Let's find out.
Almost every youth these days will swear and tell "I would do anything for my mum" - and they do this a lot that the phrase itself lost its value.
However, the question lingers - would you? It's easy to say things but when you are put in such a situation - that's when reality hits you. The story you are about to read is one of the most inspiring stories I have come across while studying and learning about the Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum.
I pray this story would encourage you to reconnect with your mother. Please do realize, there are a lot like us out there who will never have that opportunity again. So don't take this opportunity you have for granted. _____
This is a story about Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu and his mother (Umayma Bint Safeh) Radiyallahu Anha.
It is said that after Abu Huraira's mother entered Islam, whenever he would want to leave his house, he used to stand at the door of his mother's door and say: "Peace be upon you, O mother, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. "
His mother would then say: "And peace be upon you, and His Mercy and His Blessings,"
Abu Huraira would reply: "May Allah have mercy upon you as you brought me up when I was small."
She would reply: "May Allah have mercy upon you as you are dutiful to me as I am old." _____
Let that sink in.
Imagine, every day of your life when you are about to go out of the house - your mother will be there at your back either to just see you go safely, remind you of something or ask you for something - whatever it is, we will find them there.
And sadly, most of the time - a lot of us find this irritating especially when we are at that age where we would rather hang out with friends than with our own family.
But, look at our the sahabah were, and just see how Abu Huraira manifested this way of respect and love a child should show towards his or her mother.
Would you do this?
Would you say this beautiful prayer before leaving your mother or just stomp your feet because she nagged you as you went out?
My dear brother and sister in Islam, no one can ever replace your mother in your life. No one can sacrifice the way they do and do for you. No one can truly love you unconditionally the way they do.
Make du'a for your mother. Make du'a for your mother. Make du'a for your mother. There's no weakness in showing affection towards your mother rather only a great reward from Allah.
Cherish every minute you have with your mother as much as you can, do not wait until they return to Allah and regret every wasted moment and missed opportunity with her.
You can also try this beautiful way of Abu Huraira Radiyallahu Anhu. Believe me, the way your mother's face will light up as soon as she sees you smile at her - that itself is a great blessing and all worth it. - Umm Umar Khaled _____
May Allah beautify our relationship with our mothers and grant all the mothers of the Muslims the highest ranks of Jannah.
The story was taken from Al-Adab al-Mufrad, Hadith 12

Finding Focus in Prayer: Overcoming Doubts with Sujood al-Sahu

Abu Huraira reported that the prophet Muhammad (saw) said: “Verily, there are ninety nine names of Allah and whoever preserves them will enter Paradise.”
But this is only one of the virtues of learning the names of the Exalted; memorizing and understanding the meaning of each name will help a person develop a stronger connection with their Creator when they realize the depth of the Creator’s attributes -- the true denotation of mercy, richness, ownership, and size. These meanings can come in handy when a person is facing a struggle and forgets who to turn to first for help. These names can also be used in prayers. For instance, for every situation, there is a name for it. Most importantly, knowledge attained with the right intentions increases wisdom, and wisdom enhances a person’s character. Knowledge about the creator will instill a love, awe, and veneration in the heart, contribute to richness in soul, and generate a higher consciousness and wisdom of the world. It will benefit the person both in this life and in the hereafter.
Remember: the best learning is done with others and with consistency. Even if you learn slowly, let each meaning soak in and become a part of your life. Also, if you have someone to share the knowledge with, share it. That is always better.
Start with the dua’a “Rabbii Zidni Ilman.” May Allah bless your journey and soften your heart and grant you contentment in this life and the next. All the best <3

Region 12, BARMM receive AstraZeneca vaccines
#PHnews: Region 12, BARMM receive AstraZeneca vaccines
AWANG, AIRPORT, Maguindanao – The first batch of anti-coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) AstraZeneca vaccines intended for medical front-liners of Region 12 (Soccsksargen) and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao arrived here Wednesday via a Philippine Airlines flight from Manila. The vaccine doses form part of a large AstraZeneca anti-Covid-19 vaccine delivery in Manila last week, as committed by the COVAX Facility to the Philippines. Arjohn Gangoso, speaking for the Department of Health-12, said a total of 3,500 vials good for 10 doses each, arrived for the region’s health workers. “These vaccines will immediately be delivered to our health workers in Region 12,” Gangoso said. On the other hand, the BARMM received 600 vials for 10 doses each or 6,000 doses intended for the 3,000 health workers in Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur. “Each health worker is bound to receive an initial dose and a follow-up dose after 28 days,” Ministry of Health Minister Dr. Amirel Usman told the Philippine News Agency in a phone interview. A separate 4,000 doses for the BARMM island-provinces of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will be delivered via Zamboanga City, Usman added. Last week, the initial delivery of 17, 940, and 4,200 vials of the China-made Sinovac vaccines also arrived here for health workers in both regions. Andrew Morris, the chief of the United Children’s Fund–Mindanao field office, said the COVAX Facility is an international partnership established to ensure equitable distribution of Covid-19 vaccines around the world. The Philippines is among the first countries in Southeast Asia to receive vaccines from the COVAX Facility. Meanwhile, Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Abuhuraira Udasan issued a religious guideline dated March 6 emphasizing that vaccines are for healing and are generally lawful as a preventive measure. “On the issue of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine, it is the Health Authority that has the final decision whether it is safe to get vaccinated or not,” Udasan said. Muslims to start fasting for Ramadan
Muslims to start fasting for Ramadan
DAVAO CITY – Muslims in the National Capital Region (NCR) and other parts of the country will start fasting on Saturday after a local cleric claimed to have seen the first crescent moon on Friday.
Alem Said Ahmad Basher, an NCR-based cleric, said in a Facebook live that he saw the crescent moon using a telescope during the moonsighting at Manila Bay.
The Manila Bay moonsighting was said to have been organized in cooperation with the Imam Council of the Philippines and the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos - NCR.
However, in Cotabato City, Mufti Abuhuraira Udasan of the Regional Darul Ifta of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao announced at 8:05 p.m. on April 1 that the fasting for the region's over 4 million inhabitants will start on Sunday. This, after Udasan failed to see the first hilal or the first visible crescent moon after the new moon.
Udasan and his team went to the PC Hill, a popular vantage point in the city, to watch for the moon but he said he and the others failed to see it.
National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Secretary Guiling Mamondiong had echoed Udasan's declaration.
As in the previous years, Filipino Muslims would also start fasting on different dates this year as they depend on local clerics to make the declaration.
Fasting during the month of Ramadan is among the five pillars of Islam and is prescribed for able-bodied Muslims.
Muslims would fast every day for about 30 days by eating before dawn. During the daytime, they would skip food, liquid and other bodily desires. They are also expected to perform the mandatory five times a day prayer and the supplementary prayers when they are able, along with reciting verses from the Koran. The fast is only broken after sunset. (Allan Nawal/PNA)

4.2K healthcare workers in BARMM to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
#PHinfo: 4.2K healthcare workers in BARMM to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
MARAWI CITY, Mar. 12 — All of Bangsamoro region’s more than 4,000 frontline healthcare workers will receive complete doses of vaccines against Covid-19, a regional health official said.
Health Minister Dr. Amirel Usman said 4,200 healthcare workers across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) are the first to start receiving the two doses of vaccine jabs this month.
The second dose, Usman added, will be inoculated after four weeks to fully reinforce the protection in the first vaccine shot.
  18,000 vaccines
In the past two weeks, more than 18,000 doses of AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines have arrived at Awang Airport in Datu Odin Sinsuat for Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur medical workers, and in Zamboanga International Airport in Zamboanga City for Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi medical workers.
These doses are for 1,400 medical workers in Maguindanao, 972 in Lanao del Sur, 234 in Basilan, 1,032 for Sulu, and 562 in Tawi-Tawi. Last week, medical workers from Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur started receiving their first vaccination jab.
On Thursday, March 11, 6000 vaccines arrived in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi and in Jolo, Sulu.
Tawi-Tawi received 1,212 doses of Sinovac and 1,010 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines, while Sulu received 2,360 doses of Sinovac and 2,080 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines. The allocation was based on the master list submitted by each province.
Basilan will receive its vaccines on Monday, March 15, and will start its rollout on the same day.
  Other priority groups
The BARMM has drafted its Deployment and Vaccination Plan — a blueprint that will guide the regional government in the delivery, storage, distribution, and deployment of vaccines.
Deputy Health Minister Dr. Zul Qarneyn Abas said priority groups will receive doses of vaccines after healthcare workers will be immunized.
In the plan, Abas said there are three (3) priority eligible groups for the vaccine’s distribution and deployment.
Group A includes all frontline health workers from public and private health facilities, and frontline workers from the ministries of social services, education, and local government.
Also included in the first group are frontline workers from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Bureau of Corrections, as well as indigent senior citizens, remaining senior citizens, remaining indigent population, and uniformed personnel from the police, army, coast guard, and fire service.
Meanwhile, group B consists of teachers, social workers, other BARMM government workers, other essential workers outside health, education, social welfare sectors (e.g. agriculture, food, industry, transportation, tourism, manufacturing, construction, among others), socio-demographic groups at significantly higher risk (PWDs, Bangsamoro living in high-density areas), overseas Filipino workers, and other remaining workforce.
All remaining Bangsamoro population not included above shall be in the last group.
  ‘Halal’ vaccine
The Bangsamoro Darul Ifta, being the Bangsamoro Government’s Islamic advisory body, released the religious guideline number 25 in early March about the Covid-19 vaccine.
The guideline, signed by Bangsamoro Mufti Abuhuraira Udasan, reads “The Darul Ifta of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) sees that the vaccine for healing and preventive measure, in general, is lawful (Halal)…” (Bangsamoro Information Office)

Truly Allah (SWT) is who you must rely upon
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakahtuhu, hope your all in good health and imaan.
Judging from this title you can tell what it can be about. Many people put there trust and happiness solely on people who may one day get up and go, i can sit here and give you stories on this but i wont as it wont benefit you anyway shape or form, Allah does not see what you look like, what dress you are wearing, what styles you have, how many followers you got, simply Allah sees the heart and actions you show and present.  Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather he looks at your hearts and actions.”
So my brothers and sisters be good muslim, always remember Allah is watching, whatever situation you are in good or bad Allah will make it better. That is why have and put trust in Allah (SWT) he will make everything better, He has power to do everything, only He will guide you to the right decision inshallah. Come closer to Allah inshallah only then you will see the benefits he shows upon us
Ameen!
this is just a short writing that has been running through my mind.

PRRD kissing the ground in Jolo ‘utmost humility’: BARMM Mufti
#PHnews: PRRD kissing the ground in Jolo ‘utmost humility’: BARMM Mufti
COTABATO CITY – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Grand Mufti Abuhuraira Udasan sees nothing with President Rodrigo Duterte kissing the ground at the blast site in Jolo, Sulu, describing it as an “utmost sign of humility.” “Humility knows no boundaries or religious affiliations, whatsoever, it comes from the heart,” Udasan told the Philippine News Agency in a phone interview Tuesday. On Aug. 24, twin explosions rocked downtown Jolo that were believed to have been carried out by suicide bombers affiliated with the terrorist Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG). The bombings killed 17 people, including government soldiers, and wounded 75 others. President Rodrigo Duterte visited the Jolo blast site on Sunday and kissed the ground, eliciting various reactions on social media. “We see nothing wrong with it as the gesture of the President emanates from within himself,” Udasan said. Anwar Kuit Emblawa, secretary of Mayor Marop Ampatuan of Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao, echoed Udasan’s views, saying the President’s gesture was "heartfelt and unquestionable." “You could see how the President’s deep respect and love to his people, including the soldiers who died defending freedom from the claws of the ASG in Sulu,” Emblawa said. “If you kiss the ground of any place, it means that you really love the place, and dying for it is absolute. This is what President Duterte’s action imparted during his Jolo visit,” he added. Emblawa said the President’s ground-kissing expresses his deep sadness over the lives lost in the incident due to the desperate attacks of the ASG terrorists. (PNA)

Darul Ifta lifts suspension of BARMM congregational prayers
#PHnews: Darul Ifta lifts suspension of BARMM congregational prayers
COTABATO CITY – The Darul Ifta (House of Opinion) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is now allowing prayer gatherings in mosques, provided that health protocols under the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) are observed. This came about after Grand Mufti Abuhuraira Udasan issued a statement Monday for the lifting of the temporary suspension of congregational prayers in the region for the next 15 days. “Pursuant to Resolution No. 40, dated 27th of May 2020 of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) which placed BARMM under MGCQ, the (regional) Darul Ifta hereby declares the lifting of the temporary suspension of the Friday and other congregational prayers in mosques from June 1-15,” Udasan said. Udasan clarified, however, that preventive measures against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) have to be strictly complied with by the Islam faithful. “The (Covid-19) pandemic still exists around,” the religious leader said. He said that under MGCQ, only 50 percent of the mosques’ capacity is allowed every prayer with the safe physical distancing of at least one meter apart must be maintained. Proper wearing of face masks must be instituted, as alcohol and hand sanitizers must be availed at the mosques’ entrances, he said. Udasan said every worshipper is required to bring his or her own “sajadah” (prayer mat) with only 20 minutes allotted for ordinary prayers, and 30 minutes for the Jum’ah or main congregational prayer held on Friday noontime. As soon as the prayer is over, everyone has to vacate the mosque to give way for its standard disinfection and sanitation, he said, adding that worshippers who are not feeling well are advised to perform their prayers at home. (PNA)
