I saw that agent 18s admin will no longer be acting on the QSMP and i sincerely hope they know how loved their characters were and the irreplaceable energy they bought to each role lighting up every moment they were in. They were able to create such dynamic fun and genuinely surprisingly lifelike characters with undeniable charm, overflowing with wit IN TWO LANGUAGES NONETHELESS. I hope they're proud of the work they did and that good opportunities are coming their way as it's more than deserved. Their fantastic rp wont be forgotten anytime soon.

SO happy that Agent 18 decided to sit down with Phil and set the record straight. He’s not the villain here. They both just want to protect their people, albeit on opposing sides. And while I know *Phil* knows that, not everyone who watches his POV seem realize that

They’re both very interesting characters because they’re so similar to one another. Both Agent 18 and Phil are protectors and care deeply about their friends. And when their friends get hurt or they can’t protect them??? They take that to heart and they blame themselves. They’re self sacrificial losers who keep being forced into leadership or authority positions they don’t want because all they want is their friends to be safe.

And yet they’re protecting different groups of people. Agent 18 protects the workers and the Federation while Phil protects the residents and the eggs. And they’re both so fiercely loyal and aggressive towards anyone who would threaten those people. So despite being so incredibly similar to each other, they’re constantly at odds because they want the same thing, but in different ways.

When Phil protected Luffy, it’s seen as protecting the same people who brutally murdered 18’s friend who went to retrieve them from Purgatory, or the friend that died trying to stop Dark Cucurucho and its workers from taking Luffy away. But when Agent 18 tries to take Luffy back to the Feds to protect his friends, it’s seen as getting the residents hurt and harming an innocent. NEITHER OF THEM ARE COMPLETELY IN THE RIGHT OR THE WRONG!!!!

The fact that both are in such similar roles and on opposing sides naturally leads them to fixating on each other as the personification of an obstacle standing in the way of what they’re trying to accomplish. At the very least, that’s the case for Agent 18.

He tries so hard to get Phil to match the hatred he puts forth but Phil only semi-dislikes him. He *wants* Phil to villainize him so that he has a reason to continue hating him.

They’re such interesting foils of one another and I look forward to seeing what happens with their characters.

Thinking about how Agent 18 is an absolute saint to Foolish but so snarky and provoking towards literally everyone else. It really puts into perspective just how special Foolish really is to him. Foolish was the first person outside other faceless workers that treated him like a person. Foolish considers his ideas and involves him in things. Agent 18 is treated like an equal even if Foolish does joke about him being a rookie from time to time.

Foolish showed him what love is, platonic or romantic depending on whose pov you interpret it through. Hell, Foolish didn't even force a name onto him like other islanders did for workers like Fred. He just calls him by his agent title, which is a nice compromise between his official name (WB18) and a silly "real" name. It humanizes him without pushing his boundaries.

Agent 18 loves Foolish more than some of the actual residents even seem to. It specifically shows in moments like the parallel between when people were celebrating Foolish's "death" after the nether trip and showing genuine disappointment when he came back vs. how Agent 18 was so relieved and emotional to see Foolish alive after he was trapped in his office and also Agent 18 going to leave flowers at his house when they thought Foolish was dead a second time due to purgatory.

You can argue the residents planning his funeral after the nether incident was a "joke" but if it was, it was a cruel one that no one ever apologized for meanwhile Agent 18 has ONLY shown concern and care for Foolish's well being.
