Ok, I just need to say it: FUCK CANCEL CULTURE

You heard me! In the age of the Internet it’s so easy to fake screen shots and photoshop images and turn everything into a “he said/she said” debate. Should people be listened to? Yes! But should everything negative anyone says immediately be taken at face value and accepted as truth?

NO!

Listen to both sides, look at as many facts as can be produced, and follow the innocent until proven guilty model please. I am so tired of seeing people’s lives destroyed by a couple of claims which, a month or two later, turn out to be false. And if you are optimistic, if you think that that “people will listen when the truth comes out and everything will be fine again!” You are dead wrong.

These types of accusations, even if proven false, can irreparably damage a persons life. Drama trends, less interesting facts are left by the wayside

I’m not even going to start on how digging up an embarrassing video or post someone made years ago can also be used as solid grounds for cancelling. That’s a whole other brand of bullshit I don’t want to get into right now

Just...please....be smart, be kind, and be respectful. Don’t immediately jump on the drama train, try and stay objective, listen to both sides and think critically before casting judgement.

Imagine your OTP, where Person A is constantly stressed and has a hard time expressing their emotion, and whenever they’re with Person B they get really tired and just want to curl up and sleep

Person B might be worried that “oh no they don’t want to spend any time with me they always fall asleep whenever we hang out/cuddle/anything” but really it’s just that Person A feels so relaxed and safe with Person B that their body’s natural reaction is to curl up in Person B’s arms and finally get some rest
