at-home olympics
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: you and your girlfriend are watching the 2024 olympics except you’re cheering for different countries. you get a little distracted during the swimming finals though…
warnings: fluff and smut! sana's a little tease so lots of teasing, 1x edging, fingering, swearing
w/c: 3.0k
a/n: ok ik the races take place over several days but for ✨plot✨ lets pretend they dont and that history hasnt happened and i dont chronologically put these races in order bcs i couldnt be bothered doing that much research LOL aaanyway this one was inspired by miinatozakiii bcs we cuddled and play fought over which of our teams was better (i won)
〰⋆。˚
“sana! it’s starting!”
“one second!”
“babe hurry! you’ll miss australia thrashing everyone else!”
you can hear her scoff from the kitchen, her voice nearing you as she rounds the corner to the living room where you have the olympics stream set up on the tv. “no way sweetie. if any one’s getting an ego check this year it’s absolutely gonna be you guys.”
you grin at the sight of her balancing a bowl of popcorn and a tray of sweets and goods to snack on while you watch the finals.
“what took you so long?” you tease, staying put on the couch and not bothering to get up and help her set everything onto the table.
she rolls her eyes, plopping down next to you, “i was peeling all the mandarins because someone is a big baby and won’t eat her fruit if it means getting her hands dirty.”
“you like my hands.”
“shut up.”
you laugh, wrapping your arms around her and pulling her into you adoringly, kissing her cheek. “thanks babe i love you.”
she turns to peck you properly on the lips with a smile, “love you too my big baby.”
you’re about to pout and kiss her again but you’re distracted by the cheers on the screen. the announcers start to read out the names of the finalists. you squeeze your arms around her waist in excitement, “it’s starting it’s starting!”
sana pokes a piece of fruit and holds it up to your mouth. you open without looking, eyes fixed on the screen as the swimmers start walking out for the women’s 400m freestyle.
when the australian, ariarne titmus, is named, you cheer, almost knocking the bowl of popcorn out of your hand in excitement.
“she’s the one! she’s the best bet to win this race! she won the 400 and the 200 metre freestyle last time in tokyo! she holds the world record for both of them!!”
sana hums, smiling at your enthusiasm. “you never know sweetie. the american and the canadian… mcintosh? she’s new but you saw her in the heats, she was fasttttt.”
“no way she’ll beat arnie though. this is australia’s win for sure.”
the swimmers get ready on their diving blocks, and then the buzzer sounds and they’re off.
you’re on the edge of your seat, taking in each stroke and breath, sana right there next to you.
“look look! she’s falling behind! i told you the canadians might grab this one!”
“no no that’s normal for her she always starts off slower but because 400 metres is one of the longer races she’ll really shine after the second or third lap just wait and see.”
you can feel the tension wound up tight all over your body as you watch the race, yelling encouragement, eyes locked on the swimmers as arnie starts to speed up on her final lap, passing the other competitors and hitting the end of the pool first. you jump up, whooping, punching your fist in the air as if you were the one who had just won the race.
sana laughs at your antics, rolling her eyes when you turn back to her, "i told you! i told you we'd win! the aussies are gonna crush everyone this olympics!"
"it's only the first day sweetie you know you'll fall behind once the swimming events are over."
you plop back down, "not this year. our roster is too good."
"we'll see about that."
sana was originally all smiles and giggles, watching you fondly during the next few races while you cheer when australia qualifies off various heats, and slump down next to her, miserably pecking off the snack plates when they don't. but as time goes on and australia just keeps winning, she gets a little pouty, either at the little patriotic spirit that ignites in everyone during the olympics, or the fact that you've been paying these athletes more attention than her for the past few hours.
either way, she plans to get your attention back and she has a wonderfully terrible idea on how to do exactly that.
the opportunity comes during the lull of the men's events. you're droning on about how "the aussie men aren't all that compared to the women. the aussie women are the ones to watch. who cares about the men when we've got arnie, mollie o'callaghan, kaylee mckeown, emma mckeon, especially since the french have leon marchand and he's like crazy fast and- b-baby w-what- what are you doing?"
you don't notice the way sana's hand has crept up your thigh while you were talking, too focused on the tv screen and the races.
"nothing."
you look to the side where sana's watching you with a smirk and a gaze that screams bad news.
"uh huh-" you try and wriggle away from her, shuffling backwards into the corner of the couch, shaking her hand off. her hand is stuck to you though, the movement finds her fingers only closer to your core that was beginning to slowly burn up at the feeling of her trailing her fingers up and down your inner thigh like that.
"b-baby i want to watch the olympics."
"i'm not stopping you."
"but- no i meant-"
"mm? watch the olympics."
you sigh in frustration, tearing your gaze away from her to fix your gaze back on the screen.
sana giggles lightly, letting you have a break, just resting her hand on your thigh innocently.
eventually, you forget her hand's there, too invested in the races going on screen.
"c'mon aussies! oh my god these germans elijah has to speed up oh shit- c'mon c'mon c'mon-"
the race ends with elijah winnington winning silver in the 400m men's freestyle.
"he was so close! baby did you see he was so close oh my god!"
sana rolls her eyes, more interested in your reactions than the actual games. it's when the buzzer sounds for the beginning of the 400m men's freestyle relay final that she begins to move her hand again.
your eyes immediately flick back down to your legs at the feeling, hand coming up to cover sana's but this time she gives you a lot more to work with than just her hand. she leans in, starting to pepper your neck with light kisses.
"s-sana..."
"hmm?"
"t-the finals baby..."
"you can keep watching them. or you can try anyway." you can feel her sly grin against your neck, your body betraying you as you stretch out your neck unconsciously, giving her more room to work. she latches onto the newly available skin easily, sucking and licking, her other hand drifting under your shirt and fingers running up your stomach.
"w-what brought this on?"
she shrugs, lips never leaving your skin, "do i need a reason to want to taste you?"
you whimper as she reaches your ears, knowing they're sensitive she giggles, letting the soft breath of her laugh hit the edge of your ear, kissing sweetly. your hands are clenched into fists at your side, eyes still locked on the tv screen but none of the information hitting your retina was being processed by your brain. you're straining to hear, see, feel more of sana, but she's torturously taking her sweet time, touching where she wants, kissing where she feels, even when you spread your legs open wider for her, her hand on your thigh doesn't move, only squeezes gently in thanks but refuses to make any further progress up your thigh.
"sana..." you start to whine, pushing your hips up, squirming under her touch.
"what is it sweetie?"
"need you..."
"need me to...?"
"touch me."
"i am touching you." she giggles, pinching softly at your waist, hand gliding up to cup your bare chest gently.
"more."
"more what?"
"ugh sana just-" you wriggle around under her, huffing, her nails scratching gently against your inner thigh and the bottom of your tit.
"hmm?"
"you fucking tease sana c'mon just- ah!" sana's fingers come up to tug roughly at a hard nipple, hand at your shorts sliding up to rub at your clit harshly through your drenched panties.
"watch your tongue sweetie. that's not how you talk to me is it?"
you mewl, "n-no. i'm s-sorry."
"that's better. now tell me what you want again. this time with manners."
"can you touch me please?"
"touch you where? here?" she tugs at your nipple again, your hips buck up into her, the finger at your clit pressing down at the movement.
"y-yes! everywhere! n-need you e-everywhere."
"oh everywhere? you are greedy. take off your clothes for me then baby."
she sits back, her hands no longer touching you while you hurriedly rip your top off, your shorts and panties following not long after. you lean back, spreading your legs as lidded eyes find her again. she's watching you amusedly, eyes flicking between the tv screen and your dripping cunt.
she jerks her head to the side, indicating at the tv, "australia just won silver in that race baby. did you see?"
you groan, hands coming up to grope at your own chest, the other trailing down your stomach and to your core, "don't sana- please- i don't care right now just need you-"
"now you don't care huh?" she grins self-satisfied, crawling towards you and slapping your hand away playfully, "so needy."
"only for you p-please sana-"
she hums, smiling as she kisses her way up your body, tracing the marks she's already made over your neck and collarbone, finally reaching your lips with a cheeky grin.
she looks down at you with a mirthful glint in her eyes, her lips just centimetres away from yours, "ask me."
you groan, "what?"
"ask me to kiss you."
"oh for fuck's sake-"
a hand pinches at your side and you yelp in pain.
"what did i say about language?"
you whimper easily, submitting to her without a second thought, "i'm sorry. please kiss me?"
a smile, "much better."
she connects your lips at last, giggling a little at your desperation. you moan as soon as your lips meet, hungrily sucking her lip into your mouth, eyebrows furrowed in concentration and slight annoyance at how long she's been teasing you for.
her tongue swipes along your bottom lip and you eagerly open, panting into her mouth as she licks into you, tasting of the snacks you just had and something uniquely hers that made your head spin and your pussy clench.
you're obviously terrible at multitasking and sana takes advantage of that while she's got you completely focused on how good her body feels against yours and how her tongue is searching every inch of your mouth, her hands sliding down your chest to grope at your tits properly now, squeezing and relishing the moan you let out, the slow grinding that your hips start up even without you knowing.
she gives you a much needed oxygen break, moving down your neck again but making her way straight down to your chest, her hands and mouth working in tandem to drive you positively insane, massaging your sensitive flesh and licking and sucking until you were whining and panting once again.
when she takes a nipple into her mouth, your chest arches up into her, hand finding purchase in her hair, tugging her impossibly closer. she mumbles something around your nipple, and although you don't catch what she says, the small rumble and vibration sends shivers up your spine and straight down to your core, your thighs aching to rub together to find any kind of friction on your absolutely drenched cunt.
she licks across to your other nipple that she's been twisting and pinching with those long fingers of hers, taking it into her mouth as well, the hot warmth around your nipple and her hand that comes up to squeeze at the tit she's just left, causing another gush of slick to leak between your thighs.
you don't dare look down at her, nails digging into her scalp, hips pushing up against her, moans drowning out the commentary of the swimming finals still playing on the tv.
her hands inch downwards while her mouth is still attached to your chest. she doesn't tease this time, dipping straight into your heat and running her finger along your opening.
"m- please- sana there-"
she wets her fingers easily, running them up and down your cunt a few times, making sure to rub a little circle at your clit each time she does a lap, her fingers swimming around in your pussy like the swimmers on screen.
"i-inside sana pl-ease- i'm ready-"
she hums, inserting one finger gently, pumping slowly with just her first knuckle before sliding in more, curling her finger once she reaches that part of you where she can rub at the little patch of your frontal wall that has you bucking up into her and gasping.
"r-ight there- fuck- sana- god you're- so good-"
she starts up a slow rhythm, lips still attached to your breast, sucking hickies and new marks into your skin, right next to fading marks that no one else but her could've left.
she's building you up at her own leisure, pushing another finger in once she thinks you're wet enough (you've been wet enough). your hands move down from her hair onto her shoulders, gripping tightly at the feeling.
"f-faster sana i c-can- i can take it-"
she listens so well, speeding up immediately, pushing in and out of you at a pace that leaves you breathless. you throw your head back on the arm of the couch, feeling the knot in your stomach tighten with each entrance and exit, the orgasm she's building you up to so close with each thrust.
you're so focused on cumming you don't notice the way sana's ears perk up, her lips leaving your nipple with a plop as she turns her head to the side curiously.
and then all of a sudden, just as you're about to climax, sana rips away from you, jumping up from the couch and squealing in glee.
"matsushita!! he did it! y/n look he did it! france came first but that's okay because marchand was always going to win right?! but matsushita beat america!"
you're sweating on the couch, breathing heavily as you hazily look towards sana, confused at what just happened and how you didn't just have a mind-blowing orgasm 2 seconds ago. you can feel the fluttering of your stomach, the slick on your thighs still very apparent, as if you did orgasm but you just couldn't remember it.
"w-what?"
sana turns to you with a bright smile, kissing your lips sweetly, "look! japan won silver! in swimming!"
you blink dumbly at the screen, sure enough, at second place in the men's 400m individual medley is matsushita tomoyuki representing japan. you're trying to piece together the connection between this new piece of information and why you had your orgasm so violently torn away from you.
and then you realise there was no connection.
"sana!! are you serious?!"
she turns back to look at you with a confused pout on her face, why was she being yelled at? she tilts her head like a lost puppy, completely disregarding your state of undress, a total personality flip from when she was whispering and touching you in the dirtiest ways, distracting you from the olympics only to get distracted herself and stop milliseconds before she helped you reach your high.
"what?"
"i- you- we just- i was-" you gape blankly at her, flushing bright red, hands waving around dumbly while trying to come up with the words to describe this absurd situation.
you end up throwing your hands over your face in frustration, groaning and bringing your knees up to your chest, hunching over and pulling the couch blanket over your naked body.
sana giggles, plopping back down on the couch and squeezing into you. "whaaaaaaaat-" she pokes your side, trying to get you to look at her, but you're persistent, pouting and throwing the blanket over your head, shuffling around until your wrapped around in it and your head pokes back out to watch the screen as they transition over to the women's swimming again.
sana sidles even closer, trying to get under your blanket as well, "what's wrong?"
you huff, not looking at her.
"baaaabyyyyy-" she pouts.
"i was so close." you mumble.
sana grins, "what was that?"
you whine, tips of your ears still red, "i was so close sana! why did you have to- were you watching the whole time?!"
she laughs then, bright and innocent, "noooo i just suddenly heard japanese cheering coming from the tv so i looked up to see what was going on and then matsushita hit the end of the lap!"
"so you won't let me watch the olympics but you'll deny me an orgasm when you want to watch?!"
"i always said you could keep watching! too bad you just can't pay attention to two things at once." she smirks, finally able to sneak in under your arm and come in next to you under the blanket, not minding at all that you were stark naked and she was still completely dressed.
"urgh you're so-" you huff, mumbling to yourself incoherently while making sure the blanket was fully covering her as well.
"what? i'm so what?" she's staring at you with wide eyes, a knowing smile on her lips.
"i'm not talking to you. watch the olympics."
she laughs, a full body-shaking laugh, tackling you back down into the couch with the force of it, her arms going to wrap around your waist immediately as she makes herself comfortable nuzzling herself under your neck and onto your chest.
you roll your eyes, covering the both of you as you turn your attention back to the screen. once the games were over and you only had to pay attention to your cheeky girlfriend, you'd make sure she knew exactly how you felt with all your attention focused on repaying her for her antics.

Tumblr media
The Olympic Village was a microcosm of the world’s most intense emotions—a mix of fierce competition and deep camaraderie. For Léon Marchand and Camille Durand, it was a place where dreams could either flourish or be shattered. But the couple, who had been together for three years, were determined to make these Olympics their greatest triumph.
Léon, the golden boy of French swimming, was aiming for four gold medals. Camille, a rising star in equestrian, had her sights set on three. They were each other’s biggest supporters, and their love had only grown stronger under the pressure of competition. Now, in the heart of the Olympic Games, their bond would be tested and celebrated as they chased their dreams together.
---
**Day 1: 400m Individual Medley - Léon’s First Event**
The aquatic center buzzed with energy as spectators filled the stands, the air thick with anticipation. Camille found a spot close to the pool, her heart racing as she watched Léon prepare for the 400m individual medley, one of his strongest events.
She could see the focused determination in his eyes, the way his muscles tensed and relaxed as he shook out his limbs, preparing his body for the grueling race ahead. Camille’s fingers gripped the railing in front of her, her knuckles turning white as she whispered a silent prayer for him.
The buzzer sounded, and Léon exploded off the starting block, diving into the water with a grace that took Camille’s breath away. The race was intense from the start, each swimmer pushing themselves to the limit. Léon was in second place after the butterfly, but Camille wasn’t worried—she knew he was holding back, saving his energy for the latter half of the race.
As the swimmers transitioned into the breaststroke, Léon began to pull ahead, his powerful strokes propelling him through the water with unmatched speed. Camille’s heart pounded in her chest as she watched him close the gap and then surge into the lead during the freestyle. The crowd’s roar was deafening as Léon touched the wall first, securing his first gold of the Games.
Camille’s eyes filled with tears of pride as she watched Léon climb out of the pool, his chest heaving with exertion. He looked up into the stands, searching for her, and when their eyes met, the world seemed to melt away.
She was the first to rush down to the poolside, and as soon as Léon was close enough, she threw her arms around him, uncaring of the water soaking her clothes. “You did it, Léon!” she exclaimed, her voice choked with emotion.
Léon held her tightly, his wet hair clinging to his forehead as he laughed, the sound rich with relief and joy. “For you, Camille. I did it for you.”
Their lips met in a kiss, one filled with all the love and support they had for each other. It was a promise of more to come, of standing by each other through every victory and defeat.
---
**Day 2: Dressage - Camille’s First Event**
The next day, it was Léon’s turn to be the nervous spectator. Camille was a vision of elegance and poise as she entered the equestrian arena, her horse, Étoile, moving beneath her with a grace that took Léon’s breath away. Dressage was Camille’s passion, a discipline that required absolute harmony between rider and horse, and Léon knew how much this moment meant to her.
Léon stood at the edge of the arena, his heart in his throat as he watched Camille guide Étoile through their routine. Every movement was fluid, every transition seamless. The bond between Camille and Étoile was evident in every step, every turn. She looked so calm, so in control, but Léon knew the intensity behind her focus, the fire that drove her to be the best.
As the final movement ended, there was a moment of silence before the arena erupted into applause. The judges’ scores flashed on the screen, and Léon’s heart soared when he saw that Camille had earned the highest marks. She had done it—gold.
He couldn’t contain his excitement as he rushed to meet her. Camille was just dismounting when Léon reached her, lifting her off the ground and spinning her around in a joyful embrace. “You were incredible, Camille!” he exclaimed, his voice filled with pride and admiration.
Camille’s laughter was like music to his ears, her eyes sparkling with happiness. “I had to match your gold somehow,” she teased, pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
Léon kissed her back, his heart swelling with love. “We’re unstoppable together,” he murmured against her lips. “I love you, Camille. More than anything.”
“I love you too, Léon,” Camille replied, her voice filled with emotion. “And I’ll always be here, cheering you on, just like you are for me.”
---
**Day 4: 200m Butterfly - Léon’s Second Event**
The days blurred together in a whirlwind of competition, but each event brought Léon and Camille closer. They supported each other through the highs and lows, their love strengthening with each shared experience.
The 200m butterfly was Léon’s next challenge, and Camille was once again on the edge of her seat, her heart racing as she watched him step onto the starting block. This race was one of his specialties, but the competition was fierce, and Camille could feel the tension in the air.
The race began, and Léon dove into the water, his powerful strokes cutting through the waves with precision. Camille held her breath as he battled it out with the other swimmers, the lead changing hands several times. By the final lap, it was neck and neck, and Camille could barely contain her anxiety as Léon pushed himself to the limit.
In the final few meters, Léon found an extra burst of speed, surging ahead to touch the wall just a fraction of a second before his closest competitor. The crowd erupted in cheers, and Camille’s heart soared with pride. Another gold for Léon.
She was at the edge of the pool before he even climbed out, her heart racing as she saw the triumphant smile on his face. “You were amazing, Léon!” she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around him the moment he was within reach.
Léon’s chest was still heaving with exertion, but he pulled her close, his wet skin cool against her own. “I could hear you cheering me on,” he said, his voice rough with emotion. “It gave me the strength I needed.”
Camille kissed him, pouring all her love and pride into the kiss. “And I’ll always be here, Léon. Always.”
---
**Day 5: Cross-Country - Camille’s Second Event**
Cross-country was Camille’s second event, and it was one of the most demanding. The course was challenging, the terrain rugged, but Camille and Étoile were more than ready. Léon watched from the sidelines, his heart pounding as he saw Camille navigate the course with skill and precision.
Every jump, every turn was a test of endurance and trust between Camille and her horse, and Léon could see the bond they shared in every movement. Camille’s face was a picture of concentration, but there was also a look of pure joy—she loved this, the thrill of the challenge, the connection with Étoile.
Léon’s breath caught in his throat as Camille and Étoile approached the final jump. The entire stadium seemed to hold its breath as they soared over the obstacle, landing perfectly on the other side. Camille crossed the finish line with the fastest time of the day, securing her second gold.
Léon’s heart swelled with pride as he ran to meet her, catching her in his arms as she dismounted. “You did it, Camille! You’re incredible!” he exclaimed, his voice filled with awe.
Camille’s eyes were bright with tears of joy as she hugged him tightly. “I couldn’t have done it without knowing you were here, Léon,” she whispered. “You give me strength.”
Léon cupped her face in his hands, his thumb brushing away a stray tear. “And you’re my inspiration, Camille. I love you so much.”
Their kiss was tender, filled with the deep love and connection they shared. Together, they were unstoppable, their hearts beating as one.
---
**Day 7: 4x100m Freestyle Relay - Léon’s Final Event**
The 4x100m freestyle relay was Léon’s final event, and it was the one he wanted the most. He had already won three golds, but this one was special—a team effort that could bring France another victory.
Camille was in the stands, her hands clenched tightly together as she watched the relay unfold. Léon was swimming the anchor leg, and as the race progressed, it became clear that it would come down to the final few seconds. The tension was unbearable as Léon took off, his powerful strokes propelling him through the water with incredible speed.
The French team was trailing slightly, but Léon dug deep, finding a reserve of energy that pushed him ahead in the final meters. The stadium erupted in cheers as Léon touched the wall first, securing his fourth gold medal of the Games.
Camille felt tears of pride and joy stream down her face as she watched Léon climb out of the pool, his teammates surrounding him in celebration. He had done it—four gold medals. When their eyes met across the crowded pool deck, Léon broke away from his team, making his way to her.
Camille was waiting for him with open arms, and as soon as he reached her, she pulled him into a tight embrace. “You did it, Léon! Four.
---
The Olympic Games had been an unforgettable whirlwind of emotion, competition, and triumph for Léon Marchand and Camille Durand. Their love had been their strength, carrying them through the intense highs and lows of the competition. Together, they had won seven gold medals for France—four for Léon and three for Camille. But as the final day of the Games approached, there was one last moment that would make these Olympics truly unforgettable.
---
**Day 8: Show Jumping - Camille’s Final Event**
The atmosphere in the arena was electric as Camille prepared for her final event: the show jumping competition. She had already secured two gold medals in dressage and cross-country, and now, all that stood between her and a third gold was this last event. Léon watched her from the stands, his heart racing, not just with anticipation for her performance, but for what he planned to do afterward.
Camille looked stunning in her riding gear, her face a mask of concentration as she guided Étoile, her beloved white stallion, into the arena. The crowd fell silent, all eyes on the duo as they approached the first jump.
Léon held his breath, his hands clasped tightly together as Camille and Étoile moved through the course with incredible precision and grace. Every jump was flawless, every turn smooth and controlled. Camille and Étoile were in perfect harmony, moving as one through the difficult course.
As they approached the final jump, the entire arena seemed to hold its breath. Léon’s heart pounded in his chest, and when Camille and Étoile cleared the jump flawlessly, the crowd erupted in cheers. She had done it—Camille had secured her third gold medal of the Games.
Léon felt a surge of pride and love as he watched her dismount, her face glowing with happiness. But even as she was surrounded by her teammates and the press, Camille’s eyes sought Léon’s in the crowd, and when they met, she smiled, a smile that made Léon’s heart swell with emotion.
---
**The Proposal**
As Camille was handed her gold medal during the podium ceremony, Léon was already in motion. He had planned every detail of what was about to happen, and with a deep breath, he walked onto the arena floor, carrying a small velvet box in his hand.
Camille’s heart skipped a beat when she saw Léon approaching her. The crowd was still cheering, their excitement for her victory filling the air, but suddenly, everything else faded away. All she could see was Léon, his eyes shining with love and something else—something that made her pulse quicken.
As Léon reached her, the arena fell into a hush, the spectators sensing that something special was about to happen. Camille looked at him, her heart in her throat, as he took her hand in his.
“Camille,” Léon began, his voice steady but filled with emotion, “these past few weeks have been the most incredible of my life, and not just because of the medals. You’ve been by my side through every race, every challenge, and I’ve never been more sure of anything than I am of this.”
He dropped to one knee, and the crowd gasped in unison. Camille’s hand flew to her mouth, her eyes filling with tears as Léon opened the velvet box to reveal a beautiful diamond ring.
“Camille Durand,” Léon said, his voice trembling slightly as he looked up at her, “I love you more than anything in this world. Will you marry me?”
For a moment, Camille couldn’t speak, her heart so full of love and joy that it felt like it might burst. The world around them seemed to disappear, and all that remained was Léon, down on one knee, asking her to spend the rest of her life with him.
“Yes,” she finally whispered, her voice shaking with emotion. “Yes, Léon, I’ll marry you.”
The crowd erupted into cheers as Léon slipped the ring onto her finger, rising to his feet to pull her into his arms. Camille laughed through her tears, wrapping her arms around his neck as their lips met in a kiss that felt like the beginning of forever.
The cheers of the crowd surrounded them, the cameras capturing every moment, but Léon and Camille were lost in their own world, their hearts beating as one. As they stood there, wrapped in each other’s arms, they knew that this moment was more precious than any medal they could ever win.
They had come to the Olympics as athletes, determined to make their mark on the world. But they were leaving as something even more—partners, ready to face the future together, hand in hand, with a love that would last a lifetime.

Throughout history, women have left an undeniable impact on society with their hard work, creativity, and dedication to progress. Unfortunately, their accomplishments have often gone unnoticed, been undervalued, or even stolen. Despite these challenges, brave women of today continue to push boundaries, break barriers, and pave the way for a more fair and equal world. It's our duty to keep going, so that future generations of women can inherit a kinder, more just, and supportive world. By following in the footsteps of the incredible women who came before us, we can create a world where every woman can flourish and succeed, and where their contributions are recognized and celebrated.
Joan of Arc is a patron saint of France, honored as a defender of the French nation for her role in the siege of Orléans and her insistence on the coronation of Charles VII of France during the Hundred Years' War. Claiming to be acting under divine guidance, she became a military leader who transcended gender roles and gained recognition as a savior of France. She was put on trial by Bishop Pierre Cauchon on accusations of heresy, which included blaspheming by wearing men's clothes, acting upon visions that were demonic, and refusing to submit her words and deeds to the judgment of the church. She was declared guilty and burned at the stake on 30 May 1431, aged about nineteen.
Rani Lakshmibai was the Maharani consort of the princely state of Jhansi from 1843 to 1853. She was one of the leading figures in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 became a symbol of resistance to the British rule in India for Indian nationalists. When the Maharaja died in 1853, the British East India Company under Governor-General Lord Dalhousie refused to recognize the claim of his adpoted heir and annexed Jhansi under the Doctrine of Lapse. She rode into battle with her infant son strapped to her back, and died in June 1858 after being mortally wounded during the British counterattack at Gwalior.
Rosalind Franklin was a British chemist and X-ray crystallographer whose work was instrumental in the discovery of the structure of DNA. Her contributions were largely overlooked by her male colleagues, James Watson and Francis Crick, who used her data without her permission or acknowledgement. This theft of her intellectual property and erasure of her contributions is a prime example of the systemic sexism that has historically plagued the scientific community.
Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian-American actress and inventor who co-invented a frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology during World War II that was used to guide torpedoes. However, her contributions were largely ignored and dismissed by male engineers and the military at the time. It was only later in life that she received recognition for her scientific achievements.
Emma Weyant is an American competitive swimmer. She was the US national champion at the individual medley. She qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games in the 400m individual medley and won the silver medal in this event. Weyant finished second in the 500-yard freestyle at the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. She was beaten by William (Lia) Thomas, a fetishist, who when competing as a member of the Penn men's team, which was 2018-19, ranked 554th in the 200 freestyle, 65th in the 500 freestyle and 32nd in the 1650 freestyle. Weyant is the fastest swimmer in the 500-yard freestyle and had her position stolen by a man.
Maryna Viazovska is a Ukrainian mathematician who made a breakthrough in sphere packing, solving the centuries-old mathematical problem known as the densest packing of spheres in dimensions 8 and 24. She was awarded the Fields Medal in July 2022, making her the second woman (after Maryam Mirzakhani), the second person born in the Ukrainian SSR and the first with a degree from a Ukrainian university to ever receive it.
Hannie Schaft was a Dutch resistance fighter during World War II who played a crucial role in the resistance movement against Nazi occupation. Schaft was a former university student who dropped out because she refused to sign a pledge of loyalty to Germany. Nazis arrested and killed her in 1945, just three weeks before the war ended in Europe. According to lore, Schaft’s last words were, “I’m a better shot,” after initially only being wounded by her executioner.
Shakuntala Devi was an Indian mathematician and mental calculator who was known as the "Human Computer" for her exceptional ability to perform complex mathematical calculations in her head. Her extraordinary abilities earned her a place in the 1982 Guinness Book of Records. Her lesser known achievement is that in 1977 she wrote what is considered to be the first book in India on homosexuality titled “The World of Homosexuals.”
J. K. Rowling is a British author and philanthropist. She wrote Harry Potter, a seven-volume children's fantasy series published from 1997 to 2007. Known for her philanthropy, she was doxxed and harassed after coming out with support for women's and gay rights in 2020. Rowling secretly donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to save 100 female lawyers and their families facing murder in Afghanistan. In 2022, she funded a women's only rape shelter in Edinburgh.

What better way to pass time then to write up the timeline of Sol's time traveling? 😂😂
Since this includes everything from the beginning and I don't tag spoilers, I'll put it under the keep reading to be safe.
Early June 2008 - the first time she comes back to the past. I don't think we got a specific date, but the radio playing in the background indicates that it's the beginning of the summer.
Mid to Late June 2008 - based on the poster, this is around when Sun Jae's last swim competition takes place, and then he must have gotten injured the next day or a few days after this?
Early to Mid July 2008 - Sun Jae's surgery and recovery. It probably would have been about a week or two (at most?) for Sun Jae to get the surgery and then be discharged from the hospital. And right after this would have been when Sol gets drunk and Sun Jae confesses to Sol for the first time.
Around Jul 20th, 2008 is when Sol travels back to the future and 19 year old Sol comes back.
Jan 1st, 2023 - Sol travels back to the same time that she had left and I think goes back that night around midnight again.
Jul 29th, 2008 - this is the second time Sol comes back to the past. Basing the 7/20 date on her saying that 10 days have passed.
Aug 10th, 2008 is when Sol takes Sun Jae out to the movies - based on the 400m freestyle swim event that took place during the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Aug 16th, 2008 is when Geum meets Sun Jae for the first time and also Sol's dad's memorial day - based on the weightlifting event.
Aug 23rd, 2008 is when Sun Jae confesses to Sol for the second time and Sol's mother is admitted to the hospital for surgery - based on the baseball game that they were cheering for (S. Korea vs Cuba).
Sept 1st, 2008 is the day she gets kidnapped by the taxi driver - which also happens in the original timeline - and then travels back to the future.
Jan 1st, 2023 - she returns to the future for the second time and this time, she is able to walk.
Jan 15th, 2023 - Eclipse has their concert and she reunites with Sun Jae. The next day, Sun Jae is attacked.
Based on the preview for episode 9, she returns to March 2009. This means that Eclipse could still debut that summer. In the original timeline, they had debuted in July 2009.

Olympic swimming is pretty cut and dry (heh), simple races like those on the track, but para swimming is endlessly fascinating bc even within each classification, each swimmer has a different technique depending on their level of disability. Like all Olympic-level back strokes look the same to me, but if a Paralympian has one arm, then they have to compensate differently than another who has one leg. Like I just watched a woman with one arm and one leg win gold in the S6 400m freestyle, staying several body-lengths ahead of everyone else who had both sets of limbs for nearly all 8 laps 🤯🤯🤯 Also, I’m pretty sure all double-arm-amputee swimmers are just fucking merpeople lol like leagues faster than other swimmers and they rarely come up for a breath!

Katie Ledecky’s Golden Moment: Tears of Joy and a Historic Flag-Bearing Honor
Tumblr media
OMG! Can you believe it? Our girl Katie Ledecky, the swimming Queen with FOUR Olympic golds under her belt, is gonna be carrying the American Flag at the closing ceremonies in Paris.
When her teammate Bobby Finke spilled the tea via FaceTime, Katie was so overwhelmed she burst into tears. It’s a HUGE honor, and she’s totally stoked to represent Team USA after all their amazing performances.
Tumblr media
This closing ceremony will be Katie’s first-ever, and she’s definitely earned it. She killed it in Paris, snagging gold in the 800m and 1500m freestyle, silver in the 4x200m relay, and bronze in the 400m freestyle. And guess what? She’s not done yet! She’s already got her eyes on the 2028 LA Games, ready to push herself and her teammates to be even better.
Tumblr media
Katie’ journey is seriously inspiring. She might not have dreamed of being an Olympian as a kid, but she fell head over heels for swimming right from the start. Remember those summer league swim meets with the Sharks and Minnows games, barbecues, and lifelong friendships? That’s what sparked her love for the sport.
So to all you young swimmers out there, Katie’s got some simple advice: “Just keep swimming and have as much fun as you can with the sport.”
Katie’s story is proof that dreams do come true, and with hard work and dedication, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. We’re so proud of her, and we can’t wait to see what she does next!

Chapter 3: Knowing
At home, I went on social media, my brother had tagged me in a childhood photo of me and said “last time Katie Ledecky lost in the 800m” he also told me he didn’t know how many times they had focused on our mother in the stands at the world swimming championships I just returned from, and stuff like that.
I checked my DM on ig and the new zealand swimmer Erika Fairweather had written to me, who had broken 4:00 in the 400m freestyle, she was grateful for the mention I made, telling me that I always pay attention to the achievements of others, and that surely for me those numbers are a “normal” thing. Another dm was from that ice cream girl who told me “Ledecky being a God in the relay, nothing new”
For a moment I wondered how long she has been in my sports career because looking at DMs, she had never written or sent me anything before the short video I took with her, it was curious but apparently after that she was aware of my stories and sometimes she responded.
—————
End of August 2023
Checking the large drawer of the medal and souvenir rack, on the left side were the two stuffed animals, I took them out, first of all, I didn't really like keeping something next to the medals, even if the souvenirs had to do with it and second, I was already packing my suitcase to go to Colorado Springs.
I wouldn't be there long, I wouldn't have a way to leave them myself, I didn't feel at the moment that I had to do it myself but I would look for someone to take them. Someone outside the TEAM.
———————
I wasn't working the cash register when a delivery guy came with a rather large gift bag, I was serving ice cream in the back. There was a line of about three people and my coworker who was attending told me it was for me.
The delivery guy was standing to the side of the counter, outside the line, he asked me for my name, just my first name without a last name, he made me sign and that was it. It was unexpected. ¿Who is going to send me a gift? I don't know anyone. The package had to wait until there were no customers in line to be able to check it.
The gift bag was white with little ducks on it, childish and beautiful. After checking that there was no trace of who the sender was on the outside, my concern increased.
I took a deep breath, I didn't want to damage the bag, it was so pretty and although it didn't look that fragile, I wanted to be careful. It had a Velcro adhesive on the top.
I opened it and inside there was another paper bag and inside it there were two blue stuffed animals, they were super adorable on their cheeks there were pink circles, on the chest there was a small silver square with letters in another language, I gulped, they had a little label that said made in Japan. Although I didn't pay much attention, it's not uncommon for things to say ”Made in China”, but ¿made in Japan?
I kept looking inside the bag, there were two big heavy cardboard books, they looked expensive, they were children's themed, I opened them, those are to lift the cover, touch and feel, there were simple illustrations, with bright colors and interactive elements, one was about water and fish and the other about animals on the farm, I didn't look page by page.
I looked at the bottom of the bag and I didn't see any note, I panicked. I looked at the books in more detail and in the water themed one there was a blue note.
It said:
I think this book is more appropriate for your baby, “I think” because I wish I had more of an idea.
By the way, thanks for the nice words.
Katie Ledecky
First of all I saw the signature before I read the little note that was shy but direct.
This hit me like a ton of bricks. ¿As if it could be possible? This woman is perfect in every way. She is sweet as a cherry pie, and at the same time so attentive but awkward and so powerful. I can’t get her out of my head, I think of her 24/7 like a spell and although sometimes I reprimand myself for responding to her stories, it’s inevitable.
Everything she is as a world-class swimmer is admirable, ¿but this? To melt.
I had to wait until I got home, although I was dying to thank her once and for all through the DM. I was at work and it was better than her getting home and being with my baby.
That same night, I decided to send her a cute photo of Alexander, who was already holding the stuffed shark with his little hands, sitting on the bed next to the blue bear and the two books. He couldn't stop looking at and touching everything.
I didn't upload the image anywhere, I was discreet. Nor did I tell my coworkers who sent me the gift bag. They did ask because it was really strange, I never received anything from anyone in the past.
I rewrote the thank you like 10 times, it always seemed like too much, I would name so many qualities that I thought about her, but then I would delete it before sending it. The gift was more for my baby Alexander and writing so many things didn't seem right to me. I didn't want to seem like a crazy fan, ¿but what was the right thing to do when talking to someone like Katie Ledecky?
In the end, I wrote her a sincere thank you.
The next morning I saw that around 5:30 AM she wrote to me:
“If you know the ducky gift bag is for LeDucky lol”
I got excited again. She hadn’t written to me since that time she told me she was at the airport in Fukuoka, Japan.
Basically she saw my responses to her stories, sometimes, not all. But there were no words or interactions since that time
I replied that I had realized because I had read about the “Leducky” somewhere. Beyond that, I didn’t know what else to answer without being cringe, I don’t know.
But it occurred to me to ask her:
-¿Do you like giving gifts?
Almost immediately she answered me, it was after 6 AM
-Yes.
-Do you give gifts to your fans… little fans?
-I almost never do, but I would like to do it more and spend more time getting to know them.
-Then Alexander is lucky
-I didn’t know what to give you to read, the book I’m writing won’t come out until next year.
-¿Are you writing a book? You're beyond amazing, you know?
-Yes. I'm on it. Thanks.
-¿Are you here in town? - I typed but immediately regretted it and didn't send it
-I hope you enjoy yourself here in Colorado Springs, Katie. I'd love for you to visit us at the ice cream shop again- I typed instead
She gave her a thumbs up and ended the conversation that day.
————————————————
Of course I had already questioned myself why I gave her a gift and why I was answering that girl's messages. It was something too new for me and disturbing. Having this kind of attention with a stranger. But there was something about that girl and her little baby that always made me open what new message she had written me even if I didn't answer it, I could see it.
I was still just a child at heart. And there was something genuine implicitly, I don't think it was because of the swimming at all, it was something else, and there's her little baby, I must say that her situation makes me think of mothers who go out to work every day and have no one to support them. It must be difficult not to have anyone. I thought from the privileges I've always had thanks to my family.
——————————-
By the way, I didn't go to the ice cream shop, I wasn't in Colorado Springs for that purpose. Although on my second night in the city, my TEAM colleagues suggested going out at night for some relaxation. Vaguely someone suggested the nearest shopping center, where Ainhoa works, but someone joked “Yuck” “I want to have some real fun.” “We have to go further away.”
In the end, no one dared. Me neither. I got up too early and got sleepy too early too. ——————————-
Early October
A few weeks ago my brother has been asking me for advice on what he could give his girlfriend for her anniversary, I'm not the best person to give him that. But I promised him that I would think of something, and in two days I would tell him my idea, after all I am his sister. I know him well. It would be very likely that knowing him so well, in two days when I tell him my idea he will tell me that he had already thought of this very thing. It will be fun.
I searched on the internet first for what it feels like to like someone
The search yielded:
1. You think about the other person many times a day
¿What? No, it is not at all normal to think excessively about someone else. Definitely
Below it continued: spoiler alert: in the next scene, you will be in love and the thoughts about the other person will grow exponentially with the days.
2. You need communication all day long
Science offers data on this, since according to a study carried out by the American psychologist John Gottman in 2017, being in communication all the time through messages and being interested in what the other person does, is an unequivocal sign that you feel something more than attraction or sympathy.
3. You make plans for the future
Another unmistakable symptom that your heart is going into terminal infatuation is visualizing yourself in the future next to that person. For example, when you think about a trip and assume that he or she will be there; or you talk about the coming year and assume that you will be together.
(I only think about Paris 2024)
4. You changed habits to adapt or please the other person
5. You want to have sex all the time
And yes, he meant having sex very constantly, and only with that person.
It continued:
Scientifically, in addition to having developed a sexual compulsion towards that person, you have also become addicted to them chemically speaking. In other words, you have fallen in love and you want to express it physically all the time and in addition, intimacy has no limits as to what to do with that person, which reveals another key factor in falling in love.
I snort, I've definitely never been wrapped in the fog of irrational infatuation, luckily.
The key points that gave me the most shudders would be changing habits because of the life I lead. For years I've been focused on my double swimming training, weights, double naps, a little entertainment and going to bed early, not counting trips and commitments, ¿so needing communication all day? It's nothing I would do. I think.
————————————
Thank you for inviting me Ainhoa…-I paused for a moment, moving the phone away from me a little.
I hated that it was like that… rejecting an invitation to a little baby's birthday. But I explained to Ainhoa that I couldn't go to Colorado Springs for Alexander's second birthday, I had the RoadtoParis photo shoot with the USA team and the 2023 Golden Google awards ceremony, both in California, followed by Thanksgiving dinner with my family and immediately after, the US open in Greensboro.
The last month and a half, our interactions had become more frequent and closer, a friendship. We only talked via DM on ig and Ainhoa even sent me an audio call there, and I answered it.
-Tell that little man that his gift will not be missing, ¿okay? Give him a kiss from me. I'm so sorry, I really wish I could be there but...
—————————————
-Thanks Katie, you don't have to apologize for anything. I just asked you to see if you could make some time for yourself, I know you're a very busy person. And yes, I'll kiss him for you. I have to get ready for work- I apologized, it was true but I felt a lump in my throat.
We said goodbye.

Princess Sara bint Feisal, accompanied by Mrs. Rana Nazmi Al-Saeed (Secretary-General of the Jordan Olympic Committee), is leading the Jordanian delegation participating at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The princess' father, Prince Feisal, and brother Prince Omar were also in attendance.
HRH supported the Jordanian athletes on the busy opening day of the games, ensuring they had the best support and preparations possible from the Jordan Olympic Committee to compete at their best.
The Princess praised the historic participation of Ahmed Abu Al-Soud in the men’s gymnastics and Zaid Abu Yemen in the table tennis, who both did Jordan proud during their first Olympics, despite not going through to the next stage. She also commended the participation of 15-year-old Karen Al-Bilbeisi in the swimming, as she finished a credible fifth in her 400m freestyle heat, providing her with excellent experience for the future.

Hello Dani!
I kinda have a dumb question lol. So you see how max is an Olympic swimmer champion? And he has like 8-13 metals?
What does that even mean? Idk how the Olympics work, I’m kinda living under a rock I think. Does the amount he’s one mean he’s one of best? Does he have only gold metals? Does he have bronze? How can you have more than one metal if it’s one big event? Has he been in the Olympics more than once?
I tried doing my own research about what the metals mean and the records for Olympic swimmers before I’ve come and asked you because I didn’t want to waste your time. And I still don’t get it 💀 But I think as an author you’d like to talk about your characters so um pls explain what all this means?
Happy to help!
Max has 14 medals in total 😇
He's only participated once (four years ago in the story) and he only won gold medals for all his events.
Some sports, like swimming (and running/track), have multiple events (more than one race) so there is a chance to win multiple medals by one person. For example, in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Michael Phelps won 8 medals for swimming by participating in 8 different events (he won gold in all 8 oof).
Max, similarly, won a medal in every single one he participated in - all gold, because he is the prince of the ocean and the swimming pool.
There are over 17 swimming events someone can potentially participate in - Max participated in only 14 (sometimes you don't get into everything - especially relay events - where you have to swim as a team)
If it helps, here are the 14 events Max participated in and won medals for: 50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle, 200m Freestyle, 400m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 200m Backstroke, 100m Breaststroke, 200m Breaststroke, 100m Butterfly, 200m Butterfly, 200m Individual Medley, 400m Individual Medley, 4x100m Freestyle Relay, 4x100m Medley Relay.
Side note: Max's favorite stroke is freestyle and his favorite event is the individual medley (where you need to use all four main strokes)
