0308..... i love their sibling dynamic so much. i feel like fuuta would be such a good big brother for her and at least try to help her understand. but also barring her attempts to "save" fuuta i feel that amane would also help him be more mindful :3

0110...... haruka is likely terrified of kotoko, esp after t1. imagine watching helplessly as someone ran around and attacked those who were restrained, some of which to the brink of death. imagine knowing that this person is only 3 years older than you. imagine knowing that one of the adults close in age to you is like this.

i also feel that kotoko would be the one to try and stop haruka's attempt, restrained or no. to me, if her philosophy is still "protect the weak," why would she let someone like him die, guilty or not? i feel like she would at least try to talk him out of it, even if she uses harsh words and doesn't get anywhere. is that just me?

Když se zamyslíme nad poslední výstavou v Galerii Rudolfinum, spolupořádanou Britskou radou a Photographers´Gallery v Londýně, napadne nás několik otázek hned k jejímu názvu. Ten zní: Reality Check, současná britská fotografie a video.

Můžeme ještě dnešní umělce používající média fotografie považovat za fotografy? Zdá se, že toto označení je stejně nepřesné, jako bychom chtěli srovnávat funkci grafika z Gutenbergových dob s jeho dnešním kolegou, který tvoří webové stránky na internetu.

Nikdy v historii výtvarného umění nebyl umělec konfrontován s takovým množstvím vizuálních informací. Jeho monopol na vyrábění obrazů skončil. Naše současnost je v pravém slova smyslu přeobrázkovaná i bez jeho přičinění. Zvykli jsme si číst realitu od obrázku k textu a ani nás už nenapadne, že několik století tomu bylo přesně naopak. Co to znamená pro současného vizuálního umělce? V prostředí společnosti, která de facto již všechno zobrazila, se musí umělec naučit nalézat nové zdroje imaginace. Velké příběhy mu pod rukama bere CNN a samotná kreativita je dnes vnímána jen jako dobře použitelná složka reklamního průmyslu. Umělec, prvně za dobu své existence, musí řešit otázku - Jak být viděn? Na této výstavě můžeme pozorovat několik strategií.

K R Buxey a Michelle Williams prezentují samy sebe. Videa na hraně pornografie jsou vždy možností jak se vděčně zarýt divákům do podvědomí. Opačný postup zvolila Shizuka Yokomizo, její fotografie lidí stojících za okny vznikly aniž by se kdy portrétování s autorkou setkali. Fotografka jim poslala dopis s přáním, aby si v určitý čas rozhrnuli roletu a několik minut tak bez hnutí zapózovali. Lesley Shearer jde ve svých požadavcích na modely ještě dále. Její cyklus Padající zachycuje portrétované po několika hodinách intensivního pití alkoholu před rozžhavenými reflektory.

Lidské utrpení je i v centru zájmu Phila Collinse. Jeho fotografie z Bělehradu se nám zdají na první pohled všední, dokud se z videa nedozvíme, že mladý sympatický pár jde právě z pohřbu svého kamaráda a pošťák doručoval poštu pod muškou odstřelovačů. Tyto drobné příhody nám najednou ukazují, jak je zavádějící hodnotit fotografie pouze esteticky. Estetika uměleckého vyjádření se zánikem ideologických měřítek pomalu ztrácí své upotřebení. Současní umělci raději budou hledat ve všudypřítomném vizuálním šumu deset rozdílů ( Keith Tyson), než by se obtěžovali hledáním nového estetického kodexu. Zdá se, že postmoderna je skutečně za námi. Přesvědčit se o tom můžete sami. V Rudolfinu až do začátku června.
