Marc and his team at Long Island Watch Co. have really knocked their latest GMT watch out of the park, with a grand slam hit! Not only is it a great value, it actually beats the Rolex GMT Explorer II in polar white in many ways, especially in bang for buck value.

Marc is offering these GMT 200meter dive rated watches in four colorways, a white dial with orange and silver accents as shown, a blue dial with yellow accents, a black dial with red and gold accents, and a gold dial with red and blue accents.

While the others feature ceramic or sapphire bezel inserts, it's the white dial with a stainless steel bezel insert that rivals the Rolex Polar Explorer II, replacing the Rolex's fixed 24 hour GMT bezel with a more versatile rotating 24 hour bezel.

The Islander GMT also features a more striking waffle dial on all models, and moves the date complication to a more balanced location at the 6 o'clock position! All four colorways come with an anti reflective coated double domed sapphire crystal, a screwdown caseback and screwdown crown with a red O-ring (if you see the red ring you know the crown is not properly screwed down) for a rated 200meter water resistance. A short practice video about possible angles and audio at Stanmer Park, recorded on a Nikon D5300 with a manual 35mm f1.6 lens

The first shot about walking on the hill is one that willl feature in the final oiece with two additional cast members, I tested out different angles but I settled on the one in the video. I may use a different lens to alter frame size if needed.

The final location of the piece will be further into the park about 200meters from where this was filmed. I debated using the location with the single tree from this video but decided against it because of disadvantages of the background and too many people walking into frame.
