What a sap
Characters: Mian Zerkolo, Alec Desmont
Story: Brothers from other Mothers (but way into the future)
CW: none
WC: 240
A/N: I am not ashamed to admit the babygirl is completely unironic
Tumblr media
Mian barely dares to breath as Alec pins him against the wall, face so incredibly close to his own.
Alec's sword is buried in the wall only about an inch from his head, signifying Mian's complete and utter defeat.
"Do you yield?" Alec's voice is almost a purr, a smug grin on his face as he presses Mian against the wall harder.
"Mhm," Mian hums, nodding a little bit. He doesn't really trust his voice right now, not with his husband looking like that.
"Oh? What was that, babygirl? I didn't quite hear you."
"Y-yeah. I yield." Mian tries to look away, his face feeling incredibly warm, but Alec keeps him from doing so with a hand on his face.
"See? That wasn't so hard now, was it?" Alec's eyes gleam with satisfaction and smugness, squishing Mian's cheeks.
Mian just grumbles in response, weakly pushing against Alec's chest to 'push him away'. Alec, of course, reads Mian just fine, and leans his full body weight against him to keep him pinned.
The smug grin slowly fades, though, as he quietly studies Mian.
"Hey, babygirl?"
"Mm?"
"Can we kiss?"
Mian stares at his husband in surprise for a second before he softly smiles through the cheek squishing. What a sap. "Yeah, we can."
Alec brightly smiles at him as he finally lets his cheeks go, leaning in for a sweet, chaste kiss. "I love you, babygirl."
"I love you too, idiot."

What a sap

Rely on your friends
Characters: Mian Zerkolo, Rizurol Desmont, Alec Desmont
Story: Brothers from other Mothers
Warning: none
WC: 227
Tumblr media
"Mian, please, sit down," Alec pleads as he tugs on Mian's sleeve, not sure directly touching him is a good idea now.
"Alec is right, Mian, you need to sit down. There's nothing you can do about it right now." The fact that Rizurol is calling Mian by his name instead of title shows just how serious this is getting, and Alec feels his heart squeeze painfully.
"I- I have to! They're all relying on me, I can't just sit here and do nothing!" Mian pulls away from Alec, running his hands through his hair.
"You are doing something! Don't you remember? We taught them what we could, and Rizurol is feeding the spell right now!" Fuck it, Alec decides as he grabs Mian's hands. He's not letting him go.
"I'm still not doing anything, though! How- how can I let them-" Mian chokes on his own words, letting his head hang.
"You're not alone anymore, Mian. You've got others you can rely on. Sure, right now you can't do anything but wait, but you've helped them prepare, haven't you? And you're ready to help them through the aftermath. You're doing everything you can." Alec lets go of Mian's hands only to pull him into a tight hug. "Just trust us, okay? We've got it."
"... Promise?"
"I promise."
With a deep sigh, Mian finally sits down.

Almost there, but not yet
Tumblr media
A bit last minute, but here we go!
Characters: Mian Zerkolo, Alec Desmont, Rizurol Desmont
---
"We're as good as there," Mian mutters, his fingers twitching as he stares at the castle in the distance.
It's still at least a day's travel, but this is as close to home as he's been since that fateful day with the dragon.
Home…
Ayen… Hael… mother…
But also his father.
They're all there, thinking he's been dead for months.
A sigh behind him, and then arms wrap around his middle from behind, Alec resting his chin on his shoulder.
"Don't worry about it yet, okay?" His hand gently rubs Mian's stomach, helping him get rid of the knotted feeling in it. "We're almost there, but not yet. You don't have to think about any of that yet."
"It will be alright," Rizurol also chimes in, giving the two of them a gentle look. "Your siblings will be happy to see you again, my prince, and so will your mother." Xe doesn't say anything about his father, but xe doesn't have to.
They all know how he will react, and they all know what Mian must do.
But for now, he doesn't have to worry about challenging his father to a duel for the throne, or about disappointing anyone.
For now, he can simply be with his friend and the person who basically raised him.
