Who We Were

This took a good long while because there was a retcon in November of 2015 that kinda forced Risri into hiatus. When I brought her back for the paper in 2016, some details changed but still this was an eye-opening exercise of how I’ve grown as both an RPer and a writer. Anything that does not have brackets is the same.

Take a trip down memory lane, pull up the oldest ‘about’ post you can find for your character, and annotate what has changed and what has stayed the same in {Curly brackets}.

Character’s full name: Risri Elthron Reason or meaning of name: combination of Mother's best friend's name (still alive) and her mother's sister who died - Rislana (best friend) and Kiari (sister). The Elthron family have mostly played a back seat in the history of the Kaldorei. {Both of these origins have kind of changed. Risri’s name became a place that her parents named her after, something that was important to her father’s family in an RP with her aunt. The last name Elthron was chosen by Risri during her exile her original family name is Kal’serrar.} Character’s nickname: Ris Reason for nickname: just a short form of Risri

Physical appearance

Age: 403 {she has aged 1 rl year each year since 2015 she is currently 408 years old} How old does he/she appear: to a human about 20ish {I actually think now she probably seems a little older to people) Weight: We don't ask ladies this! Though she looks healthy and toned. {I figure she’s whatever the average weight is for female elves} Height: Average for a Kaldorei {This has changed a bit. I have her just a tad shorter than Dragaur in human form so she’s 6’2” which apparently is short for an elf} Body build: She's not a body builder but her activities keep her in shape. Shape of face: Typical Kaldorei {She did not have a face claim at the time nor did she have art. Her face looks like this art the most.}

Eye color: White {I list it as silver now} Glasses or contacts: none Skin tone: light purplish Distinguishing marks: Claw tattoo (gained during her Druid initiation ceremony) Hair color: Purple Type of hair: Long Hairstyle: up in a ponytail or straight down her back {when I first made Risri I had her in the pigtail hair style. I quickly didnt like how it looks and changed it to the long style she sports now. It has not changed since} Voice: typically soft {I imagine her voice and accent a bit like Gal Gadot’s natural voice} Overall attractiveness: again not really caught up in her appearance so someone may need to tell her and even then she will more than likely blush and stammer a thank you. {This has changed so so much from when I first created her. She knows she is lovely and she will probably think you want something from her if you flatter her appearance.} Physical disabilities: none Usual fashion of dress: For events: dresses...she has discovered she likes pretty pretty dresses. For class: simple black pants and a simple shirt {So this too has changed from when I first created her. She aims for comfort and style. She most often will be found in one of these} Favorite outfit: Dresses, she found a lovely gold and white dress that has become her favorite {I dont even know what dress this was but Im sure it was something from my early days on wra-I would say her favorite outfit is probably one of the ones above} Jewelry or accessories: She wears a button on a string around her neck. She fondles it every so often. {The button on a string has actually moved to her bag, she now sports a ruby necklace from Dragaur, her bracelet with several charms on it, and always has her camera}

Personality

Alignment: Good {I think I would classify Risri now as more neutral these days} Good personality traits: Loves animals, children, books, meeting new people (even though she can be shy, she enjoys it), giving, loyal {This is all true except for the shyness, I don’t actually rp Risri as shy. She may be standoffish but thats cause IRL I am shy but Risri most definitely has no fear of talking to people} Bad personality traits: shyness can sometimes stop her from joining in, when she is caught up in research she may ignore others not to be hurtful she just gets caught up {I think this one goes with the other, as for bad traits today, I usually say she can be stuck in her ways at times and can be over protective} Mood character is most often in: happy {I would say this is still true but she’s had her share of pain} Sense of humor: silly things make her laugh {Not so much silly things but she definitely has a more snarky is funny sense of humor} Character’s greatest joy in life: running in the forest as a cat {Taking pictures and being a druid are equal} Character’s greatest fear: the death of her mother {This has actually come out in RP as a fear of mind control. She would fear the death of her mother but mind control tops it.} Why? Her mother and her are very close (unusual for Kaldorei, as they grow up communally typically), travelling with her mother in her formative years they relied upon each other What single event would most throw this character’s life into complete turmoil? Ris would be devastated if something happened to her mother {I think the death of Latilda, and then when she thought Dragaur was dead, and subsequently the death of Suzi in the office are three of the most profound things that made Risri change some. Her fel contamination would come a close fourth Currently, if something was to really happen to Dragaur, Sky, or Selise it would mess up Risri for a while} Character is most at ease when: Researching {Funnily enough this might still be true, but I would say taking pictures is probably more} Most ill at ease when: at war {This is true, but as she found out both at Darkshore and recently when there are forsaken involved she has no hesitation in killing.} Enraged when: witnessing senseless destruction of sacred places or artifacts {I completely forgot that I chose that, but I would say it has not changed. She also does not stand for people she cares about being hurt, this one is tricky though and I often have to tame it down because of interactions with others.} Depressed or sad when: she is a pretty positive individual, depression and sadness are fleeting if they happen at all. {This has matured over time. She gets very introspective at times and definitely will seek alone time when she is sad.} Priorities: Learn about as many cultures as she can, current focus is Treants. {So long ago… Her priorities currently are her studio, Dragaur, and helping the Kaldorei still homeless.} Life philosophy: Learn, Learn, Learn then share it all! {This was definitely written back in my Stormwind University days. Her philosophy “Be kind. It’s worthwhile to make an effort to learn about other people and figure out what you might have in common with them.”} Character’s soft spot: her Sprite Darter "Flutter" {Also a certain worgen} Is this soft spot obvious to others? Sometimes {while I dont play it up too much she is very attached to Flutter. As for the worgen, yes when they are together it is clear she has a soft spot for the gruff one} Greatest strength: Passion for learning {This is probably still true but I would say she also is a pretty good photographer and a loyal friend.} Greatest vulnerability or weakness: Naivety of how the world really works even though she has travelled the two main continents extensively she has been sheltered by her mother. {This was one of the things I retconned out of her when I brought her back for the paper. Risri may be unknowing of some human interactions but she is far from naive in most cases.} Biggest regret: That one time at band camp...seriously she is young so right now she doesn't have one but this may play into her development and story later. {HUGE change here... in fleshing her out in RP the biggest regret is and always will be the incident that forced her out of the Sentinels but not the results because it let her become a druid so its a double edged regret} Minor regret: she forgot to tell her mom about the time she ...oh that might not be appropriate for here {Again a change that came about from RP, that she threatened Dragaur with turning him in. She would never do that and she said it in a moment of frustration with him during a fight. It hurt them both too much.} Biggest accomplishment: coming soon {Running the paper. Opening her studio. either} Minor accomplishment: joining the University! {so many things, her writings, some of her photographs, saving people at Teldrassil, helping the Kaldorei in Stormwind.} Past failures he/she would be embarrassed to have people know about: she was almost not able to become a druid...story for another time {This also changed with the retcon, but I would say the time she spent before coming to Stormwind would be something she would not want others to know about and will probably not talk about to anyone.} Why? She loves being a druid so not being one… {I have thoughts about what she was doing but its not fleshed out. Maybe someday and I can revisit this.} Character’s darkest secret: She is a pretty open book. Maybe later she will have a "dark" secret. {So this dark secret is the fact that she killed 10 Sentinels. That also came with the revamp.} Does anyone else know? {Several people.}

Goals

Drives and motivations: Curiosity unusual for a Kaldorei and need to have answers to questions { I would say this is somewhat still there and aided her when she was a reporter, but her drives and motivations are deeper now and the result of RP. She wants to make amends and sees her work with the Kaldorei refugees as part of that.} Immediate goals: Make friends with the treant she met at the Grove of Ancients {Keep her business running, aid the Kaldorei} Long term goals: Become an expert in as many cultures as she can {Live} How the character plans to accomplish these goals: Locate writings and interviewing others, spending time with treants ((her contact will be sending her around Azeroth and Draenor to meet with others)) {So her plan for her immediate goals are tied together. She takes a good portion of her profits from the studio and the two books she’s published to fund her relief efforts} How other characters will be affected: may be pestered for any little detail they have about treants {Most of the people she interacts with in RP would not be impacted.}

Past

Hometown: Darnassus {God I was such a noob. Feralas is her home.} Type of childhood: travelled both continents with her mother {so noob. She spent her youth in Feralas, Ashenvale, and Darkshore.} Pets: Sprite Darter named Flutter and a curious little white kitten {I retconned the kitten. Avengers Endgame Initial Thoughts

Okay. I have some Thoughts about Endgame, most of them fairly critical. Also highly subjective. So here goes. Spoilers abound, for Endgame and other MCU content.

1. OMFG they completely wasted Captain Marvel.* In her own movie, Carol is a fairly laid back, adaptable, competent, and Silly person. She has a wonderfully casual charm and sarcasm that’s really fun to watch. She’s also a powerhouse, and by the end she definitely knows it. (Like seriously, she destroyed multiple of Ronan’s ships in under a minute. In GotG, it took a whole fleet just to slow one of them down, plus a team on the inside to blow it up. And then Carol’s just like “nah, you’re done now.”) And then you hit Endgame. And we have a stoic, closed off Captain Marvel, who shows up, talks a lot about how awesome she is, and then spends fucking 80% of the movie on a shelf on the justification that she’s helping other worlds that are also in trouble. Which is a fine justification to keep her away for some of the setup. But the heroes’ main plan is time travel. Which means it’s not time sensitive, and they keep making a big deal about only having one shot. Why, in that case, wouldn’t you wait until you could get Carol on your team?? Thor is a psychological mess. Keep him on the bench and bring in Carol. OR have her on hand to use the gauntlet after all the stones are collected. But no, they just went with “eh, we’re not sure how to contact her, so we’ll just skip over that option entirely.” So they wasted her character as a character with minimal interactions with the others, and zero of those interactions actually being in character (except maaaybe with Peter at the end, but that very much felt like two actors trying very hard with very little to work with), and then also wasted her as far as plot impact, opting for a heroic re-entrance most of the way through the movie.

2. The time travel felt extremely poorly explained, which is really bad when your plot completely hinges on it, and is especially bad if you’re gonna rag on other movies with time travel. Back to the Future is paradoxical nonsense, but it’s self-consistent paradoxical nonsense. Endgame was some kind of multiverse with zero clear understanding of how different timelines/realities could and could not interact with each other. I’m still trying to wrap my head around all of the possibilities and whether there actually is an internal logic, but at the very least, while watching the movie, it entirely felt like they were doing whatever they wanted to suit the plot. Which is a bad sign when dealing with time travel. (My general approach to time travel is that you either have to completely handwave it or completely explain it. And that explanation doesn’t have to be an info dump! It can just be apparent in the story itself, such as with Time-Turners. Though I personally don’t mind time travel info dump tbh.)

3. Relatedly, the secret to time travel is to model an inverted Möbius strip and get the eigenvector of that one particle there. I don’t think I’ve been that annoyed but technobabble in a long time. That’s math word salad, as far as I can tell (though I’m admittedly not a mathematician. If any mathematicians can clarify how this makes any sense, I’d appreciate it, but in the mean time, I’m going to assume it’s garbled nonsense.)

4. Still on time travel but I’m having one hell of a time figuring out Steve’s ending. Like, how can he do that within the confines of the time travel mechanics? Why wouldn’t he come back and spend that time with Bucky?? Since, you know, they’ve like barely spoken being reunited?? For Pete’s sake, don’t set up their bond like that, spend two full movies on the turmoil cause by Bucky’s return, and then just fucking drop the plot line on the floor because you wanted to stick Steve back with Peggy. What in the fuck.

5. IM. SO. MAD. ABOUT. GAMORA. (And also Natasha, though that’s a slightly different anger.) GAMORA’S DEATH WAS THE MOST BS THING IN INFINITY WAR AND WAS ALSO THE DEATH I WAS MOST CONCERNED THEY WOULDN’T CORRECT. AND GUESS WHAT. THEY DIDN’T. SHE’S STILL DEAD.** The soulstone mechanic can get Fucked, because Thanos should never have been able to get it like that (and relatedly, should Hawkeye have gotten it, since Natasha threw herself, rather than being sacrificed? I’m undecided, but mad either way).

6. Is Loki still dead? Was he ever dead? We just don’t know. If he is dead, that was an amazingly dumb end and I object. If he’s not dead, that is a dumb cliffhanger and I object.

7. I don’t love Thor + Guardians’ dynamic? It feels very off, and I can’t tell if that’s just because it’s Avengers and therefore all the characters have gotten slightly flattened or if it’s just an unappealing dynamic to me. But we already had Quill vs Rocket leadership tension. I don’t was more of that but with Thor. That’s dumb. I’m hoping that it gets more nuance/resolution going forward, but I’m not holding my breath.

8. Relatedly, why would you put Valkyrie in charge of Anything but a battle plan? Nothing I’ve seen of her makes me think she’s well suited to general leadership, and I think she’d chafe under it just as much as Thor does. She’s not the Responsible One to take things over so Thor can go have another finding himself adventure. Ffs.

9. Probably no one’s fault because actor contracts are complicated, but I’m still salty about Lady Sif being 100% absent and unacknowledged for this whole thing. Largely because I haven’t gotten to see her interact with Valkyrie OR Carol and I feel cheated.

10. Some quick minor things before I go on a big rant. It bothered me that Thor’s depression and poor coping was just a joke, basically just “Oh look he’s fat and scared now, isn’t that funny?” I’m so tired of Tony vs. Steve, and I hate that they waited until the last fucking movie to sort of kind of resolve it. You don’t get to pull on found family heartstrings and tropes when you’ve done such a bullshit job of actually showing us a family. You’ve had 20-odd movies to do so. Do better.

11. Okay. I like battle scenes. They’re fun! They’re dramatic! If done correctly, they can give a very tangible sense of odds and stakes. But. Not every movie with high stakes needs a big final battle.

Okay, to clarify a bit, I’m specifically referring to army vs. army battle scenes here. Big punch outs between titans, or scrambling to minimize damage from a disaster are different, and have their own applications and pitfalls. All clear? Great.

Battles, with two armies facing off against each other in fronts, look cool, but fundamentally make no sense in the context of Endgame. Battle lines exist so that you have not very many people actively fighting at once, and so that you can protect the people next to them. When the frontline gets tired, they rotate back and others take over. Battles are not the same thing as skirmishes and they are not mass melees. If a battle turns into a mass melee, something has gone very wrong and you should in all likelihood pull back immediately to regroup.

All of this breaks down when you have an opponent who can break up or ignore your battle lines. Historically, this was artillery and guns—things that forced battles into a cover-based issue. In superhero movies, it’s... pretty much every character of note.

Thor’s lightning —> broken battle line

Black Panther’s suit discharge —> broken battle line

Falcon attacking from above —> pointless battle line

Wanda or Carol doing... anything —> pointless battle line

All of Thanos’ many flying troops —> pointless battle line

Thanos’ warship overhead —> what are you doing pls stop this

All of which is to say that traditional battle tactics don’t apply to this conflict. But the battle we’re shown doesn’t reflect that, and it feels very... weird as a result. Where who’s winning is entirely arbitrary, rather than any kind of steady build.

This tends to lead to a very episodic battle, where you show off individual characters or small groups of characters fighting. Which is fine, though contributes to battle progress being unclear. But there’s a temptation then to give everyone equal levels of badassery in their vignettes, and I think that’s a mistake. The avengers et all are a complementary group. They have members suited to a battle field and members that aren’t. That isn’t to say that Hawkeye and Black Widow can’t hold their own, but their skill sets aren’t specialized for something like this, and so any attempt to make them seem equal in this way is going to either fall flat or cheapen the battle suited heroes’ specialty.

And this tendency to level the field of badassery can also lead to situations where Okoye is backing up Carol for a charge, and I just.... gah. I love Okoye. So much. Carol does not need her help to rush a group of enemies. Carol doesn’t need help from any of the women who showed up behind her except for maybe Scarlet Witch. I get what they were going for. I get that it was supposed to be a Girl PowerTM moment. It wasn’t. It was dumb. It was so very much the wrong time for that moment, because this was not a context where Carol needed help. She just flew through a spaceship. She can fly through some enemies no problem. And it’s probably easier if she’s not worried about her allies getting caught in the blast. And then they had to make the backup team useful, so they made Carol struggle in a moment where she just shouldn’t have. You don’t get points for Girl PowerTM if you have to de-power one of your women just to make it make sense. Give me more scenes with Gamora and Nebula helping each other through Thanos’ abuse. Give me scenes with Carol and Okoye bonding over putting up with impractical people. Don’t give me this battle scene bullshit, I don’t want it.

11. I remain pissed off that there are no actually articulated arguments against Thanos’ fucking stupid plan. What the actual fuck, this is not that hard.

Okay. Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, some things I actually really liked.

1. Steve wielding Mjolnir was fucking amazing and I’m so pleased.

2. Any time Scott was on screen.

3. Peter Parker is a precious child and he needs to be protected.

4. I actually really like the set up for the time travel nonsense, and I liked that they seemed to be doing something other than a mass melee battle. That the group was divided into manageable teams, and sent on different kinds of missions that required them to be clever and play to their different strengths and help each other through. And then they shoved in a giant battle anyway, because fuck you that’s why.

5. I can appreciate what they were trying to do in giving all of the non-returning Avengers decent send-offs, even if I didn’t like some of those conclusions.

6. There were some genuinely funny moments, but I’m struggling to recall them right now.

7. Oh wait! “It’s an earthquake in the middle of the ocean. We handle it by not handling it.” That one was great.

Okay, that’s all for now. I might have more later, once I’ve picked apart the time travel a bit more and dined some processing.

I think it’s also worth noting that like... ensemble movies with a cast this big are *hard.* character are going to end up feeling confined, and there’s less time to grow because there’s just less time per character. But I think we could’ve had better, and I think if they focused more on group growth in the group movies instead of just drama, then they would’ve been in a better place and had a better story.

It’s probably also worth noting that I really liked Thor: Ragnarok, really like Captain Marvel and really didn’t like Infinity War. So I sort of went into Endgame feeling like it had to make up for Infinity War and live up to the higher at from the recent solo movies. And I really wanted to like it. I really wanted them to pull it off. But those are high and fairly specific standards, and so they fell quite short.

Episode 4 | Space Cadet Blasting Off Again - Jessie

We swapped. And what a wild swap it is. I want from the Andro Tribe to the Circi Tribe. And so did Jonathan, Ari and Zoe. Four of us stuck together on a tribe of 5. We also have Ali with us. I’m worried Ali has an idol so I just don’t want us to lose at all. Let’s keep the good vibes flowing.

I encountered an alien in the idol search! I sang them a song and viola! I have a special power. I have the ability to kidnap someone from another tribe, for a full round of the game. They compete in the challenge with us. They'll attend tribal council if we go, but can't be voted out. Kind of a neat little power. It has to be used before merge. So I guess we'll see what happens. If we started with 18, swapped at 15, I imagine that merge will be at 11. I've got a few tribals to figure out when/how to use this power, if I even decide to use it at all. Man, I am loaded. Hidden Immunity Idol and this now. On a DISGUSTING note, someone used a power on me to destroy 10 of my fuel. Thankfully it was only 10 and not a whole lot of it.

I’m actually so annoyed Why the heck would you say “we should throw the challenge .” Like legit why. This is my favourite challenge and I’m not throwing . I get that Jacob hasn’t said a lot but seriously throwing a challenge to get rid of someone who seems kinda new is so stupid . I’m actually so annoyed rn so I’m typing my thoughts so I don’t yell at the person who said they don’t wanna take the time and edit because we are losing anyways . You know what maybe if you didn’t have such a negative attitude about the situation we could turn out a badass video . Fourth straight immunity win! This game is wild. I’ve never done so well before! And now I’ve got another 6 fuel, which is a total of 16 fuel from reward wins. With my hidden immunity idol, and my steal a player advantage, I feel unstoppable. But, things can change at a moments notice so I’m not going to stand on my high horse, I’m going to remain realistic. I don’t have any alliance chats, the only person who has straight up said they want to work with me is Jay who is now going to tribal. It’s almost a bad thing not attending tribal so many times, because I have nothing to test or prove loyalty. Who knows what will happen moving forward.

Well we just lost the challenge. Not that I'm surprised, we pretty much lost it when we didn't communicate for a whole day. I tried to do my part and get people discussing but once it was clear this wasn't gonna be a win for us, I just used it for strategy. I wanted to do my best despite the circumstances to prove that this tribe needs me since I'm active and good in challenges. And I think it worked! The judges shouted me out twice for my part in the video (even tho it kinda sucked, but I guess my white boy dancing was good in comparison). But anyways, I do like this tribe and I'm sad we lost, but I have a little theory on why some people didn't try so hard. It was discussed before the challenge even came out that we wanted Jacob out. How this happened was Nathan approached me as soon as we got onto the new tribe and we called and had a good talk on how we felt about the game. Turns out that the queen herself, Jessie Flynn, advocated for me as an ally to Nathan before we even swapped. And us both, and Jessie, all felt good about Cindi too. And ever since then, Nathan's been in my DMs talking about voting for Jacob. So overall I think I landed myself in a pretty sweet spot on this disaster of a tribe and hopefully we can get our shit together for the next challenge, cause things won't be so clear cut next time.

WE WON. THANK *GOD.* after flying across the country yesterday and dealing with several minor life crises, i literally spent the ENTIRETY of today working on that video - meaning from when i woke up at 10 to fifteen minutes before when it was due - and also spent seven whole dollars at the dollar tree for props & costumes soooooo if we had not won i would've been quite embarrassed. i was nervous about the editing part, as i've not ever actually put together a music video challenge, just weird silly videos like me as zac efron.... but it turned out okay! i'm not 100% satisfied with my work (i wanted to put more transition effects & it needed more variety / staging to make it less repetitive) but hey it was a thousand miles above the other teams' submissions so i will take it!!! and i never have to listen to space jam again!! anyway, i guess this means another boring day around camp. winning reward got me two more adventure missions, which i used to mostly complete the outside portion of the quest and jonathan is i think gonna finish it off for us tonight. i am hoping/assuming he'll get whatever is there since it's been literally only 48 hours since this started and the door keypad had five zillion combos, and that'd mean that's the last thing in this adventure probably? oh wait nvm we still have a shit ton of stuff to check in the hallway i should do that next. but yeah so that'll be good and i hope it is an advantage or a disadvantage that he won't play on me LOL. if i wake up and all my fuel is destroyed.... i know where you've been jonny! not much else to report right now. it sounds like ali's doing a good job of getting himself in the good graces of zoe and jonathan, which is the most ideal scenario for me so we can say bye-bye keegan. i was a bit worried that if we lost this challenge i wouldn't have a plausible reason to argue to jonathan for keeping ali - or actually, more likely, i think he would have wanted to vote zoe? she hasn't been around as much and he did express concern on saturday about whether she's doing okay. luckily though, this W has bought me a few more days to work on getting the people i like to like each other.

so the tribe swap went pretty much the best it possibly could, as i got swapped majority with the two members of my tribe i talked to the most. we won immunity so i'm chilling for another week. unfortunately, mj and silver seem to have no interest in talking to me. both of them left me on read after i initiated conversation. so. sits.

So despite the easy seeming vote, I'm still gonna be nervous until the votes get read. These players are no joke, especially knowing that Alex was completely blindsided by Nathan and Jessie. I'm staying positive because I think it's like, a 90% chance I'm in the clear, but you really don't know until you know LOL. I'm just trying to set up my position on this tribe and for the future. I've gone to Cindi, Jessie, and Nathan individually and reassured them that I'm with them for the long haul. TRIBAL AGAIN. I'm so nervous. I'm the only one from Circi so that's an easy swap screwed if you ask me. But I hope I'm ok. I think I've made a good bond with Jay Nathan and jessie and they all say we're voting for Cindi so fingers crossed it's not all an elaborate ruse on me

First tribal should be a unanimous vote. I told Nathan if he voted me out I'd block him and our 50 day snap streak would be toast and, like, tbh I think that would crush him. Jay and I want to work together. The only one who might've been sketched out is Jessie but she doesn't have the numbers. It feels insane to be this not paranoid before tribal when I know Jacob is pushing my name...but also I literally don't think that he could get me out?? Like, Nathan and I were/are a dynamic duo so I do not know how he would flip. Jay flipping makes zero sense. The ONLY people this would benefit or be a neutral for is Jessie and Jacob. - so at school daniel went back to his normal self - well- you were actually really confused as to what his normal self was - was it this sweet and adorable guy or this complete douche? - or could it be both..? - you would catch daniel just staring at you blanklessly - but then again, you'd have to be glancing at him to know that - ever since he walked you home he's been calling you shorty a lot more often - in whICH YOU HATED - but it slowly grew on you throughout the day - he'd walk pass by you and as your shoulders would bump into each other he'd whisper "shorty" in a low teasing tone - the day was normal as usual but you could feel yourself gaining attention since daniel would nonstop highkey tease you - like during art class he'd take your paint brushes and you'd go on a hunt for them - and once you found out it was him who took it, you smeared paint all over his face as he died of laughter - suprisingly, you were looking forward to go to daniel's house - but at the same time you were scared as fuck cause you didnt wanna lose your viRGINIty you innocent soul - so afterschool, you walked out of the schoolgates and noticed daniel leaning against it as he was kicking around rocks - he still had paint smeared across his face which you found cute - "aye y/n," he called out - "wash off that paint, you look silly," you replied as you chuckled - "you're the one who tainted the art and beauty of my pure, acne free, handsome face," he spoke as he made facial expressions that made you laugh - "whatever you say buddy," - "oi daniel," a voice called behind you - "ready to go?" you looked behind you to see the group of 10 boys daniel would always hang out with - "uhh yeah," he spoke - "i'll see ya later y/n," - "uhh okay,"

- "rEMEMBER AT 7!" he yelled as he waved goodbye, running to his group - sooooo time skip - you were at the front of his house - ringing his doorbell and yet again no answer - so you rang it to ring ding dong again - but this time no answer - "ahh, sorry im late," a voice spoke behind you - you turned around to see daniel with a bleeding nose, a bruised lip and a cut under his eyes - "daniel whatthefuck happened to you?" you asked as he ignored your question and opened the door - "don't worry about it," he spoke bluntly as he made his way in - you followed once again and you could see blood dripping down onto the floor as his arm was also bleeding - you guys entered his room as he instantly headed towards the bathroom - you heard loud banging as suddenly a loud scratch sound was made - "fUCK" daniel yelled - you entered the bathroom cautiously to see him at the side of the bathtub holding his hand due to the cut he got from the first aid kit - you sighed as you walked towards him and sat beside him, opening the first aid kit - getting out the cream, you opened the lid off and placed some onto your fingertips and applied it to his bruised lip and the cut - daniel whined to the burn - "just endure it, okay? squeeze my hand if you need too," you spoke as you placed your left hand out as your right hand continued to apply the cream - daniel intertwined his fingers with yours as he didn't squeeze at al but you didnt seem to notice it - after applying the cream, you got out the a tissue and wiped the blood off of his bleeding nose very gently, making sure not to hurt it - you threw out the tissue and got out the bandages and applied it to his cut under his eye

- "how'd this happen?" you asked softly - "well- we were gonna go out to the arcade but then these group of gangsters began picking a fight and i took the first hit for guanlin," he spoke softly as his voice cracked in between - "please becareful. i mean, i don't support fighting but if you are going to get into a fight, make sure it's one you can win. but still, violence is bad man..." you spoke even more softly as you finished applying the bandage - "also, you're arm is bleeding," you implied as you could see the blood through his white t-shirt - daniel lifted up the sleve of the shirt to reveal a bruise with blood gushing out - "ouch," you commented as you got out a wet tissue and began dabbing gently onto the blood. this time daniel whinced but squeezed your hand a bit as he clenched his eyes extremly tightly. - after doing so, you got out the cream once again and applied it, then applied the bandage around his arm. - "there! all done! unless you have more scars.." you spoke as you looked at daniel, noticing how lost he was looking into your eyes. he blinked softly as he looked down onto the floor. you noticed how he was still holding your hand, but he began to squeeze it a bit more tighter. - "does it hurt that much?" you asked out of concern - "no, i just don't want to let go of your hand," he replied as a smile appeared across his face - he leaned his head into onto your head as you both slowly began to fall asleep naturally - you soon woke up to be in a bed your not familuar with - "wtf do i still have my virignity?" - "yup," - you saw daniel at the table finishing the presentation part of the project - "hhh fiNISHED!" he yelled as he spotted you awake - "someone's awake," he said with a small gummy grin across his face - "how long was i asleep?" - "an hour or so?" he replied. you got out of bed and skimmed over the oral part of the presentation as you approved of it - "seems pretty good," you spoke - "it's getting late, you should head home," daniel said sadly - you chuckled as you nodded and agreed - once again, he walked you home as he non-stopped teased you - but this time, you took longer glances at him - and it sorta hurt everytime you saw his brusies - fAST FORWARD TO THE NEXT DAY - "wAHHH HOLY SHIT HOW ARE YOUR BRUISES HEALING THAT QUICKLY?????" daehwi ask as he gawks his eyes at daniel - you all were in art class as the teacher had to leave the room for a washroom break - daniel glanced at you with a smile as the group began to tease and shove him around playfully - "i want my bruises to be healed that quickly," jisung said as he pouted. the group all had either major or minor bruises. guanlin had a scar on his neck as woojin had a black eye, it was all a mess and everyone pitied them. - "yO Y/N" you heard a voice call out - you turned away from your canvas - "can you help us with our bruises? i mean the nurse went on vacation so..." jaehwan said as you nodded blanklessly - they all [excluding daniel] were happy to your replyment - so skipping to lunch you met them at the nurse's room as you had the first aid kit out - jisung dASHED TOWARDS THE BED FIRST and sat down cutely as he pointed to the bruised arm he had - none stop helping, cream, tissue, bandage, and some rubbing alcohol here and there and the little ones screamed of the burn due to the pain - you noticed how daniel had a blunt expression on his face as all he did was cross his arms and lean against the wall - after you were done with the 9820329 of them, the 10 of them thanked you and ran off as daniel stayed back - "why so grumpy?" you questioned as you backed away the first aid kid that was almost empty at this point - "nothing," he coldly replied - "oh really?" - "mmmmhm," - "is someone jealous their not the only one who got special treatment????" - "n O," - "admit it daniel you're jealous," you teased as you took a step closer - "am not," he snapped back as he took a step closer - "sure you're not," you teased

Episode 3 - AHHHHH -Heather

I hate Tiktok dances. Im not in shape enough for this but like 150 pts is 150 pts

So I come back from Oak Island and Kevin has been voted out. Excuse me but what? Kevin of all people. The dude was great in challenges and a loyal person. But apparently Sunshine and John said he’d be too controlling at a swap and possibly had an idol? What kind of lame ass excuse is that at the second tribal council? Darcy, Mac and Kyle were all in favour of keeping Kevin over Jessie. Which means that Sunshine, John and Dan have some kind of alliance going on there. I don’t imagine Jessie is really aligned with them and probably only worked with them to keep herself safe. I don’t blame her at all. However, we’re probably going to lose this next challenge (partly because of me throwing it oops) which isn’t the worst thing in the world. If Darcy, Mac, Kyle and myself all stick together, and none of us go to Oak Island (Kyle and myself can’t), the four of us would have the majority to vote out any of the other three who don’t go to Oak Island. And as of right now, I think John and Sunshine still feel like I’m on their side. So I’m a little bit in the middle right now. I’ve got my fingers crossed everyone else on the tribe can pull together a win but a whole ass person not submitting for this is definitely a huge disadvantage for us.

In my opinion, one of the most important things to be aware of while playing survivor is your threat level. You can't exactly be too big of a threat or else you'll get voted out, and you also can't be too little of a threat or else you'll just get taken to the end, or be seen as an easy vote. This is why the meat shield strategy is one of the best ways to play survivor; be a threat, but never the biggest threat. However, I'm not playing the meat shield strategy right now, because quite frankly I don't feel like I need to. I'm so under everyone's radar, that I don't see myself going home anytime soon. Also, since this is my first time playing, it's hard to get a read on who really is a meat shield and who isn't. However, I'll be sure to make big moves; just not too many to get targeted over anyone else.

IDK WHO IS SITTING OUT BUT SOMEONE WHO THOUGHT THEY WERE SITTING OUT AND I THOUGHT WAS SITTING OUT IS IN. IDK IF THERE IS TIME BUT I AM THE BIG ANXIOUS ABOUT THIS CHALLENGE NOW.

Kevin going home was upsetting for me. Sunshine, Jessie, Dan and John are dead to me. I need to convince Keegan to join myself, Darcy and Kyle if any of us are gonna get anywhere in this game. I didn’t search for the idol yesterday because I was feeling sick and was upset with Kev leaving. I just don’t wanna go back to tribal. Otherwise I’ll be saying a few words at tribal.

I am very nervous for this challenge. Evan hasn't done anything so far , but if we lose, we need him as a number so we are stuck in a sticky situation. Livingston a while ago thought you only had to do a select few and I am worried because I don't want to lose a challenge I worked so hard for just because people won't try. I hate having a for the tribe mentality because like I don't want to seem like a challenge threat but its more we have to work together and get as many points as humanly possible.

ok so this tribe turned into a literal mess. So i said i wanted to sit out of the challenge because i didn't have a lot of the items, and then i got ignored by like two members of the tribe which meant I was doing the challenge and evan and coco were sitting out. Honestly, I'm livid that I was ignored by people because that I take personally. I could care less about the challenge, even though I know i'd get like 6 points because i have papers and stuff to do. Luckily, we figured things out and evan is doing the challenge. If we win, awesome, but if we lose, I definitely have a couple people on my list. Luckily though, I'm in a 5 person alliance with Heather, Austin, Evan and Coco. That makes me feel safe at this specific time in the game, but I can't help but wonder who we will all vote for if we go to tribal tomorrow.

The dynamics right now are absolutely hilarious let’s breakdown: Heather: is currently having a panic attack bc this challenge is a mess & literally no one knows what they’re doing Eric: says ‘I’m not doing this’ then dips for like 20 hours. Evan & Coco are confirmed as sit outs, Eric gets mad at the hosts for some reason, & then forces himself to sit out. Evan: was confirmed as a sit out, dips for 20 hours because he thinks he’s not doing anything, comes back like ‘wait what’ & is hella salty Livingston: didn’t know that each person had to individually post everything Glo: is a angel her videos are killing me she is the comedic relief during these dark times. She also suggests we have one person go TWICE & have 3 sit outs LMAO Me: fucking cackling anytime anyone speaks in a passive aggressive tone We were supposed to be the tribe that loves each other now look what happened

It honestly feels horrible not submitting a damn thing for a challenge because I am certain we’re going to lose because of it. But I don’t want to try my best in the challenge and have us still lose and then lose my vote at tribal. It’s just not worth it. On the plus side, even if we do lose the challenge Darcy, Kyle and Mac are all pretty down to blindside Sunshine for being snakey. So unless they change their mind right away and decide to axe me I should be in a good position.

My legs are sore and I made TIKTOKS to win by over 1000. Im..... I was gonna set a plan to get Livingston out but I mean I guess

We lost the challenge, surprise surprise. By a heck of a lot so I’m hella glad I accept the Oak Island challenge and didn’t submit for the challenge. It wouldn’t have even mattered. So we lose the challenge and shout our ho hums in tribe chat before it dies and everyone disperses to their quiet hidey holes to scheme against each other. And lo and behold Dan has immediately thrown my name out for not submitting in the challenge. Because I alone was the reason we lost. Whatever. Darcy is going under cover with Sunshine and Dan right now, Kyle is trying to act like a free agent and I’m sitting here twiddling my thumbs wondering why the minority of Sunshine, Dan and John aren’t approaching the one person who wasn’t at all involved in the Kevin tribal. They honestly aren’t that smart if they’re straight up ignoring the one impartial person. Whatever. I wouldn’t actually vote with them since they voted out Kevin who was fantastic and useful. (#RevengeForKevin). Also, since I completed my Oak Island challenge I now have an extra vote I can use up until the final 5! I shouldn’t have to use it this tribal, thankfully. It will probably come in handy during a swap!

Is this what its like to be on a successful tribe? So unused to this. This gives me time to think and bond more. I’m thinking my first instinct to be threatened by glo and aim for her was wrong, it might make more sense to get her onside and use her both as a shield but also as a scapegoat for targetting others? We’ll see. Still good with Heather and Austin as a core three, and Livingston and Chips would be a good pair to link with if needed. Hopefully if swap comes I’m with some of them.

I’m crying at the fact we killed at. Like all of us were actually scared of losing & arguing & causing chaos & it was all for nothing & it’s AMAZING Also glo is scaring me she’s getting clingy she’s like “you wouldn’t miss me if we swapped” and I’m like what she’s like “tehe I was JOKING silly 😜” and like. I’m sorry what. Maybe I’m overreacting but that type of language makes me v uncomfy. Ion know that really off put me I’m gonna take a break from socializing. I’m pretty sensitive to behavior like that so I feel like it’s healthy to distance

Me, Kyle, Keegan and Darcy are a good 4. With Jessie going to Oak Island that leaves Sunshine, Dan and John vulnerable. Keegan shared to me that he won an Extra Vote at Oak Island, which he hasn’t shared with Kyle and (maybe) not Darcy. I’m worried because I feel like I’m the 4th and not the 1st. Kyle admitted Kevin was his closest ally. My idol hunt is going alright. Definitely progress made.

Fuck losing every challenge so far that’s all I have to say

I’m not sure if I’m feeling sick because I’m just sick or it’s the stress from this vote. I don’t want to be out this early. I can’t be out this early. If Kyle, Darcy and Mac can be trusted then I’m definitely safe and John is going home. I think I can trust them. I hope I can trust them. Why are we playing so damn hard so early in this game? Everyone needs to chill out or we’ll end up like Matsing.

Going to tribal I feel safe but nervous about what will happen in the aftermath. My group of 4 are pretty chill and not budging. Bye John.

No Swap, Thank God!! I think im fairly decent at this type of challenge. I won an individual immunity in this challenge once but idk how ill do with a tribe.

Oh my god my alliance is now in control! Yeah boi. Sunshine being HELLA QUIET after John’s boot was spooky but, I mean, he can’t complain since he did the exact same thing last vote. My problem now is not being the 4th member of the alliance. I’m scared that people will see me as riding coattails. I mean controlling the idol hunt is a cute look.

Our tribe was on a roll and had won 2 challenges in a row. I was starting to get busy taking care of my crush, and because of this, I had to sit out. However, apparently two people stated they were sitting out before I did. But the thing is, I never knew that. So I decided to disconnect from skype for the day to be with the one I love. However, I turn on skype the next day, and I'm bombarded with messages telling me to do the challenge. This really overwhelmed me, but then I realized it was an opportunity.

Glo realized how much of a sticky situation I was in, and she came to my help, and told me she would be with me until I finish it if she needs to. Ultimately I wouldn't have been able to finish the challenge if she hadn't helped me. She also played it up as if I stepped up for the team last second and made an impact. I still can't tell if she did this from the goodness of her heart, or if she did it for strategic reasons. But, I do think it was moreso strategic, because she did mention that after she helped me as much as she did, that we would have to be aligned. So because of that, her actions don't really mean as much to me as it should, and I will take out Glo if it's necessary and beneficial for my game.

Hello, I really love your work! I wanted to request a fic where the reader is a background actress in Dunkirk and she meets & becomes friends with Jack. It's obvious that she has feelings for him but she doesn't think that he'd ever like her back- until one day they get caught in the rain and she's a huge hopeless romantic so she blurts out something like "I'd love to be kissed in the rain" without even thinking and then he suddenly kisses her :') SORRY IF THIS IS TOO LONG IM GONNA SHUT UP NOW A/N: I fell so in love with this prompt and wrote nearly 1500 words of PURE FLUFF! It had been simultaneously the longest, yet quickest, month on the set of Dunkirk for Y/N and she was absolutely not ready to say goodbye to everyone she had befriended, especially knowing that their journey with the film was still continuing past her departure. She was so incredibly grateful, and oh so proud of herself, for the role. No matter how minor it was. In that short space of time she had become such good friends with, not only a lot of the background cast, but also the main cast, which excited her more than she cared to admit. One in particular had caught her eye from day one, and she definitely was not about to admit that anytime soon. Especially not to those pesky gossiping boys.

Jack Lowden had the ability to turn her into a fumbling and blushing fool with just one smile, but also managed to pull out a flirtatious and cheeky side of her that she seldom showed. Simply put, she was a bit of a general mess around him and, unbeknownst to her, the lads had caught it early on and saw the change in their friend as she started to become more attracted to the Scottish man. Maybe it was her scarlet flushes when she was around him, maybe it was how much she teased him back when he did it to her, perhaps it was the way she spoke about him when he wasn’t around, or maybe it was the way her whole demeanour changed as soon as she saw him. Either way, they’d noticed but kept quiet to both Jack and Y/N, not wanting to meddle or cause any complications in their already interesting relationship. Her last day on set was celebrated, during the evening, with the lads – Jack, Tom, Aneurin, Barry, Fionn & Harry – as well as a few of the minor cast that she has worked more closely with. She was so thrilled that they all wanted to spend that last day with her, still in awe that she’d made such good friends. As the night drew to a close, everyone content with a few drinks, good food and wonderful company, they bid her farewell with cuddles, kisses, good luck and a promise of keep in touch, something that she absolutely intended to stick to. After all, they shared this journey with each other and that would always bind them all together. Just as she was saying goodbye to the last person leaving, Jack appeared behind her and rested his hands on her shoulders, squeezing them for reassurance, “C’mon princess, lemme walk you back.” She shivered as they stepped out into the cool evening air, the temperature evidently dropped whilst they were inside the restaurant, “Take this, can’t have you catching your death out here,” he placed his jacket over her shoulders which she kindly accepted and slipped her arms through the sleeves that were miles too long for her small frame. “Thanks J, such a gent as always,” she grinned up at him. As soon as he returned the expression, she suddenly felt like her stomach was rearranging, it was churning and tickling and she felt dread but also happiness, the most odd mixture of feelings overtaking her body. How was she going to go each day without seeing him now? Y/N had always been the most ridiculous and hopeless romantic, in love with the idea of being in love and clichés and she didn’t care one bit. Until suddenly she did and she felt like she was suffocating under the weight of her feelings. “Set’s gonna be so weird without you, won’t be the same.” She averted her gaze to the floor as they walked, her hair fell over her face and she bit her lip, partly due to nerves and partly to stop her from crying on the spot. “You won’t even notice I’m gone, you’ll be fine.” She let out a weak laugh and the brightest smile she could muster just in case he could see even part of her face, trying to make it clear that she wasn’t bothered by it, although of course she was. She was an actress after all. ‘Don’t say that, you’re the glue, the one that keeps us lads in check, who’s gonna look after us now?” His voice sounded weaker than she’d heard before, so in tune with his actions and tone of voice and everything that she didn’t realise she’d picked up on over the past 4 weeks. She looped her arm through his and softly sighed, “I’m only on the other end of a phone if you really need me. But you’re all big boys, you can handle yourselves.” Jack brought his free arm across his chest and squeezed her hand that was looped around him, “I‘ll just miss you, that’s all.” Not even a moment later a few rain drops had started to fall and it felt like the biggest metaphor for her life and she wanted to burst into tears because this was seriously unfunny. “Bloody rain.” Within thirty seconds the heavens had opened and the rain was pouring and pouring, heavily bouncing on the floor and the sound almost deafening. Suddenly they both began to laugh, there was no use trying to seek shelter, they were already soaked through. “I’ll miss you too, y’know? All of you, so much. You better all keep in touch, you can’t leave me sad and lonely for the rest of my life, okay?” Jack snickered at her teasing tone and released her arm, taking her hand in his by their sides. She couldn’t even think about that gesture without feeling giddy. “We can’t have that, I‘ll ring you everyday if I have to.” “Deal.” She smiled and lightly rested her head against his shoulder as they continued to walk, only five or so minutes away from where she was staying. “That’s something else I’ve never done,” she mumbled quietly. “What haven’t you done?” Y/N looked to Jack a little awkwardly, not expecting to be heard but letting the words fall out of her without another thought. Her head shook, “nothing, it’s silly.” “Tell me, I’m curious.” “I have this mental list where I note down silly clichés that I’ve yet to experience. It’s so lame, I know, but I’m such a girl about some things,” she looked so bashful and Jack had never been so endeared by anyone before, “I’ve never kissed anyone in the rain, and it’s probably so impractical and nowhere near as romantic as films make it look, but it’s just a thing-” Before she could even finish the sentence, Jack had pulled himself away from her and stepped in front of her, in her direct personal space, and kissed away the rest of her rambling. He gently cradled the back of her head, pressing her closer to him as he held her in place, his lips firmly against hers. Her eyes slipped shut and she tried to focus on him, and only him, the way he kissed, the way he felt against her and the way he was making her feel. She didn’t want to think about how crazy this was or how he was probably being a good friend and ticking this off her list. She just wanted to think about how this was actually happening, and that he initiated it, sober. A few moments later he pulled away and rested his forehead against hers, the most handsome smile pulling at his mouth as he fixed his gaze onto hers, “Did that satisfy that particular cliche experience?” “I might need a repeat, just so I know what I’m comparing it to,” her voice came out particularly breathy and she felt like she was having an out of body experience. “That can be arranged,” he pulled her into a more bruising kiss this time, more sure of himself and that what he was doing was okay and acceptable and wanted. “There’s a lot more on that list, y’know, just if you’re interested.” “We’ve got plenty of time to complete that list, together,” Y/N’s breath hitched and she had the biggest look of relief and adoration on her face, completely matching his, “maybe somewhere drier though, and let’s sleep first because I’m shattered and really fancy a cuddle.” He had the cheekiest grin on his face as he said that, and she was pretty sure that she was about to tick off something else from her list that she didn’t even know she wanted. major: dance education

minor: biology

sports: archery club

clubs: wanted to join an on campus band but he actually isn’t that good at playing guitar.......so instead he gets lessons from joshua whose in college choir and now he can successfully play........one song

minhyuk is the shining star in all of his classes because no matter how many times he messes up, no one can get angry because his smile is blinding and his intentions are never bad

like literally his clumsiness is out of this world and his memory fixates on one thing and forgets about everything else so when he shows up to bio class completely prepared with the notes he took down for chapter 7, even though you were supposed to read chapter 6 like,,,, the teacher lets it slide and everyone in his group helps him out

because like he wants to do his best he’s just prone to ,,,, mixing things up

but don’t get me wrong he works hard and studies hard, his grades are better than jooheons (which really bothers jooheon LOL)

and sure maybe coming out of lab covered in the ethanol he spilled on himself is a bit......

or when the teacher refers to a salida and he can’t stop giggling because god it sounds like salad right- right???

can make him seem goofy and silly but that doesn’t mean he’s not serious when he needs to be

like he even tutored some of the kids in his class in bio because he’s actually really good at it, no matter how clumsy he comes off in lab, like he knows his stuff

because more than anything he wants to learn how to be a studious teacher who doesn’t only bring joy to his students through dancing - but also learning how important exercise is to the human body

kinesiology minor seungcheol is always lending minhyuk his textbooks because minhyuk wants to know even more on the science of body movement

and no one gets how minhyuk finds reading that stuff so damn entertaining, but at the same time minhyuk is too cute to say no to

like to all students and teachers alike, like i mentioned this before but seriously his smile and his happiness is contagious

he’s the campus happy virus

and whenever he gets to see younger kids like when he goes to competitions with the archery team and he sees like the middle school division he’s like

pulling on a fellow teammate shownu’s sleeve like hYUNG LOOK THEYRE SO CUTE AND SMALL

says the adorable boy whose bow is covered in like stickers of puppies and flowers and whenever he gets a perfect ten he throws hearts at the audience

also he thinks love is cute. like minhyuk loves love he thinks couples are the best and parents with their kids make him excited

and whenever him and the guys go out to eat and like karaoke or whatever minhyuk always points to couples sharing drinks or holding hands and he’s like ~~~~Soooo ROmanticcccc

and hyungwon is shoving fries into his mouth like huh and kihyun is like yo minhyuk i can hook you up just tell me i gotchu bro

except minhyuk is like kihyun No Offense but i Dont Trust You

kihyun: im gonna pretend im not offended but just know that i aM offended and this severing of our friendship is going down in my diary tonight

but basically minhyuk is an angelic boy who is always trying to see the positive in everything and probably dances to music when he’s out at the mall and everyone in his friend group is like we don’t know him but the cashiers can’t help but smile like what a CUTE kid

not a kid he is in college but you know what i mean everything and anything he does is endearing from singing bio terms out loud to remember them to staying up past 4 am to practice his own dancing, sweaty hair pulled back and determined eyes....ok we’re getting off track

but yes you know minhyuk because he’s your neighbor in the off campus living house

and he lives directly next door and the building is like 70 years old the walls are as thin as paper so every night between the hours of 10 and midnight you hear some kind of music coming from his side of the wall

and for a while you were like,,,,,,,why the hell does he listen to the same song on repeat for two to three hours???? is it like his studying mechanism???

until you saw the poster of the seoul ballet recital hanging off his front door right under it the iconic photo of michael jackson’s moonwalk and you were like

“oh. dance major.”

and tbh you don’t really complain,,,,the music he dances to is actually not as bad as you thought it would be. like sure one night it’s jazz, the next it’s hip-hop, then you can’t believe it but is that,,,,,clogging music?

but it kinda becomes a habit of yours to stay up, glancing at the clock when it hits ten and you can hear minhyuk moving furniture around in his room to make space to practice and then you always get a neat surprise when he turns on some kind on new music

although you have to admit you almost spit all your coffee out when you heard the cotton-eyed joe song

you think it is really cool how hardworking and dedicated minhyuk must be to dancing

but it’s kind of funny because like,,,,you’ve never seen him

LIKE you don’t really know what he looks like because you have no classes in the dance major and your schedules never cross because like

you’re on campus for your classes and then you have work and you’re sure minhyuk has class and then practice or whatever

basically you’ve never ??? like ?? seen him in the hallway of your house or even down in the communal kitchen

but the fact doesn’t bother you because you’re not friends with his friends you guys are just neighbors that like,,,,,,never talk LOL

until one night when you’re settling in with your coffee, textbook open, hoping that tonight’s music selection by minhyuk is the waltz or something so you can actually concentrate

and to your luck that’s what it sounds like and you smile to yourself as you start taking notes and slowly swaying to the music in your seat

but then,,,,,all of a sudden,,,,,,the music cuts off

and you turn to look at the wall with your eyebrows furrowed because - this has never happened

so you wait a bit,,,but ten minutes passes and,,,,nothing,,,,,,,,,

no music no sounds,,,,,,

and you don’t know why but something inside of you tells you that something is wrong

and although it’s probably awkward to worry about someone you know close to nothing about it is neighbor courtesy to take care of one and another

so you venture out of your apartment and over to the next one and you knock on the door, putting your ear to it and trying to listen but ?? there’s no response

so you lean closer and put your hand on the doorknob and??? the door just opens like it wasn’t locked at all

and your fear about something being wrong heightens by like ten fold

and you call out an “I’m sorry for disturbing you, but can I come in?”

and then you hear it, a faint groan of pain and the voice of someone asking for help

and you run down the hall to see a boy laying on the floor, clutching his ankle in pain and you’re like oh my god??? and you rush over to him and you’re like

“what’s wrong??”

and he looks up at you and even with his face twisted in pain he’s still,,,,like wow,,,,,like he’s handsome

but now is not the TIME and you’re like ???? “should i call an ambulance? get the med student from floor 5????” and minhyuk’s like shaking his head and pointing to the door like

“ice, from the kitchen downstairs......” and you’re like ICE OK ROGER WAIT HERE DONT MOVE

and minhyuk is like “i??? can’t??”

and you’re like rIGHT r i ght one second

and so you rush downstairs and get a bag of ice and back upstairs and as you’re running down the hall you’re like in your head you’re like

okokokok if anything is broken we should go to the hospital - but can i carry him? would that be ok? should i ask him? also why didn’t i at least comb my hair i look so bad and he’s so cute - wait wait don’t think that!!!

and finally you barge back into his apartment and run over with the ice and you’re like “is your ankle broken??? i think i should call-”

and minhyuk is like again shaking his head

and then when he looks up at you, he somehow even manages to break into a smile

and you’re like hOW aren’t you in pain

but he just takes the ice and applies it to his ankle and he’s like AHH IT HURTS and you’re like !!!! but then he grins at you like “just kidding, i mean it does hurt but not a lot the ice will help in no time~”

and you’re like “it’s not broken???”

and minhyuk’s like pFFT nooooo it’s just twisted!!!! and he gives you a thumbs up

and you’re like “i didn’t hear the music from next door and then i heard you fall so i thought i’d come in here and you’d be like bleeding from your nose-”

minhyuk breaks into laughter, but winces a bit but he’s like “no!! dancers should all know how to fall to make sure they don’t break anything, it’s like the first thing you teach the kids too”

and you tilt your head like ??? the kids

and minhyuk’s like “oh, im a dance education major not a dance major” and your eyes widen a bit because wow you,,,didn’t know that

but somehow it fits even more afterall here he is laughing off twisting his ankle, keeping bright and sunny even though most people would be ): right about now

you can’t help but think such a good personality is perfect for teachers

but anyway you nod and you’re like “oh, i didn’t know - that’s cool!” and minhyuk’s like “sO you’re my neighbor? you must really not like it since you have to listen to all my weird music”

but you shake your head and you’re like “not at all! actually i always look forward to ten o’clock because i know you’ll play something interesting and it doesn’t bother me - if it does i just go out and hang in someone elses apartment, but really - i have grown fond of it”

and minhyuk kind of looks at you funny and you’re like “what???” and he’s like chuckling like “nothing, just the neighbors across the hall hate me for it. he’s always chasing me around campus when he sees me like ‘i need to study for my finals!!! not listen to tango music!!!”

the mental image makes you giggle and minhyuk extends his hand for you to shake and he’s like “it’s nice to meet you, neighbor who actually doesn’t hate me”

and you shake it and grin like “nice to meet you too, neighbor who i don’t actually hate”

and you guys both laugh this time and it’s really not awkward at all

finally, minhyuk’s twisted ankle is ok enough for him to get up and he mentions going back to practice but you’re like are you nuts no you’re gonna twist it again just go rest and minhyuk is like fiiiiiiine and you laugh and say that you’ll be going then

and as you shut the door to his apartment behind you, you notice this fuzzy warm feeling in your stomach

and you’re like oh no,,,,,,don’t,,,,,,don’t get a crush on him oh no o h no

but too late

you get home and crawl into bed and all you can think of is that bright smile of his, his sweet voice,,,,,,,,plUS the fact that he works so hard not for himself but to be a good teacher for kids LIKE IS HE AN ANGEL

and you try to cover your face with your pillow and be like stop. thinking. about. minhyuk.

but you can’t and tbh,,, on the otherside of the wall he can’t stop thinking about you either and you’re both lying in bed like two dweebs smiling to yourselves because “oh my god who know my neighbor was so DARN CUTE”

but again, you and minhyuk’s schedules are solar systems apart so you never bump into each other but then one day you hear a knock on your door and you open it to see this tall lanky looking guy with a book under his hand and a shorter more visibly excited guy and they’re both like

“minhyuk said you should come over, we’re playing a video game and we need one more person for our team”

and you’re like UH,,,,i don’t really game- but hyungwon is like “me either, yet these losers are making me so let’s go”

and that’s how you end up sqaushed into minhyuks side on his couch playing some video game as kihyun shouts at the screen and that guy hyungwon presses random buttons on his controller

and the other two, changkyun and jooheon are both about to chuck their controllers out the window

and it’s so crazy and loud and minhyuk leans over at some point and he’s like

“sorry to drag you into this mess, our friend shownu is picking up or other friend wonho from the airport after his study abroad and we need a minimum of six people so,,,,,”

and you’re like AH don’t worry about it!! sorry i suck tho

and minhyuk is like “oh it’s because you don’t know the controls, here let me show you”

and you think he’s just going to take the controller from you, but instead he puts his hands over yours and he’s like “ok so you press X to dodge and then B-”

and you’re trying to concentrate by his hands are so warm and so big covering yours and you’re nodding absentmindedly but in reality you can’t hear anything he’s saying

not until you hear the door open and in walk in two more boys, one with a suitcase in hand and you look up and you guess this is wonho and shownu

and wonho is like “I’m back!! I see everyone’s the same - oh hello, are you minhyuk’s significant other?”

and wonho’s eyes focus on you and so does everyone elses in the room and you’re like UM

and minhyuk quickly takes his hands off yours and he turns cherry red and you’re like !!!!!! trying to gather your thoughts until you just blurt out “he’s my neighbor!”

and wonho is like huh do neighbors usually cuddle on couches like you two are??? and you’re like WE’RE NOT cU DD Li ng,,,,,,,but i mean you are practically halfway into his lap with minhyuks arm looped around your shoulders so mayb it looks like that but minhyuk is clearing his throat like ANYWAY HOW WAS YOUR TRIP

and that’s enough to distract everyone and you get up like i think,,,,,i should go?? and minhyuk’s like what no you should stay-

but you’re like bowing as you leave like iT WAS FUN BYE

and you’re back in your room so you don’t hear how all the boys abandon the talk about wonho’s trip and are like MINHYUK YOU LIKE THEM DONT YOU

and minhyuk is like yES BUT U IDIOTS RUINED IT FOR ME

but,,,,,,they totally didn’t

because the next day as you’re heading for your weekly study group you bump right into someone and??? it’s minhyuk??? and you’re like “i never see you in the library??” and minhyuk is blushing again scratching his neck like,,,,”y-yeah but hyungwon knows this kid in your study group who knows you and they told me you’d be here anyway um i kind of want to apologize for you know,,,being a noisy neighbor and also for my embarrassing friends last night-”

and you’re like looking down at your book in your hands trying not to smile a bit because you can kind of tell where this is going

and minhyuk takes a breath and he’s like “-but also i came because i wanted to know if you maybe want to,,,,,,,goonadateliketogetsomeicecreamorsomething some time.....”

and you almost giggle, but you look up and you’re like

“id love that. want to meet after my study group is over?” and minhyuk lights up like a goddamn christmas tree he’s like YES ill,,,,,be waiting

and you nod and head toward the table where your group is and minhyuk steps into a random aisle to do an excited little wiggle dance that the student next to him sees and is just like eyes emoji about

but yeah you and minhyuk do go on this little date

and you guys eat mango ice cream together and minhyuk talks about how he’s recently thought about quitting archery so he can make more time to apply for this job at a local dance academy

and you tell him about your studies

and even though your fields are miles apart minhyuk is still so interested and supportive of everything you’re telling him, like he’s more engaged than some of your friends when you tell him and like it always feels good to have someone acknowledge you

and minhyuk is that kind of person. he never lets a conversation die

and like you get your ice-cream even though it’s pretty cold out and minhyuk is like “are your hands cold??” because when you walk out of the cafe you’re blowing on them

you’re like a bit,,,i think i shouldn’t have ordered a cone and held it-

and then suddenly minhyuk is taking your hands in his and slipping them into his coats pocket and he’s like ^^ is that warm??

and you’re like ohmy ogdo,,,,,but also you’re like yes ;; and you can feel minhyuks fingers link with yours in his pocket and you’re like

gosh he’s so cute H O W

and after that you two go on many more dates,,,even though sometimes your dates get interrupted by minhyuk’s many different friends (most of all though monsta x magically appears at the like movie you two decided to go to ‘by accident’ and won’t stop teasing minhyuk about how c*rny he is for taking you to a romcom but then you’re like shut up you all bought tickets to the romcom JUST to make fun of us but i saw jooheon cry! jooheon: sniffing DONT COME FOR ME blows his nose)

but you don’t mind minhyuk’s friends and you don’t mind minhyuks loud music, loud laugh, loud personality aT ALL in fact you adore it

because he’s so lively and nothing is ever awkward with him

minhyuk makes you feel like you’re always welcome to tell him anything

to put it simply minhyuk, very quickly, starts feeling like home to you

and speaking of home you spend like 50% of your time over at his apartment

instead of listening to him practice through the walls of your room you actually come over and watch him dance

and he’s always like ‘score me’ and you’re like ‘10′ and he’s like nOOOO u said 10 yesterday TOOO and you’re like sorry you’re perfect and i love you

and minhyuk gets embarrassed like DONT say you love me so easily

and you’re like “too bad: I love you I love you I love you I l-”

minhyuk shuts you up with a kiss and then covers his face like AH CANT BELIEVE I DID THAt

and you’re just giggling because it’s cute how he gets embarrassed of himself

but also minhyuk knows the perfect way to get you flustered too whenever he’s practicing he will sometimes pull you up on your feet and be like “dance with me!!”

and you’re like oh,,,babe no i SUCK

but he puts his hands on your hips and tries moving you this way and that or holds your hands and twirls you around and you’re always like min!!!!hyuk!!!! but he just laughs until you go along with it

and you two get tired and collapse on his floor and minhyuk rolls over to smile at you with his sweaty hair in his face

and in that moment everytime you get this rush of emotions and you’ll move closer to kiss him a little more passionately than usual and minhyuk always kisses back

but he also pushes away first and curls up into an embarrassed blushy little ball and you pout becuase you’re like minhyuk come back,,,,,come back let me kiss you again !!! and maybe do more

and minhyuk is like oK but let’s get on the couch at least-

such a gentleman even when he doesnt have to be hehe

you once came over and you couldn’t find him and then you heard the shower running so you were like ok!! ill join him

and when you did you damn near almost gave him a heart attack but he was thankful and it was cute you washed his hair and shoulders

and also did some other things which i will not discuss in detail (-:

but yeah you think minhyuk looks the best in his sweatpants, dancing diligently along with the music

you can see the passion in his eyes and the love he has for it and sometimes he gets down on himself

because people pass him off as some kind of airheaded kid who probably doesn’t try hard in his studies

but you just hold his cheeks and kiss his whole face and you’re like “you know you’re going to prove them all wrong - you’re going to be a great teacher.”

sometimes you get texts from changkyun whose like “your boyfriends a lab safety hazard he almost lit the lab plants on fire” and you’re like “isn’t he charming <33333″ changkyun: “...........no”

minhyuk telling you random facts about your bones and like how they work and you’re just like lol imagine if all my joints were made of jello and minhyuk is like oh my god that’d be cool though

hyungwon: what the hell are you two talking about. like ever

but also you two are so heart-warming to see because minhyuk adores you to pieces and he’s vocal about it with his friends and sometimes someone is like “why are you smiling at your phone?” and minhyuk’s just like “im reading my conversation with y/n and they’re so funny and stunning and amazing and lovely and -”

you too tbh someone is like what do you like about your boyfriend and you have like a power point slide ready at hand you just

you both just love each other so much and so whole heartedly

the neighbor who complains about minhyuk’s music comes over one day pissed off and you’re just like

apologizing on minhyuks behalf and you’re like “maybe we can go practice in my room since its further away?” and minhyuks like ok!!!

EPISODE 4 “The World Doesn't Revolve Around Jaiden Hantz” Jaiden

I voted for Jonathan because I thought that's what people were doing. Ashley went home.... Jonathan called out Alex after tribal who is my ONLY ally in this game.... I did the duel and lost so now we have to go straight back to tribal after a fucked up messy vote........ do i want to be alive???????

I'M SORRY RYAN! SHOUTOUT TO Ruthie/Kendall/Alex/Drew (whichever one I decided upon) for saving your life in this game an extra round. I was about to vote you out, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Tbh I was kinda looking forward to losing this round and dedicating tonight to plotting someone's life being destroyed, but I guess winning is okay too. Now my tribe likely won't vote me out because I saved their asses because everyone was fucking PRAISING Ashton for winning last time, so now I guess I'm in the same boat, but he did his for 5 hours and I did mine for 12 minutes, but oh well. Sorry Richie, I hope you don't go home because you gave it your all! I also totally probably wouldn't have won that duel if it wasn't Survivor Trivia considering it's one of the only things in life I'm actually good at. Time to get high now :)

Why haven't they exiled Jaiden, who says that the reason the word "SOMEONE" was capitalized was because it had to be a fat person. Jaiden ur dumb bye

So after Brian was rescued and Pat sent home, I knew I might have put myself out there a little far.....so knowing that we're going to tribal again, I want to pull back the reigns and slide back into the shadows.

The three names that are coming up most often are Jonathan, Ashley, and Kage. Jonathan's name seemed the most rampant in the earlier part of the round until he came online to form a power alliance between himself, Sarah, Brian, Tommy, Junior, Jaiden, and myself. This changed the minds of the people in the alliance to targeting Ashley instead (given that she was semi-inact and on the outer)

Side-Note: Brian, Sarah, and I have an alliance so it works perfectly for us to camouflage.

And Kage, oh silly Kage, thinking that Ashley was somehow the right person to go after for his game....basically campaigned against her too despite her campaigning against Jonathan, thus helping both of them. Classic Kage.

Anyways. I was going to tell Alex about it considering I still had allegiance to him (as Junior did to Linus and Richie), but then I come to find out that he was co-leading an alliance with Kage that included the two of them, Tommy, Linus, and Ashley. Tommy claimed it had been made the first round and had halfway dissolved but thought I should know since we are so "close" and since they flipped on him in the first vote...

Now, although I'm not sure I believe it entirely yet, I didn't tell Alex about the vote going against Ashley because A) I kinda thought he knew B) In the case that Tommy is telling the truth, I don't want to be the idiot that caused a correct idol play to occur and have Jonathan go home. I can mend my bridge with Alex despite what the truth is, but I can't mend the bridge with my alliance if I were the reason one of them went home.

So although Ashley seemed like a gem, she had to go....now let's hope I can stay in the safe-zone and stay alive at our next tribal...

Kage is such a sweet guy and I know he means no harm but girl... you're going home. It was inevitable that his target was going to be front and center and it seems like this round is his unless he pulls out an idol. I do think that he would vote another direction, say Richie or Jonathan, but I'm not 100% sure. He thinks it would be iconic if we went from enemies to allies, as do I, but I'm not sure if that's in my best interest.

I told Richie a lot of stuff this round so far because I want him to trust me. We didn't have any layer of trust built up yet, so I needed to do that quick, and I think I have successfully done that.

Also, Jonathan tried to pull a big move and mentioned maybe actually targeting Richie like Kage suggested to him, but I shut that shit down real quick. I don't think it's a good move to save someone who we could work with in the future and is trustworthy as of yet compared to someone who is a complete mess and has thrown so many names out there to be targeted. So all-in-all, I'm not playing a huge game, but I do want to toot my own horn and say that I think I'm playing this game much better now. ^~^

so yeah voted in minority and lost duel but today brian tells me that people have been saying my name for this vote so i turned up my social game and have been talking to people all day and then now tommy just confronted me saying that ashley told tommy that i told ashley that tommy was voting for ashley last night... which is complete bullshit because i didnt tell ashley shit and i was the only person to not vote her out so why the fuck would i be throwing shit around and why would she be throwing me under the bus when i was the only person on her side??? but then tommy told me that ashley told him that alex told ashley that i told alex that tommy was voting ashley... which i DID tell alex that tommy was voting ashley so thats possibly true but of course i told tommy i didnt say shit lmao and then tommy was trying to be like "so alex is the one trying to stir shit?" and i know i need to save myself but i cant throw alex under the bus to save myself because hes the only person in this game that i trust even though his stupid ass dumb fucking mouth got me in trouble in the first place but if he leaves then i'm alone and fucked anyway and i just hate everyone.....

i've been on a bit of a campaign trail trying to talk about the fact that its heroes vs villains and the hosts are going to play up the theme and keep the tribes this way for a while without a swap so keep me around because im an asset in challenges i made the flag i particiapted in the scavenger hunt and i stepped up for the duel( even though i floppped) and that im alone in the game so use me as a number im out of the loop strategically so just keep me around.... idk whats going to happen

i hope and feel like im good with brian alex junior and jaiden + myself thats 5 people and majority is 6 so if i can figure out a way to defuse and deescalate the situation and maybe just make people like me enough they dont want to vote me out i'll be able to stick around but i dont have high hopes because this tribe is a fucking mess where one name gets thrown out then everyone jumps on it and waffles back and forth for hours on what to do until its the last second and they just decide to go with the most prominent name so they keep themselves safe this is the most usless group of people ive ever seen but wish me luck!

Okay, so because Queen Jonathan wants to vote out Alex, we're apparently voting Alex out? I don't really like this. I really don't. I don't have a strong relationship with Alex, but I also just don't see the necessity to make this tribe look messier and messier. It outs a big alliance, shows Kage and Richie they're on the bottom... like... why? And it also outs Linus as a solo man. I really just am scared. This move seems like too much too soon. I don't like it.

What I told Jaiden: >>Okay my issue with this big move against Alex is not anything to do with like Alex. I don't have a good relationship with him at all bc we don't really click, so I don't care if we send him out the door, but we're not only putting Richie, Kage, and Linus on the outs if this move works, it's outing a now obvious group. If we just vote Kage, it's a united front. Kage isn't going to help us and although Alex and Richie might flip in the future anyway, we're villains for a reason. And Jonathan pushing his agenda is not making me feel any better. I don't want to look back and be like, "Why did we let jonathan do whatever the fuck he wanted?"

havent done of these in a while. so anyways, here's where i'm at. i've got a seven person alliance, i hate kage and alex, linus is suspect af, and i could probably get screwed tonight because i'm being really strategical.

tonight is the night i do NOT want to go home at, so i'm making a master plan to avoid that happening. i cracked a plan to rid this game of alex s forever, but i am almost certain that alex KNOWS about this plan and is coming for me hardcore. i blame crow or junior, maybe sarah. who knows, truly.

anyways... i told brian to vote for kage with me and hopefully richie. i'll talk to richie and be like hi pls make sure you vote for K A G E. this way, if alex has an idol, the votes at best go 3-2-1 (kage/me probs/richie) and at worst tie 3-3 (kage/me probs) and everyone else draws rocks... lmao

idk why i'm making this all about me, but the universe doesn't revolve around jaiden hantz for nothing. if i go home this fucking early after playing this fucking good... yikes.

HOWEVER: here is where the big risk comes in.

brian and i both have voted for kage. this could take the vote to 5-5-1 depending on where kage votes... which means rocks. LOL. i'm a messy bitch, this is why i'm on the villains tribe. i don't really care if we go to rocks tbh as long as its not me, brian, or tommy... because like i dont necessarily like anyone on this tribe all that much. even if it is me, that's a fucking ICONIC way to go and it's all my fault LOOOOOL. premerge king, tru!

IF this somehow happens to be the last confessional i ever write, at least i looked good writing it. i'm in such a cute position -- got people wrapped around my finger to the point where they went against their hatred of kage to do my bidding and get rid of alex. i am extremely close to people i came into this game HATING (junior and sarah for example), people i didn't even know (jonathan and brian), and people I needed to work with again (tommy and crow). not only that, but kage probably likes me. linus complimented me for being in a good position. alex... can choke idc what his opinion of me is, no offense alex!! (ur a nice guy and a good player, but GOD u intimidate the shit out of me and you have every reason to hate me). richie is aight, just quiet idk.

also, if i go home, this season was the ultimate testament to the player that i am. i take risks, big fucking risks. i have balls, and even though it's premerge, i'm not afraid to flex those muscles and pull some shit out of my ass to make things #happen. it's been fun yall! no bitterness from me here. unless i actually get voted out by the majority of the tribe, i'll rly scream then lmfao

15 minutes until tribal and im going to vomit... i feel a lot more safe now than i did earlier today but its been rough im SUCH a control freak like i want to always be in charge and know whats going on and be the one calling the shots and i know im not in that position so ive taken the back seat and turned up my social game and let everyone else do the work to save me so i wasnt putting myself in the front of the plans where it could come back on me and if it doesnt work out then im never going to forgive myself for not doing more to save myself but if i'm still here then im going to make sure that things change i'm ready to slit some metaphorical throats

*chicken voice* DAMN. I played myself! I'm like, not surprised that I went out premerge...for the fourth time... but to go out by rocks? iconic. inspiring.

other than the obvious sadness that comes with going home, i can't say that i'm really all that upset. i clearly came here to win and i was playing the type of game that could easily get me to that point, but i don't take back any of the moves i made this season... not even that one vote flip that happened. i really thought that alex had an idol! he was being really cocky last minute so i KNEW something was up... it's just disappointing to know that i couldn't have gone all the way with this this season.

my tumblr survivor story is such a mixed bag. i've had many, many failures. today is included. i didn't even make it to single digits this game, one of the most simple goals i set out for me to achieve on this attempt. while we can look at my records, my terrible placements, and all of that garbage, there is absolutely nothing that compares to the gameplay that went into this season to make things happen for me.

for once, i can say that i was not voted out early. not one person put my name down on parchment tonight, not yesterday, and not last week. i have nothing bad to say about a single person i competed against on my tribe this season (except kage sometimes), and maybe they have nothing negative to say about me, either.

i played probably the best game i've ever played in tumblr survivor. i took control, but i still listened to everyone's concerns. i calmed my anxiety from causing me to lose control of the situation. not once did i personally attack a person this season (sad to admit that this is a record for me). but most of all... i'm walking out of here, eleven days later, a changed person. now i know that i have the ability to play well, the doors are wide open for me.

i leave japan with a considerable amount of lessons learned in such a short amount of time. i leave with the strongest friendships i've ever had, new and old. but most of all? i leave overwhelming proud of the change i set forth within myself. i came here a villain and i'd like to say i'm leaving a hero. nothing can take away from the experiences i've had in this milestone game... i am so happy i did this.
