If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever faceclaim or whichever project you desire.

Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! This task can be tagged with whatever you want but if you want us to see it please be sure that our tag is the first five tags, @ mention us or send us a messaging linking us to your post!

Eleição presidencial simbólica na Síria deve dar quarto mandato a Bashar Al-Assad

As eleições presidenciais da Síria acontecem nesta quarta-feira, 26, com a certeza de que Bashar Al-Assad deve conquistar um quarto mandato consecutivo. Esse ano, ele está concorrendo com dois candidatos relativamente desconhecidos: o ex-ministro Abdallah Saloum Abdalla e o chefe da Frente Nacional Democrática, um pequeno partido de oposição sancionado pelo governo, Mahmoud Ahmed Marei. Pelo menos 48 aspirantes à presidência apresentaram pedidos de candidatura que foram rejeitados. A votação já foi classificada como ‘fraudulenta’ e ‘ilegítima’ pela Alemanha, Estados Unidos, França, Itália e Reino Unido, que pediram que o restante da comunidade internacional também rejeite o pleito. Em resposta às acusações, o presidente sírio se limitou a dizer que as críticas ocidentais “não têm nenhum valor” após deixar o seu voto na cidade de Duma, um antigo reduto insurgente que foi reconquistado pelo seu exército em abril de 2018. Também foi ali que as forças do governo teriam realizado um ataque com armas químicas contra os rebeldes.

Durante os 30 anos que governou a Síria, Hafez al-Assad foi visto com bons olhos pela comunidade internacional porque, apesar de liderar a nação com mão de ferro, combatia o fundamentalismo islâmico que é tão recorrente entre os países do Oriente Médio. Após a sua morte em 10 de junho de 2000, ele foi substituído pelo seu filho Bashar al-Assad, que durante uma década manteve a boa desenvoltura da Síria no jogo geopolítico.
