Met and talked with Louis' manager at the Lolla . Had a mere 30 mins talk about Louis and smoked with him. A little teaser, he showed me a 28OP lighter and I'm like 🤯. He didnt disclosed that much info about Louis tho, he just says he a very very busy man, career-wise and family-wise (due to Phoebe). Fun fact, Louis actually smokes MORE than we think and it's very expensive 😬. I asked him if Louis does go to the gym or exercises and he said he or Rachel usually books sessions for Louis very late at night if they dont go to bars or to a party. That's Louis' go-to day-end plan either a bar or to a gym. We also talked about RR and I hate him so much for teasing but I don't think AOTV is the last time we'll see Louis in theathers 👀. Our convo ended when I asked him on why FITF didnt get that much more promo, he left and said "I gotta go, nice talking to you". This bitch, I swear....

Ein Fest nur mit Death Metal? Und das bei uns? Ein Traum wurde wahr und die erste Edition dieser kommenden Reihe war auch ein richtiger Renner. Locker 1.500 Leute suchten ihren Weg zum JunkYard. Etwas schade war jedoch direkt am Anfang, das die Tageskarte an der Abendkasse 70 Euro kosten sollte und für beide Tage 110 Euro. Im Vorverkauf hat man lediglich 79 Euro hingelegt für beide Tage. Das hat einige noch verschreckt, aber es war ja auch so schon voll genug und das Billing konnte sich durchaus sehen lassen. Glücklicherweise waren auch die Anfangszeiten human. So hatte man direkt am ersten Tag hervorragende Cancer, Defleshed, die etwas mit dem Sound kämpften, aber dafür toll aufgespießte Totenköpfe auf der Bühne hatten, I Am Morbid mit Dave Vincent und einem noch runter gerockteren Pete Sandoval an den Drums, als man ihn noch vor einigen Jahrzehnten kannte. Die hatten auch zum ersten Mal auf diesem Festival einen großartigen Sound. Kataklysm haben natürlich die Hütte gesprengt. Super Bühnenpräsenz und krasser Moshpit. In der Halle war es leider meist übervoll und die Musik, die oft auch Grindcore war, eher was für jüngere Leute. Am ersten Tag spielte das Wetter noch mit, aber es ging einem bereits organisatorisch auf den Sack, dass man mit seinem Leergut immer bis ans Ende des Geländes laufen musste, um sein Pfand wiederzubekommen, wenn man nicht ein Bier nach dem anderen köpfen wollte. Wenigstens konnte man bei dem Festival schön zwischendurch zu Hause schlafen als Dortmunder. Ein Luxus, der einem in der Jugend oft nicht vergönnt war. Ab Bodyfarm, die ganz ordentlich waren und direkt den neu anfangenden Tag für mich in höllenrot tauchten, war ich wieder einsatzfähig. Dann gab's Leif Jensen mit Phantom Corporation. Größtenteils Gekloppe, aber die Hütte war voll und man hat's genossen. Blood Red Throne haben trotz Feierei am Vorabend, wo ich mich noch zeitig verabschiedete, gut gerockt. Hier ging es dann mit dem Wolkenbruch los und es schüttete wie aus Eimern, aber es gab relativ viele Unterstellplätze und die meisten ließen sich den Spaß nicht verderben. Krisiun wie immer volles Brett und pure Aggression! Bloodbath mit Nick Holmes am Grölgesang zeigten zwar ihr schwedisches Können, aber der Gesang hat uns nicht so überzeugt, hat Nick doch extra den Footswitch für Effekte genutzt, die der Paradise Lost-Frontmann wohl nicht mehr so aus der Kehle drücken kann. Dafür wurde man am Ende mit einem leicht gealterten Glen Benton belohnt, der es noch immer verstand mit dem "Legion"-Set und einigen Klassikern wie "Once Upon The Cross" Stimmung zu machen. In der Halle gab's zum Schluss noch Gutalax, die sich sicher selbst auch nicht zu ernst nehmen, aber deren gutturales Gequake einfach nur an einen Frosch erinnert und mich auch nicht abgeholt hat. Dazu noch Pigging - ich bin einfach zu alt für sowas. Dennoch ein geiles Festival, das verdient im nächsten Jahr fortgeführt wird. Etwas witzig dabei noch oft die riesige LED-Anzeige, auf der immer 4:3-formatige Schriften voll auf 16:9 gestreckt werden. Kriegt man sicherlich auch professioneller hin.
