Cozytober - Day 11 - Candles

Right, sit down, grab a drink, a couple of biscuits and get comfy because this is gonna be a long one.

I love watching and reading posts on what people got for Christmas, call me nosey? But I enjoy it so I thought I would do one too on all the lovely bits I received this year. I hope you enjoy having a little nose at what I got, and a lot of these presents are still available so you can still go grab them if you like the look of anything. Go treat yourself, or spend some Christmas money.

Right, let’s get into it.

First up let’s talk all things beauty. I got quite a few YouTuber bits this year from their usual and Christmas ranges. I got quite a few Tanya Burr products so I’ll start off with them.

This is from her Christmas range, the Beautifully defined palette is a beautiful bronze palette and my defiant favourite from her whole collections. It has a lovely powder highlighter in ‘Champagne Shimmer’, a golden bronze in the shade ‘Caramel Kiss’, and a tube of her new liquid highlighter in the shade ‘Beaming’. It also includes three lovely brown shades of eye shadow in the shades, from left, ‘Silky Pyjamas’, Cuddle Me’, and ‘Baking Brownies’. This is such a lovely palette to give you a golden glow.

The next palette I received was the Tanya Burr Pretty Unstoppable palette. This is a lovely warm palette containing, again a powder highlight in the shade ‘Champagne Shimmer’, a pinky blush on the shade ‘First Kiss’ and a lovely mini travel size matte liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Martha Moo’. This liquid lipstick is from her Soft Luxe line and was so popular when it came out that it sold out everywhere, so this is great to have, and super easy to just pop in your handbag. You also get four beautiful eye shadow shades in this palette. From left, ‘Vanilla Sugar’, ‘Toasted Tea Cake’ (my personal fave), ‘Hot Chocolate and Cream’ and ‘Cocoa Dust’. These are a mix of matte and shimmers and are so diverse to use for loads of different make up looks. I can’t wait to try these out.

Another set from her Christmas range is the ‘Tanya Presents’ box. This is a lovely set with a few different products included in it. Inside you get, a set of Tanya’s ‘Bambi Eyes’ false lashes, 2x emery boards, and a compact mirror. You also get a lovely Smokey eye trio set with lovely eye shadow shades in ‘Luna’, ‘Winter Walk’ and ‘Dusk’. The final two items you get are a tube of the liquid Highlighter in the shade ‘Beaming’ as in the Beautifully defined palette and a small travel size lipgloss in the shade ‘Afternoon Tea’, from her original range. This would be so great if you hadn’t tried any of Tanya products before, to try out a few different products that she does, as it includes a great range of different products from eye shadows, to highlighter to false lashes. I also love the box and it would be great for make up storage, which, lets face it, you can never have too much of.

The final set I received was this lovely make up bag set ‘Sealed with a Kiss’. It’s dark grey with this soft pink lip design on. Inside you get a small gold compact mirror as well as two limited edition products. You get a lip liner, (she doesn’t have this product at all in any other range) and a matte liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Cherry Macaroon’. This is unique to this Christmas range set so it makes it that little more special. It’s a beautiful deep cherry red and will be great for that darker lip look in the winter months.

The final Tanya Burr items I received are two of her lipsticks from her new Soft Luxe range. I love the simple but elegant gold packaging of these lipsticks. I have two shades from the range, ‘Soft Cocoa’, a beautiful pinky nude shade, and ‘Wild Safari’, an amazing orangy red shade. Both very different shades, I love pink cocoa as a everyday shade, and I think that Wild Safari would be beautiful for a pop of colour or in the summer with a lovely golden tan.

While we are on the topic of Youtubers, I also received a couple of bits from Zoella’s Christmas range. First up, I got this Secret Scenta fragrance gift set of little mini spritz scents, in all four of the scents she has brought out. This includes the ‘Blissful Mistful’ fragrance, a lovely floral scent, ‘Let’s Spritz’, a really fruity scent, ‘Sweet Inspirations’, a sweet, almond and vanilla scent and finally ‘Bake my day’, her new Christmas scent, a beautiful mix of Gingerbread and sweet vanilla. This is so nice as a whole set, great if you want to try out her spritz’ but don’t want to buy a full size of them all, and also a great size to just pop in your bag for day to day use, love this!

The other Zoella product I received was her ‘Bake my day’ bath fizzers, in the same Christmas scent of vanilla and Gingerbread. These are so cute as they come shaped like gingerbread and the packaging is just to die for, with the lovely rose gold detail. You pop these in the bath for a relaxing, sweetly scented bath time, beaut.

I got two fragrances this Christmas, an old favourite and a new friend. A defiant guilty pleasure is the Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy fragrance. It is super sweet! I have literally loved this since I was like 15/16. The other fragrance is by Ghost, called Eclipse. This is quite a hard scent to describe but it is super fresh and so lovely. I also love the packaging, gold with the orange ombré effect.

I’m a self confessed Harry Potter fan. It came out when I was growing up so i kinda grew up with it, and it’s just awesome, I’m a total Potter head. I got these various Harry Potter related items from different people. First up is the socks, these are two different sets, ones a super cosy and soft pair which say ‘Muggle’ on them, the other is a set of three from the new Fantastic Beasts film from the Harry Potter franchise. Next up is this amazing print my older sister got me. It says ‘My letter is in the post’ and has this lovely copper detailing to it and a chunky black frame. I love this already have a place in my house thought out for this to go. Saving perhaps the best until last is the Hardback illustrated copy of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, the 2nd Harry Potter book. This is simply beautiful, it has such amazing pictures in, but still contains the whole story. I love this so much, I already have the 1st book so I’m hoping they bring out each one in a illustrated version. I can’t wait until my son is a bit older and i can read this to him with all the pictures to go with it.

My twin sister got married June last year so for Christmas we all received various pictures. These are the ones I got, and they are all so lovely. I didn’t have any from her wedding up yet so it was nice to have these to put up in my house.

Here are a few other bits I was lucky enough to receive. I got this beautiful pamper set from my boys with some really cosy slippers, (seriously their so fluffy!), this came with a Vanilla frosting lotion and Strawberry Candy Cane soak crystals. These both smell so delicious and I can’t wait for a cheeky little pamper sesh soon. I got these gorgeous heart shaped earrings from my Auntie. We found these at a Christmas market and they just looked stunning. They shine so many different colours in the light and look so dainty and delicate. I received some more tassimo pods from my sister for our coffee machine, this is my favourite, Americano! (It’s also free on SW which makes it even better). I got this lovely purse as well with a super cute sprinkled donuts design on. It is a really lovely size purse, great for cards, money and even a lipstick. I hate massive purses so this is literally perfect. Also can we just talk about the packaging for a moment! So cute. The last two items are a lovey set of simple bracelets with all different materials and charms on, and a beautiful copper candle holder. I love copper things and the pattern on this is so lovely!

I also got a lovely range of lush bath bombs but I’ll save them for their own post as they are all so lovely and this post will just go on for ever.
