visitors to her humble little island community was rare. truffel didn’t appear on most maps, and for good reason. with a lack of a proper defense system, she wants to avoid all chances of being invaded.

so when she senses a new presence, she is quick to investigate. she peers down the hill that her home sits. a ship. one she certainly didn’t recognize. she’ll have to keep a close eye on them. for now. she just hopes they aren’t here to stir up trouble.

It was no surprise that Sabo was the helpful type especially from the stories that Luffy had told them, it seemed that the brothers were determined to help others. Whether it caused them to deal with a fight or anyone who might possibly need their help depending on the situation. It seemed that Sabo was stubborn as well which probably was the reason why he continued to help out among the ship that the Straw Hats called home.

At least his help wasn't making a complete mess out of things. Especially in Sanji's kitchen that often caused him to boot Luffy out quite often when he was trying to make food.

Typically Chopper tended to pay attention whenever any of them were in needed whether it be because of illness or injury. Sanji had no idea how Sabo was able to go this long without their doctor noticing, the man did seem off to him though. He didn't know how to approach him on the matter until everything caught up to him. Until Sabo collided with the deck of the Thousand Sunny.

Deciding to give Chopper a break, he filled that empty chair as everyone had been sharing the part of sitting inside that infirmary. "Do you have a favorite?" Pulling himself out of the chair, his gaze glanced back down at him "Almost two days, you've been in and out for most of it."

They'd found the blonde passed out and brought him aboard on instruction of their captain. They were in the med pay currently, having been waiting for him to wake up.

"As much as I love babysitting strangers with you, Corvus, I'll go. " Another man who was leaning against the wall at the foot of the bed spoke up, straightening up and yawning. The movement showing pointed, shark teeth before he left to fetch their captain.

"You see us and thats the first thing you say? You're not very polite are you? "

"What's this I hear about our guest being awake?" Martha hummed, smiling as she rejoined the little group. "How're you feeling?" She addressed Sanji directly, tucking a handtowel into her belt.

Faputa stares at the creature on two legs that wore a hat. She notes the antlers. And realizes this must be the creature that pirate was talking about.

"Naa! Are you the reindeer that person was talking about?!" She immediately breaks Chopper's personal bubble, coming close and smelling him.

The last thing that Sanji expected was for the truth that he wanted to hide for so long decided to make an appearance. It was Luffy who learned the truth first purely by accident because of the dead that they managed to escape from. A situation that he hadn't escaped completely unscathed from because of the teeth that managed to sink into his skin once more. It was better to happen to him instead of Luffy because of the immunity that he somehow had, he didn't know how he was though. It seemed that the blonde was lucky in that sense, were there others like him?

That was a question that he was unable to answer, he had yet to come across anyone else who was like him. Unless they were already dead because there were other threats that lingered around them, mostly from other humans who were just trying to survive. Unless they were the humans who only cared about themselves causing them to deal with the greed that was held over their heads. Greed that easily could cause anyone to suffer.

He told Luffy the truth though to reassure him that he was going to be okay, he revealed the old scar that had been hidden from view. A scar that could easily cause anyone to panic, but Sanji knew that he could trust Luffy. He was his friend, the first friend that he was able to gain since this whole mess started. A friend that he never expected to find among the fear and unknown that continued to surround them. The wound was healing though, a wound that would eventually scar like the other one that was already hidden from view.

Somehow though Luffy's brother, Sabo got involved once he learned the truth about what happened to him. A person that Sanji knew they could trust, the man wasn't going to tell the secret that he was determined to keep hidden. A secret that could easily cause panic among the survivors.

It was Sabo's presence that filled the room after he had woken up from a nap, he had been exhausted lately. They all had though. The words stopped him in his tracks though, who was Sabo talking about? What promise?

"Who did you promise? Luffy or someone else?"
