@skeksisgender and @apineappleheart gave me Succession for the fandom ask!
Send me a fandom and I’ll tell you my:
blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most)
Roman!! he has an absolute hold over my brain and I need to study him under a microscope, he is so cringe (affectionate) and sad, I love him jhsdgj
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)
Greg, he is actually a giant borzoi with sad eyes to me
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)
Lukas! he's only just been introduced but he's a fucking STRANGE man and I love his dynamic with Roman, I'm hoping we see more of him in S4
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week)
Stewy, I miss him 😔 he had like 5mins of screentime this season and I was disappointed KJHFDJK
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave)
All of the Roy siblings, I go from wanting to reduce them to a fine red mist to 🥺🥺🥺 constantly
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason)
Tom and Greg should go in the Saw bathroom trap because I think it would be funny
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell)
Logan and Caroline I hate them so fucking much

Myanmar Adventure: Day 9: Flying to Mandalay
After breakfast we took a nap & packed our bags. Checkout was at midday, so we handed our key in and then went for a swim n sat around the pool until 3pm.
I found a praying mantis for Sarah to collect as she is an artist & likes collecting interesting things. Teri then spent her time clearing out all the bugs floating in the pool and studying them on the side 😂
It was really nice to spend a day chilling out by the pool, Teri is still a bit sick, so we decided that a thirteen hour coach trip would be too much, so we bought a plane ticket to Mandalay for £50.
It took an hour to get to the airport in a taxi, weaving in and out of traffic along the mountain roads. Our taxi driver was pretty skilled at this, I felt he drove a lot like me!😆
The airport was tiny, we got a guy to take our luggage up to the building in a cart for no charge, then a guy took our bags to the check in desk. He looked at my payment confirmation on my phone and our passports and handed me the tickets... no weighing of bags.
The security was pretty special too. Chevron lounge and and two were signed by some laminated paper above the entrance. You then put your bag into a conveyor belt where it went through the x-ray machine... while the attendance checkout out his Facebook account on his phone! I could have carried through a machete and a AK47 and he wouldn’t have noticed!
The lounge was equally amusing. On the wall was a large row of digital clocks that showed the times around the world... except they were all wrong! How was it 12:00 in London, but 12:08 in Paris!?!?
When our plane arrive they drew the flight number in chalk on a small board by the door and everyone rushed to get on the plane which was a few hundred yards from the door. A small plane with two seats on either side of the plane. It wasn’t full so we all got double seats. The flight was so quick, only 20mins!! It’s was take off... go straight for 5mins & come into land!
The exit at Mandalay was also a bit lax, they just waved us past the exit luggage scanners!
We met a couple of ladies on our flight who suggested we share a ride into town, they had been friends for over 40 years. One was from Louisiana and the other from Paris. There was a taxi service inside the airport which charged 4000kyat per person for a shared taxi, this is basically a mini bus which then drops people off at their various locations.
The journey into Mandalay was very interesting, so interesting that I made notes as we went along because it was quite ridiculous...
Journey from Mandalay airport at night...
1. Pushbike on motorway
2. No helmets on motorbikes
3. Motorbike going wrong way up carriageway
4. No lights on motorcycles, or any kind of reflectiveness
5. Several horse & carriages with no lights, looked like a wedding procession.
6. Exit signs were stone slabs with the number of the exit on it... directly ON the turn point!
7. Main road into Mandalay is really wide probably 6 lane... except there are ZERO road markings meaning a total free-for-all!
8. Motorbikes traversing the 6 lanes of traffic from one side to the other
9. People crossing the 6 lane road on foot IN THE DARK!
10. Crossroads are just survival of the bravest or biggest vehicle!
The ladies we met were dropped off at their very posh looking hotel... one which I doubt I will ever be able to afford. We then drove off to our £7 a night ‘character’ of a guesthouse... The Royal Guest House! In the guidebook it said it selected its colour palette based on the Rubik’s cube & they were not wrong! It reminds me of an small old fashioned hospital but painted in strong colours to make it look brighter!
Our room was the first room on the first floor. A very small room with a double & single bed and a small shower room. There are stupid amounts of different light switches for a small room, including a switch to turn the daylight on! (The windows basically look out into a wall about 10cm away, so they have put lights out there!)
The aircon is very noisy but is actually quite nice as it blocks out any other noises (all other hotels we have been woke up early by the likes of banging, sawing, loud music etc.)
We chilled out for a bit & me & Sarah decided to explore while Teri rested up. We walked down 83rd street in search of the street market & we stumbled upon it on 84th street. It was very different from the one last night, this one had no food stalls and was mostly selling clothes. I spotted a dress made out of motorbike fabric & bought it for 7000 Kyat (£3.92). Sarah found some old Myanmar books on a secondhand book stall for 200 Kyat each (11p) that she wanted to use for art projects, as they have the unique Myanmar text in them.
We decided to look for food and went back to a place we had seen on the way down that had been incredibly busy. It was a street restaurant (a restaurant that pops up in the night on the pavement). We walked by the kitchen area and could see them making roti’s and straight away we knew it would be Indian food! The place is called Karaweik Cafe and us run by a descendant of Indian workers who came over with the British army. He was a lovely fella wearing a bright flowered shirt and had a big silvery beard.
I ordered a chicken Roti (which they call a pancake) and beef with coconut rice, Sarah had chicken with coconut rice. The food came with a selection of side dishes, a plate of onion & tomatoes, some totally amazing mango chutney, some mint & fresh chillies, some chilli sprinkles & a creamy sauce. The whole thing was spectacular! I live in Leicester where the curry houses are many and this place tops them all!
The owner sat next to our table & chatted to us, topping up our side plates when we finished them off.
We decided we would go back tomorrow as it is so amazingly tasty!
