orange soda.
a. donaldson , you | nsfw |
The quiet sprinkle of evening dew quiets your racing nerves with each pitter-patter splashing against the pavement. You lay rested comfortably on the mattress of your boy-best friend's dormitory. You can hear the quickening hum of his heartbeat as you lay against the headboard. You estimated a near 120 beats each minute. A soft smile tugs on your lips at this realization, gently adjusting your position so that your forearm rests recklessly close to the curve in his aqua tennis shorts. He faintly chokes back a cough, a pink hue tinting his cheeks and nose. You glance up at him warmly, "You need water?" a sarcastic laughs leaves your lips. His flushed-red lips widen into a teethy smile, "It's on my nightstand, if you want to hand it me." You snootily roll your eyes in 'way to brush me off' way, twisting your body to grab the aluminum water that rest on his wooden night stand. "Why don't you get a smaller water bottle- this thing weighs a shit ton Art." You complain, surveying the vividly scattered stickers casually placed on the bottle. He places the water bottle to his lips, taking a sip before leaving it to lay in between his thighs, "I need to stay hydrated." he promptly says. You notice the bob of his adam's apple as he swallows, his jaw flexing to a cast a gentle shadow, lining his chin and neck. You scrunch your eyebrows together in disagreement, "and there aren't smaller water bottle that can do the same thing?" you quiz. His coy gaze softens your facial expression, "No." he denotes. "Doesn't it get heavy carrying around every day?" You urge, grabbing the water bottle, swiftly grazing his inner thigh. The sudden movement causes him to flinch, wincing as the cool metal is subsisted by your thumb and pointer finger. You cock an eyebrow at him, a curious look coats your face, "You good?" His body shifts as he sits up from leaning on the headboard, the wooden bed frame creaking in retaliation. "Yeah, I'm fine." he opposes. His pink-hue is punctuality replaced by a cherry-red tinge. A vivid red tints his face, followed by his neck and hands. He almost looks like he'd be hot to the touch. "Never had a girl touch your leg before?" you sarcastically joked, positioning the water bottle back onto the nightstand. "Shut up." He palms his face in mortification, brining his knees to his chest. "Stop acting like a virgin Donaldson." you tease, gently shoving his shoulder to the side. "Fuck off." he groans in desperation. "Oh I bet you'd love me to do that to you." your index finger playfully tracing the length of his thigh. He can only whine in an effort to retaliate, his skin glowing a deep red. "You can do better than that." you mockingly place your hand on his upper thigh, tenderly messaging the muscle, your fingers working carefully near the leg-holes of his tiny shorts. He whimpers at the contact, jerking his leg to the left. A grin dances across your lips, the grip you have on his thigh loosens. Your fingers begin to sketch the lining of his waistband, gently tugging on the stretchy fabric. You pause, gazing attentively at him for a brief moment, his eyes struggling to meet yours. " Art?" you ask, his stare coming to acknowledge yours, a look of desperation masks his face. "Please." he mutters, voice low and soft. "Please what-" you are interrupted by the warmth of his lips against your nape, his hands trailing down the length of your waist, to your hips. A soft moan escapes your lips, fingers rushing to pull at his blonde locks. You can feel the sensation of a cocky grin tug at his lips while he bruises your neck with his mouth, his hands desperately gripping your hips. "Art-" your voice breaks, husky, and rough. "Shit-", you breathe. Art places gentle kisses from your neck to your jaw, finally meeting your lips with his own. They are soft, and have that generic chapstick flavor. He kisses you with a gentleness you're not used to, like as if he made one wrong move, he would hurt you. That thought brings a warmth to your stomach, its tickling and teasing you.
Art beckons you closer, pulling you to his chest with his bicep. You lean into his muscular body, palming his jaw with your hand. His hands restlessly travels your body, cupping your ass with one hand, and gripping the fat of for waist with the other. You shift your body so that your leg rests between his thighs, and you both are kneeling on the mattress. You groan in the kiss, your free hand trails his clothed abs. He whines at your touch, the veins in his hands pop as he shifts his attention to massage the fat of your ass with both hands. Your body jolts at the sudden gesture, causing friction between Art's thigh and your sensitive bud. You moan instinctively, lips parting from his. A quiet whine of absence leaves his lips, his eyes glare lewdly at you."Do that again." he presses, guiding your hips to move forward. You groan at his words, bucking your hips up to achieve that friction once again. Art remains silent, his grip on your hips tightening each time you move back and forth, the lining of your athletic shorts is the only barrier between skin. "Art-," you breathe, "Fuck." your head falls into his shoulder, your hands resting neatly on either side. He winces when your knee promptly grazes his cock. "Please Art-" you slur, the warm feeling in your stomach is replaced by a tightness, Art needily rocking your hips on his thigh, quiet whimpers of approval every time you moan at the slightest change in pace.

oh you sweet lovely angel, happy birthday week @palmtreesx3 - you've had your cake, now it's time for steve to eat too💛
warnings: minor mentions of body image concerns/letting them go, "public" smut (aka, you're outside by the pool, and maybe a neighbor *could* hear or see, but they won't), mentions of alcohol, steve telling you what to do you and both of you liking it, a praise kink sort of, and oral - steve performing | my blog is 18+
1495 words
Maybe it’s something only people in love can do, or perhaps only that sweet bubble of lust and love joining together to create this totally new feeling that allows it.
Maybe it was just something you and Steve could do.
Because, without opening your eyes, you can feel his eyes on you.
And they’re making your body warmer than the rapidly fading sun has all day.
They’re on your ankle now, traveling up the curve of your calf, the bend of your knees and your lips twitch. You know if you turned your head and blinked open your eyes, you’d find him with just his eyes out of the clear water that mirrors the pink and tangerine in the sky above him.
You decide you’ll let him have his moment.
Steve’s currently deciding he hates the color red.
He hates it on your toes, because it’s reminding him of you painting them earlier. A moment where your sunglasses were pushed onto the top of your head and your body was curled over itself, letting curves and rolls and things happen you’d normally try to cover just to reach them, your mouth forming the words of top forty after top forty song.
Happy. Content. Totally in love with the day. With him.
Which is what you told him from where you laid in a floating tube a few hours later as he handed you a can. Sweating droplets over red aluminum as your head fell backwards and your smile was more dazzling than the sun in the middle of the clear blue sky.
He had watched you a little greedily, swallowing when you did, wishing he was the red can you were drinking out of.
You’d laughed, flicked water at him and said he needed the beer more than you. That he needed to cool off, reading him better than the actual book in your hand.
But how could he cool off when you were still wearing that?
Red little bows against your hips.
Red triangle of fabric rudely separating him from you.
Red that traveled up your shoulders and disappeared behind your neck resting on the towel beneath you.
Red that teasingly let the curve of each breast taunt him all fucking day.
Your hands twitched from where they laid flat against the pavement as the sound of water falling off of his body near the stairs alerted you Steve was finally getting out of the pool.
Steve’s watching your eyelids flutter, the way your knees tap together tighter as he slowly approaches you.
The air pulses with each step he gets closer, the cicadas buzz louder and despite the sunset taking away the heat, your body is on fire when Steve finally speaks with a tap to the top of your knees.
“Open these up for me, honey.”
The words are a command, despite how softly they’re spoken.
Your stomach fizzles and warms as you do as you’re told and a cold drop of chlorine scented water drips onto your stomach accompanied by praise.
“That’s my girl,” his hands aid you, palming over the inside of your thighs as they drop open for him, “There you go.”
Steve clicks his tongue when you flinch at the second drop, a soft and teasing remorse in his tone as a large hand roams low again, circling your knee and back up.
“You cold?”
A breath huffs out of your nose when your back arches as his fingers play with the bow at your hip.
Your eyes finally open, a dazzling sunset above the man grinning smugly at you as you shake your head and let out an even shakier, “No.”
Water clings to his tan skin, a particular drop convincing you to never look away from his cupid’s bow ever again. Darker, chestnut hair falls over his forehead as he cocks his head to the side in a silent ‘That so?’ while one singular fingertip travels across the band of your suit.
His lips twitch as goosebumps rise to the surface of your skin.
He brushes over a fresh wave of them, just above the tie of the suit, with his thumb, and leans down, eyes remaining on yours as he blows a warm breath against the pebbled skin.
“Steve,” your hands lift with the plea, only for Steve’s much larger ones to wrap around your wrists.
“Ah, ah, ah,” he shakes his head, the honey turning amber in his eyes as you freeze and blink up at him with a pout on your lips. Until he reminds you, warmly, softly, “Just painted your nails baby. Wouldn’t wanna ruin ‘em, yeah?”
Your chest fucking aches as he gingerly lays them back down and reassures, “How about you just lay there and look pretty?”
It’s hard to breathe from the eye contact, from the way he takes the end of the red bow between his teeth and tugs.
Steve’s nose nudges your hip, it skates across the looser band of the suit, till he’s at the other side.
He doesn’t undo that bow though, he just follows the suit’s seam lower, dropping with the crease where it meets your thigh.
You jolt, torso lifting and hands doing the same as his tongue licks you once and boldly through the red fabric.
Steve lifts too, quicker than you, reading you just as well, hands circling your forearms and giving you a look beneath raised eyebrows.
A silent question of if you’re going to behave lingers in the honey that’s turned amber that’s turned molten. You give a single nod, Steve drops your arms and his adams apple bobs as you slowly and patiently, let your hands drop back down to the towel.
Your clit fucking throbs, pulsing faster than your heart as you blink away spots that compete with the lazy clouds above you.
Steve’s lips press a kiss to your thigh and you squirm beneath him. The kiss lingers and his lips drag up to the wiggling and needy hips moving.
“So,” he grumbles against the red fabric, nosing at the second tie, “Impatient.”
You whimper as the suit falls open, and Steve licks the path of it as he removes it, like he’s following the outline he’s been memorizing all day and determined to not actually ever put his mouth where you want it.
His thumbs spread you open though, and finally, his tongue lazily licks through you once.
Your fingers flex against the towel as your stomach burns, desperate to just grab his hair and pull him closer, but you know if you move one more time, he might never stop teasing you.
Except you’re so wrong, because while Steve does love teasing you, he’s about 2.7 seconds from coming in his swim trunks and it’s all the color red’s fault.
Which is what he sees as he looks up your stomach as his mouth makes contact with you again. Red fabric tightening over pebbling nipples as you arch higher and gasp out his name a little too filthy and a little too loud for a neighborhood, even if there are fences hiding the two of you.
But it only spurs him on more, fingers bruising into your waist as he picks up the pace, tongue traveling up you once, twice, three - fucking keep going Harrington you need her to cum -, his nose tapping at your clit each time and getting rewarded with a, “Ye-yes. Steveohmygod.”
Your eyes blink rapidly, fingers scrunching into the towel and your thighs press against his ears as you gasp through his steady and brutal rhythm. A fluid and practiced drag of his tongue over and over and over again, until his lips are molded around your clit and you swear there’s fireworks going off in the sky right now.
Steve squeezes his own eyes shut, because if he looks at the way your back arches higher or the way your lips look saying his name like that or the way your chest heaves with a new layer of glistening of sweat, he really will come and he can’t, because he’s absolutely not done with you.
He blinks, mouth sucking slower, tongue lingering until he knows you can’t take anymore. He pulls away and smiles as your bright red fingers cup your cheeks as you breathe deeply, in and out, through your nose.
Steve pretends he’s not just as worked up, carefully and slowly tying your suit closed again.
He kisses your stomach as you sit up and before your parting mouth can say anything, he nods towards the house.
“Go lay down on the bed.”
Steve bites his lower lip as the retreating view of your ass bouncing under the high cut of red disappears into the sliding door faster than he’s ever seen a person move.
He waits a solid ten seconds to calm down, grabs the bottle of polish you left behind and makes note of the name.
He’s buying every bottle the store has tomorrow.

The scent of matcha dampens your corset. Lucky for you, it’s black and won’t stain. That’s the one worry you rarely face in your life; stains. Dark fabric does more favours than just slimming you.
Still, that sunny side isn’t enough to brighten your mood. Your day has been shrouded in dark clouds. Your wasted Starbucks matcha and spoiled study sessions weigh down your feet, the thick treads of your boots clomping down the pavement. And on the bus, you nearly fell right on your face with no seats free to sit.
You look up as you approach your father’s ranch house style home. He didn’t take much pride in you but the house was always a gem for him to show off. Almost all your life, it was under one renovation or another. He was always trying to fix things up, including you.
Your mother enabled his endless ‘improvements’ so long as he bribed her with something pretty. That was her thing. He builds, she decorates, and you are the one ornament that doesn’t fit. At least, that’s what it’s felt like since your turn towards black nail polish and fishnets at thirteen. Seven years later and there was still the same angst woven into your parental relationships.
You tramp up the steps of the porch, not noticing the figure sat on the handcrafted bench near the large squared paned windows. Mr. Hansen sits with a can of craft beer in hand, arching a brow at the can as he reads it skeptically. He glances over, not so surprised by your sudden appearance.
You take your earbuds out as the racket scratches from the tiny speakers. You thin your lips, smiles not exactly your forte. He sits up and puts the can down on the bench.
“Tastes like fermented socks,” he says coolly, “your dad never has anything good.”
“Mm,” you grumble as you grip the leather strap of your studded knapsack. “Yeah…”
“You want it? Just don’t tattle on me,” he offers as he taps the aluminum brim.
You shake your head.
“I won’t tell,” he smirks.
“You’re right, it tastes like socks,” you say dully.
He chuckles and brings his hand up, smoothing his palm across the buzzed side of his head. He looks at you, a bit longer than usual. You have the urge to take out your phone and check your reflection.
“I should–”
“That new?”
You speak at the same time. Awkward. Mr. Hansen isn’t usually that out of sync. He has a confidence that makes you feel even more clueless.
“What?” You blink and twist your toe into the wood.
“That shirt.”
You look down at the boned black corset with the violet trim, over a plain black turtleneck. You got it from a vintage store years ago. You’ve worn it so much, the boning holds the shape of your body. You shake your head and shrug.
“Hmm, looks nice.”
The compliment catches you further off guard than his solitary presence. He’s blunt and to the point. The only person you’ve ever heard tell your father the truth. And you know your style is not to everyone's taste.
Looking at him, it's definitely not his. Cream coloured pants, burgundy loafers with golden buckles, and polo striped in shades of goldenrod and garnet.
“Thanks,” you keep from sucking your lip in, not wanting to smear your lip stain. “I should… go.”
“Sure,” he sits back, leaning against the window frame, “if you see your dad, send him out. He ditched me like fifteen minutes ago to find some nonsense sports card.”
“Right,” you continue across the porch.
In your peripheral, his head turns but you don’t meet his gaze. You pull open the screen door, innately aware of him watching you. Why?
The interior door is ajar. You step inside and the spring of the screen snaps it shut behind you. You put your bag on the console table just inside, and lean on it as you unlace your boots. Your mother would subject you to her shrill disapproval if you leave dirt on the runner again.
As you stand, you check your reflection in the round mirror hung on the wall, a frame of golden oak leaves around it. You don’t look that bad. You fixed most of your smeared eyeliner before you left the mall and your lip stain has stuck pretty well. You might be a bit shiny from sweat but nothing egregious.
Before you can grab your bag, the screen door opens. You wince and look at Mr. Hansen as he enters. He is close as he lets the door shut softly and you quickly snatch your knapsack and move away from him.
“Second thought, gotta hit the bathroom,” he explains but pauses and wiggles his nose, the gesture made more obvious by the trim of hair beneath, “smells like grass.”
“Uh, yeah,” you sling your bag from your elbow, “spilled my tea.”
“Probably a good thing if it smells like a lawn,” he scoffs and kicks off his velvet loafers.
“Probably,” you agree glumly and turn away.
“Too bad though. Hope you didn’t burn yourself.”
You stop again, at the bottom of the stairs. You glance back at him. He’s being strangely nice. This isn’t the same man who called you Wednesday Addams and teased you how he was certain that you must sleep in a coffin. Is something wrong? Is your dad okay?
“Hey,” your dad’s voice booms down the stairs above you. You spin and look up at his descent. He carries the old cigar box he keeps his collectibles in, “home early. Thought you were studying.”
“Yeah, uh, I’m just going to do it here–” you say.
“Your mother wants you to help with dinner tonight,” he doesn’t let you finish. As he nears he stops, looking you up and down like he always does. You have to know that he hates everything about you. “Colourful.”
“Dad,” you whisper a weak plea.
He doesn’t answer you as he shoulders past. You frown but don’t look back. You don’t want to show how much it hurts. Even if it happens every day, it still crushes you. It’s just clothes, why does he care so much? You remember the day he stopped taking you to car shows with him, the day you refused to take out your earrings. That was the switch.
“Studying, huh? Boring, but admirable,” Mr. Hansen comments, “think most dad’s would love to hear that from their daughters, huh, Ray?”
Your father just huffs, “depends what they’re studying.”
You keep on up the stairs. You won’t argue, not in front of company. Especially not in front of Mr. Hansen.
“Degree isn’t worth much when you dress like that,” you hear his remark before you get to the top.
You peek back downstairs but can’t see the landing below. Funny, you got a job and they don’t care what you wear, they just want you to show up. If only you had the courage to say it out loud. If only it would make a difference.
You shuffle to your room, just down the hall from your father’s. He occupies the primary room and your mother sleeps in her studio, just the next doorway. They can be amiable, given they don’t spend too much time together. Their relationship is more transactional than affectionate.
You wouldn’t know much about that, though. You’re only guessing. The closest you got to a relationship was when Travis invited you under the bleaches… that’s a memory worth forgetting.
You close your door before you can get carried away. You stopped worrying about your parents’ marriage right before high school. You realised then, there wasn’t any use in fretting in it. In fact, you became almost hopeful that one day they would split.
You put your bag on your bed and look around. The vanity you painted black stands beside the dark curtains. Little bat stickers decorate the edges of the mirror, your collection of antique vials and painted bottles line one side, and your make up chest sits on the other. It’s your little cave, the one place no one can tell you who to be.
You turn on the lamp in the shape of a crystal ball. You undo your corset and peel off your turtleneck, leaving the damp clothing in the hamper. You pull on a black and white striped sweater instead.
You unpack your laptop and climb up on your high queen. The frame has curling iron posts, a particularly gothic design with a peak at the center of the headboard. You love it even if it scratches the paint off the wall.
You pile your pillows up, building a cosy nest to catch up on your work. It’s maybe ten minutes before there’s pounding on your door. Your mother doesn’t wait for an answer. You’ve learned not to expect her to. You look over as she flips on the overhead lights, ruining the subtle ambience of your bedside lamp.
“Uh, hello,” she snips, “your dad said he told you about dinner.”
You frown, “it’s only four–”
“Yes, and? I’m making a bouillabaisse. It needs lots of time,” she retorts, “besides, the table will need to be set for our company.”
“Company? You mean Mr. Hansen–”
“Er yeah,” she sniffs, “don’t be so dumb and stop asking questions.”
“Just curious,” you close your laptop and push yourself across the bed, “coming…”
Your voice trails off as your mother’s already gone, your door left slightly ajar. You huff and follow her tracks, her steps on the stairs as you get to the hallway. You pull your door shut behind you, checking to make sure the fault mechanism catches.
You continue downstairs and follow the impatient clanging of your mother. She’s never very subtle. She already has a glass of red on the counter. She’ll bark at you over it as she tells you exactly how to cook and refuse to do any of it herself.
“Oh, honey,” she says dramatically as she slams the soup pot on the burner, “you look so grim. What happened to that new gloss I bought you?”
“The pink stuff?” You utter as you pick at your sleeves.
“It went so nice with your complexion,” she preens, “it would look so nice with a new dress. I was online shopping today–”
“Mom,” you cross your arms.
“Don’t be a brat. You know, when I was your age, I would’ve loved if my mother still bought me clothes. She made me work for everything I had. She wouldn’t even buy me tampons.”
“I’m sorry,” you murmur.
“Don’t be sorry, get the fish out. Don’t forget the mussels…”
You do as she says. You take out the vast array of fish along with the vegetables she lists off. She empties her glass by the time you start adding ingredients to the blender for the base. You’ve never been a fan of the dish but the last time you tried to convince her on something similar, you went to bed with a stinging cheek. She pours a second glass as you run the motor, holding it extra long to override her nagging.
She leans on the counter, swirling her glass. You can smell her cabinet-laced breath. She’s tipsy already. You add oil to the pot and wait for it to heat up.
“You look so dreary in black,” she mopes, “what happened to my little girl?”
“I’m twenty,” you offer flatly.
“Oh, you started this long before that,” she snarls, “you never wanted to be pretty for your mama.”
“I…” you look down, “this is pretty. To me.”
“You look like one of those girls on the internet…” her head wobbles and she slurps from her glass, “I’ve seen the type. They wear tights like yours and nothing else. What are you always doing on your computer, anyway?”
The accusation scalds you. You shake your head and add the chopped onion, fennel, and leek to the hot oil. This isn’t the first time she’s made the insinuation. Like that time she found certain websites saved on your father’s iPad. It couldn’t have been him, he wouldn’t look at those things. And there was only one other person to blame.
“Schoolwork,” you sigh, “mom,” you look at her wine glass, almost empty again, “how about some water–”
“How about you don’t tell me what to do,” she points at you with a long red nail, “I am your mother, not the other way around.”
“I know,” you grab a rubber spatula and push around the veggies and oil. The fragrant aroma rises in the air. It stokes your appetite.
“Mmm, something smells delicious,” Mr. Hansen’s voice enters ahead of him as you glance over.
Your mother turns and leans her elbows back on the counter, pushing her chest out. You know this part too. Not just with him but the gardener and even the garbage man. Your eyes flick to Mr. Hansen’s before you quickly return your attention to the pot.
“Looks delicious too,” your mother slithers as she leers at him, “Lloyd, I didn’t even get a chance to thank you for the merlot!” She raises her glass sloppily, “there’s enough left for you.”
“Ah, Connie, that’s nice of you,” he replies as he nears, “but it’s cabernet, actually. And my stomach was turned by that craft bullshit.”
He comes close to the stove, standing beside you as he peers down into the pot. The heat from the stove couples with that of his proximity. Your mother drains her glass and pulls away from the counter.
“More for me,” she chimes and grabs the bottle.
You feel a warmth on your lower back as Mr. Hansen’s cologne mingles with the scent of your cooking, “what’s for dinner, sweetheart?”
You realise he’s touching you. His hand slips under the wool of your sweater and his thumb rubs the skin along the top of your pants. You freeze and keep your hand steady as you simmer the veggies. You peek over at your mother, she’s too distracted with her glass.
“Bouillabaisse,” you answer in a brittle voice. You shift and his hand falls away, grazing the top of your pocket, a tickle on your ass.
“Mmm, fish,” he purrs, “I’m starving.”
“Shoo, shoo,” your mother waves her hand at him, “won’t cook faster with you hovering around.”
“Fine, fine,” he raises his hands defensively, “don’t burn yourself, Connie. I see you doing all this hard work–”
“Oh, you,” she sneers and grabs the dish cloth from in front of you where it hangs from the oven handle. She whips the end in his direction, “no wonder you and my husband get along.” She snaps him with it again, “you’re a bunch of jackasses.”
He cackles, unbothered by her anger, but retreating nonetheless. You keep your head down and your mother takes another thick gulp. She scoffs.
“Men,” she slurs, “no good. If you won’t listen to me about anything, you take that in, hon. They’re all trash.”
You refuse to look after Mr. Hansen or think about the shadow of his touch on your skin. Men are confusing, that’s enough to keep you away.

DIY How-To; Aluminum Can Spikes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Preface; This will work with any kind of can as long as its metal. (soda, monster, ect) You can make them in colors depending on which side you trace your stencil on but im gonna teach you how to make them silver
And i cannot stress this enough,
BE CAREFUL WITH THE RAW CUT EDGES OF THE CANS, THEY ARE SHARP ENOUGH TO CUT BADLY
Material needed;
Empty clean aluminum can(s)
Sharp scissors (maybe a stitch ripper for attaching them but scissors work too)
A sharpie or permanent marker
Superglue if you want them perfect
An abundance of patience and caution
1 Gather your aluminum
First step is to turn those cans into flat sheets of metal. Start by making a small cut near the rounded edge of the top or bottom, about this distance
Tumblr media
Then cut around the top to connect back where you started and take the ends off.
Next you cut a line straight down the side to interrupt the loop of aluminum.
What I do next is kinda just flatten it the best I can? Press it against a flat surface, make tiny bends against the curve, just to make it easier to work with, always being careful of the sharp edges
2 Make a stencil
So the general shape youre gonna wanna make it is like this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The big point will be the tip of your spike, and the little nubby ones will hold it on
imo it helps to have an extra can to experiment with what works best for what youre going for, but once you figure it out, have one flat cut out piece to trace for the rest, to make sure they all come out the same!
3 Trace a bunch and cut them out!
Sounds easier than it is. if you work with it, you can get more spikes sometimes by drawing them close together, but then theyre harder to cut out. Again, be careful of edges. If you want silver, trace on the printed on sign so you dont get sharpie on your spike (or dont, mistakes are punk)
4 Roll them up
This takes a little practice, but what you wanna do is roll up the wider end of the triangle, one edge over the other, into a pyramid, forming a spike with the point of the big triangle at the end. (this ones harder to draw)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sometimes theyll stay curled tight on their own, sometimes they need a little help (superglue) i havent figured out how to make em curl perfect every time yet. You can also fill them with hot glue to make them sturdier ( BEING CAREFUL OF THE SPIKES WHEN THEY HEAT UP FROM THE GLUE) But the good news is your spikes are done!
4 Affixing them to your shit
Once you figure out where you want them, hold the bottom triangles on the first spike up to the spot it goes like you mean to put it in, mark where they touch the fabric, and then take your scissors or stitch ripper and cut four little tears that DO NOT connect at those points.
Tumblr media
It should look like this, with the center dot representing where the spike point is centered!
You should also give each spike enough room that the tears dont run into each other. I usually do them one at a time but i dont think it matters.
After the tears are cut, you carefully insert the bottom triangles into the rips
Tumblr media
flip it over, and fold the triangles in over themselves like a staple
Tumblr media
Repeat until youve added on all your spikes and your piece looks sick as fuck
5 Bonus; patching over the studs
So when you do this, like a staple, theres the little pointy bits sticking in, and if its a wearble item, it'll prick your skin. If youre autistic like me thats a big drawback, but you can remedy this by sewing a patch of a thicker material (i use denim) over the place where these spikes are holding on.

90s Crowley Cosplay
So! I'm working on a S1 shoulder-length hair Crowley cosplay costume for Ineffable Con 5, and I've really been getting into the details of the costume. Let's look at this guy:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm getting lost in the weeds a bit, but! He has at least two different snake belts used in the same damn costume! And a different one in s3!
The top (s1:e1, antichrist delivery) has a golden sheen to the head and prominent raised oversized scales.
The middle one (s1:e1, park) has a satin black finish and paired holes over the entire length (presumably, we never see the back but they wrap around).
The S2 belt also has a golden sheen on the snakehead buckle, high gloss finish but more more subtle scales, visible rivets attaching the head to the belt, and top stitching along the edges.
Tumblr media
Reproducing the belt
The easy part: you can just order exactly that snake head buckle off Etsy, the very same one used in the show. Available here for $20 (resin) / $90 (aluminum cast).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It has little black jewels for eyes you can glue on once it's painted (1/4" diameter).
At this point, I'm not entirely convinced that the first belt is real snakeskin; it might be embossed leather or PVC. Python scales look like rounded diamonds up close; cobras are more like ovals, vipers have the sharp diamond shape with the raised center (like the vein of a leaf).
Tumblr media
If you go looking for viper skins, basically nothing comes up, but! Rattlesnakes are in the viper family and you can find both Western and Eastern diamondback hides quite easily. And they have the leaf pattern to the scales.
Tumblr media
But if you compare the snakeskin in the costume belt and the real hide (bottom left) or a real belt (bottom right), Crowley's belt is overly regular in its pattern and doesn't have spacing between the scales the way real hides do. Crowley's belt is ~9 scales tall (top to bottom), the rattlesnake is ~15 scales, meaning the show's belt has scales 1.66x the size of a natural hide. Real snakes have much, much smaller scales. The more I look at real rattlesnake hides, the faker those scales look to me.
I'm fairly certain the S2 belt is real snake skin -- the smaller scale size and the flatter scale matches python belts nicely.
Tumblr media
Embossed leather can give you nice deep grooves between the scales, and an even pattern, matching the belt in the park.
Tumblr media
I cannot find a viper print embossed leather anywhere on the Internet. Faux snake vinyl / PVC fabric, however, has huge scales -- the same ~9 "scales" per inch, and there's likely one somewhere with that leaf-texture.
Tumblr media
Conclusions
I can't say for certain, but I think the first belt seems really likely to be PVC wrapped in order to get that texture.
The middle one was likely made of embossed strap leather, the more durable material supports all those extra holes without being weakened, and the single layer doesn't require top stitching. The scales are an extremely regular pattern, and still fairly oversized. Plus you can get those very deep grooves between the "scales" when they're stamped into the leather.
The final belt looks like actual snakeskin wrapped leather -- you wouldn't use rivets like that on PVC, it's not strong enough, but riveting leather is just fine. Plus, it has a line of machine stitching near the top and bottom, which makes sense if you're joining two very different materials together (thin skin and hide). The scales are the smallest and flattest of the bunch, which matches actual snakeskin. And, the budget of S2 was a bit higher, so maybe they had more money to blow on a $300 snakeskin belt?
My suggestion for a belt?
This is currently $12 and not overly terrible, it's got an ok pebbley grain to the scales, at 1.3" wide it's pretty close to the buckle size.
If you have access to some dye that will work on pleather, you could try dying this one, $13. It's not particularly embossed though, so the snakeskin pattern might just disappear on you.
If you have money to spend, a 1.5" wide, men's python skin belt will run you about $56, this one is quite close to that s2 look.
Happy crafting and dress up!

I finished my lightsaber bag last weekend, but work has been so hectic that I haven't really had the time to take photos and write up a post about it until now.
Tumblr media
The finished bag, when closed like this, is 39" long and 5" wide. It fits my lightsaber (hilt with 28" blade attached) just perfectly, and it's so nice and soft and padded inside that I feel like my saber is protected from most things it would encounter either at home or out in the world. I wouldn't check it as airline baggage in just this bag, but short of that it feels pretty secure.
The top flap closes with a large strip of brown velcro, which makes it quick and easy to get my saber out when I need it. That faux-suede fabric I used for the lining is a bit grippy, and the interior of the bag is too narrow to get even my tiny raccoon hands into, so it takes just the right amount of force (no pun intended) to draw the lightsaber out of the bag. Even with the flap open, there isn't much risk of the saber just falling out of the bag.
Tumblr media
The fake pocket flap in the middle of the bag, near the right edge of the above picture, hides another bit of velcro, which allows me to close off the bag at a slightly shorter length by folding the top flap down even further, until the velcro on the left side of the picture meets up with the underside of that flap. I didn't get any pictures of that, since it's really only usable when I separate the hilt and blade of my saber, which is just fiddly enough that I prefer to keep them attached when I can. But it does give me the option, say for a Disney trip, to remove the hilt and wear it on my belt, and then have just the blade in the bag, with the bag being a little bit shorter and lighter and easier to carry onto rides and such.
The pocket at the lower end of the bag is sized for carrying the hex wrench and little screws needed for attaching the blade to the hilt, and also has enough room to tuck the charging cable in there as well.
Tumblr media
I've taken to storing my fingerless leather gloves clipped onto the bag, just so they're handy for practicing with the saber every evening. I've built up a good repertoire of flow arts combinations, training on both hands pretty equally, and find that my frequently achy wrists and shoulders are much happier for the routine. I'm hoping to get video of it soon.
When I'm not using my saber, it lives in the bag hung from a hook on the wall. I might like to eventually have a dedicated hook at something closer to waist level, but for now this higher up coat hook works just fine.
Tumblr media
The carrying strap took a little bit of fiddling around with to figure out what was most comfortable (even though the whole thing is easily under 5lbs, probably closer to 3), but looped through the top ring and then clipped at the bottom seems to be the winning combination. I can pull the bag on over my head, but the easier thing is to unclip the big S carabiner from the lower ring. The strap isn't permanently attached to the bag anywhere, so I can experiment with other arrangements or even other straps in the future, if I want to.
The chalk guidelines from when I put the lettering on are still showing up somewhat in these photos, but in person they're hardly noticeable. I may do another erasing pass on them at some point, and I still haven't decided if I want to do some weathering with fabric paints or just leave it as is. Generally I'm really happy with how it turned out, but it's nice to know that I can easily make a few more adjustments to it if I feel like it.
But the next thing I want to spend some time working on is the lightsaber hilt itself. I picked out this particular combination of pieces knowing that I wanted to do some practical weathering on it. The hilt is made from aluminum with a nice matte black finish over top, and I've seen lots of examples online of the difference that sanding that surface makes to the overall look of the saber. Now that I've gotten to know the saber and figured out where my hands naturally want to hold it most often, it's just going to be a matter of getting in there with some sandpaper and starting to take off that black paint in a few places.
I've also been toying with the idea of adding a bit of heat bluing to the emitter using paints, and I think all those details will really help it look more like the 'fragile antique' that the bag proclaims it to be. Modifying my saber like that is a bit daunting, but I have a pretty good idea of what I want the hilt to look like when it's finished, so it's really just a matter of carving out some time to take pieces of the hilt apart and strategically attack them with sandpaper.
And besides that, the only thing I still need for Star Wars Nite is the actual tickets to Star Wars Nite, lol. We're coming up on the end of our third week with our new client, and we have a better idea of when the major milestones and deadlines are in April and May, so hopefully Jack and I can sit down soon and figure out when we want to head back to Batuu.

Quite the Odyssey...
Well that's why I love impermanent constructions so very much. You will be surprised.
I think what happened was:
I let everything grow. This created a great environment for beetles to eat the trees, then I filled the lot with wood, then the trees were stressed and slowly died but there was still a lot of moisture. And way more moisture entering the adobe. This created like a batsignal for termites. The house was falling down because for some complex reason the interplay between the impermeable plaster, adobe and environment exchange created a tendency for structural de-cohesion at the base of the walls which exponentially accelerated into structural collapse. Not even to mention the laboratory nature of the space fueled by a limitless concentrated energy surplus administrated by a psychotic in its singular intent to destroy the fabric of reality. These sudden changes to the environment disrupted the nesting places of the black widow spiders where I put my hand in for some reason in the ceiling and one bit me.
The neurotoxin, intense stress of the home disruption, covid-19, business collapse, chronic life long stress, latent schizophrenia, group gang-stalking, and early severe childhood abuse along with chronic heavy cannabis use, and long term isolation - within a unlimited dopamine seeking lifestyle of radical experimentation, caffine and ancient consciousness developing practices combined with my near total undisciplined and unguided habits of sedentary, habitual neglect and worry mentation as I suicidally entered into a maelstrom of hail-mary-esqe maneuvers to at any and all costs mentally comprehend the experiences of my undiagnosed lifelong schizophrenia- created back-pain, dietary problems, issues with focus and somewhat of a puzzle to sort out.
So I can definitely see the ethos of archivists who's philosophy is just to avoid introducing change.
But radical self expression requires a different approach.
Is this ok?
Ya.
Because we've discovered a few things:
- The natural purpose of psychosis as a survival adaptation.
- The habitus which is a continuation of family karma as a survival adaptation.
- The inherent evolutionary process of the becoming of the life force.
- The governing of the universal principals of relationship
- The mysterious unknowability of the product of that process of synthesis
- The necessity of the minutiae of that process as computational requirement to derive that product.
- the separation of measurement and measured - mind vs. no mind.
And thusly, we have attained some bearing on the validity of these various ideologies, strategies and what not along with some framework to grapple with the hallucinatory nature of the human experience.
So, to the meaning of, 'is this not all good?'.
I suppose, it too is an irrelevant hallucinatory folly of subtextual assumptive predictions.
Or so it would seem?
So I think foremost the aesthetic consequences are astounding. This method informs a reasonable balance between form and function. Primarily it retains a 'fresh' look that is immune to 'dated haircut syndrome'.
Secondarily, it explains the falsifiable horror of global society as a so called 'toxic relationship'.
I think this also reveals the unresolvable dilemma between the validity of authentic present moment and also it as a passing psychotic delusion.
This was discovered in considering the correct nature of the final design of the dojo after moving out of a reactionary survival crisis scenario.
So I don't see what much progress could be made without that groundwork done upfront.
I do see a reasonable phase process of how this could be achieved and that it under any circumstances must be achieved so I think the dojo project is still viable.
The elimination of wood as a possible material seems unfortunately sensible. I do think cement board then should suffice but I don't know what I could use for framing for the aluminum panel exterior shell shield.
Next my heat shield roofing design would be difficult to audit for termite or water damage. So this will have to utilize impermanent fasteners somehow.
Now than, it seems clear that I am and have demonstrated the capacity for sound reasoning and correct strategic long term thinking. Additionally, I am more than capable of working in collaborative teams and work in general. At least for now.
But, this is a catch-22 because the natural course of logic from that point of reference is capitalism is over and this project is egregiously behind schedule.
So it seems like the very next priority is to clear the lot and introduce regular termidor trenching and I've got to implement progressive improvements on moisture control.
I have nothing better to do at all. In the meantime I'll limp along focused on steady energy generation until such time I am well within volatility tolerances to escalate to a new phase of theatre enabled by that new negotiation position.
I do think we should intend to establish secondary and tertiary bases in Hilo and Jeuno areas as well as a forward stealth camp somewhere in Japan, presumably Wakayama.
I think you can't rely solely on invisibility. There are important moments where out and out combat are required. And, without use of various magics you're unable to utilize the other 2 principals effectively.
I mean it's fine as-is.
Termite damage can be repaired now because the walls can just be scooped up and molded back into place. The roof is replaceable with foam core board, and rope. It's running already at minimum utility surcharge and facilities for programs are completed. Which is all well under annual funding.
So I think we should let it simmer for now. Of course, the termites are a serious problem that must be addressed right now.
I feel based on analysis that the termite infestation though severe is primarily driven by moisture. By removing 2 major concentrated rainwater inputs directly into the walls the termites should not generally continue exploring for food within them. It's 'unclear' to what extent the termites have attained the wooden roofing but it is clear they've been active in the structure for its lifetime. And so, any and all structural failings of the dojo are remedied. With regular trenching of termidor sc I believe this will create an effective barrier against future termite incursion.
Furthermore, elimination of the lot of termite bait should also make a Pareto level improvement to the property 'termite profile'.
So I'm going to move all this wood into the shed area. Put up aluminum shielding against the wall exterior bases weighted secured with cement blocks and order some termidor. I already have a hoe and 2 large sprayers I found in the garbage.
Once the termidor arrives I'll just improvise an initial trenching where the termites are visibly active. (Just near moisture sources).
Then, I'll try and use the saws all to cut down all this material including dead trees into firewood and stack it for winter. In some termite treated way protected from moisture.
I will then burn this material throughout the winter.
I will also need to order some stump decomposer chemical, use the drill to inject it into the stumps and remove them somehow which I believe could be the primary food source or even nest.
At this point, the adobe walls themselves should serve as a termite detector. With no new mud tunnels on the walls I'll consider the problem solved.
I will simmer for now, undoubtedly until at some point I will have to re-transition from stripes to web where I will seek out a full time 100% remote employed position at a lower rate. This is when I should visit Alaska.
Once that position term is exhausted I imagine I will be in position to resume ounce operations permanently within Blockchain r&d.
Ok failing that, my research concludes that it would be fine to liquidate everything into Bitcoin and just spend it until it runs out, living however and then at such time as I am totally broke receive approx $2500 a month in state aid on basis of poverty and mental disability and that should be just as well.
With the worst case being that I just fall asleep from dehydration.
The dojo itself will have to manifest a clear and concise incorporate vehicle facet with specific and explicit curriculums, staff and documented activities.
This should in principal realize the purpose.
I just grapple with some.idea that this is just a shit shit shit outcome and I'm too tired to do anything. But this severely and imminently makes no sense because there literally is no conceivable alternative even if could make any wish.
So, I think there has got to be some kind of nervous system disorder at play here and I don't think pharmaceuticals are the answer.
There's no reason to believe my core systems are damaged. I think it's a habituated neural conditioning pattern because it's resolvable with mindfulness practice, similarly to back issues resolvable through a few moments of the correct posture...
I mean, schizophrenia for sure. But that basically just explains the 'cause' of mental phenomenon which are manageable.
My current thinking is schizophrenia isn't an anxiety disorder, but an anxiety disorder will exacerbate schizophrenia due to it's cortisol release leading to dopamine. As well that schizophrenia is essentially a genetic feature to grapple with novel and severe danger.
That imagination is very related to actual perception has some weight. And could explain the crossover.
Anyway, no sense freaking out about it - it's battle and that's just the way it is. I like that, take note, take care of it.

Exploring the Benefits of Pre-Manufactured Sheds and Modular Buildings
In recent years, pre-manufactured sheds and modular buildings have gained popularity due to their efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and versatility. Whether you need additional storage space, a workshop, or a new office, these structures offer practical solutions that can be customized to your specific needs. Understanding the various options available, from factory shed manufacturers to modular building providers, is essential for making the right choice.
Tumblr media
What Are Pre-Manufactured Sheds?
Pre-manufactured sheds are structures built off-site in a controlled factory environment before being transported to the desired location. This method of construction allows for high precision, quality control, and reduced building time. Pre-manufactured sheds come in a variety of sizes and designs, making them suitable for numerous applications, from small garden sheds to large industrial storage units.
When searching for "manufactured sheds near me," you will find a range of options tailored to meet different needs. These sheds can be customized in terms of materials, design, and functionality, ensuring that they serve the intended purpose effectively.
Factory Shed Manufacturers
Factory shed manufacturers specialize in creating large-scale sheds designed for industrial and commercial purposes. These sheds are often used for storage, manufacturing, or as warehouse space. Factory shed manufacturers focus on durability and functionality, using high-quality materials that can withstand harsh weather conditions and heavy use.
Choosing the right factory shed manufacturer is crucial for businesses that require reliable and long-lasting structures. These manufacturers typically offer a range of designs and can customize the shed to meet specific industry requirements, such as additional insulation, ventilation systems, or reinforced roofing.
Modular Building Manufacturers
Modular buildings are another innovative solution in the construction industry, offering a flexible and efficient alternative to traditional building methods. Modular building manufacturers construct sections of the building off-site in a factory setting. These modules are then transported and assembled on-site, creating a fully functional structure in a fraction of the time it would take to build from scratch.
Modular buildings are highly versatile and can be used for various purposes, including offices, classrooms, medical facilities, and even residential homes. One of the key advantages of modular construction is its ability to scale up or down based on changing needs. As your requirements grow, additional modules can be easily added to the existing structure.
Pre-Fabricated Sheet Manufacturers
The quality and durability of pre-manufactured sheds and modular buildings often depend on the materials used in their construction. Pre-fabricated sheet manufacturers play a vital role in providing the raw materials required for these structures. These sheets, typically made of steel, aluminum, or other durable materials, form the walls, roofs, and structural components of the sheds and buildings.
Pre-fabricated sheet manufacturers offer a wide range of options, including insulated panels, corrugated sheets, and custom designs to match specific aesthetic or functional needs. High-quality pre-fabricated sheets are essential for ensuring that the final structure is sturdy, weather-resistant, and long-lasting.
Roof Shed Manufacturers
Roof shed manufacturers specialize in designing and constructing the roofing systems for sheds and modular buildings. The roof is a critical component of any structure, providing protection from the elements and contributing to the overall stability of the building. Roof shed manufacturers offer various roofing options, including gable, flat, and sloped designs, each with its own set of benefits.
Choosing the right roof shed manufacturer ensures that your structure is equipped with a roof that meets your specific requirements, whether you need additional insulation, drainage systems, or enhanced durability for heavy snow loads.
Conclusion
Pre-manufactured sheds and modular buildings offer a practical and cost-effective solution for various needs, from residential storage to industrial use. By partnering with reputable factory shed manufacturers, modular building providers, pre-fabricated sheet manufacturers, and roof shed manufacturers, you can ensure that your structure is built to last and tailored to your exact specifications. Whether you're looking for a small shed for your backyard or a large modular building for commercial use, the options available today provide unmatched flexibility and efficiency.
