Books and tables decorated the highest upper floor of the library, making small corners which one could hide in. It had a soothing feeling, quietness calming and not lonely. Warm colors painted over walls and curtains, sun shining through the fabric. It was a place for other worlds and thoughts, a place where you could forget the dull world and its ache. Jongin huffed out as he turned a page, dark looks covering his forehead and eyes turning honey as sunrays kissed them. He read word after word, not really taking in the meaning of them, instead basking in the room’s peace. That's until he heard a quiet sniffle, almost missing the soft sound from far away. His orbs left the text, searching for the one who had pain in their life, and he found them fast. By the table in the furthest corner, in their own world by someone else's words, sat a girl. Even from the distance Jongin was, could he see her eyes shimmer with tears. A strong want to help her made his book forgotten but he didn't go, realizing she was moved by a story of another, emotions flooding from the letters into her own. He too wanted to know the feeling of a mere text producing tears in his eyes. The strong connection which different souls could have through similar experiences. A question of the title and story lingered on his tongue, unbravery rooting him in his seat. 

Jongin watched her for a little while, learning how her face reacted to the sadness, eyebrows frowning slightly as eyes stayed open. Lips quivering when a part had practically much agony. And with a sigh did she close the book, wiping the tear that had fall because of an end. Jongin lowered his gaze fast, embarrassed for almost getting caught however as she made her way to put the book back, couldn't he help but look for its place so he too could read its story, feel another humans life and world. You left the library unaware of the boy who had been smitten by you the second you felt so much sadness. Jongin found the book and he too cried through its words, connecting to not only the story but you too. He felt someone else, he read someone else, and in that moment was his wish to move people like the author had moved the both of you.

Every Wednesday would he sit down by the fourth table from yours, to read, to watch, to argue. He wanted to speak with you, discuss the emotions and words of others, but fear of rejection had him choosing to just watch. Jongin found himself falling fast for you, blaming it all on the day he saw you smile. You had looked beautiful when you cried but it was nothing against your grin. The day had been dull and grey but as he sat down, hands holding a copy of the latest book you had read, sun broke through clouds. It seemed like the world came to life and for a minute could he merely wonder why, until you sat down, eyes following words as lips turned up. You felt giddy and Jongin was taken aback at you joyful expression, warmth of a summer day radiating from you in a late october day. 

He blushed slightly, groaning when you once again left the table, once again having let you go without saying his name. His fight with himself to get courage slowly turned to the want for you to look up, to notice him sitting by his own table. Maybe you would smile at him, maybe he would smile back, maybe you two would move your lips to connect. Jongin started to get afraid that it would never happen, that he would miss you when you walked by one last time. Seasons would turn and he pondered over if you would still be there when spring broke through the snow sky to kiss the world, to give life. He didn't want you to disappear, heart aching at the thought because he had a feeling of you from the stories you read, how you would bring him to different worlds and smile like either the moon or sun. He was risking much by his quietness but under the peeking bright star, he thanked you for the book recommendations.

In a week would break send students away, snow painting the world white. You would leave with them, leave Jongin. Nerves had been crashing in him for a whole week when Wednesday finally rolled around, hands shaking slightly as the heart in his chest hammered rapidly. This was his last chance to do something, to let you know he existed but as time went by and darkness fell outside the window, he still sat silent in his chair. Maybe you would come back, maybe you wouldn't, he could not know yet. 

It was with pure desperation he had stood up, lips pressing together tightly, and the sight of your cheeks slowly pulling up. Jongin made his way over to you, heart slowing down with every step, every breath. You noticed him for the first time in four months and he could see the confusion when your eyes met, orbs locking in paralysing feeling of flying for him. You lips reached the point of a smile, face inviting for him to relax. The boy took one last deep breath as he sat down, himself eye smiling, and the world came back with its normal pace, this time however was he sitting by you instead of far away. You put the book down and Jongin knew you were the one, in the moment were you the one for him. An ounce of courage slipped through his veins and he said his first words to you, asking about what started this rollercoaster.
