Today, Romano and Italy finished up their Easter holiday by attending the Pope's address at St Peter's Square then going out for a picnic.

Good start to the day. A bit of a stumble as came across a sickly sweet card from a flying monkey, loads of flowers on the front, trying to relate to me and ask me what I make of the situation with bio parents, trying to get some sort of response from me. I was shocked and started crying, then H took it away and threw it away for me as I asked him to. I cannot ever forget being a teenager on a weekend after spending hours and hours studying at night, waking up to that same auntie sat on the foot of my bed, M having sent her up to my room to talk to me in faux concern! She even brought my cousin who at least had the good grace to seem a bit awkward. I was woken up still in my pjs as she sat there trying to sound every bit the protective caring aunt as she put across just how lazy and disgusting I was for not being out of bed yet and implying something was wrong with me... honestly she can go fuck herself. Such an awful shock though that she's asked about my home address to send a pointed little card. How dare she. By not reacting at all I'm making it far more likely she doesn't bother doing it again. If she really wants to do something about my bio parents she's more than welcome to go fucking do it herself! I had a good rest of the day, went to the gym, bath, had a good hair day, salmon bagel for breakfast, hung with friends, and buttery chicken and Chorizo risotto for a late dinner. I'm now utterly stuffed and happy to be back in bed.

04.01.2024 // winter break

managed to squeeze in a study session tonight despite being incredibly tired. in deference to my exhaustion i only worked from one textbook tonight—the KLEAR textbook had a narrative next up and i knew i didn't have the mental energy necessary to read through that and try and answer questions. comparatively, conjugating for various formal level sentences was far easier.

classes start on monday, and for that reason, i'm very glad i was gifted a portable teapot over the break—there's nothing like winding down in the evening with a couple cups of tea (and tea makes me sleepy, so win-win). it felt very aesthetic to drink tea while studying, and that definitely helped with making it through the forty or so minutes of my session.
