Messier 3, Messier 63 and NGC 4631, 4656 in the Constellation of Canes Venatici

Messier 3 globular cluster.

Messier 3 is a globular cluster of stars in the constellation of Canes Venatici. It is a large star cluster with 500,000 stars. It is said all stars are older than 10 billion.

146 globular clusters have been found in our galaxy and they are all distributed in an area called halo, outside the galaxy bulge and disc.

Messier 63 also known as Sunflower Galaxy, is a spiral galaxy in the constellation of Canes Venatici.

NGC 4631 and NGC4656 are neibouring galaxies, their actual distance between each other is 200,000 light-years.

NGC4631 is called "Whale Galaxy" or "Herring Galaxy" because of it's characteristic form. NGC4656 is conected with NGC4631 by hydrogen gas under the influence of gravity and it's northern part is distorted.
