Hennessey Performance, the world-renowned Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle creator, announces high-performance supercharged upgrades for the all-new, seventh-generation 2024 Ford S650 Mustang Dark Horse. The comprehensive turn-key package dramatically boosts engine output and enhances the appearance of the latest iteration of America's iconic pony car.
Ford's completely redesigned 'S650' Mustang Dark Horse is fitted with Ford's naturally aspirated Gen-4 Coyote 5.0-liter V8. The automaker upgrades the Dark Horse with GT500 connecting rods and a dual throttle body to earn a factory rating of 500 horsepower. The 2024 Dark Horse may be ordered with either a Tremec 6-speed manual (3.73 gears) or with Ford’s 10-speed automatic (3.55 gearing). Regardless of transmission choice, the track-focused Mustang features upgraded multi-piston Brembo performance brakes on both axles.
Hennessey's experienced technicians, who have been 'making fast cars faster' for 32 years, fit the Mustang's V8 with a high-performance supercharger and a high-flow air induction system, upgraded fuel injectors, and a new fuel pump. Calibrated with an HPE Engine Management software upgrade, the ‘H850’ Dark Horse produces 850 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque – a 70 percent increase in power!
To complement its potent powerplant, the Hennessey 'H850' Ford Mustang Dark Horse is visually enhanced with a stylish carbon-fiber front splitter, carbon-fiber side skirts, and a carbon-fiber rear spoiler. Completing the exterior cosmetic enhancements are a set of stunning forged aluminum alloy wheels. Hennessey's embroidered head restraints are fitted to the seats, while Hennessey's badging and script adorn the quarter panels and rear fascia. Unique 'Heritage' graphics are optional.

Auto Industry Update for 2024
Tumblr media
My experience working for Lexus for seven years has made me intimately familiar with the brand. I’m working as a technician now but, after completing my BA, I hope to advance within the company. To keep pace with industry advancement I keep track of what other manufacturers are doing with their vehicles, including what new models are being released and what new technologies are being developed outside of Lexus. I do this by sampling other manufacturers' vehicles during used car reconditioning and by going to trade shows such as the North Texas Auto Expo. In this post, I will briefly discuss some new vehicles and tech that are important to the industry. The muscle car industry is going through significant changes for the 2024 model year. For the past decade, there have been 3 major players; Ford with the Mustang, Chevrolet with the Camaro, and Dodge with the Challenger. For 2024 the Camaro is being discontinued and the Challenger is going electric. I know full well that electric cars are the way of the future, but there is really something special about the traditional front engine, rear wheel drive All-American V8 powered muscle car that no electric car can replicate. That is the driving experience. All is not lost yet because while the Dodge and the Chevy muscle cars are to suffer the same fate as the dodo bird the Mustang is all new and redesigned for 2024. The new Mustang, known to Ford gurus as the S650 will retain the same engine and transmission options as the outgoing S550 model but will feature an entirely new exterior and interior design in addition to some new features and trim packages. One interesting feature is the electronic drift brake which will be optional on both four-cylinder and GT models. Another new model for 2024 is the all-new Toyota Landcruiser for the first time in over 40 years the Landcruiser will feature a 4-cylinder engine. Also new is the Land Cruiser hybrid system which is good for a combined 326 horsepower and 456-foot pounds of torque. That’s good for a torque increase of 55-foot pounds over the outgoing V8. The new Land Cruiser features a slew of off-road tech and a thirty-one-degree angle of approach. For those who are not familiar with off-road lingo, the approach angle refers to the design of the vehicle nose that will allow it to ascend steep slopes without scraping. As a lover of internal combustion engines, there is some sad news for the new vehicle market in 2024, but still a lot of exciting new vehicles coming soon.

The best-selling Ford F-150 pickup is getting updated for the 2024 model year. Although Ford hasn't revealed it officially, spy photos give us an early look at the changes coming. While not radically different, updates like new styling and tech should keep the truck feeling fresh against upgraded rivals. Below we detail what to expect from the refreshed 2024 F-150 ahead of its debut, including: Exterior and interior changes Powertrain updates New tech and features Trim level adjustments Pricing expectations Performance capabilities Ford CEO Jim Farley also provided hints about the company's electrification strategy and continuing to offer what pickup buyers want most. Keep reading for the key details. Exterior Updates Provide a Minor Facelift Although still in disguise, early spy shots gave a preview of the 2024 F-150's revised exterior styling. The latest undisguised photos confirm these changes focusing on the front and rear. Up front we see a new grille design unique to the F-150. The headlights are reworked with a new LED pattern mimicking the current model's C-clamp shape. Below, the front bumper receives new sculpting along the fog light housings. Out back, expect updated LED taillights with a fresh shape. The tailgate also appears to get new styling. We can also see a dual exhaust for the first time. Overall, it's an extremely mild exterior freshening rather than a dramatic redesign. Just enough updates to give it a modernized look. Interior Upgrades Expected to Refresh the Cabin So far we haven't seen the new interior. But we expect Ford will provide some enhancements to modernize the cabin as well. Possible interior changes include: Redesigned dashboard New upholstery colors and trim Upgraded seat designs Added sound deadening Revised door panels New steering wheel Larger touchscreens Again, dramatic changes are unlikely. But Ford should look to integrate some of the tech and design we've seen on vehicles like the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning to boost comfort, quality and connectivity. Powertrain Options Carry Over with Hybrid Focus Powertrain updates for the 2024 F-150 are still unconfirmed. But comments from Ford CEO Jim Farley indicate the focus will remain on refining the truck's hybrid options rather than major electrification. The current engine lineup includes: 3.3L V6 with 290 hp 2.7L EcoBoost V6 with 325 hp 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with 400 hp 5.0L V8 with 400 hp 3.0L PowerStroke diesel V6 with 250 hp Hybrid powertrains: 3.5L PowerBoost with 430 hp 3.0L PowerStroke with 430 hp Farley stated Ford sees strong ongoing demand for their gas and hybrid trucks, rather than quick full electrification. So expect largely the same engine options to carry over into 2024. Refinement is likely, but no major powertrain changes. New Tech and Features Expected While powertrains will largely carry over, new technology and features are likely in the 2024 F-150 refresh. Possible upgrades include: Larger touchscreens - New 12-15 inch displays with Sync 4 ADAS upgrades - Expanded driver assistance features Charging options - Faster onboard charging for hybrids Audio systems - Upgraded B&O Unleashed system with more speakers Lighting enhancements - Brighter LED headlights and ambient lighting These kinds of tech boosts will help keep the F-150 competitive against rivals adding similar new-gen systems. Additional convenience and connectivity features will aid daily use. Existing Trim Levels Should Continue Ford offers the F-150 in a wide range of trim levels from the base XL to the luxurious Limited. For 2024, the overall trim walk should stay consistent but new combos of features and appearance packages are likely. Special models like Raptor and Tremor will continue offering max performance. 2024 F-150 Pricing Expectations With new tech and features coming, Ford will likely bump up pri
cing moderately for 2024. However, they'll want to keep it affordable against key rivals. Here are projected starting prices for each trim: XL - $31,000 XLT - $38,000 Lariat - $45,000 King Ranch - $58,000 Platinum - $63,000 Limited - $80,000 Overall, expect a modest price increase of a few thousand over current models. Value retention remains vital for Ford in this hyper-competitive segment. Performance Should Remain Consistent Without powertrain changes, performance and capability will likely remain very similar. The F-150 already leads key benchmarks: Max towing - 14,000 pounds Max payload - 3,325 pounds HP/torque - Up to 430 hp / 570 lb-ft hybrid Gas mileage - 24 mpg combined with PowerBoost As before, configuring each truck for max towing, payload, efficiency or off-road ability will be possible via cab, bed, engine and equipment options. The capable chassis and body carry over unchanged. Key Takeaways on the 2024 F-150 In summary, the key points on Ford's refreshed full-size pickup: Subtle style changes visible in spy photos Cabin likely receives a tech boost Hybrid powertrains remain priority Driver assistance and tech features updated Overall performance remains consistent Modest price increases expected The updates aim to maintain the F-150's appeal and segment leadership against revamped rivals. Loyal owners will appreciate the careful balance of enhancing while retaining what they love about this profit-driving pickup. The 2024 model looks to continue as America's best-selling vehicle. 5 Reasons the 2024 F-150 Will Stay Dominant The updated F-150 will strive to maintain dominance as America's top-selling pickup. Here are 5 key reasons it will stay successful: 1. Familiar, Proven Design The minor styling changes retain its iconic looks that customers love. A radical redesign risks alienating loyal buyers. 2. Balance of Performance and Efficiency Potent V8 engines remain alongside economical hybrid options. There's an ideal F-150 for any lifestyle or work. 3. Innovative Technology New driver assistance and infotainment keep it leading pickup tech. Rivals still play catch-up in these areas. 4. Massive Dealer and Owner Base The huge existing owner base and dealer network means high loyalty. Competitors fight for leftovers. 5. Diverse Model Range Having an F-150 tailored for towing, off-roading, luxury and other specialties ensures wide appeal. The 2024 F-150 will cover any half-ton need thanks to brand power, diverse models, and adding fresh tech without alienating loyalists. How the 2024 F-150 Compares to Key Rivals The refreshed F-150 aims to stay ahead of chief segment rivals. How does it stack up? Chevrolet Silverado 1500 More dramatic 2023 exterior redesign Powertrains very similar Less advanced driver assistance tech Lower luxury features on top trims Ram 1500 Distinct "big rig" styling still attractive Class-leading ride comfort Top Uconnect 5 infotainment Not as strong with hybrid options Toyota Tundra All-new 2022 redesign New twin-turbo V6 and hybrid powertrains Most truck-focused design Lower sales and resale value The 2024 F-150 strikes an ideal balance of capability, luxury, and efficiency to stay atop the truck segment. It remains the benchmark competitors aim to match. What Truck Buyers Are Saying About the 2024 F-150 On forums and social media, prospective buyers already have strong reactions to the 2024 F-150: "That 3.5L PowerBoost hybrid seems like the best option - don't think I'm ready to go electric yet." - Mike P. "The base XL with Raptor appearance package would be a great affordable option." - Alex T. "I was hoping the Raptor would get a bigger power bump. Maybe I'll wait for the Raptor R V8." - James F. "Love the look of the new Limited and Platinum. Hard to decide whic
h luxury model to get!" - Caleb S. "Hope they integrate the digital dash cleanly on higher trims. Looks awesome." - Jeff R. A mix of excitement and tempered expectations. But current owners seem eager about 2024 upgrades while retaining the core F-150 strengths. Why Ford F-150 Engineering Stays Industry-Leading While the 2024 F-150 looks evolutionary, under the skin Ford continues pushing truck engineering forward: High-Strength Steel Frame The fully-boxed frame uses advanced steel alloys that resist bending and twisting for max durability and structural rigidity. Military-Grade Aluminum Body Panels Aluminum body panels resist dents while saving weight over steel. Special coatings fight corrosion. Independent Front Suspension The front independent suspension soaks up bumps smoothly while allowing tuning for responsiveness and capability. Advanced 4WD Systems Smart transfer cases and available electronic locking differentials optimize traction. Power distributes effectively according to conditions. Turbocharged EcoBoost Power Ford's twin-turbo V6 design optimizes power and efficiency. The EcoBoost also enables hybrid models without compromise. Clever engineering solutions continue making the F-150 one of the most technically impressive and capable trucks. Why the F-150 Interior is Great for Families and Work Whether using it as a family hauler or mobile office, the F-150 interior provides perfect flexibility: Abundant Rear Legroom The SuperCrew design offers cavernous rear legroom and space to carry kids, gear and pets in comfort. Clever Storage Solutions The central armrest console hides a file folder holder. Under-seat bins and door pockets provide ample accessory room. Available Built-In Generator The Pro Power Onboard generator can power work tools, lights, tailgate parties, medical devices and more. Fold-Out Interior Work Surface The Max Recline front seats include a fold-out table convenient for using a laptop on the go. Comfort-Focused Seating Available multi-contour massaging seats coddle occupants over long road trips while heated/cooled functions add convenience. Whether transporting a family or crew for work, the F-150 cabin offers space, clever features and comfort. How the Upcoming F-150 Raptor R Stacks Up The forthcoming range-topping F-150 Raptor R promises incredible performance: 700+ HP Supercharged V8 A supercharged 5.2L Predator V8 packs over 700 horsepower, a big jump over the twin-turbo V6 Raptor. Desert Racing Inspired Design Expect tweaked styling like new fender vents, grille, wheels and colors to visually set it apart. Upgraded Chassis and Suspension Parts To handle the power increase, the frame, control arms and other components see reinforcements and rigidity improvements. Improved Cooling and Brakes High-performance brakes plus added coolers will be crucial to withstand temperatures during high-speed off-road running. Retuned 4WD System A smarter AWD system efficiently transmits 700+ hp while protecting parts. New e-locker and axles plant power firmly. The Raptor R looks set to deliver incredible high-speed overlanding performance for tackling wide-open deserts and trails in uncompromising fashion. #Wiack #Car #CarInsurance #CarRental #CarPrice #AutoLoans

Ford reveals the 12 paint finishes the 2024 Mustang will soon be available in the United States The seventh generation Ford Mustang (buy Ford Mustang used cars now) will go on sale later this year. The automaker has been slowly revealing details about the redesigned Pony Car ahead of it hitting dealerships. Today we learn that the company will offer 11 standard colors for the 2024 Mustang. Ford will offer a 12th color, Ember Blue, exclusively for the Mustang Dark Horse. Ford has unveiled the new Mustang's color palette for the different trim levels and body styles, highlighting the EcoBoost convertible and GT coupe. The 11 colors are: The photos also reveal some of the other possible visual differences of the new car. The GT in Race Red has a black roof and a different front splitter than the GT in Rapid Red. The EcoBoost in Yellow Splash has accents on the hood and a stripe on the side. Ford accentuates the Dark Matter Coupe with three stripes that extend across the hood and roof. Ford also pointed out the different rim models that will be offered for the vehicle. The company unveiled the 2024 Mustang last September, showing off the exterior and interior design. Ford only revealed the car's performance in December: the Dark Horse's 5.0-liter V8 engine produces 507 hp. The standard GT produces 487 hp, with an optional exhaust upgrade that increases to 493 hp. The 2024 Mustang EcoBoost will produce 319 hp, a slight increase over the previous model, with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder providing the power. US pricing has us in Europe tearing our eyes: When the new Ford Mustang hits dealerships later this year, the base model will start at $32,515 (including the mandatory $1,595 transfer fee). That's the equivalent of just under 30,000 euros. The 2023 model started at under $30,000, so the new Mustang comes at a premium. However, Ford has thoroughly revised the design, equipment and interior. If you want the GT with a V8 engine, you have to shell out $43,090 (€39,320), with the six-speed manual transmission being standard equipment. The top-of-the-range Dark Horse starts at $59,565.

The Chevy Camaro Dies in 2024, Will Be Replaced by Electric Sedan Will the Camaro go the way of the original Dodge Charger?
Currently, the two-door, gas-fed Chevy Camaro is without a future. But it has a futuristic replacement, according to Automotive News. That replacement is an all-electric sedan. Commence double takes, spit takes, and hot takes. At least the four-door that's slated to succeed the Camaro is billed as a "performance" sedan. General Motors is of course in the midst of a huge transition toward electric vehicles. By 2035, the automaker hopes to go all-electric, no longer selling gas- and diesel-powered cars, trucks, or SUVs. Read between the lines, and GM isn't merely tearing up its internal combustion lineup and starting over, nor will it blindly adhere to its 2035 goal if the market hasn't shifted to support such a move—i.e., the all-electric gambit is a goal, not a promise, and if buyers aren't ready for only EVs, GM may still provide gas- and diesel-fed vehicles to meet demand. If you think that means there is a hope or a prayer the Camaro may live on yet in its current form or be redesigned for a seventh generation, we have some bad news. As our friends at Hot Rod reported recently, the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro lacks a replacement; GM is sunsetting the Alpha platform on which its pony car rides. While it could slide the Camaro atop the Alpha's replacement, the rear-drive-based A2XX architecture that underpins Cadillac's CT4 and CT5, GM has apparently made no plans to do so. Chevy will keep the two-door Camaro coupe and convertible around until 2024, and then unceremoniously kill the model off. The Camaro name might live on, however, which brings us to that "performance" electric sedan. Transitioning an iconic muscle car from a two-door to a four-door recalls Dodge's revival of the Charger nameplate—a moniker that long ago adorned two-door coupes but today denotes the brand's full-size four-door sedan. Of course, that sedan isn't electric—far from it, what with its multiple V-8 engine options—but even Dodge is making big electrification moves in the coming years, having already previewed an all-electric muscle car that looks like a retro-futuristic Challenger. Ford hasn't committed to electrifying the two-door Mustang yet, but it has introduced the Mustang Mach-E electric SUV that shares the pony car's iconic name. Expect the Camaro's electric sedan successor to utilize GM's Ultium battery tech, and don't worry too much about the performance aspect. Just look at the GMC Hummer EV pickup, which is available with 1,000 hp and is said to be Porsche-quick to 60 mph. (Forget, for the moment, how heavy the Hummer is going to be ... ) Consider also that with an electric Corvette on the way, Chevy will probably have its EV performance chops honed by the time the Camaro sedan rolls around.

Ford to launch three new model names by 2024 in Europe Ford’s rollout of its redesigned European business plan will result in a radical overhaul of its large car range, as the maker confirms three new model nameplates for the region in the next five years. The firm has stated in a release that it is “freshening and expanding its vehicle-line-up in Europe”, with the three new nameplates coming  “as it continues to grow its utility vehicle portfolio,” The new models, which are in addition to the new Kuga family SUV, Puma small crossover and not-for-UK Explorer, also include the “Mustang-inspired fully electric performance utility” model, as Ford dubs it.  Stuart Rowley, Ford of Europe president, told Autocar that the European focus is on an expansion of its “family utility lineup”, but wouldn’t confirm specific names or models that will be replaced.  “We are very focused in orienting our portfolio with where consumers are going. Many buyers are moving into the utility space, but for us the key question is where buyers are going next”. When asked if these new cars would indirectly replace slow-selling D-segment models such as the Mondeo, Galaxy and S-Max, Rowley said the three models “remain part of our product portfolio for now. However, we need to adapt to the changing market”.  Alongside this announcement, Ford has released a status report of its European business strategy changes, which will see three new ‘business groups’ - Commercial Vehicles, Passenger vehicles and Imports - established.
