HACE frío. Bastante.

How to use your Granada Card
Before purchasing your card, please take note of the following and choose:-
The type of card suited to you
Your date for visiting the Alhambra ( except when choosing Granada City Card ) and the time slot for the entrance to the Nasrid palaces. Do remember that this time slot is fixed, you MUST be there on time or access can be denied. For the rest of the visit to the Generalife and Gardens, Alcazaba etc. you can take as long as you like. For more about the Alhambra visit check below.
The starting date for your card. The Granada Card starts on your chosen date which cannot be changed.
Once your purchase is completed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with “Print at Home” in an attachment. Without this you will be unable to make use of the services included or visit the Alhambra.
To visit the monuments you just need your “Print at Home” in paper version or on your smart phone. This gives you direct access without going through the box office.
If you do not receive the confirmation email, check your email, including the inbox and spam.
The confirmation email address is [email protected]
For use of the transport you need to collect your tickets in advance:
The Monuments
Entrance to the Royal Chapel is included in the Granada Card
Your Granada Card gives you access only once to each monument in your card type. Access is without booking in advance and within the opening hours and the validity of the card.
The exception to this is the Alhambra for which the day and time of visit must be selected on purchase.

Not included in the Granada Card: the visit to the Biodome and the Planetarium as they are not included in the general entrance ticket to the Science Park. Tickets for the Biodome cost an extra €2.50 and to the Planetarium an extra € 4 and must be purchased in advance at the museum’s ticket office.
Transport
City Bus
City Bus Granada by Николай Фирсов on Pixabay
The card allows you to make an unlimited amount of journeys within a 60 minute time limit and is valid for every day during the card’s validity. Tickets available in the bus ticket machines.
Tourist Train
Use the Tourist Train with your Granada Card. Photo on Flickr
One trip is included in each card. There is no hop on hop off service. Tickets can be obtained at train stops from the train driver.
The Alhambra
Visiting the Alhambra with a Granada Card
Your Granada Card permits only one visit to the Alhambra, on the day chosen on purchasing. The three areas included in your card are:
The Nasrid Palaces the main palace area, for which you must choose your time slot when purchasing your card. Remember that it is obligatory to visit at this time, failure to turn up at this time will probably lead to access being denied. This is because the amount of visitors at any one time is limited in the Nasrid Palaces for conservation purposes. Allow yourself at least 30 minutes to get from the entrance gate to the Palace entrance. Avoid taking large bags or back packs and note that there are no public conveniences in the Palaces, if you leave you cannot return.
The Alcazaba is the citadel fortress area. You may visit this whenever it suits you during you visit. Comfortable shoes recommended.
The Generalife Palace and Gardens: this was the summer palace and is renowned for its gardens and fountains. Again you can visit at any time on your chosen day. Before or after your time slot to the Nasrid Palaces.
The three areas have their own entrance gates and you will be required to show your ticket each time.
Opening times for the Alhambra
08.30 to 20.00 (from 1st April to 14th October)
08.30 to 18.00 (from 15th October to 31st March)
There are no guided tours as the Alhambra tickets do not include them, however, audio guides are available.
Also note that the Granada Card has its own quota of Alhambra passes so if you find that individual tickets are sold out you might find they’re still available with the Granada Card.
Buy your Granada Card here

8 Top Tips – A Local’s Guide to Granada
If you have to make a list of the best places to visit in Europe, Granada deserves a place on that list. I would better add to it that one must visit Granada, at least once in his life if not more. The city is spread across the scintillating valleys of the Sierra Nevada mountains into a city which seems to be a bliss of flower culminating within the white snowy landscapes.
The spectacular views of natural landscapes are not the only things you get here, there is a lot more for your taking from the cultural, arts and architectural point of view as well. And yes, do not forget the lovely people of these attractive locales whom you would fall in love without a doubt. In case you find yourself attracted to the place, you should not waste time anymore and avail the best flight offers for Granda using the Lufthansa UK Discount Code. In case you are the first time traveller to Spain, you can get the best of the tips on what you should be doing in Granada.
Get the Views of Sierra Nevada
Tumblr media
The Sierra Nevada mountain range has two of the highest mountains in the country. Being at altitude, the place offers some mind-blowing views that you can enjoy up from the top. It takes less than one hour to reach the place from the city of Granada. These mountainous terrains offer one of the most spectacular natural parks of the country. The hilly expansive terrains provide a great place for trekkers, skiers and bikers to have adventurous outings. The wild inhabited place is a great reprieve from the daily routine of the city lifestyle. Here are some of the best travel deals for Granada you can avail for Canvas Holidays Spain Camping and enjoy this terrain at it’s surreal best.
Get Lost in the History of Albaicín
Tumblr media
This place is unlike any other in entire Europe and all for good reasons. The old Arabic quarters of Granada over here are thoroughly spread up to the Alhambra hillside. The beauty of the winding lanes with cobbled routes, houses with a cover of flowers on the seemingly endless plazas and the overall vibe of this place is beyond anything you could compare to. The only thing that can be rest assured is the joy of exploring this unique heritage place where time seems to have stopped.
Discover the Gypsy life at Sacromonte
Tumblr media
Sacromonte is one of the most unique cultural places of Europe known for its artistically blessed performers and the gipsy community which lives on the hillside above the Albacin. Here, locals live in dappled caves carved into the cacti-strewn hillside, while even more rustic dwellings are improvised from scrap metal, cloth and wood. Its best hangout is Bar Pibe, which has a lovely terrace overlooking the Alhambra.
Enjoy the Sunset at Abadía del Sacromonte
Tumblr media
This beautiful 17th-century abbey (now abandoned) can be visited for about four euros, but if you come up here make sure you finish the tour before sunset. From the little stone wall at the end of the courtyard you look straight down the Darro Valley and see Granada spilling out from between its verdant banks, while on your left, the mighty Alhambra rises out of the dense forest beneath.
Get the View from Plaza San Nicolás
Tumblr media
The views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada mountains from Albaicín’s Plaza San Nicolás are some of the most humbling in Granada. A local gipsy flamenco band is often found performing here, providing the perfect soundtrack to the awesome perspective. Their repertoire features an energetic version of the Gipsy Kings classic ‘Bamboleo’. You can check out the online hotel discounts at Ferrer Hotels Voucher Code or Pestana Voucher Code for best deals on hotels to ensure maximum savings on your stay.
Get Mesmerized by Alhambra
Tumblr media
The Alhambra fortress is the greatest surviving relic of Andalusia’s 800 years under Moorish rule. Built between the 8th and 15th centuries, this incredible fort-palace complex sits forbiddingly atop the Darro Valley, against a dramatic backdrop provided by the crisp peaks of the Sierra Nevada. Tickets can be hard to get ahold of, so book well in advance.
Relax at the Carmen de los Martires
Tumblr media
It’s a five-minute stroll to some of the prettiest and most romantic gardens in Granada. The Carmen de Los Martires green space is particularly beautiful in the spring when its many flowerbeds are at their best and when the lush overhanging trees provide plenty of shade from the sun. There is also a tranquil pond that’s home to some friendly ducks and, at its centre, a little turret straight out of a fairytale.
Flamenco
Tumblr media
Granada has one of the strongest flamenco heritages in southern Spain and was the hometown of Enrique Morente, said by many aficionados to be one of the art’s modern greats. You can’t help but come into contact with this passionate, complex art here: it is performed in the streets and squares and drifts from hidden gardens in Albaicin and the caves of Sacromonte.
You can check out the luxury hotels at the cheapest price with the Dream Place Hotels Discount or check out premium accommodations on budget using the Hotels Viva Discount Code. So forget by the limit of expenditures and lose yourself in the impeccable Andalusian city, Granada.
