Vivo acaba de iniciar su andadura en España. Ha llegado de la mano de terminales de gama media-alta como el Vivo X51, pero su catálogo también brinda espacio a móviles más económicos y accesibles. Es el caso del Vivo Y70 que hoy nos ocupa, un interesante gama media que apuesta por la tecnología AMOLED y un diseño bastante llamativo.

En el competido rango de los 200 y 300 euros hace falta algo más que una cara bonita para hacerse un hueco. ¿Será este Vivo Y70 capaz de lograrlo? Analizamos a fondo sus características y detalles para tratar de dar respuesta a esta pregunta.

Un diseño digno de un móvil más caro

El Vivo Y70 es muy bonito. Cuanto más le da la luz, más se refleja el efecto arcoiris en su parte trasera, que curiosamente, es mate.

El Vivo Y70 está construido en plástico, pero tiene uno de los mejores acabados de la gama media. Esto se debe principalmente a su recubrimiento mate, que permite repeler tanto las huellas como la grasilla de las manos, amén de darle un aspecto bastante sólido. El color escogido también es curioso, cambiando ligeramente cuando le incide la luz. El agarre del terminal es muy bueno, no resbala nada y se siente muy bien en mano.

Es muy cómodo en mano, a pesar de ser un móvil grande.

A pesar de medir más de 16 centímetros, no se hace demasiado grande ni ancho en la mano gracias a su formato 20:9. La botonera es bastante sólida y la calidad de construcción, en general, es digna de un móvil algo más caro. No se llega a sentir premium (tampoco lo pretende), pero sin duda es uno de los ganadores en diseño en esta gama media de 2020. El módulo de cámara sobresale bastante, pero está muy bien construido, además de respetar la simetría entre sensor y sensor.

La pantalla es otro de los puntos más fuertes en este Vivo Y70: una AMOLED bien calibrada a la que no le podemos pedir más

El brillo máximo queda por debajo de lo esperado, si hay algo de luz no veremos muy bien la pantalla.

A nivel de pantalla nos encontramos con 6.44 pulgadas con resolución Full HD+ y tecnología AMOLED. Es de esos paneles que enamora a primera vista: los colores son precisos y los ángulos de visión son excelentes. Si salimos a la calle con plena incidencia de luz sí podemos echar en falta algo más de brillo, pero en general la experiencia es sobresaliente, más aún teniendo en cuenta que en este rango de precio lo más habitual es ver paneles IPS. La tasa de refresco es de 60Hz, aunque por este precio (y con tecnología AMOLED) no se podía pedir mucho más.

En la parte superior del panel encontramos un pequeño notch de gota. No es demasiado intrusivo y, aunque preferimos un pequeño agujero en pantalla, no es una mala alternativa. Como detalle, comentar que el teléfono viene con un fino protector de pantalla, por lo que no será necesario adquirir accesorios de terceros para protegerlo. El tacto de dicho protector es bueno, y cuando la pantalla está encendida nos olvidamos de que está ahí.

Si hablamos de sonido, la experiencia es algo justa, pero suficiente. El Vivo Y70 tiene un solo altavoz ubicado en la parte inferior del dispositivo. Le faltan graves y contundencia, pero no llega a ser malo. Para complementar este apartado, encontramos un jack de auriculares en la parte inferior del terminal. El sonido con auriculares es correcto, por lo que no podemos exigirle mucho más.

Una batería brillante y un rendimiento algo justo

Vivo ha querido ser conservadora con el procesador de su Y70, dotándolo de un Snapdragon 665. Es una plataforma moderna, pero a nivel de potencia queda bastante por debajo de alternativas como el Snapdragon 765G o el 750G. La capacidad de la memoria RAM es excelente con 8 GB a los que se suman los 128 GB de memoria interna.

A la mínima que exigimos al terminal, aparece lag. No es algo exagerado, pero nos hubiese gustado sentir a este Vivo algo más ligero, ya que le cuesta moverse de forma ágil

En uso básico notamos algo de lag y algunos tiempos elevados al abrir aplicaciones. No llega a ser algo excesivamente molesto, pero en un terminal de casi 300 euros hubiera sido ideal un mejor rendimiento. Como contrapartida, la multitarea es especialmente buena en este Vivo, gracias principalmente a la cuantiosa cantidad de RAM.

Si hablamos del software, nos encontramos con FuntouchOS. Pese a ser una capa de móvil asiático, es bastante parecida a Android Stock, ya que Vivo la ha adaptado al mercado europeo. La única aplicación de terceros que se incluye es Facebook (la cual se puede desinstalar), por lo que no encontraremos bloatware en este dispositivo.

Vivo ha adaptado su ROM global al mercado europeo. Es prácticamente Android Stock con unos ajustes vitaminados, sin demasiado bloatware ni añadidos molestos

A nivel de ajustes la ROM sí que es más completa, añadiendo opciones que no encontramos en la base de Android. Podemos destacar el hincapié que hace Vivo en las animaciones del sistema, y es que podemos configurar prácticamente cada una de las animaciones de los distintos apartados de la ROM. No podía faltar el modo oscuro, así como un 'Modo Ultra Juego' para potenciar al máximo la experiencia gaming. En definitiva, una especie de Android Stock vitaminado, basado en Android 10.

Respecto a la biometría, el Vivo V70 cumple con nota. Tenemos un lector de huellas bajo pantalla que funciona de forma notable, bastante fiable y rápido. Como complemento tenemos un sistema de reconocimiento facial basado en la cámara frontal. No es el más seguro, pero funciona bastante rápido.

La batería es uno de los puntos más fuertes en este Vivo Y70. A pesar de tener "tan solo" 4.000mAh, hemos sido capaces de sobrepasar las 8 horas de pantalla. Nos han sorprendido los tiempos en reposo, algo que debemos agradecerle por una parte a la ROM y por otro lado a la eficiencia energética del Snapdragon 665. Por más que abusemos del terminal la batería no se drena, lo cual son grandes noticias. La carga es bastante rápida, de 33W, y tarda algo más de una hora en completarse.

Un apartado fotográfico que merecía más

El Vivo V70 viene con una cámara principal de 48 megapíxeles acompañada de dos cámaras secundarias: un macro y un sensor de profundidad. Los resultados quedan por debajo de lo esperado en este rango de precio, aunque antes de detallar el comportamiento de la cámara vamos a repasar la app de Vivo.

La app de vivo no es la más bonita a nivel de interfaz, pero sin duda es funcional. Tenemos accesos rápidos al modo retrato, vídeo, modo noche, e incluso contamos con un modo Pro para poder controlar los parámetros de la fotografía. A pesar de no tener un teleobjetivo, tenemos también un acceso directo al zoom digital de dos aumentos. La app tiene también integración con Google Lens, por lo que no le falta prácticamente de nada.

Poco detalle, poca información en las sombras y algo de sobreexposición.

El principal problema con la cámara del Vivo es que los resultados son artificiales y el rango dinámico es escaso. Si bien el HDR actúa medianamente bien corrigiendo las altas luces, le cuesta mucho recuperar información de las sombras, por lo que es habitual que tengamos fotografías bastante oscuras. La interpretación del color tampoco es buena, con unos tonos bastante alejados de lo que realmente estamos viendo.

El detalle es escaso, aunque se preserva algo de ruido para no acabar con la nitidez. Para un usuario poco exigente la cámara es más que solvente, ya que son fotografías decentes para un gama media. No obstante, en este rango de precio pedimos unos resultados algo mejores.

HDR activo a la derecha.

Se nota bastante cuando activamos el HDR y cuando no, recomendando llevarlo siempre activo. El detalle no se ve afectado al activarlo, aunque nos sigue faltando luminosidad incluso cuando esta opción está activa. En esta escena había bastante más luz de la que parece, ya que aún eran sobre las 17:00 de la tarde.

El modo retrato no queda mal, aunque en el caso de los objetos crea algo de halos alrededor, dejando notar la parte que ha recortado el mapa de profundidad. El bokeh es bastante bonito, y no demasiado artificial teniendo en cuenta el rango de precio de este dispositivo.

El modo macro es testimonial, con un sensor de dos megapíxeles que apenas ofrece detalle. Se agradece la versatilidad de la cámara, pero echamos en falta un ultra gran angular en lugar de este sensor, que al final lo acabaremos usando muy poco.

No hace falta que sea de noche. Si se va el sol y solo queda luz residual, el Vivo V70 lo pasa bastante mal.

Cuando cae la luz los resultados empeoran, como era de esperar. Notamos una falta de detalle notable incluso cuando no es completamente de noche. Basta con que no haya suficiente luz natural en la escena para que la cámara hinque la rodilla. Si las cosas se ponen bastante mal, siempre podemos recurrir al modo noche.

El selfie es correcto, aunque los colores son bastante artificiales. El rostro queda ligeramente lavado aunque desactivemos el modo belleza, aunque el efecto tampoco es excesivo. Necesitaremos, eso sí, bastante luz para que las fotografías puedan tener detalle.

Vivo Y70, la opinión de Xataka Android

El Vivo Y70 es una propuesta que conquista por su diseño, pero arroja dudas por su rendimiento y cámara. La construcción es exquisita, la batería rinde de forma espectacular y la capacidad de las memorias es excelente, pero el rendimiento en estos dos puntos queda por debajo de lo esperado en un terminal de este rango de precio.

Los principales puntos de compra de este Vivo son el diseño y la limpieza de la ROM, las dudas son la cámara y el rendimiento

Si buscamos sobre todo diseño y una ROM limpia, para un uso básico tendremos más que de sobra, pero si queremos exprimir el terminal tanto a nivel fotográfico como a nivel de rendimiento, quizás haya que esperar a que Vivo termine de afinar su propuesta en gama media para España.

В качестве аппаратной платформы используется новый флагманский процессор Exynos 2100, 8 ГБ оперативной памяти, 128 или 256 ГБ постоянной. А вот поддержки карт памяти, к сожалению, нет.

Интересен аппарат корпусом толщиной 7.45 мм, небольшим весом 160 граммов, качественным AMOLED-экраном, большим объемом памяти и поддержкой быстрой зарядки.
