Izuku is beyond tired, today, and he doesn't want to let it show. He doesn't want to be weak, or a burden, or to fail the people around him.

But Aizawa-sensei notices. And Izuku allows himself to trust in that safety, partially if not fully, and it helps. It helps a lot. ~~~ "You don't have to talk to me if you don't want to, kiddo, but it seems like you're having a rough day. Chronic pain, or a rough night or something?" And Izuku hesitates at that, admittedly. It's impossible not to, with the earnest gleam to their hero's eyes, the way that he has slumped just enough to be about eye level with Izuku, leaning back against his podium, hands open, palm-up, resting against his thighs. It's open, safe, considerate.

Izuku doesn't want to lie to Aizawa-sensei, not when the man is so genuinely good to him, to the rest of the class. Not when he really seems to care about them all. (To even care about Izuku.)

Just some soft Eri, Izu and Dadzawa fluff~ --- Sticky fingers cleaned up, twenty minutes later, on their feet again, energy bubbling, Izuku lets Eri climb him, clambering up his hip, his shoulders, swinging briefly from his elbow to grab onto his back. Her occasional parkour lessons with Aizawa-sensei are very much showing.

Then she's wriggling back around to be hanging from the front of his shoulder, pressed against his chest, and Izuku can't help but grin down at her, looping an arm below her butt to keep her solidly in place,

"Hey, want to see your Dad?" There's a gleam of mischief to her then, a hint of her Dad's Cheshire grin,

"Yes!" And Izuku doesn't know it, but there's an edge of that same demented sharpness to his own expression as he beams at his teacher,

So, suffice to say that Shouto is aware of his use as a tall person. But one thing he had never considered it for before is affection. He has watched Midoriya and Uraraka clamber all over Iida for several months now. He has watched how Shinsou folds his arms atop the heads of Midoriya or Kaminari or, if he's in a particularly "shit-eating mood" he will lean atop Bakugou's head or shoulders to warrant a lot of explosions and yelling that most of the class seem to find hilarious. He has watched Yaoyorozu drape herself over Jirou in the most elegant of ways, humming along with whatever the shorter girl may be playing on her guitar.

In other words, he does understand that being tall can allow for certain types of affection. But he had not related that to himself.

Until now.

(Shouto doesn't know how to be a friend nor how to be affectionate, but he does know that he wants to try and dammit I love this soft, shy, awkward boy so very much-)
