I hope everyone enjoyed their Turkey Day. I had a nice day. The kid came over. We feasted on roast pork, pilaf, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and sautéed zucchini with bacon. And, of course, pumpkin pie for dessert. She went home with half of everything :). Despite trying to cook to feed just the 2 of us, there was still a lot of food left over.
I was able to get a red cup this year despite a lot of SB’s employees being on strike. I happened to get my cup at a store that wasn’t unionized.
One of the wonderful things I love about Christmas is unpacking the decorations and taking joy in seeing the stuff I bought last year at an after Christmas sale! Btw, I bought the cutest throw pillows :)
My tree is up. Most presents are wrapped. My tree is overwhelmed. It’s being taken over by present invaders 👾 =:p
I rarely put bows on Christmas gifts because the gifts do not stay under my tree, but end up in transit to be opened elsewhere.
I’ll be spending Christmas at my brother’s, which I’m looking forward to.
Tomorrow is Cuzzy’s 60th surprise celebration! I’m looking forward to celebrating her special milestone.
In about an hour, I’m leaving to pick up my granddaughter so we can spend the weekend together ❤️
It’s going to be a busy weekend with a celebration and some shopping and prep for my annual Christmas party that is next Saturday.
