Rite Here Rite Now is absolutely the best live concert recording I have ever seen.
The band was in peak form, and were performing at a very high level. That production though? Fuck. I've never heard a live show recorded, mixed, and mastered that fucking excellent before.
Magnificent.

I wonder if this is an Easter egg of something to come, or a reference to something. There is a band who made a song called Ghost in the Trees back in 2008.

Ghost has the first album curse, at least according to my personal tastes. Don't get me wrong, I love every album. I just don't think they'll ever top Opus Eponymous to my ears.

I really wish Tobias Forge would do a full album with that 60s reminiscent sound, he is so good at it.

One of the worst things is when you hear a singer that you really love, but the music does nothing for you. Or, on the flip side where the music is amazing, and the vocals are a complete turn off.

If you like Atmospheric Depressive Black Metal... oh buddy.
This is the best album I've heard all year, and two of my favorite bands had releases in August. And it's one of those solo projects, so they've had ten albums and tons of EPs in the last decade. I can't wait to dig into that.

Late to the dance here, but just heard "The Future is a Foreign Land" by Ghost last night.
....Fuck it wrecked me.

Why can't one have cheap hobbies? Like CDs of American pop bands, and big studio blurays?
But nooo. Imported vinyls of small European bands, and remastered b movies from boutique bluray shops it is.

People always tell me that I am very picky when it comes to music, which is an objectively true statement. I can't deny that. What I do object to is when the phrase "close-minded" comes into the equation.
In my personal collection alone I have over 600 bands/artists, spanning across many genres. To me, that says anything but close-minded. My ear may be very specific to what excites me, but it's very much open to anything. I just like to find things that bring something interesting to the genre they're preforming in. I don't want to listen to things that all sound the same, I want people who take what has been done and bring it to somewhere fresh.
Every day I am sampling so much new music, hoping to find that new subjective diamond in the rough.

Upon first listen, I must say that say Time I is better than Time II. Whether it is better than the first self-titled album is still up for debate, but it is better than The Forest Seasons. Although, I still like the track Loneliness more than any track on Time II. All that being said, still a phenomenal album, and I highly recommend it.

I've always loved how simple, but effective Scorpions are. They are the band that instantly come to mind when I hear the term "arena rock".
Their choruses are always so infectious, and just stick with you. The way Klaus sings too just amplifies it to infinity. Even Rock Believer off their newest album is so fucking simple, but that chorus just tears through you.

As a person who has over nine-hundred different artists in their personal collection (which I think is lower than it should be), I only have one suggestion.
Click play on every piece of music that comes across your view, that you have never heard before. Because frankly, you never know.
There are so many genres and subgenres I never thought I would have an interest in, but then comes one, two, a dozen people I very much enjoy.
And of course you've never heard of them before. You never heard of your favorite band, until you've finally heard them.

Hey, I haven't watched Twin Peaks all day. It's true.
Just put in these earplugs and don't look at the turntable, k?
