-almost at the time skip part, watching luffy, ace, and sabo's story was so adorable, funny, and sad.

-Hilarious that Luffy broke back into marineford just to deliver a message to the rest of his crew

-honestly the battle to save ace was heart wrenching, watching luffy struggle to cope with the loss of his brother made me cry so hard.

-this damned anime i stg, first i cried over a fucking boat and now ace is dead and i cried even though i knew it was gonna happen. the emotional punches hit so fucking hard, i have a love-hate relationship with this anime.

-gonna watch the movies up to 2D3Y before i continue on to the fishman island arc?/saga? tho

-bought a nami and gear 5 luffy figures it should be arriving tomorrow hopefully lol

-i am a luffy stan now, i mean i was before when i started watching the anime but somehow it increased??

ok I know it's canon/popular headcanon that Luffy doesn't scar easily cause rubber, but all those injuries have gotta leave SOME mark. Prolly has a buncha scars that u could only see if u were up super close

After Robin joined the crew and then Franky + Brook, since they hadn't been there in Alabasta + they didn't have the X tattoos, they prolly all got matching tattoos later on so that the new guys didn't feel left out or less wanted or anything. Also cause tattoos are so cool

I have mixed feelings about Nami's canon post timeskip outfits...on one hand, as an afab person, I would absolutely walk around constantly wearing only a bra if I could cause especially in the summer it is too hot for clothes- BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, c'mon, she's gotta have some other outfits too...n at the very least she prolly wears sports bras cause they're better for exercising n things + way more comfy

My brothers favorite "arc side character" (it's a very specific character type) is Bartolomeo. Like, easily. One of my first posts here about One Piece is just my text to him.

Me: So Barto is just a male version of Boa?

Bro: No. Boa is a female version of Bartolomeo.

[In this household we like'em mean, green, tall and willing to die in order to see Luffy achieve his dream of becoming King of the Pirates. It's a VERY specific character type.]

I could never thank Hancock enough for giving us this little meme. We've pretty much used it constantly since 2D3Y.

I knew then that I would make this gif to capture his moment of happiness for Bartolomeo. What I didn't know was the selfish dividends it would pay off in later. Usually we get a new eyecatch and it's like ten episodes of just Luffy before they bother animating the other characters. So I did not expect three episodes later to be greeted with:

[Only improvement I would make? Have a bunch of baby Zoros swordsmen in training in the background trying to practice fighting with a motherfucking katana clenched between their teeth like goddamn idi-- the soon to be greatest swordsman in the world.]

It lead to some admittedly embarrassing squee like sounds. And also an unexpected but of chanting.

Me: Please be Luffy or Zoro just not Barto or Sanji or anyone else please be Luffy maybe Robin please be luffy--

Zoro's training must have been very tough and thoroughly. 

Mihawk must have worked him like a horse to get him this focused.

I mean, 

This is pre time skip Roronoa:

Mihawk stopped this craziness. 

Implementing rules which needed to be followed OR ... 

So how did Roronoa Zoro do this? Training without sāke, without the habit of overusing his stamina and learning it through exhaust.

it been years since I watched something i was passionate about with my own father and having him actually somewhat enjoying two One Piece films that we watched together has a different feel to it. Also him getting annoyed at me for calling Kizaru Adam Sandler multiple times. The constant “ZED IS DEAD” between us and I’m very sure he likes Robin. Also needing to explain lore to him??? That felt really nice since I get to ramble off. We’re gonna do it again soon and I’m wondering if we should watch Stampede or one of the earlier films like Strong world or maybe one of the specials (maybe I can finally get around to 2D3Y and episode of Sabo) So- Um. Moral of the story is share something you're passionate about with people.
