BIO: Born in 1994 in Genova, Italy to two Ukrainian immigrants. Veronica has found herself to be attracted to the world of art since an early age. interested in music, painting, sculpture, drawing and in the recent years; digital media. ​In 2017 she moved to Aberdeen in Scotland and started studying at gray's school of art in the contemporary art practice course. She started specialising in video, digital art, and installations. Her passion for sound art and electronic music has moved into a discovery of the art of vjing. After graduating in 2021 with First Class Honours she has moved to the city of Edinburgh to continue her art career. Veronica also freelances as a poster and cover art designer.

Veronica is part of the audiovisual duo mutomajor, of the creative collective PowerPot and Ukrainian events and radio Pentane Cast.

Artist statement: I am researching in-depth the issues of filters, selfies and social media curation on people’s psychology and self-esteem. I’m looking into selfie dysmorphia or also known as Snapchat dysmorphia, a psychological condition that causes an individual to prefer the “filtered” version of themselves.

I like to integrate aspects of club culture and underground electronic music which have become a huge part both of my life and my art practice. I want to merge the two together creating a 360º experience for the viewer with uses of vibrant videos and visuals, sound art and electronic music composition.

Corrupting and glitching files is an ongoing theme in my artwork, I want to continue to integrate that into my projects. Together with programs such as “TouchDesigner” I can add yet another layer of distortion to the piece. Through that type of node coding, I can change the reality of the artwork even more giving it another aesthetic and meaning.  Combining gifs and altering ready-made videos creates a digital surrealist re-elaboration of existing work. This “recycling” of video material brings a new life to files lost in cyberspace, giving them another opportunity to tell another story. I like to edit the videos I’ve corrupted and created in Premiere Pro, this gives me the opportunity to put together a narrative of these diverse clips.

With the addition of sound art, it creates an audio-visual experience for the viewer that will transport them into a digital world full of glitching colours and powerful images.

Bel Air has had a (fresh) prince since the ‘90s but now it looks like the swanky LA neighbourhood finally has a castle too! The castle in question is a 38,000-square foot mega mansion that’s been recently listed for a whopping $250 million which makes it the most expensive home in the US.

The plush pad has 12 bedrooms and 21 bathrooms so you’ll certainly won’t need a bathroom schedule here. Add to that three kitchens, a bowling alley, a movie theater, a candy room and an infinity pool featuring its own swim-up bar and your LA party paradise is complete. The property also includes a series of slick rides including a decommissioned helicopter from the 1980s-television show “Airwolf” which is parked on the roof, and a $30-million car collection. The home comes fully furnished and part of those furnishings are 100 art installations at different locations on the estate. The house is run by a 7 member staff whose wages for 2 years are already taken care of. The home is being sold by real estate developer Bruce Makowsky who is obviously courting only ultra-rich clientele with this property. “I wanted to redefine what super-high-end luxury homes are all about,” he said. “I wanted to break all the molds. The level of quality and attention to detail in this house is unsurpassed. And I wanted to create the greatest feeling that you can have being at home.” Don’t expect a standard 3 car garage. This home is outfitted with an “auto gallery” which will include 12 cars like the Pagani Huayra (worth over $2 million); the “Von Krieger” 1936 Mercedes 540 K Special Roadster, (worth more than $15 million) and 10 rare and fast motorcycles too. Makowsky also stated that the estate offers a 270-degree view that extends from Malibu to the San Gabriel Mountains.

Now this is what we call living in the lap of luxury!

Step Inside the Spendiest Home in the Land

What’s 38,000 square feet and comes with a gallery of exotic cars and a staff of seven? This $250-million listing in Bel Air, a luxury extravaganza that’s part resort, part 40-seat Dolby theater and part helipad. (Well, there isn’t a permit for the helipad, so it’s described instead as a rooftop art installation featuring a helicopter from the ’80s television series “Airwolf.”)

Fashion designer-turned-developer Bruce Makowsky, who sold a Beverly Hills spec home to Minecraft creator Markus Persson for $70 million, is upstaging himself by a wide margin here.

“It just reeks of quality and looks absolutely spectacular,” he told Bloomberg. “It gives you the feeling you can only get if you go to heaven.”

The aim is to “exceed the demands of the super wealthy,” according to a press release. “This home was curated for the ultimate billionaire who wants the best of everything that exists in life,” Makowsky said.

And how. The billionaire can feast on all the good things in three gourmet kitchens and five bars while lounging on 17,000 square feet of entertainment decks. When the gluttony is over, there’s a fitness center, a four-lane bowling alley and an 85-foot infinity pool to work it out.

The mega-mansion is filled with artwork, from Lamborghini wall clocks to a much-larger-than-life representation of a Leica camera. And let’s not forget the kids, who can revel by the wall of candy dispensers and play a champagne-themed pinball machine.

All of this grandeur sits in the hills above Los Angeles, offering expansive views from the 2017 power-wealth version of paradise.

If this home sells anywhere near its list price, it will handily break the record set by two $100-million sales last year - another L.A. mega-mansion, sold to an investor, and the Playboy Mansion, which first appeared on the market at $200 million.

The listing agents are Branden and Rayni Williams of Hilton & Hyland and Ben Bacal of Rodeo Realty.
