What was Alexander Hamilton's relationship like with the presidents he knew?

Hamilton was very close to George Washington, but had significant issues with John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison. And, in 1797, Hamilton very nearly fought a duel with James Monroe but, believe it or not, they avoided bloodshed because an acquaintance helped squashed their beef. Who helped broker the peace between Hamilton and Monroe? AARON BURR. History is amazing, isn't it?

(We can all admit that Alexander Hamilton's issues with...you know...basically EVERY Founding Father suggests that maybe HE was the issue, right? I'm an Aaron Burr Guy, so I might be biased, but where I come from if multiple people want to kill you, you are probably the problem.)
