Midnight Runway Frankie 💀👻🌜✨🌃
My Midnight Runway Frankie came in the mail on Saturday!! I wasn't actually going to be picking her up from my grandparents for awhile because I had just moved to my girlfriends on Friday, but we had to go out there anyway because my father kinda threatened to throw away my stuff even though he said I could keep it there till August. I know I was just talking about how I probably need to start selling kandi again because I need money, but for clarification I preordered her back in February when things were a little less messy. Also I know I probably don't need to clarify and justify everything I say, but as a neurodivergent trans person not to mention plural system on the internet who shares about these parts of my experience I'm so concerned about being harassed or wrongfully accused of lying because it happens all the time.
Anyway I know a lot of the Monster High fandom didn't love this doll, but I really like her! The design is kinda giving me drag king vibes. I've seen a lot of people say it's cheesy looking and like sure, but I think it's like camp. I'm also really liking this more androgynous look in general, fashion doll brands often avoid androgyny and gender fuckery unfortunately. With that said on the other hand the G3 version of Frankie is actually canonically nonbinary and I like them a lot. I've seen a lot of people complain about this, but I Ironically actually like that G3 Frankie presents more fem or kinda andro fem. One because it's personally relatable and two because I think it's good representation that nonbinary people don't need to look a certain way. With that said I still I would love to see more androgynous fashion dolls, I just don't think G3 Frankie needs to be androgynous. I honestly find it kinda annoying when cis people complain about G3 Frankie not being androgynous, but like cis people have a lot of weird stuff to say about them. I've seen so many people complain about how G3 Frankie introduces themselves with their name and pronouns saying that no one dose that while a lot people especially nonbinary people do indeed do that. Anyway that's super off topic because this is an alumni doll. Long story short I really like this doll, I think her design is pretty cool.

Top Ten Best Kamen Rider Suits
Before I get started, I just want to clarify that this is not a top ten list of my favorite KR characters. This is purely my taste in suits. As such, prepare yourselves for some bizarre choices. And I do apologize for the lack of pictures or bold text. My mobile won’t let me make this list as fun as I would like.
10) Amazing Mighty Kuuga - Kuuga’s design is both classic and cool. There’s no doubt about that. And any one of his forms could have easily made this list; it really does depend on your personal preference. And mine unquestionably go to the Amazing Mighty form. The black on gold is awesome to look at, and the entire look gives off an intimidating vibe. And the black armor works on the black fabric to a greater degree than the other forms, I think.
9) Kamen Rider G3 - Fun Fact: G3 was my first ever exposure to the Kamen Rider world. I had just learned of the franchises existence, and I looked up the various seasons. Agito, G3’s series, caught my eye. So I started there, not knowing that the season was a sequel to the infinitely better season, Kuuga. And in that first episode, I saw G3’s suit. And it was awesome. Similar to X Rider, his suit was power armor that he had to put on manually. This gave the suit a clunky, RoboCop vibe while still being flexible enough to fight with, which is impressive to pull off. I also like the general theme and design of the suit. He looks like really harass special forces cop.
8) Kamen Rider Decade - I haven’t seen Decade. So I can’t confirm whether the Rider is the Antichrist that the fandom makes him out to be. However, his suit is spectacular. I am a sucker for the Pink/Black color scheme, and the green eyes are the best possible choice to go with that, and the design of the whole thing, especially the helmet, just works for me.
7) Kamen Rider Ibuki - I don’t get the dislike for the Hibiki suits. Because all of them are really awesome! I love the unique designs, and I LOVE the helmets! But in particular, Ibuki scratches that itch I never knew I had. Maybe it’s the blue (my favorite color), maybe it’s the showy design, or maybe it’s those awesome helmets! The world may never know!
6) Kamen Rider Super-1 - And of course, no Top Ten KR Suits list would be complete without the Showa Spaceman himself. This guy can’t help but stand out among the Showa Riders: The silver is easy enough to spot, but the stark contrast provided with the red eyes absolutely help in that regard. The whole design is pleasing to the eye, but it really is the oddly shaped eyes that bring the look together.
5) Kamen Rider Sango - I feel like explaining why I like Sango’s suit will make a further entry on this list redundant. So instead, let me explain why it isn’t higher: It’s a tad too bulky for my taste. That being said, I REALLY love this suit! Depending on the day, it’s sometimes my second favorite.
4) Kamen Rider ZO - Unlike the other entries on this list, me liking this suit is almost directly tied to me loving the film so much. Because it is an unusual, and undeniably cool, design. The lack of a belt and the unusual design of the suit can be a bit jarring, but the helmet saves the look, I feel. It’s cool. With the visor extending to the top of the helmet. Still, even with the give and take suit, I really do think that the look comes together quite nicely. It almost feels like a reimagined Kamen Rider 1. And that is ALWAYS a good thing.
3) Kamen Rider Femme - SO AWESOME!! With all due respect to Kamen Rider Tackle, Femme’s design is THE look for a female Kamen Rider. Just just because it’s in her name. But also because it’s SO FRIGGIN COOL!! It’s regal in a way that let’s her command your attention, and it’s beautiful in that way that only a swan themed knight can be. It also doesn’t hurt that white is a color not often seen on a Rider. So even if the design was only okay (which it’s not), it would stand out to me on the color alone.
2) Shocker Rider (Next) - HEAR ME OUT!! Kamen Rider the Next had some truly spectacular suit designs. ESPECIALLY when it came to the Riders. So naturally, one was going to make the list. But which one? Naturally, I gravitated to Ichigo and Nigo, but then I realized: The Riders created by Shocker, aside from V3, are pallet swaps of each other. And since I loved the designs so much, all I had to do was pick a favorite color. And the color for the Shocker Riders DOES it for me. That shade of yellow isn’t something you see everyday. And it works very well for them.
Be honest.
Who else could it have been?
1) Kamen Rider Skull - This is, hands down, the coolest to ever grace the Kamen Rider franchise. It’s. Just. So. Awesome. I MEAN LOOK AT HIM!! He’s black and silver, which is always a win, he’s got an awesome helmet, he’s intimidating, the scarf ABSOLUTELY works on him, HE’S GOT A FEDORA!! I honestly don’t know what else I can say on the matter. Because however cool he looks on paper, he looks infinitely better on screen. And the big thing that works here is the simplicity of it all: you can look at him and instantly know that he’s a Kamen Rider, and you aren’t bombarded by colors and shapes that hurt the eye (Gaim). It’s a simple concept that absolutely could not have been pulled off better. And you know what? Skull is also one of my favorite characters in the franchise. I consider him to be on equal footing with Ichigo, Nigo, Kuuga, OOO, and others of that highest Pantheon of Riders. Does that make me biased? Maybe, but just remember that OOO didn’t even make the list, and he IS my favorite. I just absolutely love this suit and everything about this list.
Special thanks to @himitsusentaiblog for inspiring me to make the list. I hope he reads it, and I hope that I managed to interest some of you Normies into checking out this awesome franchise.
