I took an art break bc college has been busy but the other 3 are in the works and 90's is almost done ♡ Left to right, top to bottom: Rosebud from Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Angela Baker from Sleepaway Camp, Sarah Mercer from My Bloody Valentine, Meg Halsey from Re-Animator, Audrey Fulquard from Little Shop of Horrors, Elvira (technically not a horror character herself but excluding her would be a crime), Kirsty Cotton from Hellraiser, Angela Franklin from Night of the Demons, Wendy Torrance from The Shining, Carol Anne Freeling from Poltergeist, and Maven and Katrina from the movie Vamp.

Favourite pieces of Weird Girl media? That uquiz has me Thinking (along with that gothic heroine dress up game, might revisit the concept of a gothic romance I came up with some years back)

any and every alice in wonderland, of course! my all-time beloved.

so weird. this was a show that ran on disney channel in the ’90s. the protagonist, fiona, has paranormal adventures and encounters while traveling all over on her musician mom’s tour bus and writes about them on her fantastically ’90s webpage. fi is a True Believer and her family and friends largely think she’s a lunatic. her father died under Mysterious Paranormal Circumstances that haunt and vex her. this show made me who i am today and as my rewatch last fall can confirm - a lot of the scary stuff holds up!

speaking of cute and spooky disney Weird Girl properties: gravity falls and halloweentown. on any show besides GF i think mabel pines would have been a total joke, but the show loves her SO MUCH and SO DO I. (it helps, i think, that a lot of her was inspired by the creator ’s real-life sister.) halloweentown gets extra points from me for not being one of those annoying Magical World stories where the protagonist gets kicked back to her boring, ordinary life with extreme prejudice in the end.

pan’s labyrinth. for the most discerning and sensitive Weird Girls, and those who also got into trouble for putting strange and occult items around the house as a child.

coraline. ESPECIALLY the book. the movie is cute and fine but has absolutely nothing on the book for spookiness and strangeness.

labyrinth. a classic, obviously.

the secret garden. give a listen to the marsha norman and lucy simon musical adaptation, too, which comes not only with all of the Weird Girl delights of the novel - “the girl i mean to be” is a Weird Girl anthem - but bonus Tragic Gothic Romance for the adult characters!

emily of new moon. i know that anne shirley is many people’s go-to LMM-written Weird Girl. these are people who have not yet met emily byrd starr.

true grit. the 2010 one. now, mattie ross is a little different to the others on this list, but this American West subspecies of Weird Girl checks out.

a series of unfortunate events. another one i do not see cited often as Weird Girl media, which is a slight on everything violet and sunny (and isadora and fiona, for that matter) have done for us.

and a few honorable mentions for Weird Girls who are slightly older than the typical and/or not main characters of their media, but nevertheless were formative and inspirational to me as a Weird Girl-Child:

christine daaé; katrina van tassel in the tim burton sleepy hollow; and luna lovegood who deserved better even before HP went radioactive.

I was just thinking how Naoko Takeuchi really cannot really blamed for the failure of not given romantic relationships to the other girls in Usagi's inner circle. That lies entirely on the fault of the writers for the 90s anime. The author could only do so much in a 60 act manga. The anime on the other hand? Could've fleshed out their relationships OUTSIDE Usagi and duties as Sailor Guardians. It was never going happen though because of pandering to a certain male demographic that does not....

their favorite girl/Sailor Guardian (or so-called "wifu") that's not Usagi/Sailor Moon in a relationship lest they be seen as "tainted" or "damaged goods" or "impure" or no longer just for themselves. I mean, look at Ami Mizuno. Ryo Urawa disappears after the first season despite the obvious rapport they had with one another. An anime only character with potential character development for Ami and also a potential partner/boyfriend completely memory holed. But that's the 90s anime for you.

and kept it moving since she had deadlines on top of deadlines.

Sure she could have bought them back but who is to say they don't come back in the future once Mamo figures out his powers. Which him and Usagi figure out to bring them back?

Then you got people who don't like the pairings and feel like it's lazy on her to pair a senshi with a shittenou.

Then you got people who pair the senshi with the senshi.

So Naoko did the drawing and kept trucking and just focused on Usa/Mamo, Har/Mic, Chibiusa and her potential love story and the rest of the story.

I do like the potential with Asanuma and Mako tho. Also the fact her losing her parents at a young age

Even tho Mina got a whole fucking manga talking her love life and how she supposed to be cursed. Got a whole Kunzite look alike and fucking Ace!

Rei got a whole side story explaining why she's like " I don't trust men" which after you read it you understand perfectly why and you don't' fucking blame her. She had two great examples that show her in her eyes that men shouldn't be trusted. That Aries energy coming through!! ( Her dad and Kaidou is full of shit. Her grandad is the only positive older male figure she got in her life.)

Ami going to be Ami and the fact she saw what happen with her parents devoice. Also Ami first love.

( Cough none of this I mentioned is in the 90's anime but Ami first love Cough)

PGSM experimented with the pairings. ( Ami and Nephrite Chef Kiss That Mina and Zoi team up trying to stop Usa and Mamo from seeing each other. Double Chef Kiss )

Also with PGSM the fact Mako and Motoki become freaking engaged!.

Sere Myu give hints of the pairings.

Crystal finally confirmed the pairings in the past which everyone almost had a damn cow over it. Yes It could have been done better. I'm not going to even lie since they didn't even use some of the canon evidence that was in the manga to at least strengthen Mina and Kunzite if they couldn't do the other three. But it is what it is.

Fanfics handle the pairings better.

But the 90's anime... They never fully developed none of them for them to have a real love life.

Ami- Ryo Urawa was only in two episodes (27&41) and never heard of again. ( Anime Only) The second most developed Anime Only Character besides Yuuichirou but still under developed. Shingo had a crush on her in SuperS before that was his last appearance in the whole series.(144) ( And Ami first love…)

Mina- Had a crush on Alan which we found out in her backstory episode(42) but was never heard of again .Also the fact he was dating Katrina. Then had another crush Asai, in episode 100 who found out that she was Venus when she saved him but was never heard of again. ( Both Anime Only)

I guess you count when she chase after Haruka a whole episode.

When she trying to date Tiger Eye and Hawk Eye in one episode.

When her and Mako was trying to get the attention of a kindergarten teacher Mr.Honjo ( who had a child so single father or married but an damn adult they had a crush on) who was never heard of again. (154)

Of course her acting like a groupie with the Starlights…

Mako- Senpai Senpai! Her Senpai which was mentioned in her first episode( 23) and episode 49. Crane Game Joe who look like her old senpai and was in her first episode but was never heard of again. Shinozaki which was her friend she gave the blood transfusion to in episode 49 which he wasn’t her boyfriend but he was never heard of again. She developed a crush on Ail/Seijuurou episode 55 but that didn’t go anywhere since he wanted Usagi.

Of course Tiger Eye going after her.

Rei- Her dating Mamo in season one for a few episodes’ which most def fizzed out once we found out the truth. Yuuichirou had a major crush on her but that never got fully developed and she never told her feelings. Which his last appearance in the whole series was episode 136 in SuperS. He is the longest one being from season one until season four. Also being the only anime only character with the most development but still under developed.

Usagi,Mina,and Mako all had a crush on Motoki.

The only one that had a fully “developed” love story aka realtionship was Usagi.

The 90’s anime had the girls having guys that could have been developed for them only lasting one or two episodes before never been heard of again.

Then you have them screaming “I want a boyfriend” most of the time and then being groupies to the Starlights in StarS.

So nope you really can't blame Naoko since really give the girls backstory as to why finding a romantic partner maybe difficult for them.

But it still not to say they don't find one ( if they want one).

victoria is very, very artistically inclined, although she would never compare herself to victor in that aspect. she’s more of a dancer and takes ballet extremely seriously; her pointe shoes are very much an extension of her legs and she sees dance as a form of expression. there wasn’t much room for words or even emotion in the everglot household, so she did what she could to get by.

on that same note about the arts, she loves literature. she can probably quote some gothic literature by heart but don’t be fooled, she can also appreciate jane austen’s novels; they strike her as lighthearted and honestly, she can appreciate that.

because of her upbringing, she might come across as a bit too formal at times. slang isn’t much of a thing in her vocabulary and chances are some jokes will just not land the way they should. she’s trying her best though, i promise!

a sidenote to her not understanding a lot of jokes and whatnot: the exception would be literary puns and whatnot. i’m pretty sure she invented the “the opposite of formaldehyde is casualdejekyll” joke.

victoria adores her job as a dance teacher, but it was a bit of a struggle to adapt to it at first. her parents were never the most doting nor caring and her many tutors weren’t any more approachable, so it was a bit scary to put her reservations aside and allow herself to be open to children and tweens. she never had much experience with either prior to evermore, but she is incredibly grateful and pats herself on the back for how better she’s gotten at coexisting with them. 

on the subject of children, she often feels like she never had much of a childhood. victoria can hardly remember a scraped knee or a cold from being out in the rain for too long. she can’t recall having ever had mud on her dresses or climbing a tree, let alone running barefoot on the grass. little things like that make her feel as though she hasn’t had much of a life, at least not until now.

it might be surprising to some to learn that victoria is extremely difficult to scare. more often than not she’ll be fascinated by strange, unusual things and will wish to learn more about them, so they’ll make sense to her. you’ll never hear her scream in fear, maybe a gasp and a hand over her mouth but that’s as far as it’ll go. i’m not sure there’s anything she’s genuinely afraid of when it comes to spooks and horror.

she thinks colors are beautiful, but not on her. the only colors you’ll ever see her wearing are black, browns and extremely deep reds, as she feels everything else just looks ridiculous on her (which might very well be because her mother said so).

she may or may not watch reality tv as a guilty pleasure of sorts, especially shows like say yes to the dress or 90 day fianceé. she just likes seeing what other people are up to when it comes to love and marriage; it makes her feel less lonely and even more hopeful.

The famous high-altitude and all-climates reconnaissance aircraft of the U.S. Air Force (USAF), the U-2 Dragon Lady, marked the end of an era by flying on Beale Air Base's last Optical Bar Camera (OBC) mission on June 24.

The OBC mission, which captures the acquisition of daylight from high-altitude photographs, will transition to advanced operational locations supported by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. This movement allows processors to consolidate the film closest to the recognition collection required by the mission.

"This event closes a decades-long chapter for Beale Air Base and film processing, and opens another chapter in the digital world," said Adam Marigliani, an engineering support specialist at Collins Aerospace.

Collins Aerospace works alongside the 9th Beale Intelligence Squadron to download OBC images of U-2 global missions in support of the objectives of the U.S. Air Force.

The OBC mission operated from Beale for about 52 years, with the first OBC U-2 being deployed from Beale in 1974. Taken from the SR-71, the OBC was modified and tested in flight to support the U-2 platform, replacing the long-lasting IRIS sensor. While the IRIS' 24-inch focal length provided wide coverage, the OBC's 30-inch focal length allowed a significantly higher resolution.

"The U-2 maintains the ability to fly the OBC mission around the world and, if necessary, perform in a dynamic capacity for the use of force," said Lieutenant Colonel James Gaiser, commander of the 99th Reconnaissance Squadron.

Technicians work in the OBC used by U-2.

The OBC was sent to support several missions, including the relief of Hurricane Katrina, the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant incident, as well as operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force on the Horn of Africa.

When operating in Afghanistan, the U-2 photographed the entire country every 90 days and Department of Defense units used OBC images to plan operations.

“All U-2 pilots will retain the knowledge and skills to employ the sensor in a variety of mission sets and operating locations to meet the priority intelligence collection needs of geographic combatant commanders according to the task,” Gaiser said. "With a growing need for more diverse collection requirements, the U-2 program will evolve to maintain combat relevance with a variety of C5ISR-T features and combat air force integration functions."

The end of the OBC in Beale allows mission units and partners to focus a greater burden of effort on emerging capabilities, tactics, techniques and procedures, as well as employment concepts that directly support sets of rhythm threat problems to advance the general mission of the 9th Reconnaissance Wing.

Pearls & Promises - Farah/Luna

 Farah smiles at the sight of Luna, her fingers nervously toying with the same string of pearls she always wore, shy, even as she kept the date, her eyes dancing with fears that make Farah step closer, reach slowly forward, then pull, curling Luna safely into her arms. “Welcome home Love.” It's a whisper but Farah’s smile is pure and Luna finds she swoons just slightly at it. She’s used to harsh or angry but with Farah it is soft and sweet and warm, loving. She’s safe here, warm and confident and she relaxes with each small stroke of fingers over her back. She’s safe and finally truly home. She sighs when she sees her gift later, Farah’s gentle touch settling her even as she allows Farah to change the pearls, the old set discarded, a remnant of his power, the new freeing her even more as she waits and relaxes into her lover’s touch all over again. Stolen Shirts (Suit You) - Alex Cabot/Casey Novak

Warnings: Hinted smut but none shown Summary: Alex and Casey face another day in court, Casey stealing Alex’s shirt for a little more confidence. Written to fill the free space in @sweetprentiss​ ‘s Spring Has Sprung Celebration Bingo.

“Are you wearing my shirt?” 

Alex is almost smirking at the sight of Casey’s shirt, far too long, hanging over the top of her skirt, moving to help her tuck it in. Her voice soft and light as she spoke.

“You know I actually have some shorter than this…”

“They don’t…”

Casey’s words dry up and she sighs, shrugging a little.

“I prefer this one.”

Alex smiles slightly then, leaning down to kiss her softly, stroking hair behind Casey’s ear, smiling when Casey blushes a little. Casey had always been a little nervous about coming back to work and if stealing a shirt made her happy then it was worth it.

“Go get them Case…”

She spoke softly. Stepping back to let Casey free, smiling when Casey moves away before moving to get dressed, preparing herself to follow Casey to the courts, she’d sit with the rest of the team, watch Casey at work, support her as much as possible.

She is quiet as she settles to watch Casey at work. She knew, too well, how tense Casey could get, especially now, but she was also sure Casey would do perfectly well. The day ends and Casey comes home with Alex. She had won but she felt like she’d been put through the ringer.

She’s quiet when she’s changed, Alex smiling as she also changes, the two settled to rest, Casey relaxing into Alex a little more when she starts to fall asleep, content simply to be with Alex. They face plenty of challenges, they have since the first time they met, and Alex smiles softly when Casey sighs happily.

“You are amazing Case…”

“Stop it…”

Alex smiles then, letting it go and choosing instead to just settle into the warmth of Casey’s closeness, curling her arms around Casey when she shifts into her lap, nestling into Alex’s neck with a huffed sigh.

“Do I at least get to take you to bed?”

Alex teased, grinning when Casey rolled her eyes and sighed.

“Alex Cabot, sex fiend.”

She teases softly, her voice gentle.

“Fine… but you’ll keep those hands to yourself unless I say otherwise… right?”

“Of course.”

Casey’s smile is softer as she stands, leading Alex through to the bedroom, noting how tightly Alex held onto her hand. She knew why but she never once complained. Alex needing to feel safe tended to lead to tight hugs and sweet lovemaking, it wasn���t too hard to believe she was okay that way. Casey never once complained. She liked being held, held tightly to Alex, she definitely loved the way Alex looked at her like she couldn’t stand to lose her, even when she was shy or sore or just needing a little more TLC than usual.

They settle easily, of course. Alex behaving herself but clearly missing the body contact even as they change for bed, one more change of clothes in a long day. Casey curls into herself when she settles, smiling when Alex settles beside her before finally giving in and rolling to kiss her deeply.

“I love you Alex.”

The Nightmare - Alex Cabot/Casey Novak

It starts when Casey wakes to Alex shaking, almost whining with the fear running through her. She’s used to this, the pain, the panic, the misery of Alex’s whines, but this time she waits, knowing she has to let Alex work her way through. Casey moves all the same to settle at Alex’s side, waiting for her to wake, which she does soon enough. Alex half-bolts upright, then sinks back with a choking sigh. She hates these nights, but she can’t help being thankful for Casey watching over her. “C’mere…” The word is soft and Alex sits up again slowly, her eyes locked on Casey, aching for warmth but still unsure what Casey has planned. “I mean it ‘Lex… C’mere…” Alex hesitates and Casey sighs shifting to settle beside Alex in the bed properly, her voice softer this time. “C’mere, let me hold you…” Alex moves then, curling herself into Casey with a half-sob, burrowing her face into Casey’s neck, relaxing when Casey’s grip curls tightly around her, her breath coming out as a huffed sigh. “M'sorry…” “For what? Needing a little tenderness?” Casey murmurs softly, running soft fingers through Alex’s hair. “I told you ‘Lex… I’m here whatever you need, never apologize.” Her voice softens as she murmurs a softer… “I’ll always be here.”

List 3-10 things in nature you find amazing.   How big and deep the ocean is and how little we’ve explored of it. Stretches upon stretches upon stretches of vast land that’s just completely filled with trees. How ecosystems can be formed inside a jar.

When was the last time you sat in front of a campfire? 🔥🪵   I’m not sure. You’ll never find those here given how hot it is. I think the first and last time was in 2008 when we had overnight thing in school and we built a campfire so we can roast marshmallows just like what we’d see in movies and cartoons.

What is your favorite campfire song, and why is it your favorite? 🔥🪵   I don’t even know any. I just know The Campfire Song Song from Spongebob, and I’d say that’s very catchy. I’d still sing it every now and then. It’ll help if you just sing along!

When was the last time you had a deep conversation with someone, and who was it with?   Sometime last week, with Celeste.

List three ways in which you are sensitive.   I’m very protective of certain socio-political opinions, like please don’t be a raging racist or homophobe around me (impossible with Filipino boomers).

I am quick to take things personally, so I think it’s bullshit when people excuse their mean words as being ‘in the heat of the moment’ - no, you mean exactly what you say *especially* when you’re angry.

Goes without saying but I am also extremely protective of BTS knowing their background, their rough way up, and things they’ve had to endure in silence.

How many brothers do you have?   One.

Are you faithful in a relationship?   Yes.

What is your favorite thing to daydream about and/or what is it that you daydream about the most?   Traveling the world.

Would you describe yourself as passionate?   Yes, but I also don’t force passion. I hate half-assing anything I care about, but at the same time, if I know that I’m really not feeling something then I wouldn’t pretend to like it either.

What are you the most passionate about?   These days, my job. It exhausts me but it doesn’t stop me from wanting to be good at it.

What was the name of one of your childhood imaginary friends?   Katrina.

Do you think you are crazy? 😜   ^ I mean I’m definitely not denying that lol.

What are three ways in which you are blessed?   I try to avoid using that word because it has a strong religious connotation.

What are three trends from the 90's that you took part in and enjoyed?   I was barely alive in the 90s haha, but some 90s comeback trends that I like these days are high-waist jeans, baggy cargo trousers/pants, and athleisure. What is one thing you've moved on from?   My high school group of friends. I’m on friendly terms with 99% of them still (we even saw each other at one of my recent events!), but I’ve long accepted that my dynamic with them will never be the same as it used to be. You grow apart from certain people, and that’s okay.

What is one thing, if anything, that you still need to move on from?  I don’t think in these terms. If I’m not able to move on from something, I’d never be in a rush to get to that point already. If my feelings want to continue simmering I’d just simply let them be.

Which do you think is better: the real world that you live in, or the life that you daydream about?   The latter, I guess. Reality will never be 100% nice to you and a picture-perfect life is something I get to enjoy in my daydreams.

What group of people do you feel like you fit in with the most?   Low-maintenance people, BY A MILE. My college group and best friends all fit into this category and that’s why I love them to bits. I can have a good time with them regardless if we’re having cheap street food at a sidewalk, staying at a run-down hotel, or catching up at a fancier bar.

I realized this all the more when I went on vacation with my work friends and I witnessed them gradually go crazy just because the power went out at our hostel. All it took was an hour, and they decided This Wasn’t It and we packed our bags and canceled the rest of our booking so we can stay at a hotel with aircon. It drove me fucking wild. I’d never experience that with my irl friends; in fact a power outage would’ve been 100% all the more reason for us to make something fun and memorable out of the trip.

Where is one place you've been in which you didn't feel like you fit in at all?   My first school.

What is one song that motivates you?   Snooze by Yoongi, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and The Rose’s Woosung.

Do you prefer milk chocolate or dark chocolate? 🍫   Milk.

What are three of your favorite songs to sing when you're by yourself?  BTS has a ridiculously solid Japanese discography, considering they’re a Korean group. I’d never skip out on the chance to sing along to Crystal Snow, Your Eyes Tell, and Film Out. I feel like in general Japanese is also easier to memorize and pronounce, so that’s maybe why I enjoy their Japanese songs so much.

Would you describe yourself as a wallflower?   Not so much. I like going around and striking up conversations.

Do you smile at strangers?   No, not really practiced here.

Do you sing in the shower? 🚿   Very occasionally.

Do you prefer to take showers or baths? 🛀   Showers.

What are three little things in life that you enjoy?   Continued from the last weekend. Hitting all the green lights when driving, work meetings getting postponed to a later date, and seeing my dogs do the tricks they know. :D

If you could pick any three foreign countries to visit and explore, which three would you pick, and why? ✈️ 🌎   India, Norway, and Bhutan. All of them just seem to be vastly different from my own country, so it’d be a nice change of scenery and pace.

Do you feel you can honestly say that Jesus saved your life?   No.

What are three pleasant surprises that you enjoy?   Seeing old friends, like people from high school, somewhere random; Waking up, checking the time, and seeing I have 1-1.5 hrs left to continue sleeping before getting up for work (BEST); Anticipating really bad traffic only for it to turn out moderate or nonexistent.

How often do you wear your hair in a bun?   Almost never now. My baby hairs are super annoying and wearing a bun in all my hair’s frizzy glory makes me look 20 years older. I just do a low pony like what’s trending now.

True or false: Normal is boring.   Ugh, enough of this. “I’m not like other people” has become more boring than normal. Let people like mainstream or mundane stuff!

What are three ways in which you would describe yourself as "normal"?  I like a lot of mainstream things, like pop music and BTS; I work a very stereotypical, corporate, 9-6 job; Idk if this last one counts as normal but I like staying in and don’t feel FOMO when I’m not drinking on a Friday or weekend.

...and what are three ways in which you would say you are not normal?   I would rather cut people off than forgive; I take work more seriously than I should (the amount of times I get, “You’re not even the heir to this company, calm down” from my bosses, LOL); I hate fruits.

What would you say is the best thing about your life right now?   I’M SAVING MONEY. OMG like it’s something I’m so genuinely proud of and happy about hehehe. My self-control has improved a lot and it’s just great to see the effects actually come to life!

Do you still get excited about your birthday? 🥳   Yes. Weirdly enough, I’ve gotten more excited about my birthday the older I get, which I know is the opposite from what others may feel. My childhood birthdays were very uneventful due to financial limitations we had at the time, so these days I like to go all out and treat everyone with food enough for an entire village especially since I can afford to do it myself now.

What is one book that you've read over and over again multiple times, because you liked it so much? 📖   Twilight, hahah. I know I know it’s a ‘bad’ book, but me being a fan just overtakes everything at the end of the day.

Would you say are generally a quiet person, a loud person, or in-between? I’m an in-between that largely leans towards being loud. I’m only quiet when I’m hungry and tired, or when I’m surrounded by people I don’t 100% vibe with. What are three of your favorite ways to help people?   I let them rant to me and I always try to match their energy, whether they’re angry, exhausted, excited, etc; I share posts when someone needs crowdfunding/donations, or when someone posts a poster of their lost pet; I offer to drive people home even if it’s ridiculously out of the way for me.

What type of volunteer work do you enjoy doing the most?   I haven’t done any volunteer work, but if I get the chance, I will pick an animal shelter/rescue org.

What is one song that you've been listening to on repeat lately?   Seven by Jungkook and Latto.

Do you eat healthy? 🥗   Not actively, but I won’t skip out on it. Filipino cuisine is also, in many ways, healthy (we looooooove veggies in our food), so I feel like healthy eating is already kind of naturally part of my diet.

When was the last time you ate a salad? 🥗   I had a garden salad in May.

Would you say you mostly live inside your head?   No.

Eiffel 65's greatest hit caused me to reminiscence about the 90's. The latter period remains something to strive for in a multitude of terms despite the fact the era was not as great as many profiled that to be. However, the musical diversity in the mainstream then does surprise us, though you can understand after a long deliberation why the certain tunes succeeded. Natalie Imbruglia's song on the link, for instance, is a cocktail of a vast array of trends, which were prevalent during the time. You have a bit of an acoustic soundscape, mixed with some electronic elements that remind us of trip hop, had the latter been more positive, but I think Mrs. Imbruglia's vocals might be the key to the success. She expresses a field between the several conflicting emotions without a resolve.

But what love lives for real? They never fully developed none of them for them to have a real love life.

Ami- Ryo Urawa was only in two episodes (27&41) and never heard of again. ( Anime Only) The second most developed Anime Only Character besides Yuuichirou but still under developed. Shingo had a crush on her in SuperS before that was his last appearance in the whole series.(144) ( And Ami first love...)

Mina- Had a crush on Alan which we found out in her backstory episode(42) but was never heard of again .Also the fact he was dating Katrina. Then had another crush Asai, in episode 100 who found out that she was Venus when she saved him but was never heard of again. ( Both Anime Only)

I guess you count when she chase after Haruka a whole episode.

When she trying to date Tiger Eye and Hawk Eye in one episode.

When her and Mako was trying to get the attention of a kindergarten teacher Mr.Honjo ( who had a child so single father or married but an damn adult they had a crush on) who was never heard of again. (154)

Of course her acting like a groupie with the Starlights...

Mako- Senpai Senpai! Her Senpai which was mentioned in her first episode( 23) and episode 49. Crane Game Joe who look like her old senpai and was in her first episode but was never heard of again. Shinozaki which was her friend she gave the blood transfusion to in episode 49 which he wasn't her boyfriend but he was never heard of again. She developed a crush on Ail/Seijuurou episode 55 but that didn't go anywhere since he wanted Usagi.

Of course Tiger Eye going after her.

Rei- Her dating Mamo in season one for a few episodes' which most def fizzed out once we found out the truth. Yuuichirou had a major crush on her but that never got fully developed and she never told her feelings. Which his last appearance in the whole series was episode 136 in SuperS. He is the longest one being from season one until season four. Also being the only anime only character with the most development but still under developed.

Usagi,Mina,and Mako all had a crush on Motoki.

The only one that had a fully "developed" love story aka realtionship was Usagi.

The 90's anime had the girls having guys that could have been developed for them only lasting one or two episodes before never been heard of again.

Then you have them screaming "I want a boyfriend" most of the time and then being groupies to the Starlights in StarS.
