Gundam Wing: Valentine's Day Scenarios (ideas for shortfics I'll never write)

*Follows the Japanese convention, ie girls give chocolate to people on Valentine's Day but guys generally do not.

Heero: Receives chocolates and a card from Relena, which he tears up in front of his horrified friends. Relena is pleased by the continuation of their private joke and looks forward to ripping up his card on White Day.

Duo: Claims that he forgot it was Valentine's Day when Hilde gives him chocolates. "Oh, was that today? Thanks I guess..." While trying to look cool and nonchalant he gives Hilde the impression that he is uninterested and/or unimpressed with her gift. Hilde doesn't speak to him for the rest of the day. He receives zero sympathy from his friends for the mess he created. Ends up buying Hilde flowers to try to make it up to her.

Quatre: Receives no less than 50 boxes of chocolates and other gifts from admirers. He distributes most of it among his female household staff so they don't have to buy chocolates for their significant others. This has been a yearly tradition since he first was old enough to have admirers, and thus the day has been dubbed "Boxing Day: Round Two." Finding he has more than usual this year, Quatre thinks nothing of re-gifting chocolates to each of his friends as well.

Trowa: Catherine gifts him a box of chocolates and funerary flowers, which come with a sympathy card (offering condolences on his dead love life). Upon seeing the re-gifted chocolates from Quatre, Catherine jokingly demands her gift back since Trowa's love life is clearly less dead than he let on. Trowa points out that Quatre gave chocolates to all of his friends, not just to Trowa. It doesn't mean anything. ...Even if Quatre did know which chocolates Trowa would like best and made sure to give him those.

Wufei: Receives chocolates from an unknown source and spends the day trying to track down his secret admirer while his friends watch. As Wufei expresses more and more longing to meet his mystery admirer, Duo guiltily admits to Quatre that he sent the chocolates as a prank and now doesn't have the heart to tell Wufei the truth. Wufei's passionate declaration that this is the first time he's known love in years finally makes Duo crack and give a groveling apology. It is only then that Wufei curtly explains that he knew the identity of his "admirer" from the start and displays the evidence: a single long brown hair that was accidentally included in the gift wrap.

Meeting Up (FTW Headcanon, 2xH)

Dedicated to the Big/chubby Duo and Hilde fanart AU I've seen a lot lately. This takes place years before that. The war in AC195 had ended.

On another note, this is a headcanon series, called, For the Win! I hate what Frozen Teardrop did to them, so...

The war between Earth and Space has concluded, thanks to Heero Yuy and the rest of the G-Team.

Duo spills the beans with Trowa and Quatre, where Quatre is recovering from his stab wound. “I think I like her. That risk she took a few days ago worried me. I literally thought death was gonna Rob her from me.”

Quatre and Trowa exchanged a knowing look. “How is she coming around?”

Duo plays with the end of his braid. “I should look for her. Get better, okay Quat?”

Quatre grins and Trowa winks. Duo tries his hardest not to laugh as he exits the room. Sputters of chuckles are heard six seconds later.

Duo discovers a bouquet of blue and pink flowers. They remind him of Hilde… Howard lights up a spliff when he catches the young Deathscythe pilot in his sights. “Someone left those for me, but I’ve had my chances in life smelling them. You can bring them to someone else.”

Duo’s eyes lit up. “Perfect!” Snagging the bouquet, he rushes to the other side of the medical ward. Howard smiles and gets high, thinking of a flower world.

Hilde is recuperating well. Bandaged across her torso and upper arm, a lovely scent tickles her nostrils. She opens her eyes and Duo graces her line of vision. “Flowers?”

Her cheeks flush pink as she tries to bite back a grin, but fails. Duo’s energy is contagious, and she knows it.

“So, how are you feeling?”

“Painkillers are a drag… I wish I could rip these off.”

“I know, but you gotta be patient. Besides, you were a trooper out there! Though I must admit, it’s scary as hell.”

“Scary? How so?”

Duo stared at his feet before looking up. “I almost lost you. Literally.”

Hilde smiled. “It’s okay, I’m still here.”

Duo shook his head. “You’re still here, but if things ended differently-”

“Don’t worry about it. That’s over now.”

“Everyone I love dies.”

Hilde’s smile falters. “Everyone?”

Duo set the flowers on a nearby table and pulled a chair over. “It’s true. I’ve lost Solo. Father Maxwell. Sister Helen. Almost lost Heero to death at one point. Heck, Quatre lost his mind and Trowa lost his memory. Before that, I almost lost Wufei in a cell… and of course, I almost died with him in the lamest way possible. Stupid OZ turning off the oxygen supply...”

Hilde's lips trembled, but the words wouldn't come out.

“Everyone who matters to me gets destroyed. It seems that's my fate, y'know? I hate the fact that I almost lost you. It's okay if you don't understand fully, but-”

“It's okay, I get it. We've all been through it.” Hilde reaches over with her good arm and squeezed his hand. “It's okay to mourn, Duo.”

Duo's fingers laced hers and his eyes watered. He bit back a chuckle.

“It's okay. Smell the flowers, Duo. We're still here, and that's what truly matters.”

Their eyes met. “Hilde, would it be awkward if-”

“You kissed my forehead?”

The pair shared a hearty laugh.

“Okay, okay. Save your ribs. I'll grab a bite. Want anything?”

“A kiss on the forehead would-”

Cutting her off, Duo leans in and locks lips with hers for fifteen seconds straight. Pulling away, he smiles at her.

Her eyes smile back.

“We can start over the proper way. Pleased to meet you, babe.”

Hilde blushes, looks away and fans herself. She regained her composure. “Likewise, silly! Now where's the food?”

“That's exactly what I wanted for a meal.”

Hilde gave him a funny look. “What?”

“Your sweet lips.” Expect an impish grin from him.

They have drawings of the OC's and other more stuff! This is my favorite next gen fanfic! They also have side stories and some funny BTS stories!
