Hello Mini Musez! My Peking Opera - Mei Lanfang Portrait is going on exhibition from Dec 9th until December 23rd at the Core Art Space in Denver. Juror Susan Froyd selected the pieces for this unique show which features art inspired by comics, anime, tattoos, graffiti, and the unusual. Any art gallery or show that exhibits fanart should be supported by us all. Fan artist still struggle to sell & get fanart mainstream so I am hoping you all can help. Especially since many of my amazing followers are incredible non traditional artists so you know first hand how difficult it is to get accepted. Hello Moi Mini-M’usez As I was setting my section up for the local craft show this weekend I swiftly realized I am seriously unprepared for craft shows! I thought you just set out a few items and done. But people had amazing & beautiful displays. Cases. Bookcases. Pillows, stands, and lots of fabric! Some very professional looking displays and then there’s me. My stuff just layin there. I have never done a craft show before but a local art association was having one & I decided to try it out. My goal was to introduce the Goddess Gals and hopefully sell enough items to purchase a new blade for my precious (my ring saw) but I think I will need to invest in some sort of display system as I want to take part in more craft shows next year. This 3D dragonfly was made entirely from recycled materials. The glass was left over pueces. The solder was recycled as well from left over beads and old solder bits that I melted down into stick form. NEW BREED ALERT At first glance you might think that is a Corgi but nooooo. That is the new Martyrorgi breed! It is 10% Corgi, 60% scaredy-cat, and 30% martyr! That is the look I get when I sit on the couch with the other dog - my poor corgi puppy looks so sad. Don’t worry he gets to sleep on the pilllws above my head while the other dog sleeps in a crate! My stained glass duo series “The Lovers - Lord Sun & Lady Moon” will be on display at the Louisville Art Association Spring Show this weekend. Tell me what you think: Do you like them? Should I make more in this series? Any suggestions? About the duo: Lord Sun has layered glass, hand painted designs and a resin UV protectant coating. I attached the glass layers using a metal support system that is hidden beneath the solder. I originally created him to hang outside on my patio in the high wind and direct Sun but Lady Moon is an inside only piece and it seemed wrong to split them up. Lady Moon has glow in the dark features, hand painted designs, and crystals throughout. Her clouds are fluffy and have an iridescent sparkle. Me & Shay took our co-worker Hank-the-Tank out for a lunch walk and he got tired towards the end. He decided he was done walking so Shay had to carry him and this is the look on his face. Now I’m not an expert at reading face expressions but even I can see that he is very proud of himself and knew exactly what he was doing.
