it doesn't have to be epic, you know?
it could just be love and that would be enough for me.

hey there boo! eid mubarak!!
fun fact: in australia (where i am) Eid al-Fitr is both today (fri 21st) and tomorrow on the 22nd. according to sbs news, apparently this is ‘the first time in recent memory that Lakemba Mosque and ANIC, the country's largest representative bodies, have chosen different days to celebrate the festivities.’ due to moon visibility; which i found really interesting. has this happened before where you live? if you’re willing to share, that is. anyway! have a great celebration and some great food!
Thank you, anon! Eid Mubarak to you too, if you celebrate it, and anyone else who does.
Hmm, in the US, it happens sometimes, but most areas follow the decision of one council that uses calculation to figure out the start of lunar months. In Pakistan, it's been my experience that they're more strict about moon sightings, so it could happen that one place sees it but it was cloudy in a neighboring town so they don't see it and end up celebrating the day after.
