character: blair open: m/f/nb plot: scream but with a satanist flair. blair is a small town bookstore employee from a family on the wrong side of the tracks, your muse has been dating him for nearly a year now, thinking he was the perfect boyfriend. little did they know he was ultimately planning to sacrifice them and their friends! this post was made using legacy editor.

blair leaned against the front door, his white t-shirt covered in blood. so far, everyone had assumed it was his own blood, due to the fact that he faked his own injuries previously, but the truth was much more sweet. he stared blankly at his lover, moving his hand out from behind his back and using the bloodied blade of his knife to push some sweaty strands of hair out of his face. it had all been leading to this moment! blair had killed so many of his former friends, the house party was supposed to be a normal rager that would happen any weekend in the summer, and now it was going to be the biggest tragedy in town history. it wasn’t just a random weekend, either. three in the morning on that very day, the stars would align in perfect position, and if blair completed his task of killing thirteen people before the sun came up… he couldn’t even describe what he was waiting for him, only knowing it would be the best thing to ever happen to him. if blair fulfilled his promise to the devil, he’d have everything he ever wanted. unfortunately the person he had been dating for almost a full year was part of that thirteen souls, and he had saved them for last. laughing suddenly, giddy and excited, blair shrugged his shoulders at the carnage around them. “i know… it sucks that it’s me, right?” he stepped a bit closer, “but it all has a purpose, i promise. it’ll all be worth it in the end.” for him, at least.

But then, whenever I hit 'send' I find one or two damn mistakes cause I don't give it a final read so... meh lol

Ni’ja Whitson is an interdisciplinary artist, performer, and writer based in Riverside, California. They are an Assistant Professor of Dance at the University of California Riverside. Whitson is Gender-nonconforming and uses the pronouns They/Them. Whitson focuses their work based on african Rituals, that aim to bring the Sacred onto the streets. They engage a nexus of postmodern and African Diasporic performance practices, through a critical intersection of gender, sexuality, race, and spirituality. 

What intrests me the most about their work though, was how captivating it was. we were only able to see a snippet of their work in class due to time restraints, but, the Majesty and sheer Magnitude of concentration in their performance had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The simple movements, the dance, the voices, the music The magic of their performances is undescribable. 

While not only being technically advanced, with well researched and meaningful performances, their art also teethers on the edge of being radical. Their work “234234234″,a site-specific performance that responded to the 234 missing school girls kidnapped in Chibok, Nigeria in a public endurance 234 minute performance highlighted the important aspect of the lack of facilities, and loss of the lives of these girls. Their social impact pieces, about relevant socal issues help to highlight inequalities but also, give a loud and clear voice to those who are voiceless and forgotten. All in all, I really enjoyed learning about Ni’ja’s work in class and am glad I got to know her as an artist.
