Make it stopppp already I lasted until 11am before I had to go and swap the cardigan for a proper bulky hoodie. Still got a northerly wind, a steady 16mph today, and it is miserable. Northern Ireland or not, this is not June weather and if I'm expected to survive a north coast winter here I'm gonna need more than two days of nice sun actually please ok

It’s Day 72 of the Windy Wessagusset Wimple of 2024. The wind was out of the northwest at the 16mph with gusts to 24mph at 1pm. The temperature was 52° and it felt like 47°. I used the Pumpkin color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to indicate the wind was out of the northwest. I worked my stitches in stockinette stitch because the wind was at 16mph. It was a sunny day in Wessagusset, but it was very breezy. The wind made it feel chilly all day. This evening we went out to try to see Starlink, but there was still too much light in the sky and we were not successful. Bummer. There were a lot of stars, and one very bright planet, however. Be safe out there.

Car chase. Two guys in cars careening down the city streets at breakneck speed, making pinpoint turns and power drifting or whatever. A road sign comes up: "SPEED BUMP AHEAD 15MPH". The first guy gently slows his vehicle, and we see on the speedometer that he crosses the speed bump at a precise 15mph. The second guy also slows his car. But in his haste to catch up, he approaches the speed bump at a breezy 16mph. The moment his front tires make contact the whole car explodes.

I had 180+ foals born today. Here's a few of the highlights! I had a few foals that are cool because of stats rather than appearance.
First up, we have a zebra that has 'quagga' markings. In this cage, that's a combination of genes. I used to breed them regularly but I took a break and most of my zebras got too old to breed so I feared I lost the gene. This is my first quagga born since restarting! Very exciting!
Next is a Poitou Donkey. She was a big surprise because she's a different color than every other Poitou. Apparently it's rare for them to be this color, so I'm excited to see if I can get more.
Then we have a mule that has really cool markings!
And then a Zorse! The mother is a Przewalski Horse and the father is a zebra. I think it turned out very cute! I actually had two of these but they're identical so I only posted one.
Then we have a mixed breed horse that turned out BEAUTIFULLY. Her father is Ghost, my Friesian cross, and her mother is an Artistic Baroque (a madeup breed with funky conformation). She's so stunning and she has blue eyes! I love her!!!
Next is a Pintabian! An arabian with pinto markings! Also, you may notice it's very very small. I'm breeding miniature arabians and that's one of them!
The next one may not look like much, but she's a very very fast donkey. I'm breeding for donkeys to be fast enough to be worth riding. Most donkeys in Horse Isle don't go more than 15mph, but this little girl, when she's grown, will be able to go 16mph! That's the fastest I've gotten so far! Also weirdly, her mother is just a random wild-caught donkey with funky conformation. I almost didn't keep her. I'm glad I did because she gave me one of my best donkeys!
The last two are from my 'fast horse' line. I'm breeding a line of horses that go decently fast (19-20mph) and have neat colors. The purpose of this line is mainly to eventually cross with my fast zebras and fast donkeys to make high quality hybrids. Because of that, I mainly aim to breed colors that cross well with donkeys and zebras, namely dun. Here are the two most flashy foals I got from that line today.

Details about my car crash that happened on 12/17/2022 around 1:30pm in Uvalde, Tx.
The weather was cloudy but everything was visible, I was the only person in my car at the time and I was returning home after getting food. The music was very low, almost to the point where you could not hear it. I was fully stopped at the stop sign between the R&D Beverage barn and the old barber shop, I remember letting two vehicles pass by while edging forward to get a better view past the old barber shop. I saw them coming to me and they were not even passed the barber shop yet. I started to pull out and looked to my right to make see if I could merge into the lanes or the middle. I only barely made it to the left lane when I looked back at their vehicle and they were in the left lane, in the time I had looked away they had merged lanes and were getting close to me. They claimed they were trying to avoid me but it makes no sense because they went in front of me, I’m assuming they did not know I was making a left turn even though I had my blinker on, which made their vehicle hit my front left headlight. This caused them to do an almost 180-degree spin landing them on the side of the curb facing traffic, apparently, they told the police they did full spins even though I saw them curve around my vehicle and there were no skid marks on the road. The impact of our vehicle's hitting caused my vehicle to jerk forward causing me to end up exactly in the middle lane slightly askew, due to me making a left turn and then trying to go in front of me, and my airbags never went off, this was most likely due to me going under 16mph and wearing my seatbelt. They must have been going anywhere between 35-40mph due to the street being a highway.  My car was able to turn back on but the battery was dead and the transmission would not work. Their vehicle suffered heavy scratches to both their right-hand doors and they seemed to be slightly pushed in. After both vehicles were stopped I put my vehicle in park and took off my seatbelt before exiting, I called my grandfather because I had no idea who else to call and there was already a cop passing the Pico corner store, meaning nobody called the cops. I and the other people involved in the accident did not speak to one another at all, nor did we ever get near each other because we stayed near our vehicles the whole time. I was driving a Ford Ecosport which is 161″ L x 70″ W x 65″ H and the other vehicle was a Chevrolet Tahoe which is 211″ L x 81″ W x 76″ H, which makes sense as to why my vehicle took more damage although I was going a lot slower than them. They were able to drive away after the cops were done speaking to us while my vehicle had to be towed away.

Coltishall trip - Day 2
Saturday, 31st August 2024
Wind E 16mph                          A grey day with no sun                                Temp 20°C
Total distance travelled 5.55 miles
A lazy start. I hadn’t slept well and did not stir from my bunk until 0730 when I got up to make tea/coffee. Breakfast followed at 0830 and then, when all was squared away, we walked up to the house for coffee. Later slipped our mooring and motored to Coltishall where we moored for the night. After lunch took Tom’s dog, Pip, for a walk. Lazy afternoon. Dinner at The King’s Head - very mediocre.

It’s Day 267 of the Windy Wessagusset Wimple of 2024. The wind was out of the ENE at 12mph with gusts and 16mph at 12pm. The temperature was 61°, and felt like it was 54°. I used the Pretty ‘n Pink color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to show the wind was out of the ENE. I knit in stockinette stitch to show the wind was at 12mph. It was another overcast day in Wessagusset. It was also very chilly due to a stiff breeze off the water on the coast. I went out in my flannel shirt, but it was so cool that I found my jacket and have it ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow we have a tech coming to fix our washing machine. Hopefully, it will be okay, and get repaired. Be safe out there.

These are my two favourite wilds I've caught so far. The big guy is going to be named Drumstick Dumptruck and the little ugly mare is Thrift Store.
So far ive just kept ones with passable persona's that go at least 16mph.
Dumptruck is also gaited so hes absolutely mesmerizing to watch move in a horror movie kind of way

North of the bridge - Day 2
Monday, 26th August 2024
Wind SW 16mph            Sunny day with summer cloud                             Temp 23°C
Distance sailed 9.73 miles
A very peaceful night. Neither of us stirred before 0730. I made tea/coffee and we lay in our bunks drinking this until I finally made a move and got up at 0830. Breakfast at 0940 and we finally departed from this lovely mooring at 1030. By engine across the Mere to Horsey Dyke where we filled up our water tank.
Leaving Horsey Dyke we raised our reefed main. I had half a mind to shake out the reef and then we left the shelter of the dyke’s trees and I was reminded why we had tied it in yesterday. A very pleasant hour or so thrashing around an empty Mere. Occasionally other yachts would appear but they were all under engine and making hasty dashes across the Mere to get to the dyke. Not for the first time, I wondered why some folk simply didn’t buy a motor boat in the first place. After our fun we dropped sail and our heavy mud weight and sat in the sunshine enjoying a coffee. Coffee over we raised the muddy and motored to Meadow Dyke and with a headwind we had to motor down it.
Reaching Deep Go Dyke we came alongside for lunch. A nice surprise was meeting up again with Martin & Jill and their dogs. They used to moor just ahead of us when we were at Hunter’s Yard. We both have new boats since those days so we spent time exploring their boat Urchin and they came and admired Lily. It was good to see them again and to hear of other old mooring companions at Hunter’s.
Once lunch was over we cleared away, slipped our mooring, raised our sail and headed for Hickling. Hickling, like Horsey Mere, was lively. It was a very fine reach up the Broad until we bore away towards the pub. The pub moorings were empty and we did contemplate spending the night there, but then decided against that idea as the mooring was exposed to the full force of the wind. Instead we turned, expecting a fine reach and a run back. The wind had other ideas and the run became a very fine reach, almost ‘full and bye’. All good fun.
Reaching White Slea we found it empty so hastily dropped sail and came alongside for the night. A pleasant afternoon and evening to round off an excellent day. It is so empty above PH bridge. There was one boat (a fisherman) on Deep Dyke, us on White Slea and Deep Go was completely empty. We were wonderfully isolated.
