as they apologized and actually put forth effort to be good citizens. Which... I don't doubt at all in my mind. They're all sweet guys (Sigh... even Capochin, deep down).

I think Click Clack would certainly be more outwardly frustrated, but even he would be aware that they were just another character in Inspekta's narrative.

It would be Inspekta/Hector himself that he would be much more angry at. I think, in all honesty, he would mostly be frustrated on Thespius' behalf, more than anything. He would be frustrated that he was used as a tool to intentionally hurt Thespius- and a bit miffed about Thespius being so forgiving. After all, he was hurt too! Moreso than Click Clack was (at least, he would claim)!

That's not to say he likes the idea of Thespius being angry or upset... moreso that he cares, and doesnt want to see Thespius' kindness being taken advantage of.

But even then, he wouldn't let it linger. After all, how can he be upset at a story with a happy ending?

I just had a thought about something. Would Wegg be okay with boyfriend swap or would he be upset about it because of what happened to him in the book with the Swan Cultists?

this is a good question ! and its funny because i technically answered this in My Adult Bsky acc a bit back , i do think that he would be pretty apprehensible if someone just Came at him trying to get a fling in just like that, he is not someone that wants to Get more partners or group stuff for sure hes Way over that, especially if all the attention is on Him he would be Overwhelmed, i know i joked abt Thesp being like oh can we swap em for a day but he, wouldnt Actually say that to Neighbor because Neighbor doesnt Own his husband and Wegg doesnt Own his spouse ya know, its more like Thespius approaches Wegg like "If You would like to... for an evening... may i play some tunes with you....
