tag meme thingy
I must have been tagged at like five tag memes lately but i didnt have the energy sorry lmao I’m cool with doing one today tho
Tagged by @luna-myth, thanks ^^
A - Age: 19  B - Birthplace: São Paulo, Brazil C - Current time: 23:22 PM when I started, 00:08 now. I hate that it takes me so long to type out something this simple but yikes here we are. D - Drink you last had: soda/pop/whatever the hell you say on english i guess every region has a different word lmao why are you like this E- Easiest person to talk to: probably my friend @neecha though to be honest I still suck at talking like, always. F - Favorite song: I can’t pick just one but Heir of Grief from Homestuck and Dialga’s Fight to the Finish! from PMD: Explorers of Sky have been the mood recently. Gotta love final boss songs. G - Grossest memory: idk if it’s the grossest but it’s the one on my mind right now: last year, one of my cats had the brilliant idea of eating over 50cm of string, and the stuff... doesn’t come out nicely. I thankfully wasn’t there to see the worst part but still came home to a panicked family, a bunch of dirty bed sheets (because of course he vomited in the bed. where else would it be) and a cat with string dangling from his butt. If that’s the kind of stuff emergency vets deal with all the time then I really don’t envy them. (he ended up fine tho. Despite the panic and the mess he did poop most of the thing at home and the last centimeters came out two days later. I never thought that a piece of string mixed with poop in a litter box would ever be a relieving sight, but apparently that’s what the pet owner life teaches you)  H - Horror yes or Horror no: usual horror? no. weird glitchy game creepypasta stuff? hell yes I’ll always watch and always love it and always mock how utterly silly and cliche it is and always be unable to sleep for a week anyway. That stuff is ridiculous and only babies would get scared of it. And I’m the baby, oh what a baby I am.
I - In love?: nah this is an aroace zone J - Jealous of people?: Hardly. Anytime I get jealous of people’s achievements I remember that to achieve the same they did I would have to live life the way they do, dedicating myself to the same things they like, and I don’t want that. Overall I like the way I’ve been living and my own interests, so I wouldn’t trade them. L - Love at first sight or should I walk by again?: again, aroace zone.  M - Middle name: don’t have that. Actually I’m pretty sure these aren’t a thing here in Brazil, but I could be wrong I guess. N - Number of siblings: one (1) older sister  O - One wish: uh the world peace thing would be a cliche and sounds fake but damn if it wouldn’t be nice, if you want a personal thing tho it would be being able to meet and talk to my pokemon, and if you actually want a realistic thing, it would be really nice if one day people loved my works as much as I love my favorite series. Like, at this point it’s basically my life goal I think. P - Person you called last: My dad Q - Question you are always asked: “So, how is it going at college?” is basically a greeting at this point. The good part is that it immediately gives me a subject to start the conversation, the bad one is that I’m never sure what and how much about college people actually want to hear. R - Reason to smile: Pokemon S - Song you last sang: King Dice’s theme from Cuphead but I don’t actually know much of the lyrics yet so I just sing the first verse a billion times.  T - Time you woke up: 10am U - Underwear colour: I don’t care much, but anything darker tends to be cooler. gosh I can’t believe I just sounded this edgy about panties and boxers. I can only hope the ‘gosh’ up there balance things out. You gotta have your edgy and dork levels properly evened out that’s how it works. V - Vacation destination: no clue, just being able to take a vacation sounds good enough already. W - Worst habit: This biting nails things went a bit too far i would like it to stop  X - X-rays: Only dentist stuff. I’m actually kinda lucky at this stuff and never broke or hurt bones or anything. It’s half cool for obvious reasons but half scary because I have no idea how I’ll react if I ever get that kind of injury. F - Favourite food: see this is a terrible question because the answer is technically ‘mayo salad’ but I think there’s a billion different mayo salads out there and I don’t know if any of them is the one my mom makes. Either way, it’s got potatoes and carrots and apples and eggs and string beans and etceteras and it’s awesome. (btw I love how this ‘alphabet questions’ thing was doing so well until here and then it all goes to hell here with this second F. I wonder how many other alphabetically themed things get wrecked by the solid fact that there’s nothing to do with a goddamn ‘Y’, even if it sorta sounds like a question all by itself. y this)
Z - Zodiac Sign: Virgo

The player passing Dark Souls 3 in 99 minutes is a feast for the eyes
via
I needed a dozen or so hours for the Dark Souls 3 passage. Speedrunner Spacey1 does exactly the same in 99 minutes. Watching the player disabling the artificial intelligence of the boss with the fog is a feast for my eyes. I love the Awesome Games Done Quick party, and this year’s edition of the event was fantastic.
I never understood people watching the let’s-players. I am not attracted to watching e-sport. However, there is some kind of video activity related to games, from which I can not take my eyes off. It’s so-called speedruny. I love to watch players beat records in iconic games, passing them so fast that it seems impossible for an ordinary mortal. That’s why, like every year, I was looking forward to the Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ).
AGDQ is a multi-day charity event, during which players beat world records.
Awesome Games Done Quick does not have such a media impetus as the finals of e-sports competitions or industry conferences of big publishers. Against the backdrop of such events as IEM, Gamescom or E3, it is even a small party. The small audience behind the speedrunner’s back applauds his awesome serves every now and then, while he stares at the monitor, possibly telling about his strategies to break off the next few seconds of the popular video game.
When speed-coaches try to break the world records, there is a fundraiser in the background for the noble goals. For several years it has been fighting cancer and promoting early detection of cancer. This year’s edition of the event, which has just ended, led to a total of 2.3 million dollars. The money donated by the viewers will be passed to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
As a fan of the Dark Souls series, I am delighted with how the AGDQ dealt with Trójeczka.
Dark Souls 3 is the easiest and shortest version of the demanding series. Which of course does not mean that adventure in a bleak world full of accursed creatures is like a walk in the park. I needed at least a day of constant gameplay to deal with Dark Souls 3 for the first time. The game had some really tedious moments. Like, for example, the fight with the Abbys Watchers. That confrontation was a perfect confirmation of the principle that the smaller the boss in Dark Souls, the bigger challenge awaits.
Well, unless you’re a sly speedrunner. Then Abbys Watcher is not a problem. Just a trick with fog. It turns out that the artificial intelligence of this particular boss activates with the passage of clouds of smoke. However, there is a way to force the game to save the game after crossing the fog. However, the distances of invisible control lines must be perfectly known. Then it’s enough to quickly read the record and it’s ready – Abbys Watcher stands still, not responding to the blows.
When Spacey1 said he would defeat Yhorm without a magical weapon because it’s faster, I raised my eyebrows.
Yhorm is a very specific boss in Dark Souls 3. The giant is so big that the player reaches half his calves. The opponent is also extremely resistant. Slashing it brings minimal results. The boss’s life bar almost does not want to shake from conventional blows. At the end of the giant throne room, however, there is a special magical weapon that deals powerful damage to Yhorm. This is a reference to Demon’s Souls, in which we also had to use a special weapon enforced by the script.
Despite this, Spacey1 concluded that no magic toy he needed. Holding the blade in both hands, the speedrunner began a spinning dance of cuts and thrusts, like Drizzt Do’Urden from the Forgotten Realms. Of course, Yhorm was almost unmoved on these pricks. The player betrayed then that although the giant’s feet and legs are extremely resistant, so his hands and head – on the contrary.
Spacey1 used every opportunity when the giant was bending down after the attack with a giant cleaver. Until I felt stupid that I did not fall for it myself. A few moments passed, and the great enemy finally fell to the ground. Incredible. Watching this fight you had the feeling that Dark Souls 3 is like a walk in the park.
Watching rallies is a great opportunity to learn new things about your favorite games and series.
Spacey1 reminded me of a trick with the door. Just reach the great bulkheads that are the turning point of exploration, but you do not have to wait for the hero to move the great metal bars. If he does it at all, because the player’s avatar is then completely exposed to the opponents pursuing him. Instead, just touch the door and then go to the menu and resume the game. The gate will be open and the opponents will return to their initial positions.
I also liked the fragment in which an experienced player showed exactly where to stand to beat the big dragon with one blow to the skull. A great strategy. I was aware of the sensitive place of the big reptile, but at his head I always jumped from the high cornice. It turns out that it is enough to stand almost in front of the beast, look her in the eye and wait for the right moment. Incredible.
Good speed guys are not just about time. Professional players are constantly entertaining the audience, telling her about curiosities about the program, secrets and rally. That’s what Spacey1 does, which does not need any announcer to comment on his actions. The player constantly explains to players what is happening on the screen, as well as the properties of used items, artifacts and spells. It also encourages donations from time to time. The boy is not as media as, for example, HeyZeus, but it’s hard to dislike him.
Of course, this year’s Awesome Games Done Quick is much more than Dark Souls 3.
Soon after Spacey’s raid you can see a great attempt to break the record in the platform Super Mario Odyssey. Other games launched during AGDQ include: Hollow Knight (PC) (absolutely capital, extremely exciting transition), Kirby & The Amazing Mirror (GBA), Donkey Kong Country (SNES), Mario Kart DS (DS), The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (Wii), Portal (PC), (another great video material that will make you scrambled eggs from the brain!), Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS3), Shadow of the Colossus 2018 (PS4), Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition (PS4), Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy (PC), Silent Hill 2 (PC), Tomb Raider II (PC), TES III: Morrowind (PC), Octopath Traveler (Switch), Cuphead ( PC) (I need to see it), Dead Cells (PC) (it’s also), Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction (PC), Bloodborne (!!!) or Super Metroid (SNES).
All rallies made on the occasion of the Awesome Games Done Quick event can be found on the official AGDQ profile on Twitch . Unfortunately, speedrights were given to viewers in the form of several large blocks of connected video recorded with a string. That is why you will need this pivot , which allows you to determine in which place you can expect the production you are interested in. Well-cut and segregated raids can be found on YouTube , but for some reason (licenses?) There is not all the production on the list.
Nice watch!
