Arashi has officially announced that they will end activities

Throughout my teenage years, I was told that J-pop was a phase. That my adoration for Arashi (and a few others like KAT-TUN...) would be fleeting. But Arashi, they helped me, they saved me, they are part of the safe haven groups that allowed me to have moments of joy during a complicated period.

Yes, the way I express my love for them has changed because I was a teenager and now I'm almost 30. But I still listen to them every day.

It wasn't a phase!

It's been at least 15 years since I discovered Arashi. They were my first dramas, my first drama OSTs, one of my first J-pop groups, my first Japanese actors, and so many other things. Even though the music industry (especially Johnny's) is a little better than before, they deserve to continue their own lives after all these years of loyal service.

Thank you, Arashi, for all these years, you'll continue to be my soul ❤️

Holy shit.

Arashi is coming out of hiatus for a year and are going to do a final farewell concert in Spring 2026.

I'm not as devastated as when they first announced their hiatus - I think because I had already accepted that they were likely never really going to come back. But this really is the end huh. There is absolutely no coming back.

Thank god I never left the fanclub omg, I have to ballot for tickets.

I'm so grateful to them though. These guys man, THESE GUYS. They couldn't give us the concert they wanted in 2020 cause of COVID so they're coming back to try again. Hnnngggggggggg. (I'm also slightly worried because it's gonna have been 5 years since they did a concert and um. Arashi concerts are a production. Please don't over-exert yourselves boys D=)

I'm just a mess right now to be honest. I was so nice to see all 5 of them again in a video, and I'm so thrilled they will be giving us regular content for the next year, but again... so sad that this is really "goodbye". But also totally okay with it because they're all 40+ and even back in 2020, all I wanted for them was to be able to rest and have more time to themselves, and now some of them have families and independent ventures they clearly want to pursue. Like heck I wanna retire at 40 (I won't be able to, but I have lots of time to magically win the lottery :D). But yeah. Like I said, just a bit of a mess right now.

i literally discovered so many things thanks to arashi and they truly were my happiness for many years. forever grateful for hana yori dango and matsumoto jun for making me discover them, my life would be a lot different without having known them. i wish nothing but the best for all of them and all us fans always
