WIP: still your passenger (re: deftones)
simon ghost riley x gn reader
!! angst; canon-compliant // i rlly loved this one but writers block hit me bad every time i try completing it :< might pick it up one day (hopefully!!)
Tumblr media
there’s a new medic in the base – a pretty girl with a pretty smile, pretty eyes, pretty laugh. she’s beautiful, perfect with her auburn hair and her chestnut eyes; striking with her trimmed waist and sloping curves.
you’ve only met her once when you needed an aspirin for your fever and never more after that, after all, there’s really not much of a reason for a base assistant like you to visit the station. so all that you’ve heard about her came from privates and base operators, greedy in the way they took in the sight she makes and how darling she looks. you can’t really blame them, not after seeing her; seeing how she is a beam of something soft and tender amidst their chaotic group.
it had been soap who started giving you the specifics.
her name’s erin, a lass hailing from yorkshire. the only family she’s got is a younger sister, anna, who is in university for astrophysics.
“they’re a family of smart nuts,” johnny mused as he spun his shot of whiskey. “can you believe it? she’s pretty and wise.”
you oohed and aahed before telling him to remember to keep it in his pants because erin, beautiful and darling and gentle erin, is an important member of the squad. that she is necessary in the base; having been sought out for the very reasons that got johnny acting like a fool.
“of course i’ll keep it in!” johnny whined, bumping his head on the counter. “i don’t want to anger LT, y’know?”
cold dread washed over you upon hearing what he said, the quiet thrum of the alcohol being chased away by the slice of his words. you felt like bleeding, like you’ve been cut open and doused with ice, blistering chill creeping up from the softness of your lungs to your stuttering heart.
“oh?” you remember asking, your voice startlingly void of emotions. “why would he be angry now?” your hands trembled and so you hid them from view, clenching them on your lap instead.
johnny turned to you and quirked up a secretive smile. “why else?”
the weight of your grief pressed onto your chest, threatening to crack the columns of your ribs. you felt afloat, untethered, and you blinked back the sudden prickling you feel in the back of your eyes.
you laughed with johnny, trying to smother the ache. trying not to drown in the harsh pools of your heartbreak.
because of course.
of course.
you and simon are friends, but nothing more. nothing beyond the hushed voices and whispered ‘i’m glad you’re safe’ pressed onto each other’s cheeks because neither of you made things official anyway. no risks were taken, no promises to break.
everything with him was just physical – chasing the cold nights away with the warmth of each other’s bodies pressed onto each other, fighting nightmares with each other's touches.
sure simon cradled you in his tender embrace but that was all. just a temporary passion despite your everlasting yearning.
“y’ready to go back to the base?” johnny asked and you said yes, another lie that dribbled from your trembling lips. because after that night, you knew that things were never going to be the same.
—————
ignoring simon was easy. it’s not like you needed to do much to avoid him, anyway, not with the way he was gravitating around erin. any other day it would have been laughable how simon followed her around like she’s got a bear of a man for her shadow but, well. seeing him be so taken by her makes you ache.
the sparse moments he has that were sometimes spent with you were now overwritten by his visits to the facility where erin usually is. everyone who didn’t know that ghost was smitten over the new medic certainly knew now; he had long stopped making it a secret and instead, began to posture over those who tried pursuing erin.
he was never a jealous man. that was until her, you guess.
and it’s not like you can fault erin for how simon acts, because could you blame him? could you blame anyone for that matter?
erin was, is, beautiful. she had a laugh that sounded like wind chimes and had a sparkle that perpetually made her eyes look brighter. she was soft even after seeing everyone’s troubles or their anger, always a beacon of tenderness amidst their bleeding wounds. but she was also fierce, a fighter with a bite that no one expected, but maybe you all should have because no one would ever survive being out in combat if one isn’t strong, anyway.
erin was, well, she was someone you knew simon needed in his life.
so, again, could you really blame him?
you have always known simon. you have always understood past his pretences – he wanted to settle. he wanted a life beyond the fight; wanted a family to come home to.
he’s told you this so many times, hasn't he? murmured his wishes and desires at the top of your head as he cradled you in his arms, letting the exhaustion of the day bleed away from your pores as you shared a breath with him; he had waxed poetries for a distant future, one you have always thought you would have been a part of.
one you thought you would have shared with him.
but you knew. despite your self-reassurances that you meant something to simon, you knew that when he envisioned his life, his future, it was one that did not include you.
it hurts, you thought to yourself as you pressed the back of your palms over your eyes. it hurts.
but how could it? how could you hurt over losing something that you never even had in the first place?

stalker lenny miller x neighbour younger reader PLEASEE
You got it friend ✨
Tumblr media
tw: stalking, stealing, he’s a creepy pervert!
not proofread.
“Hi Mr. Miller!” Rang in his ears making him turn around to see you standing there waving with your mail in your hand.
“Hi sweetheart, how are you?” He gave you a small smile. You walked across the yard in your little slippers since it was early morning.
“Pretty good! Love that we’re having colder morning again.” You smiled at him which made his heart skip a beat. “I wanted to give you your mail last night but you must’ve been asleep.” You had a few pieces of junk mail in your hand. Lenny’s job kept him busy and gone for days at a time so he had asked you to collect it for him.
“Thank you, I can always count on you!” He took the mail out of your hand making sure lightly brush his finger tips against your fingers. To say Lenny enjoyed you was an understatement. He watched you, everything you did he knew about it. Lenny had access to you 24/7 and you had no clue about.
“Do you want to come in for some coffee? I just made a fresh pot.” Lenny asked.
“That would be lovely.” He put out his arm for you to loop around. Once he had you inside he couldn’t help but think about how he could just keep you here, but he knew now was now the time. He helped you sit on the stool in front of the island in his kitchen.
“Sugar?” Lenny put a mug in front of you that looked similar to the one you had in your own kitchen. It was a simple red mug with black polka dots, what was even funnier is the fact that his mug had a chip in the handle just like yours!
“Yes please !” You put your hands in your lap as he poured the coffee for you. A small smile appeared on your lips before a quiet “thank you” left your lips. Lenny leaned on the opposite side of the island sipping his own coffee watching how you drank your coffee.
“So anything new ? How’s grandma doing over there? Better ?” Lenny asked.
“Eh nothing new. Grandma is grandma you know. We do our afternoon walks, she still does her bird watching from the porch but you won’t believe this… we went for the early bird special last week and she got flirty with another old man!” You giggled making Lenny laugh with you.
“Grandma still has it going on eh?” He laughed before the both of you made that face that said “ew” .
“Well at least one of us does.” You sighed into your coffee.
“Oh please, you’re beautiful Y/N, you could get anyone you wanted. You’re also smart, caring, funny and a very polite young lady.” Lenny spoke up making you stiffen as he moved closer with each word.
“Oh! Umm thank you… for everything , I gotta get going.” You jumped off your stool and quickly made your way back into your shared home with your grandma. Lenny watched carefully how you went back inside. He knew what he was doing. He didn’t care , he found it funny that you didn’t question why he had your coffee cup in his home, you didn’t notice that he had picked flowers out of your garden and put them in his kitchen.
That moment in the kitchen played in his head over and over as the days passed. You still smiled and waved at him when you crossed paths that you knew of. Lenny had taken some time off work to relax after his last mission with Anna or so he told his boss but it meant he could watch you more. He’d do normal things like take out his trash, check the mail, went for runs shortly after or shortly before you’d go on your walks, he’d even take up bird watching or so everyone thought! Why else would he have binoculars ?
It was the night you had just taken your grandma over to stay at her friends house because even in your eighties you still stay with your friends and to be fair she was just around the corner and Lenny caught out to this. He watched you pull into the driveway, lock the car and settle in for the night. He always thanked his lucky stars that his bedroom faced your bedroom window, well it was your grandmas storage room until you moved in with her to help her out seven months ago also known as when Lenny started stalking you.
You were mindlessly undressing in your room, tossing the dirty clothes into your hamper and walking into the bathroom to shower . Lenny had about twenty minutes to spare before you’d be done. He toyed with the idea for about thirty seconds before he was walking over to your home. The extra key was under the painted rock , of course he knew that! He let himself in quietly tip toeing along the carpet towards the stairs that for his sake were also carpeted , but he was still going to be smart about it.
The running water filled his ears when he passed your bedroom. He had to be quick , Lenny snuck into your bedroom and went straight for the hamper to steal another pair of your panties. He couldn’t take the ones you just had, that would be too obvious so he dug until he found an emerald colored pair and quickly ran off after making sure nothing else looked different. Once he was back downstairs Lenny took a deep inhale of your panties before he looked around your living room to see you had a magazine spread open , he arched an eyebrow and grabbed that too. It was a porn magazine but he didn’t care! It had your scent on it. The water had turned off and that was his signal to leave so he did, put the key back where it was and made his way back to his own house to his room and looked to see you standing there drying off completely clueless that he was just in there.
You finished drying off and turned to face to the window completely unaware that Lenny was watching you. You grabbed the lotion , put some in your hands and rubbed it slowly onto your tits which Lenny rubbed his dick through his pants watching you do your nighttime routine. He didn’t care that he watched you , stole your stuff or sent you some gifts. He sent you flowers at home and work, but the funny thing is… you never told him where you work just what you did! Lenny also sent little stuffed animals and he could tell you liked those because he seen them sitting on your dresser and what is even funnier is that he put a little bit of his cologne on the toys, so how you never made the connection ? You were as naive as he hoped.
Watching you day after day, week after week, month after month , Lenny was more than invested in you. He loved you. The gifts kept on coming, but he was careful not to send the same type of flowers or chocolates. He would watch from his kitchen window in the mornings to see you grab the paper from the porch and hoped you were in a tank top but it didn’t always happen.
“Mr. miller !” You waved at him with that same pretty smile he’s grown to love.
“Hello Y/N! How are you?” He asked throwing his trash into the trash can just like what were you doing.
“Good good, hey I know this is a long shot but have you seen anyone around ?”
“You’ll have to explain a little more my dear.” Lenny raised an eyebrow.
“Well you see I’ve been having these gifts dropped off on my porch and I just… I’m confused. There’s no notes or anything just a vase of pretty flowers!” You crossed your arms before looking at him with a sigh.
“I wish I had an answer for you dear but you know I’m not always home and when I do get home it’s pretty late, anyone crazy enough to deliver flowers that late.. “
“Yeah you’re right but it’s just strange because it’s always my favorite things like they’ve studied my brain or something.” A dry laugh left your lips .
“Maybe an ex lover ?” He shrugged .
“No no, haven’t had a boyfriend or girlfriend since high school! Hard to date these days.” You scratched your head before shrugging.
“Tell you what, I’ll keep my eyes open from now on and if I see anything I’ll tell you soon as I see it.” Lenny gave you smile that made you smile back before saying goodnight and heading back in. He had to run back in and double check the order for the newest gift he had.
His collection of you had grown full of your panties, magazines, only two coffee cups because those were too big to play off, some of your chapsticks, he even bought the same lotion you used on your boobs so he could have your scent on his hands at all times. You were his! But only he knew that and he liked it that way for now!

I will be updating the Frozen 3 news post soon, but wanted to throw in some thoughts regarding the new info.
So, firstly, I’m happy that the film is being delayed to 2027. That may sound shocking, but this is a big relief to me. The first two films both suffered from trying to meet a deadline, and the creators (this is probably more on the company though) refusing to delay and give themselves more time. Thus, both films have rushed elements.
It gives me hope that not only is the story being written into two films, but now they are giving themselves even more time to polish it. Especially concerning the sheer amount of story content that they want to explore— and it’s a lot.
I’ve condensed all of the questions brought on during the announcement into 5 major sections, all concerning a specific idea.
*Quick Edit* I moved the question about the Frozen Heart down from More Ahtohallan Lore to the Prince Hans section because that was always more associated with Hans, so I thought it would be more appropriate to have under that section instead.
First Major Plot Point — More Ahtohallan Lore
Why Ahtohallan has castle ruins inside of it.
The previous Fifth Spirit.
Where did the Spirits come from?
Second Major Plot Point — Elsa’s Powers
Why are her powers still growing?
Who gave her the powers?
How are her creations, like Olaf, alive?
Why doesn’t Anna have powers?
Third Major Plot Point — Arendelle Royalty
How is Anna doing as Queen?
Is Kristoff going to become King?
Are Anna and Kristoff interested in having kids?
Fourth Major Plot Point — Kristoff’s Past
Where are Kristoff’s parents?
How did Kristoff meet Sven?
Why is Sven still full of energy if he’s so old?
Fifth Major Plot Point — Prince Hans
What happened to Hans?
Who exactly is the Frozen Heart?
With all this in mind, on the concept art, not only do we see people in the castle above the sisters, we also see an ominous, viking-like shadow behind Anna and Elsa — meaning that if these are new characters, then that means that we have a giant cast at the moment.
Elsa
Anna
Kristoff
Sven
Olaf
Mattias
Yelena
Honeymaren
Ryder
Hans
Viking Shadow Guy
Castle People
Like….they’re doing the “Too much stuff, not enough space” thing again and I’m genuinely concerned haha. Thus, the delay and split into two films is a smart move. But why not just make a show? Like this screams series. Idk haha.
Also, there are a few things here that I actually thought were answered already — like, who gave Elsa her powers? Ahtohallan because of Iduna’s sacrifice. Why doesn’t Anna have powers? She’s the human side of the Fifth Spirit. But I suppose that F2 wasn’t exactly clear on these things, so maybe they want to better explore these ideas and clear up some misconceptions. Makes sense I suppose.
Also, the fact that they’re asking if Kristoff will be King or not is giving me some validation lol. I always said that Kristoff would be called a King and not Prince Consort and so far it looks like they’re considering the King title and not anything else. But we’ll see haha.
Now I’m curious what you guys think. Poll time.

having watched the final episode and thinking about the season as a whole, overall I still have very mixed feelings - it's still very enjoyable to watch, the animation is beautifully done and the acting is fantastic, but I think this season is definitely weaker than the previous two and I have a lot more criticisms than I had of them
I think that's for a mix of reasons: there's the inevitable issues with compressing an improvised campaign of hundreds of hours into seasons of 12 half-hour episodes, and I think this season shows that the chroma conclave arc could easily have stretched to another season (though I can understand why they wouldn't want to push that when they didn't know if they were getting a season four), but while I never expected the show to be a 1:1 of the campaign and certain changes were always going to be necessary, I do think some of the more significant departures they've made this season don't actually help the greater narrative and in some cases have actually been harmful to characterisation and the emotional beats of the story
I also think we're seeing the butterfly effect of choosing to start s1 with vox machina building their reputation in emon and then skipping ahead in the narrative rather than introducing them as an already established and competent group - they're just not in the same place they were for these story beats in the campaign, and that has an overall impact
as said I still enjoy watching the show, it is overall a positive experience and it's nice to spend any time back with these characters I love, and I hope s4 will be tighter because it's not as sprawling as the chroma arc, but we'll see
more specific thoughts under the cut - spoilers ahead, ye be warned:
starting with positives:
loved seeing keyleth's earth trial, I think the way they've folded her class features into the story and her arc is great
raishan managing to achieve her goal with thordak's body was fascinating, I really enjoyed getting the sense of what a genuine threat she really was
same with thordak, you could really feel his menace and what a genuinely terrifying enemy he was
the songs were great this season and kaylie's song was beautiful
I actually really liked the change of scanlan being in a coma rather than dead and how kaylie brought him round, as well as her encouraging him to go and join the fight against raishan
lots of nice little references - grog "blacking out" to be smart because travis just couldn't hold back that one time, anna's men playing uko'toa, keyfish reference, "do you spice?"
laura broke my heart with vex's confession during percy's resurrection
and while I wasn't a fan of different order things happened in, every perc'ahlia scene was still a delight to watch
seeing inside orthax's realm was very cool
dis was rightfully horrifying and will haunt my nightmares
I did also love them folding in some of the wider exu lore through zerxus
the fight choreography was always fantastic
as was the cinematography
and now on to negatives
my biggest disappointment this season is the complete failure to really showcase any of the group dynamics outside the romantic pairings (and occasionally the twins and pike & grog, and even they suffer), to the point that vex seemed to be the only character grieving for percy or even wanting to avenge him, when ripley's death was one of the rawest, most emotional moments on stream because it was the entire team coming together. would anyone watching the show only even know that keyleth was percy's best friend? or that one of her biggest struggles with her aramente was knowing she was going to outlive them all, not just vax?
don't get me wrong, the boat fight in ep11 was very well done and enjoyable and I loved getting some 1 on 1 moments with the twins, and vex using percy's arrow was still an emotional moment but taken in context overall it felt very anti-climatic - especially when the only comment anyone had about it was keyleth saying "I saw".
just at this point I don't know that I really buy that the show versions of vox machina really do consider themselves to be family, so the "break up" at the end wasn't as impactful as it could have been, nor was keyleth's anger at the group when raishan took thordak's body
and honestly I think you could keep most of the changes and still show those dynamics with just a few tweaks like,
have percy be the one keyleth really butts heads with over raishan - his cold practical logic vs her morals and emotions, remind us of their friendship (which was shown so well in s1) and have her regretting their fighting when he dies
keep grog and keyleth's conversation about anger; it's a beautiful character moment for both of them, and grog's assurance that they will stand with keyleth against raishan if need be would make her anger at the team and running away from them instead of relying on them echo better later
especially if that's following up with keyleth holding herself back because of her fears of outliving everyone and letting herself rely on all her friends, especially when her best friend just died, instead of making it all about committing to vax (even though he was the one with the aging fears this time)
let pike and vax talk about religion - vax suddenly finding himself the champion of a god when he's never been religious turning to the group's cleric, who can be honest with her own struggles. let pike threaten the raven queen! let it be clear why vax tells her at the end, "you showed me the way"
have scanlan talk to vex and vax about kaylie, because they grew up with a shitty father and can offer some perspective on how kaylie might be feeling (and depending on the conversation that could either play into the bard's lament or help play into the softer ending they went with)
if they were really set on not having the "how do you, vox machina, want to do this?" moment then at least let the others express gladness that ripley's dead and disappointment that they couldn't be there for it
if they're also set on having percy stay dead (which I hated purely because it means he was left out of the two major endgame fights) have pike try to resurrect percy and fail because she can't find his soul, let her feel like she failed him and have that play into her questioning storyline
although I have to say on that note I am also overall disappointed in how they've handled pike this season - which obviously to some extent is because she was in and out of the campaign so much, but even so it really didn't feel like she had a complete arc this season and I'm hoping they do properly follow up next season
because it is very unclear how she actually feels faith-wise at the moment. I'm interested to see where they take this bloodline personally I'm not a fan of giving her another crisis of faith storyline when she had that in s1 - I would have preferred to see her faith in herself growing as a reflection of the strength of her faith in her everlight, understanding that the everlight chose her because of who she is - and as it is I'm not sure if she's doubting the everlight, or just doubting whether a life of faith is for her, or if that's going to have any knock on impact on her magic
and part of that is because apart from one or two very cool set battles like using the plate of the dawn martyr against thordak . . . pike's powers have very much been nerfed. to the point that she can't even handle percy's resurrection on her own. even though in stream she's performed multiple resurrections and got a goddess to punch a fucking dragon for the team (no I'm still not over that being cut, I never will be)
she's not the only one. I feel like vex's powers have been downplayed a lot (like has she cast a single spell ever?), and so have scanlan's.
other things that I wasn't thrilled with:
really don't like where they seem to be going with vax saving percy being the reason he ends up a revenant, not least since it implies that percy's soul being taken by orthax was his pre-ordained "fate" not actually a complete perversion of the natural order
also very sad we lost all the aftermath of percy's resurrection, especially percy and vex's forest walk and long talk about forgiveness and that he heard her, and percy and cass's reunion
grog seemed to just be there for comic relief and to punch things this season, I'd really like to see him given more moments to show his deeper characters
sad we didn't get j'mon sa ord joining the fight against thordak
I do feel like gilmore's relationship with the whole team but especially vax is shortchanged a lot in the series, and I'd love them to give us a bit more of his character the way they did kima and allura
very 'mmmm' on them including vex's line about not getting married which is contextually very different than it was on the stream - mostly I'm worried that between that and her then eloping with percy, plus vax's doom being because he saved percy for vex, that there's going to be a lot of fandom blowback on vex (it was bad enough just on stream when vax hadn't yet died)
still absolutely furious that they killed kash
name checking cabal's ruin but not getting it? like, what was the point
things I'd like to see in s4:
taryon darrington. they cannot rob me of him.
kynan appearing as a whitestone guard or cass's personal guard (if jarret can be a guard in emon then why not)
more spotlight on the platonic dynamics beween the group
following up on percy looking at the dragon scales by having him make vex's armour
some unambiguously positive depictions of the gods, especially the everlight
kash being resurrected. or just like ... turning up somewhere like, "yeah I got better, it's cool".

Alright so, ER rewatch is happening, but I'm swamped with work and so I'll have to wait for episode posts. For now, an initial inventory of my remembrance of the main characters/my opinion of them:
Love: Carol Hathaway, Mark Greene, Susan Lewis, Kerry Weaver, Abby Lockhart, Luka Kovač
Really like: John Carter, Doug Ross, Peter Benton, Elizabeth Corday, Lucy Knight, Jing-Mei Chen, Greg Pratt
Like: Jeanie Boulet*, Cleo Finch, Michael Gallant
Unlikeable but not devoid of complexity: Robert Romano, Dave Malucci
I remember your existence: Neela Rasgotra, Anna Del Amico
I don't remember your existence: Sam Taggert, Ray Barnett, Archie Morris, Tony Gates, Simon Brenner, Cate Banfield
*Jeanie's on the cusp between Like and Really like.
I'll be curious to see if my opinions change much watching this show 15-30 years after it initially aired. No doubt there will be cringe "Oh wow that aged poorly" moments, but hopefully also some that hold up well. It'll also be interesting to watch a pre-Prestige TV critical hit post-Prestige TV (and yeah, nostalgic, I'm getting quite nostalgic in my old age). And I'm wondering how my impressions of the characters will hold up in a close watch; I think I'm much more analytical now, and I'm pretty sure my opinions reflect the characters at their best without necessarily accounting for them at their worst. Although maybe that's not a bad thing as long as it's consistent.
More character recollections, some quite spoilery:
Mark's death slew me. It was so protracted too, he was suffering so much and his family was fraying at the seams and I just remember him trying so hard to handle things the best he could with that understated irony of his and just feeling so terribly for him. There was that thing with the guy in the elevator that he just let die, I don't remember what became of that ...
I love so much that Mark is really just Some Guy trying to do his job well while having normal Some Guy things like a wife and kids and basketball breaks. He's smart, decisive, dedicated, compassionate, a good teacher, and truly a deserving leader.
I know that Jeanie had at least one great story, which of course is the HIV story. I'm actually struggling to recall much before that, so that'll be fun.
I just ... I remember having such complex reactions to Kerry, and all these years later that has registered in my memory as love. I love Kerry, warts and all. You could feel so bad for her while simultaneously hate what she was saying or doing, and I do think she learned things over time. She was an outsider, a party pooper, ambitious and career-driven, a disabled lesbian, oil to Doug Ross' water. She was not easy to love, and so I loved her. Also, she was ER Mom. Love you, Mom!
I also loved Kim/Kerry. They felt so real and human and not simply an "issues" story. I find myself not recalling much of her relationship afterward, so looking forward to seeing if it is a worthy follow-up.
I loved Mark/Susan. They were such easy friends, so natural and believable together, so bright and breezy and (mostly) supportive and wonderful. I think they would have made a fine endgame, it was so easy to want good things for each of them, and what an unforgettable, lovely and bittersweet moment when she left Chicago on that train.
For all that though, I liked Mark with Elizabeth. It's true there wasn't the same will-they-won't they (and I remember feeling like her thing with Peter ended rather abruptly) but their domesticity was very sweet and she was a kick-ass character, strong and funny.
Romano was ... Problematic ... but his bond of some sort with Elizabeth was probably the best thing about his character.
I remember feeling that Peter was shafted, but that said he did last 8 years and I remember some good stories with his mother and sister, work vs parenthood, the custody battle, and of course (of course) his evolving dynamic with Carter.
Seriously though. Benton/Carter.
And on the topic of BroTPs: Mark/Doug!
There's something about the two most ambitious characters being Peter, a black man, and Kerry, a woman, that I kinda love.
Upon reflection, it seems to me that at least some of my affinity for Susan and Abby have to do with their family stories--particularly, having to deal with flawed family members, walking the line between loving and enabling, battling the desire to hope because of the need to protect against disappointment. It's ... interesting? ... because I don't have any deadbeat family members or family members who refuse to take responsibility for their illnesses, but something about how they use sarcasm to deal with life resonates with me, even though Susan in my head was a sunny character while Abby was a little black raincloud.
I loved Abby. Abby was a hot mess, a human disaster, a trashfire. Abby was strong, but also a coward. Abby was full of contradictions, Abby mistook self-abnegation for independence, Abby was only happy when it rained. Abby was hard to love, and so I loved her.
There was something about Abby/Luka that I found compulsively watchable. Something probably having to do with being really messed up and dysfunctional and full of maladaptive habits, but nevertheless wanting love like any other human being. There was a brooding intensity and understatedness to them that I remember just eating up. I was an undercover emo kid, what can I say.
That said, there was a phase in which he was truly insufferable (which I know was them taking a page out of the Doug Ross book ... but he isn't Doug Ross, even though he was brought on as a direct replacement). I'm curious if, on my rewatch, it will feel like an organic arc given how sweet, patient, gentlemanly and sensitive I recall him being at the start. Oh tragic little meow meow.
The final scene between Carol and Luka is so etched in my brain. "Because I'm still in love with him. I've been in love with him since I was 23 years old. He's everything to me. I feel complete when I'm with him and I feel empty when we're apart. He's the father of my children, and he's my soulmate." Yes, Doug was a manbaby and yes I was so hurt on Carol's behalf that he left her for Seattle, but really Doug/Carol were the Truth. You bought their connection so thoroughly and George Clooney's chemistry with Juliana Margulies was critical to that.
I remember thinking that Peter/Cleo's chemistry was nothing in particular to write home about (you know, not bad, but not special) ... but hell if they weren't beautiful together. Michael Michelle was just so stunning.
I really thought that they were heading for a lot of yummy Carter-denying-his-feelings-for-med-student-Lucy angst, which I was so there for. But I can't deny that what ended up happening (you know ...) was unforgettable television.
On that note, Carter was never the same after That. There's such a sad lost innocence about his character, given how earnest and caring and even hapless he was at the start. That's not necessarily a bad direction to go, narratively speaking, but one would hope for some eventual hard-won optimism for him all the same.
And yeah, at some point ER became darker and soapier, but I honestly have good memories of a few of those years, before becoming bored.
Like, another scene seared into my brain is Maggie Wyczenski turning on a dime and going postal right in the middle of the ER, screaming "I'm leaving! I'm leaving! I'm leaving! Iiii'm leaving!" and "You're my daughter you bitch!". God did Sally Field earn that Emmy or did she earn that Emmy. I wouldn't want to have missed out on that story, for all that it was such a downer.
Apparently Sam, Ray, Archie, and Tony came on more or less when Neela did, but she's the only one I remember. How'd that happen? Though I can't say I remember her stories, so there is that.
I remember watching with my sophomore year roommate the night that Romano freaking lost his arm to a helicopter. It was crazy. And I really thought it couldn't get any crazier, but then, as you know ...
The look of the show really changed from beginning to end, which, given that it lasted fifteen years, is probably to be expected. But I remember most the constantly moving camera in so many of the medical emergency scenes, and I hope that doesn't go away.
Mark's daughter and Peter's son were impossibly cute. Impossibly cute. So so cute. So so so so so cute.
Speaking of Chicago in the 90s, goddamn do y'all remember how incredible the Bulls were? I don't know why I'm putting that in this post, but I guess I am.
Carter/Jing Mei were such great friends, they never stopped being competitive with each other but they nevertheless grew up together and I love that the show never hooked them up.
I don't recall quite why but I feel like Doug and his dad were reminiscent of Riker and his dad from Star Trek. I don't know.
Okay yeah that's all for now.

( chapter sixteen ! )
"My Lady, it is time—"
The morning is bright despite the events of the night prior, shining streams of sunlight into Leah's temporary bedroom. The day could seem near perfect if it wasn't for her inability to sleep. Sadly, the faint sound of chirping birds does nothing to calm her nerves as she sits at the vanity, keeping her breaths steady.
Leah, to much surprise, "awoke" quite early, prompting Thomas' to stop in his tracks when he enters the room with the goal of waking the girl. She dressed herself, albeit not particularly well, but the Barrett decided it best to attempt herself. Any plan to avoid being in close proximity to the butler is clear, even in the way she keeps her gaze away from his presence standing in the doorway.
"My.. What have you done, My Lady?" Thomas speaks slowly, taking a moment to observe the sight of Leah in a delicate lilac dress, the back open to expose a poorly tied corset. "I do not mean to offend but you look a mess."
Grabbing a puff, Leah lightly powders her face and tries to ignore the way her hair sits out of place in a terrible attempt at recreating a hairstyle Anna has done on her numerous times. "You are a man, you should not be in a lady's room."
Stepping further inside the room, Thomas quietly shuts the door behind himself and approaches the seated teenager. He examines the damage, certainly fixable, but mildly entertaining to him. Reaching down to undo Leah's dress, the demon is met by a near shove.
"Do not touch me!" yells Leah, her breaths staggering.
Thomas glances at the brunette through the mirror, making no move to step away. If anything, he gets closer to pull on the laces of her corset, pushing the sleeves of her dress off her shoulders.
"You certainly cannot step out of the room like this. Do you intend to hide all day?" asks Thomas.
Staring in apprehension, Leah allows the butler to adjust her mistakes but keeps a watchful eye on his movements. "I could not find Meyrin.." she murmurs.
Thomas gently forces Leah out of her seat to get a better view of what needs fixing, already working on the dress aspect of her outfit. The atmosphere of the room is chilling and full of one-sided discomfort, only the sound of fabrics moving against each other fills the space.
"Are you going to pretend last night did not happen?" Leah's voice is quiet but is easily heard through the silence of the room.
Thomas eyes his master's face through the mirror with a smirk. "Why explain what you cannot comprehend?"
The young Barrett takes in a deep breath through her nose. "Well it is clear you are not human," her voice shakes.
"You are correct," chuckles Thomas. "I am what you could call.. a demon."
Leah's hands grip the table tightly upon hearing his words, flinching when Thomas reaches up a hand to fix her hair. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she closes her eyes to think before quickly opening them back up with a glare, watching the pieces of brown strands fall across her shoulder.
"Do you not find that quite pathetic?" she keeps her voice firm despite the fear she holds within her.
Braiding chunks of silky hair, Thomas raises a brow in interest. "What do you mean?"
She shivers when feels his cold fingers brush against the back of her neck. "It is obvious you can be anything you would like, yet you choose to be a butler."
"I do it for you," a ghost of a smile appears on Thomas' face. "I choose to care for you. It is the perfect way to be close to you and observe your every move. You've piqued my interest, after all."
"You could have been anything. You could have trapped me in a marriage with you," Leah turns her head over her shoulder. "Yet you decided to be nothing more than a mere butler."
Thomas fights back a chuckle, reveling in her attempts to hide her fear. "I suppose you have always been quite smart, haven't you?" he recalls all the times he has seen her excel in her studies.
Silence befalls the two but it is short-lived. Taking a step away from Leah, Thomas looks down at his work.
"There. Don't you look much better now?" he tilts his head almost in a way of mocking her.
Leah glances into the mirror, upset to acknowledge that he did a good job. All the butler receives in return is a silent 'hmph'.
"I want something entertaining to do," complains Leah, feeling drained after days worth of events with Elizabeth. "Perhaps I shall return home today?"
Cleaning up the small mess, Thomas takes a step back to approach the door and open it to allow the girl out. "Lord Phantomhive has returned today. Surely you would like to spend time with him?" he suggests.
The Barrett steps out of the room and watches Thomas follow after her, strangely feeling at ease despite her recent discovery. "I'm not sure if I would.." she mumbles and recalls the blue-haired boy sleeping in the bed with Doll.
Thomas raises a brow but makes no further move to question the girl, knowing that she is easy to become upset. He instead chooses to follow her down the hall as he regularly would, going about his work as if Leah hasn't made a terrible discovery about his true identity. Not that she can do much anyway.
— ౨ৎ —
"I believe they are in here."
Opening the door, Thomas steps aside to allow Leah to pass him by, only for them to be met by Sebastian and Nina Hopkins going head to head. The aura in the room is full of displeasure, which Leah can only assume is from a disagreement.
Perking up at the sound of the door, Elizabeth smiles upon seeing her friend. "Leah! You have been gone all morning!" she exclaims, bounding over to the door.
"There was a small problem but it has been fixed now," Leah reassures her friend and places her hands in the smaller pair.
Ciel, now walking over as well, stares down the butler behind Leah before offering a small smile to the Barrett and observing her in the color she hardly wears. "I tr—"
"And who is this?!"
Running over unnaturally fast, Nina grabs ahold of Leah's arms and causes the teen to stiffen, looking at every crevice her eyes can gaze upon. She moves Leah every which way, observing her from numerous different angles.
"This is my betrothed.." Ciel grimaces as he watches Nina pull at Leah's face, gushing over her features.
Clearing his throat, Thomas speaks up from his spot behind Leah. "Lady Leah Barrett is the daughter of Marquess Barrett."
"Marquess Barrett?" Nina raises a brow, her face uncomfortably close to Leah's. "That businessman from America?"
Leah nods with a forced smile. "I was born in America."
Marveling at the Barrett's intricately decorated dress and the accessories that accentuate her features, Nina turns to Ciel with an almost harsh look. "Why did you never mention a fiancé?! She is absolutely breathtaking, look at her!" she grabs ahold of Leah's cheeks and brings her face closer to Ciel's.
"I never deemed it necessary. You are a tailor, why would I mention my betrothed if it is not needed," says Ciel, looking at the way Leah's cheeks squish under the hand.
Nina shakes her head and releases the girl's face, only to drag her further into the room. She pulls out a line of measuring tape and immediately attempts to get to work, disregarding the clothes constricting her efforts.
"I rarely see women so tall, I must measure you!" Nina wraps the tape around Leah's arm, "And your face, those eyes. Marvelous!"
Face heating up amidst the praise, Leah shifts awkwardly before the interaction is interrupted by the blonde butler behind her.
Thomas clears his throat. "I'm afraid it is time for the Lady to eat," he stares down at the tailor.
Despite the hope, Nina doesn't take this entirely well. Her face contorts into a glare as she challenges Thomas, standing her ground despite the situation involving another person.
"There is plenty of time in the day for that! Can you please go waste time somewhere else until the fitting?" The tailor promptly grabs the other people in the room to shove them out of the door, keeping Leah behind. "Well, get out, get out!"
The Barret's lips purse as she fiddles with her hands. "Where is the rest of your attire..?" she asks, eyes slipping to Nina's legs which are partially exposed due to her shorts. 'That is.. unladylike.'
She gets no response in return though as Nina rushes to get her clothes off for accurate measurements, leaving her stuck in the room.
— ౨ৎ —
After much gushing over Leah's features, Nina is finished recording numbers and sees the teenager off, only to announce that Ciel and Elizabeth are ready for their fittings.
Leah walks out of the room slightly disheveled but better than what she had done with herself in the morning, brushing past Elizabeth who runs inside. She hardly notices the glance Ciel spares for her or the fact that he doesn't move from his seat.
"I have prepared tea and pastries, Lady Leah. Do help yourself," Sebastian perks up at her entrance.
She pouts, "I don't want your tea."
Both Ciel and Sebastian seem a bit surprised by Leah's attitude, typically only seeing it extended towards Thomas. However, today it appears to be open for everyone she crosses.
Watching her take a seat at the table, Thomas approaches to lean down but keeps a respectable distance. "My Lady, you haven't eaten in three days. Please do consider something to fill your stomach," he doesn't even try to whisper, only slightly lowering his tone.
"Three days?" Ciel asks in exasperation.
Inhaling in irritation, Leah shuts her eyes to pretend the world isn't around her. "Do you ever stop talking?" she questions the butler.
"Three days?!" Ciel once again asks, raising his voice a little higher after being ignored.
Thomas straightens his back. "The Lady does not like to eat often. She believes she will become too big and that you won't think she is beautiful anymore," he almost gleefully spills Leah's thoughts.
Shoving her head onto the table, Leah releases a sound that almost sounds like a groan and covers her head with her arms. "Thomas!" she yells.
The Phantomhive's face softens for a moment, "Leah.. that is ridiculous."
Leah doesn't respond to his attempts at comforting her, keeping her head buried in the table. She can hardly bring herself to even peek over her arms, not wanting to face potential scrutiny for her actions. 'This is so embarrassing..'
Thomas glances down and pushes a teacup in her direction. "Someone would have found out eventually, My Lady. You need food to replenish your body," he says firmly.
Making no further attempts to argue, Leah instead opts for smacking Thomas upside his head with the strength she can muster. The sound travels through the room before she simply settles on repeatedly hitting him, ignoring the looks she receives as she watches Thomas fall to his knees.
"All you do is irritate me!" she yells, feeling the fear for the demon dissipate.
Keeping himself on the floor, Thomas takes the blows to his head with a content aura and nearly smiles. "Yes, My Lady. I am very sorry."
Leah continues to hit Thomas before she pauses, gripping him by the hair to see his face. The girl pouts as she observes his smile and drops his head from her hand, turning around with a huff.
"Why have you stopped, My Lady?" asks Thomas.
"I'm not going to hit you if you clearly enjoy it! You are so pathetic, it is disgusting. Get out of my face!" Leah yells and crosses her arms, sitting down once again.
Both Sebastian and Ciel share a glance, unsure of how to react to the situation playing out before them.
"Ciel! Make haste, we do not have all day for the fitting!"
Elizabeth's voice rings out from a few rooms away, breaking the atmosphere in the room. The Phantomhive rises from his chair and backs out of the room, leaving Leah with the two demons as one slides her a plate of food, almost earning a slap.
— ౨ৎ —
"Oh, you look stunning!"
Back within the walls of the fitting room, Nina is beyond joyed at the sight of Leah in the clothes she made. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it is a perfect fit, hugging her figure and complimenting her features.
Leah, unlike the tailor, is far from happy as she keeps her gaze firmly planted on the wall, hellbent on not looking at shirtless Ciel mere feet away from her. Although occasionally her eyes flicker to Elizabeth who stands in front of the folding screen with a giggle, only now not looking at Ciel after he voiced his embarrassment. 'I truly don't understand how Elizabeth could just look at him. I might as well die in here.'
"Look!" Nina shifts Leah around to face a full-length mirror, "What do you think?"
Staring into the depths of the mirror, the Barrett's eyes wander, taking in the outfit adoring her body. It is red, very red. Ruffles decorate the outside going down to the bottom, a thin chocker wraps around her neck, and a flower cut from fabric is entwined with strands of her hair. 'This looks awfully familiar.'
She gazes down at her unlowered hems, still exposing a tiny portion of her ankles. "I look like— Madame Red.." Leah whispers.
Nina's eyebrows furrow for a moment before they rest once again, almost as if she recognizes the name. However before she has the chance to respond, the door is slammed open.
"Hey, Ciel!" Prince Soma stands in the doorway with Agni behind him, a look of pure anger painted across his face and a clenched fist, "Why did you secretly return to the main house?!"
There is hardly a moment to react when Sebastian swings a drape and Ciel is suddenly wearing a shirt again, but the demon is not fast enough for the mark on Ciel's back to go unnoticed by Leah. She knows better than to comment on it though, keeping her mouth shut to avoid potentially offending her fiancé.
Soma and Agni move to passively meet Elizabeth, who they seem to naturally be kind to. It isn't until that the Prince notices Leah that the room perks up.
"Ah! Little sister!" he smiles brightly and runs over to envelop Leah in an unexpected hug.
Leah awkwardly gives Soma an askew glance. "Prince Soma?"
"Little sister?" questions Ciel.
Keeping his hold on Leah, Soma chuckles. "She is your fiancé, of course, that makes her my little sister!" he nods.
"How does it make her that?!" Ciel shouts, now beginning to get irritated.
To no one's surprise, the Phantomhive's words are ignored in return for Soma immediately wanting to enter the dining hall, Elizabeth also joining in. Agni is stationed beside them with a pot of curry, prompting Leah to attempt to run away but Thomas is quick to catch her.
"Wait, the dining hall is still damaged," Ciel sweats.
"Please relax," Sebastian places a hand on his chest. "Dinner preparations have already been made. It cost an arm and a leg, but it's perfect as always."
— ౨ৎ —
Stars shine above Phantomhive Manor, casting a calming glow through the windows. But it is tough to beat the fire that crackles in the fireplace, illuminating the room and the numerous bodies occupying chairs and lounges.
Soma and Elizabeth hold a discussion over a game of cards, the Prince telling the blonde all about the few things he can recall from the past days.
"He was bedridden?!" Elizabeth yells in surprise.
Staring down at the cards in his hand, Soma nods. "Yep, that's why I thought I should give him something nutritious and make curry."
The Midford has little chance to protest to her cousin before a teacup is placed in front of her, ignoring Leah's rather loud whispers to Thomas who hardly seems to be listening. Leah's attention is not even caught until Sebastian points out that Ciel is sleeping in his chair, leaning to the left with a slightly ajar mouth.
"It's been a long time since I have seen the Master's face this relaxed," Sebastian allows a smile to cross his face. "It's probably because he was able to spend a nice, free day with everyone."
For a split moment, the Barrett's eyes soften but harden just as quickly.
Elizabeth smiles, "Goodnight, Ciel."
"I want to go home," Leah deadpans.
Thomas shakes his head, fighting a sigh as he glances down at the girl in her seat.
"Sometimes you ruin the mood."

can i get a christmas with rooster hc 💗
congrats again my love!
a/n: ty anna!! also first time writing for rooster, but i love him nonetheless (after this i am also not opposed to writing more him hehe)
tw: mentions of death [carole/goose :((], one mention of having kids
A Very Bradshaw Christmas with Rooster would include...
Tumblr media
*gif credit @pohjanneito
bradley 'rooster' bradshaw aka mr. christmas
when i tell you he is the most festive person known to man, i mean it
bradley 1000% pulls out the christmas decorations the second thanksgiving is over
in fact, it becomes tradition for the two of you to stay up until midnight after thanksgiving dinner to decorate your place for christmas
in the beginning, you thought it was quite silly, how seriously he took the holidays
it wasn't until after spending a few christmases with him that he opened up to you about it
"some of my best memories are from the holidays... it's when i remember my family at their happiest."
while decorating that night, you begged him to share his favorite moments with you
the far off look in his eyes and the fond smile on his lips made it clear that he missed his family more than he let on
so this christmas, you planned to make it as memorable for him as you possibly can
"my dad and i would sit at the piano and sing christmas songs for my mom while she prepared dinner. he would put on quite the show even if it was just us three at home."
you had arranged a little christmas sing along in honor of nick bradshaw
you invited the dagger squad out that night and printed out some sheet music of rooster's favorite christmas songs and gave it to penny to place on the piano
when the two of you arrived the hard deck you dragged him straight to the piano where the rest of his friends were already gathered
you sat at the piano bench and patted the seat beside you as you beckoned him over
"sing me a song, sailor," you teased
always for the dramatics, he let out an over exaggerated sigh before taking a seat next to you while his friends all hollered
bradley's eyes danced over the sheet music for "sleigh ride", quizzically, but he played it anyway
after the first song was over, you flipped through the pages and pulled out "christmas (baby please come home)" which was carole bradshaw's favorite
being as smart as he was, rooster immediately realized what you were doing and you swear you have never seen his eyes shine so bright
he played through the songs with ease and was a little sad once it was over though he didn't mind that you had shifted into his lap at the end of the night
"has anyone told you that you have the voice of an angel?" you muttered in your sleepy daze
"i've been told that i sound more like a chicken."
"well, whoever told you that is wrong because you're an angel. my angel."
if you had been wide awake you would've been able to see the tips of his ears turn red at your words
"i used to help my mom make her special gingerbread cookies. she promised to tell me her secret recipe when i started a family of my own. i never thought she'd wouldn't be here to see it."
the week leading up to christmas, you told bradley you were out gift shopping when you were really at penny benjamin's every afternoon
you asked mav if he knew about carole's gingerbread cookies, which made him light up like a child
he told you carole gave him a box every year
he unfortunately had no idea how to make them, but he did offer to help you replicate the recipe as best as he could
it's how you found yourself surrounded by twenty batches of cookies in penny's kitchen
"i think batch three tasted closer than batch seventeen."
"which one was batch three again?"
in the end, you settled on batch fourteen
maverick's wavering confidence didn't help soothe your nerves, but he swore up and down that the cookies tasted almost exactly like hers
when you finally made them for bradley, you burst into tears
"i think they need some more sugar, hun."
"so they don't taste like your mother's?"
"were they supposed to?"
he realizes his wrong choice of words when hot and heavy tears started to stream down your face
you practically crumbled to your knees then causing bradley to fall onto the floor and scoop you up into his arms
he cradles your head into the crook of his neck and whispers soft apologies into your ear
"no, i'm sorry. i knew i shouldn't have trusted mav when he said 2 cups of salt. i'm sorry they're not your mom's."
"honey, they may not taste like mom's but they're yours. and sure maybe they are a little salty, but i love them anyway because you made them."
"you sure?"
"promise. though i hope you don't mind if i give the rest of these to hangman. tomorrow how about we try to recreate them together, yeah? i think my sense of taste might be a bit better than mav's."
"and when it was finally christmas, we would get together with all of our family and friend's to exchange gifts."
the festivities of the night had finally died down with amelia knocked out on the floor while penny and maverick were cuddled up on your sofa sifting through the gifts you gave them
you and bradley were in the kitchen, cleaning up the rest of the dinner dishes
"hey honey, can i ask you something?"
"hmm?"
"did you try to replicate my family's christmas traditions?"
he must have seen the way your face immediately fell because he's dropping the dishes back in the sink and running to your side
"i just wanted to do something special for you. i'm sorry if i made you uncomfortable or sad i just thought you'd like it. i'm sorry if i crossed a line, i won't do it again."
he's cupping your face, bringing your gaze to meet his
"i did like it, hell i loved it. i was just thinking, what if we started our own family traditions? new ones?"
he gets down on one knee and the gasp you let out is so loud that penny and maverick are rushing over
"i already had a ring picked out and everything, but i can't wait anymore. i can't believe you did all of that for me. when it hit me, i realized i want to spend all my christmases with you. i want to make new bradshaw traditions with you and our own family. will you marry me?"
you crash into him, almost sending him onto the floor
he catches you with ease and you press your lips to his
when you pull away, you press more to every inch of his face, muttering an excited "yes!" in between each one
"bradley bradshaw, i will marry you."
penny and maverick gather the two of you in their arms, fawning over and congratulating you both
amelia pouts when she hears bradley completely ditched their plan and spontaneously proposed (she was still happy for you, nevertheless)
you and bradley spend every christmas after creating new traditions, eventually passing them on to children of your own

Part three of my East High drama department casting thoughts for different musicals!
Today’s musical: Be More Chill
Jeremy Heere: Jet (he needs a leading role and I think being Jeremy would be cool. Two Player Game with him and Carlos sounds so cool, like, Jet and Carlos together is truly a revolutionary concept for a duet imo)
Michael Mell: Carlos (Michael In The Bathroom would be performed so well by Carlos, like I actually think his experience with bullying would help him with character work and getting this number just right) (I also think MITB would sound amazing with Jets voice but Carlos fits better)
Jake Dillinger: Ricky (he can’t play a bad guy, but he also can’t be the lead. Does this one make sense I can’t tell)
Squip: Kourtney (I just think- Pitiful Children sung in Kourtney’s voice would be so powerful.)
Rich Goranski: EJ (I know he’s in college but has that stopped him from participating before? No, he’d have to be physically dragged from the stage at this point.)
Christine Canigula: Gina (I love Ricky and Gina as leads but it seems like an interesting idea to me to have Gina and Jet play love interests after their Hans and Anna roles where he wasn’t quite her true love interest because hans is evil)
(you might be thinking but what about Ashlyn here- and you’re right but I’m getting there, I have a much better role for her)
Jenna Rolan: Maddox (partly because there’s not enough characters to fill this cast list but also, an outsider who wants a group of friends seems like just her role.)
Chloe Valentine: Ashlyn Moon Caswell (I love this one because, well mostly because of The Smart Phone Hour (Rich Set a Fire), the whole back and forth phone calls thing I think she’d kill that so I’m gonna say I love it.)
Brooke Lohst: Seb (we can do another Sharpay in soft drag moment here and Seb is just the one to do it after he did Sharpay justice I think he not only can but deserves to do it again with Brooke.)
Mr. Reyes: Miss Jenn (mostly because she is their drama teacher and as long as no one reports her to the union, it’s fine.)
Mr.Heere: I think Mr.Mazarra had so much fun playing Coach Bolton in Miss Jenn’s production of High School Musical 3, that that he practically begged to be in this. Lmao okay no but seriously I think now that he’s dating miss Jenn he would do it, he also probably doesn’t mind it and kind of enjoys it but no he wouldn’t beg to be in it.

So I Got Bored and Made a Mermaid's Tale Soundtrack
I tend to do this when I wanna chew on stories (See all my original universe ideas) So I'm going to throw out all the songs I found on Youtube that I found works really well for the story/characters. Essentially future Music Videos I play in my brain. Save this entry I'm probably going to come back and edit/add to it as my Whims suit me- also feel free to add your own Fathoms Below : Little Mermaid OST Imagined for: General Overview of the Gem Mermaids/Tearcrown
Yeah this one was just a daily life overview. I mean what would be better right? (and I'm avoiding the 2023 Little Mermaid Nuts to that I haven't entertained Disney's balloney yet and I won't start now)
Amhrán Na Farraige- Song of the Sea Imagined For: Any serious talk with Almighty Sea Again just sort of noodling I genuinely have no clue for this one but it jived with the overall sea theme I had when chosing this playlist sometime it's just feelings you know? Davy Jones- as Performed by Anna Lapwood Imagined for: Black Pearl Cookie
Okay there's no Davy Jones Locker in the Cookie run Universe so my brain automatically keyed that Black Pearl Cookie is now EarthBread's "Davy Jones" your welcome. and specifically as played here because it adds a lot of Royal gravitas having anything played on an Organ and to be honest it just sounds cool and I wanna gush. Mine Mine Mine- Pocahantas OST Imagined for: Lord Oyster Cookie & Abalone Cookie This... Mildly pisses me off because I like watching @cosmicwhoreo's Blackaviar stuff and their OC version of Abalone gave me such Judge Claude Frollo feelings. But Now after listening to this I just... Canon Abalone Cookie is Governor Radcliffe and I don't know how to feel about this alright?! Ok Carrying on Crossing The Line- Tangled the Animated Series OST Imagined for: White Pearl Cookie & Frilled Jellyfish Cookie
;w; Frilled Jellyfish just wanted her to be happy uwwweehhh TT_TT Nothing Left to Lose- Tangled the Animated Series OST Imagined for: Lord Oyster Cookie & Black Pearl Cookie Yeah everyone picks this one, but it kind of fits in this case. low hanging fruit I do admit. Tour of the Kingdom-Little Mermaid OST Imagined for: Overview of the Creme Republic
This was a bit of a surprise but I figure if Tearcrown gets an overview so does the Republic. The Curse- The Longest Johns Imagined for: A Senior Lord Oyster Cookie I actually just found this and it sounds actually really good for a Lord Oyster going back in memory and realizing everything he did to screw things up. Maybe an older wiser Lord would be cursing himself? Maybe Abalone Cookie? Hmmm Akiisu's Music Box- One Piece OST Imagined for: White Pearl Cookie&Lord Oyster Cookie/ Any Quiet Moment Along with being one of my favourite songs in the One Piece Soundtrack it felt perfect for those sweet quiet moments before everything went so horribly wrong (There's another one I want to recomend but for the life of me I can't find the title sorry) Lullaby for a Princess- Ponyphonic Imagined For: Red Coral & Black Pearl Cookie Okay before y'all scream "EW BRONY!" Calm yer collective chest parts and listen to the song. a Sister lamenting the fall of her sibling into darkness with heavy themes regarding the moon? Sound Familiar? Never Love An Anchor- The Crane Wives Imagined For: Captain Caviar/Lord Oyster& Black Pearl Cookie Okay I ended seeing a picture referencing this song- @artforinfinity you are very smart and I'm sticking the song you referenced in the playlist. It works perfectly for every relationship BPC has with a land cookie and not just for Lord Oyster.
Wading In Deeper- Katzenjammer (WARNING: Song Referencing Un-Aliving proceed at your own risk!) Imagined for: Black Pearl Cookie Frilled Jellyfish Cookie/ the Mermaid Siblings Okay I like going a bit dark. I thought though this song is perfect for all those awful things that turned White Pearl Cookie into the hot tempered sea-queen she is today.
Good Grief there's a lot of Disney in here. Eeeh nothing to worry about I'd say. I think if I add more I'll just reblog at this point

«[]She'd grown to love him like a brother. Loved how good he was for, and to, her sister. Anna was independent, smart, and capable of taking care of herself, of course. But it was always nice to have someone to lean on every once in a while. Our simply share jokes with. What would Anna do if Kristoff's memory was gone for good?»
This exception from Polar Nights: Cast into Darkness speaks about ANNA, not Elsa. Elsa doesn't say that SHE wants such a person. It's an answer to that earlier discourse, "Elsa is independent and strong(yeah, especially in F1, she was so strong) but Anna...is not because she wants a man etc". It's about comparing the sisters. That's the answer and apology for Anna, and for other Disney princesses. If Kristoff had lost his memory in this book, then Anna would have been left without a close person on everyday basis because Elsa lives in the EF, and Anna has not yet built such a trusting relationship with the kingdom's people. Whereas Elsa already has the Northuldra, Spirits and Ahtohallan to "lean on". The take can be used for a possible future Elsa's love interest(why though, cause unlike Anna, Elsa has never been called dependent, naive, helpless etc) but at the moment it is about Anna discourse, not about Elsa needing someone for herself.

The Heart Don't Lie Chapter 33
AO3
Anna is furious! To be kicked out of her own house, to be spoken to in such a way by her own child, she simply can’t let that stay. She knows exactly what to do. She drives towards the university.

Jamie hugs his daughters. He is mighty proud of them for standing up to their mam. The decisions that Rose is making, to handle this unexpected situation, to be who she is without apology, they make his chest swell with pride.

He draws Claire to him next. He knows that she was stunned by the vitriol from Anna. She had to place the focus and blame away from herself. They were an easy target.

She lets herself relax against him. There is a relief in having everything out in the open, even  with the loathing she expressed.

“It was a cathartic meeting. A type of therapy session.” Beth expresses what they are all thinking.  Rose hugs her side.

“Just so love. The first of many I imagine.”

Her Auntie Jenny nods. “Sad that it has come to this. But,” she rolls her shoulders to release the tension, “the air is clear now. I believe Anna knows where she stands.”

“She should have before.” Jamie growls.

“Yes,” Her hand comes up to cradle his face, “undoubtedly.  But there is no way  she doesn’t now. Having her life tore apart, even if,” she quickly adds, “she was the cause of it, it is hard to accept.”

“See,” Willa exclaims, “you are perfect for daddy. Smart, with a kind heart, forgiving.”

“I try. Don’t place me on a pedestal. Trust me when I say, I wrestle with very strong negative feelings about her.” They all laugh.

Anna pulls in to the car park in front of the history department. If there is one person that should hate what is happening between Jamie and that interloper, it should be her husband.

She looks at the directory and then enters the lift to his floor.

She knocks on his office door.

“Come in,” She walks in and he looks up from packing his things, “ Do I know you?”

“My husband is currently shagging your wife. I am Anna Fraser, Jamie ‘s wife.”

His hands hit the mostly empty desk as he starts to laugh. Her arms cross and she glares at him. He continues to laugh.

“What is so funny?”

He struggles to get himself under control so he can answer her.

“You thinking you could ever stop that. Credit for doing it for twenty years. But, as soon as he found out your secret and as soon as I stuffed up by choosing his niece as my latest student f*ck, it was over. We are just getting what we deserve.”

“You don’t care!”

“Claire was a means to an end. She gave me an air of respectability. I hoped she would give me a heir too. Now that I know I am sterile and now that my tenure has been removed and I have been shown the door, I don’t need her. Living life the way I want will be easier now.”

She stares at him a moment before turning and slamming out. He shakes his head and continues to pack up, chuckling to himself.

The next day finds Rose pacing, anxious for the arrival of Simon, his wife, Kate, and their children, David and Leah.

She phoned him after the intense family meeting. He assured her that they would be available to come by the next day. A time was set and, as it grows closer, she gets more nervous.

Knowing her family surrounds her, helps. Claire and Auntie Jenny are in the kitchen, baking. Willa and Beth are playing chess in the study, Her daddy and Uncle Ian are in the stables. Her cousins work around the farm.

Her heart leaps when she hears the car coming. Then she sees it is her mam. Hands fisted in rage, she walks out to meet her.

“Rose I…”

“Why are you here?”

“You said as long as I stayed out of the way…”

“That was before yesterday. Do you think I want you here now?”

“Rose, I am your mam. I understand you are upset but…”

They both turn as another car pulls up. Rose’s heart starts to pound.

“Go. Find somewhere to be in the house but…”

Simon steps out and stares. His wife and children join him. Rose looks immediately to her sister and brother. Kate’s eyes zero in on Anna.

“Rose, I didn’t know that your mam would be here.”

“Sorry Simon. She wasn’t to be, here around you guys, I mean.”

“So, you are Anna. I am Kate, his wife.”

Anna looks for a way to escape. The other woman ‘s eyes hold her fast.

“I am sorry for what I did. I was young and…”

“A skank.”

“Mam, please go. Willa and Beth are in daddy’s study. Why don’t  you join them.”

“Alright.” She turns and walks stiffly away. When she is gone, they all seem to be able to take a breath again.

“So sorry, I…”

Kate shakes her head. “It is I who should be apologizing. She is your man. I should have never spoke to her like that, in front of you.”

“No, you have a right to your feelings. Okay, let’s start over. Simon, Kate, Leah, and David, welcome to Lallybroch. Please join me in the great room.”

She leads them that way.

“It is lovely.” Leah offers at entering the room.

“Yes, it is.” From Simon.

“Thank you. The house and grounds have been in our family for well over three hundred years.”

Her auntie and Claire have brought in tea. The children make a bee line for the biscuits.

“David. Leah. Manners.” Their mam says. They all take seats. Rose smiles at her new siblings.

“You may go ahead, if your parents say it is alright.”

They look at them with pleading eyes. Simon nods okay and Kate agrees.

“I know I told you who Rose is but allow me to make a full introduction. David and Leah Grant, meet Rose Fraser, your sister.” Simon says.

“Hi,” David nods to her, “good biscuits.”

“Hello. It is nice to meet you.” Leah offers her hand. She takes it and smiles at the lass.

“It is very nice to meet you both.”

She should have meet them as infants. There should be pictures of her cradling her baby brother and sister.  Simon, watching them carefully, sees. He sighs.

“I am sorry you didn’t meet them sooner. Had I known…”

“Had we known. Oh I was right furious, at first.”

“She threw a cup at him.” David informs her.

“Thank you David. As I was saying, I was hurt and angry. But, he made a mistake twenty years ago. A mistake he hasn’t made since. Not that you are a mistake, just…”

“I understand.”

“We talked about it, after I calmed down. You are innocent in this. Our children are. You are siblings. Simon is your biological father. I am your stepmom. Family. We need to know each other. Enough time has been wasted.”

“I couldn’t agree more.”

Bandook Meri Layla
Chapter 5
Layla tapped her foot on the wooden leg of the chair.
Tak, tak, tak.
It alternated the sound of hands in the clock set upon her piano. Her velvety gloves were dusty, so was her smooth, warm ruby skirt.
Tak, tak tak.
Richard gulped at the sense of eerie silence in the bright blue room. He felt as if she was going to kill him right now. There were a lot of options for her to kill him right now. Stab him with the heels. Strangle by the gloves. Throw the inappropriately large clock on his head. But these were- what she called cheap methods to kill him. She wasn’t a tired wife. The only way to kill him through her ways was to shoot the just reloaded pistol in her hand.
Layla sighed. “He isn’t some super soldier with supernatural powers. Just a guy with trauma. Can we stop obsessing over him already? Just find and kill him”
Richard rubbed his temples. “Layla, I know, but he is smart. Ram broke through our security in the hotel, he saved you, and escaped from this place. Escaped through the 200 people armed. It’s not gonna be easy to just find and kill him”
Layla rocked on her chair, her head titled backwards. "Find me the list of everyone who attended that exhibition."
--------------
The sun was bright and Ram was sweating when he reached the city. Laila's place was far from the city, but not avoidable. He wondered if it would be better to go to his own place or escape somewhere else. Ram has started to understand what Layla thinks. If she really wanted to harm him, his house would have burnt down by now. Ram decided to play a game with Layla, and took the risk. He entered his own home.
Babai sat there, in his chair, his head in his hands. "Babai?" Ram croaked out. The old man's head snapped up, relieved to hear his voice. "Raju!" He exclaimed, rushing to him. "Where have you been?" He asked frantically. Ram sat on his bed, taking a deep breath. "Layla kidnapped me" he muttered. "What?" Babai were confused. "For two days?" He interrogated further. Ram turned to Babai. "Two?" He asked, looking at the calendar. "You've been gone for two days now. I didn't want to make a police report, worrying it might hinder your investigation" babai said.
Ram nodded his head. Layla was easy to be caught in now, as he knew where she was and what her business was. But to think of Layla to be so easy going was not on his list. Besides, she could turn up on his door to finish him and everyone he knew in a moment. Ram breathed, sitting back on his bed. His shoulders hurt, his back aching. Ram needed to take a bath. He sighed, picking his diary, when his stomach grumbled. He got up.
Akhtar knocked on Ram's door when Ram was fast asleep. Even he doesn't remember when he passed out. There was a cooked pan of rice in his kitchen, untouched. Ram forgot to eat. Akhtar slowly opened the door, to find an unconscious Ram on the table. Akhtar's heart was filled with butterflies and joy. His Anna was back. "Bhaiya?" Akhtar cautiously tip-toed in the room, but Ram jolted up from sleep, looking around. "Akhtar" he mumbled, rubbing his dreamy eyes. "How have you been? Babai told me you're back." Akhtar asked, kneeling close to Ram. Ram nodded in return, getting up from his chair. Akhtar stood up too.
"I'm gonna wash my face, can you serve two plates of rice for us?" Akhtar's face lit up. He nodded with a smile and rushed to set two plates up. About ten minutes later, Ram and Akhtar sat down to eat. Akhtar mentioned his curiosity and concern when Ram went missing. Ram nodded, hoping to reply but couldn't. He didn't understand what to do. "Jenny informed me- somehow, that she is meeting a friend tonight. She wants us to come" Akhtar said, stuffing his face. Ram followed, hungry.
"How many friends?"
"one"
"woman?"
"I think"
Ram smirked. Jenny was calling Ram and Akhtar on a double date. They were soon done eating, with Akhtar finishing the left over rice too. Ram surfed through his diary meanwhile. It was stressful how much he wanted to capture Layla back then, but despite that, Ram helped Akhtar get ready for the date.
It was about an hour later, when the sun has started peeking its vibrant orange when Ram hopped off Akhtar's bike. It was a high end, English café in the heart of Delhi. The outsides were decorated in white, green and pink, with young saplings planted by the door. Lanterns were already lit, a hue of brown and golden casting over the walls. Ram could see the big, doe eyes of Akhtar looking for Jenny. He smiled, wondering who Jenny's friend could be. When he stepped on the flight of stairs of the cafe, the same feeling of exhibition filled him in. He felt a presence- someone who shouldn't be there. Ram looked around as both the men made their way in, when Jenny appeared in his view. He smiled, exhaling, only to see a very familiar face sitting near the window.

(Continued from here with @writedisaster )
writedisaster:
Lip doesn’t have anything to say in response to the physician’s continued denial.  He just stares, as if he’s not quite sure whether Ithadel had been speaking to him or to someone else, someone in a different place, someone who can afford to hear no.  It’s Phyllis who first seems to understand.  She hides her face while Lip keeps staring.         The question makes Lip flinch.  The physician’s voice sounds low and taut; he sounds like someone they want to please.  But they can’t answer.  They can’t.  They’ve already fucked this up so badly.  They lift their chin, trying to look like Phoebe, act like Phoebe.  They’ll say something harsh about how it’s not his place to ask, and they’ll-         His hands look like their father’s hands.  Their head stops working again.         “Our… hosts,"  they hear themself say instead.  Their voice is clear enough, but it sounds like it’s taking a great effort to speak that clearly.  "It would be… rude… to refuse our hosts.”         Phyllis is crying.  She’s trying to hide it, but she isn’t as good at that as Lip is.  She’s young.  She hasn’t had his years of practice.  As quiet as it is, the sound makes Lip move again.  He wraps her in his arms, cradling her golden head against his shoulder as she shakes.  He forces himself to breathe in, and then to speak.         “It’ll be alright, Liss.  It’ll be alright.  We’ll be-  you’ll-  I’ll just ask the prince for help.”         The thing about being secondborn is you don’t really need to be smart.  Secondborn children don’t need the steadiness of the firstborn child, or the cleverness of the youngest.  It is to everyone’s good fortune that Prince Lip was born second.  And it’s a joke that he’s the one sitting here now, talking about this.         Phyllis stops crying, as much from surprise as anything else.  “The prince?"  she repeats, in a whisper.  "But he’s-”         “-so wise and so kind,"  Lip interrupts fervently, before Phyllis can say anything she shouldn’t.  "I’m sure he’ll be able to help us.”         He takes Phyllis’s hands in his own, gives her a light squeeze and a warm smile.  Despite the sleepless eyes and uncombed hair, he looks for a moment like the prince who waves to the tournament crowds.  Bright and lovely and unhurt.  “I’ll ask Harriet to bring ice for your ankle, and then tonight I’ll speak to the prince.  It’ll all be alright.”         He knows Phyllis is young, but she’s smart.  Smarter than him, probably.  Smart enough to know a bad idea when she hears one.  But she’s young and she’s hurt and he’s her big brother, and she wants to believe that he has the right answers for this.  He can’t blame her for that.  He kisses her forehead and draws back.  Things to do.         He pulls the bell-rope that will alert Harriet, and slowly, unsteadily gets to his feet.  “I’ll talk to her,"  he mumbles, looking at no one.  "If you have anything else that could help with the pain…”         The sentence trails off as he focuses on walking, leaving Ithadel and Phyllis to sort out the remainder.  He doesn’t know Harriet as well as he knows Anna; better to meet her in the hall than to have her come in and see Ithadel here.  When she shows up, he’s leaning against the doorframe outside; he relays Ithadel’s instructions on ice and care, then sends her on her way.  Once she’s gone, he leans back into the room.          “Are you ready?"  He asks listlessly, pulling at the clasp of his cloak.  "I’ll walk with you to the door.”
Ithadel’s ringing panic eases as Lip neither censures him nor accuses the monarchs, but it still takes him longer than it should to process the reply, watching the royals comfort each other with wide, wary eyes.
At least part of his difficulty is because what Lip is saying doesn’t make sense.
Hosts? If anyone should be the host it would be the royal family; this is their castle and he doesn’t know of recent travel. And… it’s hard to picture Lip asking his brother for help with this. Is another royal family visiting? Ithadel doesn’t pay much mind to public going-ons in that vein, but usually there’s some sort of public spectacle or chatter from his patients that he can’t avoid.
As the prince steps away, Ithadel speaks to the princess in a low, conspiratorial murmur. “Are you worried that you will still have to dance, or worried about disappointing your… your ‘hosts’?”
But the princess just shakes her head. Ithadel clenches his jaw and stares down at the bed – slowly notices his hands, and carefully unclenches those, smoothing apologetically at the bedding until it lies smooth once more. (Except it doesn’t. Pressed wrinkles remain, faint but accusatory.)
This. This is why. It wasn’t just his family, it’s any structure with people that have complete authority like this, isn’t it? All it takes is one unreasonable person in power and suddenly everyone else is forced to act out a nightmare.
…that thought is probably treasonous, in this context.
…but Earth and Sky, this isn’t his nation, he doesn’t have a home anymore, and he really, really didn’t want to ever have to do this dance again —
(You think these children are any happier with it?)
Ithadel closes his eyes. He breathes out a slow breath; draws it in steady, by sheer force of will if not true calm.
Do the work. No trick. No choice. He can’t fix the world, but he can do his job, and that’s all it has ever really come down to. So Ithadel numbly considers his options and begins to plan what little mitigation he can offer. Nothing about what he’s witnessed here so far has inclined him towards optimism; better to plan for the worst case.
When Lip leans back in, it’s to find that Ithadel has partially unwrapped Phyllis’s ankle and is rearranging and reinforcing the splinting to provide more support. He doesn’t look up from his work as the prince speaks. His lips are pressed thin and pale.
“I’m starting to think,” Ithadel says, a bit distantly, “that the advice I’ve given you so far may not be well-tailored to your current situation.” And then he adds the dangerous part: “If I knew more about that situation, I might have different suggestions.”
Ithadel finishes with the princess’s leg, sets it back on the cushion, and dares a brief glance up at the prince to try to judge his reaction before turning back to his bag, measuring out a dose of pain tonic for the princess.
“Either way, my… your…” How on Earth am I supposed to address royalty– “Prince Lip, I would appreciate the opportunity to tend to your feet as well. Burst blisters present the risk of infection.”
It’s an assumption, but an assumption in which Ithadel is confident. The prince’s movements are ginger in the extreme. Ithadel swallows and offers the medication to Phyllis, avoiding eye contact and doing his best to minimize his overall presence.
(These aren’t audacious suggestions from a lowly subject. Of course not. They are entirely neutral possibilities, presented for the prince to take or leave as he will.)

Meet Bo Sinclair’s kids!
Okay, so this is based off the wonderful @ahmnom’s dad!Bo Sinclair along with a my own mixture.
Also, @modern-greek-tragedy, you can meet Dallas and his twin, Memphis
Jasmine Anna Sinclair
Tumblr media
She is the oldest daughter. She enjoys reading, writing, learning, and exploring. Jasmine was named after the the smell and flower, one of Bo’s favorite flowers.
She doesn’t speak soft, but she is shy about things around her. Does this mean she lets things sly? No. She’s the type of person that goes by “take no shit but do no harm”.
She can see and hear ghosts, so she knows about the wax figures and who her grandparents are.
She can sing beautifully, and her siblings love to hear it. She’s very talented with memorizing things, but she tries not to show how smart she is. When it slips, she gets embarrassed, but Bo loves it. He wasn’t smart growing up or shown any interest in school, so he’s happy seeing his child smarter than him.
Bo does teach her how to fix a car, and she’s really good at it! She enjoys how the parts are created and fit perfectly with each other, and she’s told her father this many times.
When she’s grown up, she’ll be the Fun English teacher and will be 5’6.
Memphis Beauregard Sinclair and Dallas Beauregard Sinclair
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Memphis (right) is twins to Dallas (left), and these two are inseparable. Memphis wears glasses for seeing, not reading, while Dallas doesn’t wear glasses but he does have dyslexia.
Dallas has a scar on his right cheek. He got that when he and his brother were fighting over a toy.
Like Jasmine, they can sing sweetly/nicely.
Memphis can hear ghost but not see them while Dallas can see ghosts and talk to them.
Both boys LOVE fixing cars with their father, can name all makes and models, and can hotwire Bo’s truck. However, Memphis is more of an arts guy, so he’ll learn how to work with wax and draw, but he’ll be fixing cars most of the time. Dallas loves cars and being in the garage. He hopes to own it one day or open his own.
They have the fighting spirit of a Sinclair, and been in fights at school and with each other. Bo tried not to sound like his parents, so he’ll ask for both sides before determining who was in the wrong. If he can’t pick, he’ll send them to their room to hash it out.
When they are not fighting, they are the biggest flirts like their father. Dallas is a natural charmer while Memphis is great at forming the sweetest words any person would hear. Even though they are labeled as “troublemakers”, they try to be gentlemen towards everyone when they feel like it.
When they grow up, Memphis will be a comic book artist and working at Dallas’s car shop/garage. Both will be 6’0 (but Dallas is half-an-inch taller).
Honeydew Maryann Sinclair, “Honey” for short
Tumblr media
She is the youngest Sinclair. She’s different from her siblings because she’s blind and has asthma. She can see things up super close but that’s it. Her right eye is brown/green while her left eye is blue.
Because of birth difficulties, she gets sick/weak easily. She got very sick one time that it scared Bo because there were some moments where he thought he was going to lose her.
She can talk but prefers not to, so she knows ASL. She doesn’t like pants, so she wears dresses year round and leggings. When she has to wear pants, she’ll complain and make it everyone’s problem.
Like her sister, she’s really smart and enjoys going to school, but she doesn’t have friends. Though everyone at her school/grade have agreed to keep her safe/protect her from bullies because she’s the sweetest person you’ll ever meet!
She is more musical gifted, which means she can play anything like the piano, violin, flute, tuba, drums— anything! Lester gets her a violin for her birthday, and she mainly plays that. She loves playing for her family and father; Bo loves when she plays.
Cants see or hear ghosts, but she can sense them like an empath.
She doesn’t know much about cars, but she knows enough to know there’s a problem and what should be done to fix it.
When she grows up, she’s a famous music player and activist for the disabled community, and she’s 5’4.

As per this suspect appearance, it is known that Anna eats ice cream, has survival training, and is in contact with penguins.
Synopsis
The older cousin of Ingrid, Anna, is the coordinator/manager for McMurdo Station.
Anna and Ingrid grew up together and have always been close; Anna views Ingrid as more of a sibling than her own brother. She has always looked out for the younger woman, and in return, Ingrid promises to always be there for Anna.
Anna met Emil at university. At first, it felt like a fairytale romance. He was smart, funny, handsome, and kind. Emil made Anna feel like a princess, and she loved every moment they shared. They married a couple of years after graduation and later had their first child.
But it was in marriage that Anna's fairytale life slowly turned into a nightmare. Suddenly, she couldn’t do anything right, and Emil criticized everything she did. He belittled her for not making his coffee eight, for incorrectly ironing his clothes, and he'd even yell at her if she forgot to do the dishes. Anna tried to do whatever Emil wanted so he would be happy, but every time she thought she'd finally mastered everything, a new problem would arise.
The abuse only got worse when the children came along. Emil's temper quickly rose from the sleepless nights, listening to the babies’ cries and dealing with the children's temper tantrums. He began hitting Anna to cope with the headaches and anger from his children. Anna took the hits so that her children wouldn't be on the receiving end and never said anything because Emil had convinced her that if she went to the police, he'd kill her and the children.
And so Anna suffered in silence for years. She never told anyone what was happening at home, not even when Ingrid and Christoper questioned her about her cuts and bruises. She'd always lie and say she tripped or hurt herself doing housework. But Christopher, who saw her almost every day at work, was suspicious of the constant injuries and began keeping a record of them in case something happened to her.
When Anna was pregnant with her youngest child, she learned that Emil had been hitting their children after her oldest daughter came to her with a bruised cheek, saying that Daddy had hit her. That was when Anna snapped; she could tolerate the abuse if it meant protecting her children, but she refused to let the kids become Emil's punching bags.
After Emil went out to drink with friends and the kids were in bed, Anna called the person she trusted most, Ingrid. After listening to her distraught rambling, Ingrid told her to take the kids, leave the house immediately, and stay with a friend she trusted until she could get there. Once she and Ingrid hung up, Anna called Christopher as she had no one else she could call for help since Emil had isolated her from her other friends.
Christopher agreed to help her with no hesitation. He offered to make the emergency move the next day while Emil was at work, so he and Anna each took the day off. Christopher spent the night preparing his house for Anna and the children, setting up the guest rooms, and making lists of supplies he would need to pick up. Likewise, Anna figured out everything she would need to pack for her and the kids once they and Emil had left for school and work.
The next day, Christoper arrived and helped Anna pack her and the kids' clothes, favourite toys, books, extra school supplies, and other essential items. They loaded the suitcase and boxes into the truck Christoper had borrowed from his neighbour, bringing everything to his house by the afternoon. They picked the kids up from school and informed the administration that Emil was not allowed to take them under any circumstances or to be contacted.
Once Ingrid had arrived, Anna began the battle of charging Emil for abuse, divorcing him, and winning full custody of her children. Though, it wasn't as challenging as Emil had made her believe it would be. With Ingrid's help and Christopher's detailed record of the injuries Emil had given her, it only took a few months for Emil to be sent to prison, the divorce to be finalized, and for her to be granted full custody of the kids with Emil having no parental or visitation rights. Anna even got a restraining order against Emil for her and the kids, forbidding him from contacting them and being within a thousand feet of them once he was released from prison.
With Emil in prison, Anna and her children focused on recovering from his abuse. Anna and the kids attended therapy to learn how to cope with their trauma. She also gave birth to her last child two months after Emil's arrest, with Christoper and Ingrid beside her.
Since Christoper had told Anna that she and the children could stay with him as long as needed, she focused on her health before looking into new living options. But Chris's home quickly became their home, and the kids loved their new house. Anna was scared about becoming a burden, but Christoper assured her he would never see her as that.
But Anna still contributed in any way she could. She would buy groceries, offer to pay bills, and did work around the house while on maternity leave. As the two fell into a routine, love blossomed between them. Christopher didn't want Anna to rush into a new relationship so soon, so he respected her decision to wait.
And his waiting would pay off. The two began officially dating a couple of years after Anna's divorce, and they couldn't be happier. The kids were also excited for their mother to finally have someone who truly loved her and claimed Christoper was her prince charming. Chris would chuckle every time he heard that and replied that he was just a simple physicist while Anna was a queen with whom he had earned the honour of receiving her love.
Anna would just roll her eyes fondly and kiss Christoper, telling him she was the lucky one.
As the years passed and their children grew, Anna and Christoper continued to further their careers. One day they were approached with job offers from McMurdo Station. They wanted Anna to become the new manager and Christoper as their theoretical physicist and nuclear researcher. The couple accepted the job offers and moved to Antarctica, with their kids staying with Anna's parents in Sweden. But the family video chats every day, so the homesickness is kept to a minimum.
When Ingrid informed her cousin that she and the Bureau would be visiting their station, Anna was ecstatic. She doesn't see the younger woman often since Ingrid joined the Bureau and was excited to have some bonding time with her. But the celebration would be put on hold after Emil's dead body had been discovered.
Anna was shocked when she learned Emil had been released from prison, became a pilot, and followed her to Antarctica. She had been notified of his release, but she had hoped he would abide by the restraining order against him. She knew she shouldn't have trusted him to follow the law after what he did to her and the kids.
She immediately reported Emil to his Captain, and Elijah was stunned to learn about Emil's past. He promised to notify his airline and have Emil's license taken away so he would never fly again. He knows what it's like to be hurt by the one you thought loved you most and swore he would do everything he could to keep Anna safe.
Christopher also helped to protect Anna from her ex-husband. He refused to let her be alone while Emil was at the station, and if he couldn't be with her, he would ask Elijah or Camila to take his place. Neither would refuse the request and kept a close eye on Emil in case he tried anything to hurt Anna. Even Milagros could tell something was bad about the man and stuck close to Anna whenever she could.
She would have gotten her penguin friends to attack Emil, but Camila told her to let the grown-ups handle it.
That doesn't mean Milagros didn't send a penguin or two to bite the man a few times. But shh, it's a secret!
(Camila knows and won't say anything to Mila; she's secretly very proud.)
After Emil's killer had been arrested, Anna helped put together a party to celebrate the Bureau's mole's arrest and the return of Fili, Oberon, and Avi. She was happy to see the team relaxing after all the stress they went through and hopes they can move past their ex-teammate's betrayal, especially Lars. She didn't get to meet the man, but she knows it's not easy being betrayed by your spouse. She prays that he will get the help he needs to recover.
Eventually, the Bureau's vacation ends, and Anna says goodbye to her cousin. Ingrid promised to call her more often, and she looks forward to hearing about their adventures as they work to take down SOMBRA. Anna will always worry about her cousin, especially after what Ingrid's been through, but she's happy Ingrid has found herself friends she can trust and rely on. Even if Ingrid still keeps some secrets close to her heart.
Anna later made a small cameo in The Darkest Hour alongside the rest of the Bureau's family and friends when they visited the team following their defeat of SOMBRA.

Muscle Memory (Outlander, Jamie/Claire)
“She’s only hungry,” Claire tells him softly, sitting against the headboard and already turning to reach for Faith. “Go back to sleep.”
Wingspan (Veronica Mars, Logan/Veronica)
It would do terrible, wonderful things to his ego if she told him she went to sleep smiling just from that.
Here's All the Melting Thrill (And Here's the Kindling Fire) (Outlander, Jamie/Claire)
“Beauchamp,” he says, measured and serious, and then, “Claire,” and she’s swinging her feet to the floor before he’s even said anything else. She’s never heard him use her first name.
things left behind and the things that are ahead (MCU, Steve/Peggy)
"Grandpa," Will repeats, "I'm really thirsty." He accompanies the trickling motion of the sign along his throat with an enormous eyed gaze of desperation, a desert waif sort of look that Steve has no idea where he learned.
The Ninety-Nine Percent (Veronica Mars, Logan/Veronica)
"You really are a buzzkill." He laughs softly, steps forward and tentatively hugs her. "Thanks for coming to tell me." Her shoulders are suddenly hard beneath his hands and he releases her so he can look at her face. "Of course there's more," he whispers.
Same Old Story (but it's told a different way) (Veronica Mars, Logan/Veronica, Logan/OC)
"In your mind, that country is just a giant red light district to you, isn't it?"
"No, in my mind it's an unfortunately too limited red light district."
Woman Borne (MCU, Steve/Peggy)
Sonia set the mug on Peggy’s desk. It was a white one with black and red letters, the original message (“I’m not bossy, I’m the boss”) altered with a permanent marker to read “I’m bossy and I’m the boss.” It had been a gift from Barton.
Oh, But Aren't You Already My Darling? (MCU, Steve/Peggy)
She goes to the village and asks around, and is eventually pointed to the town’s one guest house. The building itself is lovely: sprawling and neatly arranged, with what Peggy would guess are lovely bedrooms if she could actually get inside one of them. But instead, when she is nearly ready to lie down in the foyer, she meets what she expects is the base commander’s sister, a pointed woman who, when Peggy requests a room, indicates a placard beside the desk: Gentlemen and married couples only.
Out of the Frying Pan (MCU, Steve/Peggy)
Heaving a sigh exponentially more exhausted than her mother’s, the kids recites, “That I should think before I say something rude, and count to ten. And then you told me that it’s better to be smart and wait for the best moment to make sure a person learns a lesson, but Daddy said that you have to remind people what’s right even if it’s hard, and I know it’s not right to be mean about the cooks.”
Homemakers (MCU, Steve/Peggy)
“You know,” says Steve two weeks in, when they can make passable chocolate cake and vegetable stew and hamburgers, and silky smooth mashed potatoes, “I’m not sure that proper American food is the way to go.”
Peggy crumples the recipe card for something called a souffle salad which involves mayonnaise and lemon juice and olives and canned tuna. “You’re very smart, darling,” she tells him, and walks out. He leaves the apron and follows her.
