Genos didn't see the difference between Espers and Humans. Mainly because when he was told that his Sensei, the man he had idolized (note look up what idolization means for later) was not even to be human by society's standards - between Spirits, Quirks, Espers, Cyborgs like Genos himself he fails to see the difference.

Perhaps that could be a piece that bridges the gap between all the hate but Genos fails to see it - as of right now. But Tomoya - Saitama's son, helps Genos put the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle that's his feelings together... Also Genos can't help but gain some sort of strange emotions for this child that's not even his own.
