“7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?”

Ngl, I find a lot of the way the fandom talks about him somewhere on the spectrum of disappointing; however I do like how everyone knows just how much Henry and Charlotte love eachother. It’s universal knowledge that they love eachother more than life itself <3

“20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?”

Peter: Alexander Lightwood, from the beginning. Peters got a little trio going on with Alexander and Zachary Carstairs, plus there are his sisters, but Alexander and Peter are Will and Jem level parabatai. They love each other dearly, and really are perfect for each other.

Marigold: Honestly she’s not great at the whole friendship thing. She gets along really well with Grace, her older brother but, you know, if Christopher had lived? They would have absolutely loved each other.

Thelma: If we’re looking at younger, roaring 20s aged Thelma, despite being a lot younger she gets along really well with Eugenia Lightwood- Thelma was convinced she was the coolest person ever as a wee little child, and once she got a little older they hang like old friends.

Also, her wife. Thelma enjoys her day to day company as much she enjoys everything else about her.

I wonder if some of siblings with twins, triplets, and others get along well. We know the monster triplet seems close to each other, decuplets get along well, just some silly siblings fights, sometimes, Smoothie with Citron and Cinnamon, they just argue when she used her devil fruit power on their subordinates to take the energy to her attacks, Chiffon still loves Lola even after leaving the family. But I wonder how is Cracker with Custard and Angel, Brulee with Broye, and Opera in his group of quintuplets.

Thank you for this ask, anon, that one was super fun to figure out! 💕 We decided to go through all the twin/triplet/etc. groups in the Charlotte family and describe their relations quickly. Naturally, then ❗long post ahead❗

Group 1: Katakuri/Daifuku/Oven

This three get along great and are indeed, very close to each other. Despite their personality differences, they spent a lot of time together already in childhood and even now they make sure that they find moments to cherish in each other's presence often. Katakuri feels more comfortable around these two than around most, especially since they both know his secret and never judged him for his mouth. Oven and Daifuku find him amazing, sure, but they also still treat him as their brother, not an unattainable ideal, and that allows Katakuri to somewhat relax.

Group 2: Mondee/Amande/Hachee/Effilee

Although Mondee is unstoppable in her efforts to bring these four closer together, being a bit jealous of some other twin/triplet/quadruplet sets, Amande, Hachee, and Effilee are all individualists and quite distinct personalities. Therefore, they might have a bit of a soft spot for each other, but these quadruplets only properly hang out once every three months or so; always from Mondee's initiative.

Group 3: Opera/Counter/Cadenza/Cabaletta/Gala

This group definitely likes to hang out together! They aren't super close and they don't know a lot about each other's personal problems or private life, but they do enjoy regular activities that they can do together: like brawl fights or going out for a few drinks. However, Opera is always a bit out of place in the group. Since he doesn't so much enjoy the same things the others like, they sometimes don't even bother inviting him, and they might be kind of jealous that out of all of them, he was the one who received a Devil Fruit. Gala always brings attention to it, trying not to exclude Opera, but sometimes, unfortunately, he still gets left out.

Group 4: Cracker/Custard/Angel

In their childhood, Custard and Angel got along well, but Cracker was always annoyed by the two and their constant attempts to play with his hair, put flower crowns on him, and more of that girly shit he loathed. Now, Angel changed quite a bit, toughened up, and became known as a kind of feral gal, who loves her triplets, but might sometimes scare/disgust while trying to make them tougher. In effect, Custard and Cracker grew ever so slightly closer. It helps that the girls stopped trying to girlify him, too.

Group 5: Brulee/Broye

Personality-wise, these two are polar opposites. Generally, Broye pities Brulee for not having found a husband yet, as well as for how her lifestyle usually looks like: rather than cooking and gardening she prefers partying and flirting, rather than living in an unpretentious hut, she prefers glamour. Brulee, on the other hand, is always nice to Broye and likes her, however, their relationship grew a bit awkward ever since Broye caught her staring at a wedding dress and bought her one, claiming that 'she's never going to get married anyway, so she may as well just wear it now'. Brulee knows that her twin meant well and thus wears the dress to this day (was it just us or did Brulee's first dress really look like a wedding dress); still she can't help but feel slightly hurt.

Group 6: Nusstorte/Basskarte/Dosmarche

These three see each other mostly as rivals, plain and simple. Basskarte is especially salty that the other two received Minister positions while he didn't, but even between Nusstorte and Dosmarche you can expect only constant attempts to one the other up rather than any sibling closeness.

Group 7: Moscato/Mash/Cornstarch

Moscato and Cornstarch adore each other! They're both idealists and wholesome people, so they can talk with each other for hours and feel very comfortable with each other's presence. Now, Mash is slightly excluded from this: they still like her and are always nice to her, but don't hang out with her half as often. She doesn't mind, though; she prefers Broye to those softies anyway.

Group 8: Compo/Laurin

Compo is very protective of Laurin. Despite only being minutes older than him and despite his short height, he always makes sure no one makes fun of his twin, and has a sixth sense for when the latter is uncomfortable. In return, Laurin is very grateful, and if he could ever return all the favors, he would.

Group 9: Mozart/Marnier

These two are your like, most typical ✨twinsies✨ sisters. They like to wear matching outfits sometimes, they gossip with each other lots, and generally they get along great; although, unlike some other twins on this list, they do have their own, separate lives.

Group 10: High Fat/Tablet

High Fat and Tablet probably have the worst relationship from all the siblings on this list. Even more opposite than Brulee and Broye, they disliked each other since early childhood, when Tablet relentlessly picked on High Fat, and the latter interpreted what Tablet thought was merely playful as outright cruel. As a result of their different perception on things, their antipathy only grew, and they prefer not to talk these days if it can be avoided.

Group 11: Smoothie/Citron/Cinnamon

Smoothie, Citron, and Cinnamon are each other's favorite people, full stop. They all have similar views on life, know each other's secrets, and they love their dynamic; in this dynamic, Smoothie normally takes on a role of the leader, with Cinnamon and Citron often looking for her approval and even mimicking her sometimes, but all this happens without them ever feeling consciously like there is any clear hierarchy.

Group 12: Saint-Marc/Basans

In their childhood, Saint-Marc and Basans were often confused due to their similar facial features. This experience left them bitter, so now, despite not hating each other, they both really try to stand out from the other. For Saint-Marc, the armor was a method; Basans went so far as to wear fake horns, being quite happy whenever it was assumed that Melise was his real sister.

Group 13: Galette/Poire

Poire likes Galette, even with the latter's anxiety and all. Galette, in return, is always kind to Poire, however, she cannot help but be overly stressed out by her sister's often dangerous ways of life. While Mont d'Or is a calming presence for Galette, Poire heightens her worries, so she'd rather hang out with the older brother, all things considered.

Group 14: Snack/Bavarois

Similarly to the first set of quintuplets, Snack and Bavarois like to share fast food or a few drinks, but don't necessarily tell each other much about their life, or their hopes and fears. Their hang out sessions are a bit rarer than for the quintuplets, though, even if they became more frequent when Snack lost his Sweet Commander post.

Group 15: Prim/Praline

Prim always looked at Praline from above, being both smarter and stronger than her. Still, their relations were somewhat amicable until Praline's betrayal. They used to enjoy at least shopping for clothes together, but now, Prim is pissed that Praline left, without telling her, taking with her a large portion of Totto's underwater population, and leaving her behind for Mama to take out her rage on her. If they meet again, Prim will not hold back and will definitely attack Praline just like the rest of her family, if not even more viciously.

Group 16: Kanten/Kato/Montb

Those three are completely neutral in their relations. They have distinct goals in life and personalities, and don't really think of each other as 'their kind of person' but can definitely have a friendly small talk when they meet; which happens rather rarely, considering they don't really seek these meetings out.

Group 17: Chiffon/Lola

As we all know, Chiffon and Lola love each other lots! Chiffon was always very protective of her younger sister and supported her fully in pursuing her dreams; little Lola, on the other hand, would beat up anyone who even looked at her twin wrongly. Since Lola left, they missed each other plenty, but Chiffon never blamed her for leaving and was just very happy to be reunited with her eventually.

Group 18: Mobile/Marble/Myukuru/Maple

These quadruplets get along in pairs. Mobile and Maple like each other lots and hang out with each other plenty, and so do Marble and Myukuru; however, between these two groups, there's little care and more of a neutral outlook.

Group 19: Mascarpone/Joscarpone

Mascarpone and Joscarpone are essentially inseparable. They know everything each other, finish each other's sentences, share literally everything (including clothes), and could be easily confused if not for their different gender. If you tried to keep them apart even for a few days, they'd probably be very uncomfortable and feel lonelier than ever.

Group 20: Newichi/Newji/Newsan/Newshi/Newgo/Nutmeg/Akimeg/Allmeg/Harumeg/Fuyumeg

The decuplets generally all tolerate each other, but hate to be confused. Overall, the boys get along, and so do the girls, but they don't mingle beyond these groups so much, with the exception of Newshi and Harumeg, who are best friends. There is just quite a bit of rivalry between the boys and the girls; they can cooperate great in fives, but as a whole 10-person group they might struggle to communicate all that well.

Group 21: Dolce/Dragee

Basically Mascarpone and Joscarpone on steroids. These two literally speak in unison at times, have their own secret communication system, sometimes switch their clothes which makes everyone confuse them, and get completely miserable and shy whenever separated. We'll see if they grow out of it ever or not!

My Top 10 Favorite Ducktales Characters

NO. 10 Hewey Duck

At number 10 is Huey!

Hewey has been my least favorite triplet for most of the series; it by no means he’s a bad character or any of the sorts, Huey is more down to earth compared to other characters. It’s hard to say much about Hewey other than how he’s a sweet, fun character I’m glad is around.

His development in season three was good, though the weakest of the three. Kinda half-baked and rushed, as if the creators thought, “we have to add some Huey development since this is his season.” With Dewey and Louie’s, it felt like their respective seasons revolved around them instead of the other way around. The only episode I really think perfectly gave Huey development and at the same time move the main plot forward fluidly was the “Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks!” with the whole Huey vs. Violet rivalry. Y’know what also sucks. Huey wasn’t even that integral to the finale. That annoys me to no end.

Now, I’m going to end this with positive notes.

What got Huey into the list was his sweet nature and how integral he is to the team’s balance. Every team needs someone who represents order and Huey is just that. Plus, his innocent love for romance is so cute. I love the episode where him and Webby were setting a date up for Fenton and Gandra.

NO. 9 Scrooge McDuck

Scrooge is probably the most interesting protagonist I’ve ever watched. Unlike most of them, he’s more of an anti-hero than a pure hero like Steven Universe or Luz from Owl House.

I don’t really have much to say about him because I don’t love him as much as the characters above him. He probably has the best development- Lena’s rivaling his really well. In the beginning, Scrooge was a grumpy miser but now, thanks to the kids, his heart is softer and more open. His cheapness is annoying, but the good qualities overthrow the bad.

Scrooge most likely would’ve been higher in the list if “The Life & Crimes of Scrooge McDuck” didn’t happen- or at least occurred in season two instead since humility and hard work was the main theme. The writers went overboard showing the audience how bad of a person Scrooge was in the past, especially with him taking advantage of the poor villagers and leaving them in their states-without even helping them. This episode downgraded Scrooge pretty badly.

NO. 8 Donald Duck

Although on the lower half of the list, I still hold so much love and respect for this version of Donald. He’s such a massive improvement from his previous iteration. The creators made him kind and strong-willed but kept his anger issues. Though, they turned that flaw into a more comedic and positive aspect of Donald since he uses that intense anger to protect his family. Speaking of that, his relationship with the triplets is absolutely adorable. He loves and protects them like a great father, and I’m still a bit peeved that characters didn’t acknowledge that more. Instead, their relationship was sidelined and pretty much haphazardly... replaced-I don’t know if that’s the right word- with May and June.

Another thing that annoyed me was Donald’s voice treatment. The creators pretty much portrayed his speaking problem as a joke, which is terrible. I hope to goodness that children with speaking troubles don’t take those “jokes” to heart because there is nothing wrong with having a different voice. It’s also surprising how much characters mostly don’t understand him when I can seventy percent of the time. This complaint is more towards season one since that was the season where most of the jokes happened.

Anyways, I hope this Donald will start a new beginning for the next iterations of him. A nice guy who has anger issues but means well. Same with him and Daisy’s relationship-another massive improvement the writers did. They are such a great couple from the episodes we got with them and this dynamic should continue.

NO. 7 Webby Vanderquack

Another character who was massively improved was the great Webby Vanderquack!

In the original series, she was a boring damsel-in-distress with no personality-pretty much like the earliest Disney princesses. The ‘17 creators did such a great job molding reboot Webby into a character who can kill you with kindness or impressive fighting skills. This pink-loving queen is probably the sweetest character I’ve ever met; I just want to hug her.

I love her optimism and caring personality. She was able to change Lena for the better and not give up on her when almost everyone did. Webby is the best friend you can have.

While I’m not fully on board with the Webby finale twist, I really liked how her interest in the McDucks played some big part of the finale. Do I wish it was in different circumstances? Yes, but I’m still glad Webby got an important moment for herself. That interrogation scene was very emotional; seeing Beakley fully breakdown like she did was shocking and really set the mood of how pivotal that moment. I literally almost cried seeing Webby so heartbroken by her grandmother’s lies- this pink baby deserves all the love in the world. At least she found out the truth and gained a parental figure in her life.

NO. 6 Louie Duck

I’ve gotta admit; I did not like Louie that much at the start of the show. Greedy and selfish characters usually don’t get my love, but season two changed. A lot more depth was added to him such as his insecurities and anxieties. I struggle with these issues and it was nice to see a character show that as well. One of my favorite arcs was Louie’s trouble connecting with Della; it was realistic and not rushed. While watching this season, I was often having trouble connecting with people, even old friends. Sort of having someone experiencing them alongside me made me feel less insecure and lonely.

His development was really good too, from beginning to end. At first, Louie was someone who was willing to execute every angle no matter how much it could hurt his loved ones. Yet, he grew to be a humbler person who now knows the consequences of his angles. A favorite episode of mine is “The Richest Duck in the World” because of this development. Seeing Louie clean the Bombei’s shoes with Scrooge made my heart melt.

What lowered him down to number eight was season three. There were a few episodes that backtracked Louie’s development like “The Trickening” and “The Fight for Castle McDuck” episodes. He was a real jerk towards Huey for no reason. It frustrated me enough to affect this list. And I also prefer other characters more.

NO. 5 Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera

You can’t expect me to not put this quirky and adorable dork in the top five! He’s one of the best boys in the show. Him being voiced by the great Lin-Manuel Miranda does add some bonus points- you can tell I’m a big Hamilton fan.

Like Webby, Fenton was drastically improved. He became this sweet, scatterbrained scientist who only wants to help people. I instantly fell in love with him. And it got even better when Fenton became Gizmoduck- my second favorite DT hero. He deserved so much more screen time, especially in season 3; “Beaks in the Shell” was not a good enough episode for Fenton and his relationship with Gandra. There should’ve been more. The finale moments he had was not satisfying enough, particularly him and DW sort of team up. It was rushed.

If a Darkwing Duck reboot takes place in the ’17 universe then Fenton must be a major character- at least show up in ten episodes a season. A Gizmoduck and Darkwing crossover is essential, and I will riot if it that doesn’t happen. And more Fandra, my fifth -maybe fourth- favorite ship.

I also had a big crush on Fenton back in season one. You can’t help but love him this sweety pie. This pretty much influenced thirty percent of his placement.

NO. 4 Launchpad McQuack

This muscular dummy is amazing! He brings a sense of comedy and light to every episode he is in. It’s infectious as h*ll!

I liked Launchpad instantly. He’s kind and wants the best for people. Optimistic characters are almost the best characters. They are great reminders of how there are still many good people in the world. Whenever I’m down and watch Ducktales, LP makes me feel a lot better with his dumb yet endearing moments. My favorite jokes are literally LP sending Beakley an invitation saying not to come and when he tried to make small talk with Gosalyn at the window; I can never stop laughing at those moments.

There are times when Launchpad’s dumbness irks me, but his good qualities overthrow that. Though, I wish he wasn’t used too much as comedy relief; LP had the potential to gain more development than what he got. I’ll give an example. Learning about his family would’ve been great to know- an appearance wouldn’t have hurt either. It could’ve opened a reason to why LP cares about Scrooge’s opinion and cares about him like a dad. Maybe there’s some bitterness in LP’s relationship with his dad and that’s why he doesn’t talk about his parents. Loopey not being introduced was a missed opportunity. Big brother Launchpad is all I need.

I also have a small crush on Launchpad, though mostly for his personality and voice. He’s still cute *wink.*

NO. 3 Drake Mallard

We made it to the top three! With the dashing caped crusader Darkwing Duck starting us off!

It’s funny how much I love a character who’s only appeared in like five-maybe six- episodes enough to put him in the top three. I had some trouble defining many reasons why I love him; it’s this weird connection I have with DW. He’s this dorky dummy who loved a big part of his childhood enough to make it his reality, yet I love him so much.

I think what made me fall in love with him was how similar we are. Like him, I was a meek person who got pushed a few times- either physically or mentally. Those times also inspired me to grow stronger and be an inspiration for the next generation. I can be pretty clumsy too(lol). Characters I see myself in are usually really high in my love list and it shouldn’t be surprising that Drake is one of them.

His kind and genuine nature was also what drew me in. And, I just made this realization, this is the first time I don’t prefer the original iteration over the latest one. I still love ‘91 Drake but he’s too arrogant.

Unlike the original DW, Drake became a hero to help others- though a wish for glory played a bit of a part too. This clumsy, stuttering actor took a step to become his hero and a future one for children like him. That’s admirable. His lovable personality also being so cute enough for me to want to give a big hug is a good addition.

NO. 2 Lena Sabrewing

Hands down Lena had the best development!

She started off as this distant loner who followed the gray area of morality. Now, Lena is a part of this loving family and her own person. A few of her episodes are my favorites, such as “Friendship Hates Magic!” and “A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill.” They are well-written episodes and hit me in the feels.

Like Louie and Drake, I see myself in Lena. There are times I’ve been afraid I’ll take on my family’s bad habits or turn like them. That’s why I love “A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill!” Watching Lena try to be good enough and feeling insecure reminded me of the dark times I usually think about. There are even times I have dreams of these issues. The creators must have been inspired by me (lol). Though, I am kind of jealous of Lena because of how great her friends are. I want friends like Webby and Violet.

Even so, I do have some issues with Lena. Her magic arc was not written as well as her previous arcs. This might be more of a personal opinion than anything, but I’m still going to say it. Lena learned to control her magic too quickly, and it was treated as more like a plot device. And a shaking one at that. For example, in “The Split Sword of Swanstantine” Lena was able to stop time and send her and Huey into his mindscape. But, somehow, she couldn’t conjure a burst of energy to attack Steelbeak; granted, Huey mentioned that, yet Lena’s reasoning was dumb. Attacking someone with magic is way easier than doing what she did. I’m a little lenient on this since that idea lead to more Huey development, though I’m still going to critique it.

A great thing about Lena learning was her temporary outfit change. She looks absolutely amazing in light colors, which I didn’t expect, and her hair design is what I saw she would look good in. The eye shape is kind of weird.

Lena’s magic mode is in my list of cosplays.

NO. 1 Dewey Duck

Finally, number one is Dewey Duck!

Dewey has stolen my heart since the beginning. His positivity and fun nature always make me smile, even during the toughest times.

In my opinion, Dewey has the best arc/development of the triplets. His arc trying to find out what happened to his mother was what kept me watching Ducktales and helped me see why this show is so special. Many of my favorite moments are in season one, specifically ones involving Dewey. For instance, the scene in “The Last Crash of the Sunchaser!” where Dewey was willing to risk his life to get the last piece of paper and possibly solve what happened to Della was emotional. Hearing the desperation in his voice while pleading with Scrooge to tell him what happened hit me hard. I can’t imagine how much pain HDL have gone through not knowing what happened and thinking they aren’t allowed to ask. It would be terrible to experience.

Another moment I loved was in “The Spear of Selene.” It was when Dewey was hesitant to know what happened as the possibility that Della was a bad person grew more prominent. He looked so defeated admitting that realization and it reminded me of myself. There were moments when I realized that my parents were not as good as I thought. It hurt me a lot. At least sweet Dewey didn’t have to go through that. The scene when Dewey started tearing up seeing his mom in the sphere was also heartwarming. I wanted to give him the biggest hug.

Dewey’s insecurities of not being good enough and to be loved is what I struggle with too. Its kind of different because I have trouble believing anyone loves me while he wants everybody to like him. Confidence is not my forte.

This was the other post I had written out that got accidently deleted so I'm writing it all again.

1993? And Lila was 4? TOO MUCH COINCIDENCE! I still stand by my theory that Lila is one of the 43.

Yes, she has a father but that could just be her mother's husband. It's just too coincidental that the show would make her exactly the same age as the Hargreeves for no reason.

Ah the red heels. Hi Handler. These heels are really pretty though, very wicked witch with the ruby slippers. Even that outfit kind of screams wicked witch meets Cruella de Vil 😏

Kill parents, adopt child. Interesting MO, Handler. Like an evil Bruce Wayne (does this make Handler Owlman? I know, I'm not funny).

Oh, Handler pulling a Reginald with Lila!

Except, you know, she actually gives Lila positive reinforcement and affection, unlike Reggie. But her training seems just as brutal and inhumane for a child (and possibly even more violent) as Reginald's...

It's curious and interesting, a nice foil. Handler succeeds where Reggie fails- creating a loyal and effective soldier will into adulthood- because she was willing to give the kid affection and compassion. Reggie saw himself as some sort of hero creating heros but he failed at the most basic and human thing that even the villain understood.

-The filmography in these training scenes is brilliant.

-Ah, that prom look is the same as half of my classmates when we graduated 🤣 down to the blue makeup.

I'm guessing Lila's "prom"/"graduation" was her first solo assassination?

Wait, Handler wants to protect Five...? What the hell is she up to now?

Talking about killing people like it's a fun hobby 🤨

She's definitely following her own agenda here and she's leading Lila into danger. The question is if she's going to undermine the Commission for revenge of if she wants to prove her ability to get promoted back into administrative ranks of the Commission.

Either way, this will not end well for Five.

Lila is going to end up having to choose between Diego and Handler, isn't she?

Five stays in the car to give Luther space... No matter what Five says he actually cares about his siblings' feelings, doesn't he? He's the most overprotective of them all and always has been. It's sweet.

Ah, Luther and Vanya bonding over Five being an asshole. ☺️

I'm actually really happy to see Luther owning up to his mistakes instead of trying to act like the flawless leader. I think he grew a lot after accepting that Reginald wasnt perfect and I'm glad to see that growth still happening as he learns how to be an independent person. I just hope his guilt doesn't turn into even more self-hatred.

Yeah, Sissy's feelings for Vanya are not healthy at all. In fact they mirror Vanya's feelings for Leonard- she's unhappy with her life and clinging to the first person that gives her attention. She wants help, she wants to be rescued, she's touch and attention starved. She's co-dependant and emotionally manipulative.

I'm not saying Sissy is a bad person, she's not, she's a sad person stuck in an unhappy marriage, terrified of being abandoned (almost paranoid) and exhausted under a lot of pressure dealing with a disabled child. And then in comes Vanya, who is perfect with Harlan, so loving and kind and has nothing else to pour all her attention towards. Of course Sissy sees salvation in Vanya and is desperate to keep her.

I'm not saying Vanya and Sissy can't have a beautiful healthy relationship, they can, but not like this. Sissy is clinging too tight and using Vanya to make herself feel better and make her life easier. They both deserve better than that and I hope they get it.

I'm starting to think that all relationships in this season might be doomed to fail:

-Sissy and Vanya have a co-dependant and emotionally unhealthy infatuation and Sissy is married to a man that, while not great, still clearly loves her;

-Raymond and Allison have too many secrets between them that are causing a major rift, they can fix it but there's also the chance that Ray might not be able to accept the truth about her;

-Lila is a double agent using Diego to get close to Five, she seems to be developing feelings but the fact that she's lying about who she is and working for Handler is obviously toxic;

-Klaus is pining over a person that Dave has not yet become and while he only wants to save Dave's life, it's obvious there's too big an experience and culture gap between them for a relationship to flourish;

-Luther and Allison have become one-sided and less innocent and puppy-love than before, now it really is just creepy and unhealthy (whereas before it was understandable because they grew up together under an emotionally unavailable father and isolated from the real world, naturally they became attached and confused their feelings, their attachment wasn't healthy but it was justified and almost innocent... Not anymore though);

-we have no concrete proof yet, but it seems Ben MIGHT be pining over a girl that might not even see him, he's dead, it might be an interesting dynamic storywise, but it's not going to happen, it's unhealthy and unfair;

Some of these couples might still survive and become great, it's still really in the season after all, but they have a lot of growing to do before they get there.

Atlantis Days AU/Ghidorah Pulls An Anakin AU

Is it even considered an AU?

Anyway, I watched some GMK clips and two Wikizilla videos on GMK Mothra, Ghidorah and Baragon then I thought, "Hey, they should do these 'KG as the good guy scenarios' more often." which then turned into "What if Ghidorah was a good guy (read: morally ambiguous but not evil) back in the day but pulled an Anakin Skywalker?"

Then these designs happened:

Some notes on this AU(?) Warning: canon divergence probably

- Everyone is younger here. Like I guess college age by Titan standards?? If we're talking who's the eldest and who's the youngest, well, Eldest is tied between the Ghidorah Triplets and Mothra but no one knows how old Ghidorah is (they're still considered young by their planet's standards, though) and Mothra and Rodan take turns being the youngest, mostly thanks to Mothra dying and coming back.

- Dagon is the Alpha of this time period and Gojira is his heir. They are not related but they do have a familial mentor-student relationship. Dagon /probably/ would've adopted Goji had he lived longer

- Mothra is sorta Dagon's daughter?? They're close friends and he plays parent whenever Mothra is reborn as a larva. Okay, maybe she /is/ his daughter.

- Rodan is Dagon's foster son, taking him in after his entire flock got slaughtered by something. Rodan's parents also took in Dagon's son (yep, Dagon is the biological father of BabyG) since I sorta headcanon that Alphas trust someone to be the surrogate/foster parent of their young and well, Rodan's parents were kinda suited for the job since they're loyal to Dagon, are great fighters and no one is dumb enough to invade a nest situated in a volcano. As thanks for their service and also out of pity, he took in Rodan (Did I explain that well??) Btw, the egg doesn't hatch until the Beginnings of the Mass Hibernation. Also, Rodan and Dagon have a good father-son relationship, even if Rodan sometimes likes to annoy Dagon.

- The Ghidorah Triplets are an anomaly, having fallen from the sky but, thanks to a really rough landing which resulted to bad head injuries, they have no memory of their life prior to their fall. They were initially taken in by Leviathan before being dumped on Orochi when they were a little older. Years later, Orochi then sent them to go train under Dagon and maybe figure out who they were. P.S. They eventually fo find out about their past. . . Their not so good and fun past. . . Which resulted in them going back to their conquering ways

- The six of them were actually close friends back in the day

•Gojira and the Triplets had a friendly rivalry going on, especially in terms of combat. However, the Ghidorahs are also pretty jealous on Goji being Dagon's heir but they don't know why (when they remember their past, they find out why)

• Goji and Rodan see each other as brothers but they also like messing with each other. Goji is usually the one that bails Rodan out and makes sure he doesnt get into too much trouble or even hurt while Rodan cheers Goji up and is usually there to back him up. They also have a habit of throwing tiny pebbles at each other.

• Mothra is everyone's mom friend but she surprisingly Moms the Ghidorahs the most, mostly because of their mysterious origins and their own individual flaws that will warrant them an asskicking (Ichi being an arrogant douche, Ni being irritable and quick-tempered but then again, he doesnt mind fighting everyone and San being too curious and not too bright). Ichi usually gets annoyed, Ni is indifferent at first but does get annoyed too while San doesn't mind. They secretly appreciate it, though

• Mothra still Moms Goji 'Too Tired for your BS but I will still kick your ass' and Rodan 'Will start a fist fight for kicks'. However, at least Goji helps her out by acting as Tired Dad friend though, Rodan does help. . . By fighting people. Also, to be fair, Goji ends up fighting people too but only if someone insults his friends, especially Mothra.

• Rodan and the Triplets are disaster friends who get into trouble a lot, usually them getting into brawls with others or with each other (to be fair, it's all in good fun in the latter case). Though, when they're not causing trouble, they're probably chilling at a temple or a tavern. Rodan has a different dynamic with each triplet but he's still close with all three of them.

- If Rodan or Dagon is busy, everyone takes turns watching over the Egg. Mothra is the most trusted for obvious reasons.

- Yes, Goji and Mosu have a crush on each other but are lowkey trying to egg the other into asking the other out. And no, neither of them have cracked yet. Yes, Rodan and Ghidorah have a crush on each other but they're hella confused. On Rodan's side, it's "Do I have a crush on one of them or all three of them??" While on the triplets' side, it's "WTF is this feeling???"

Design Notes:

- I headcanon Atlantis as a Melting Pot aka a lot of cultures and races integrate here and have a huge influence on the place hence the outfit influences. Also, you can totally see the D&D influences in some of the outfits.

- Mothra's outfit is based on one of the Shobijin's outfits, just a bit more suited for flying and being in a kingdom in the middle of the sea. I tried to make it as extra as possible, I swear. Surprisingly,the fluff coat doesnt get in the way of her wings

- Am I the only one who actually likes the idea of Rodan having feathers? Idk, it sounds cool. He doesn't have feathers when he's fighting, though. Also, thanks to his tail and the fact that his wing membrane is also connected to the said tail, Rodan wears low rise bottoms. Also also, he wears shorts under his kilt.

- Goji tends to prefer simpler clothes since he doesn't want any fancy stuff getting in the way of him swimming or mediating but he doesn't mind wearing fancy clothes, though. Yes, he also likes wearing his hakama like that. Mothra can be caught staring at it

- The Triplets were originally supposed to be dressed in Celtic Clothing before I decided for celtic-inspired fantasy clothes instead. It's just emphasize on how out of place they are on Earth. Also, their styles have some differences because people got fed up with trying to guess which brother is which. However, they were matching armor when training/fighting. San arguabling dresses more simpler, especially when he's out hunting. Wouldn't want to ruin your fancy clothes when out hunting.

- Their heights are as follows: Mothra is 5'5, Rodan is 6'0, Godzilla is 7'3 and Ghidorah is 7'5. Yes, the boys hit their heads on doorways, especially Ghids.

Wow, Desmond ended being popular and he is like the last one I ship myself with! xD I tossed him on the pool due to pure nostalgia, since I was more into his alter ego, Jean Descole back in the day before the announcement of Miracle Mask, getting his crown as King of my heart by Lando, but once in a while I think about my fan story where, using the power of writing I made not one but 3 self inserts, and fun (by that I mean Layton style sad stuff) happens ‘<’ But here, small list that I am making on the go. Gotta point out that I haven0t played the second trilogy of games lmao. The self insert I ship Desmond with is named Amara, and I always refer to my inserts in third person.

Amara is a triplet with Alba and Alvaro, the tree child of recognized archaelogist from Mexico, and they had to give up on one of the girlsto maintain themselves secure, so Amara grew up and was trained to be another agent, until she failed a mission and was supposed murdered and tossed somehwere and Desmond found her (around their ealy 20′s).

Thanks to the training and such, and her own reserved nature, Amara lacks abilities to express emotions, she isn’t cold hearted or anything alike. But was a hard time for Desmont to understand her body language.

Their relationship was a slow process (as all my ships, no love at first sight or that fuzz) where Desmont went out of his own boundaries, shaping himself in the quiet but kind gentleman we know for Amara’s sake.

His favorite thing to do was to play the piano to her, and read her whatever book, his choices were mostly adventure readings which Amara also seemed to enjoy, she showed curiosity asking him a lot about how he managed to make some notes combos or about the readings.

In exchange, Amara taught him all what she learned in her trainings as a spy and mercerany for Targent, making Desmond a skilled swordman and close combat competent fighter.

His horrible jokes make her roll her eyes, but she actually giggles with his puns for some reason, but that makes him pround of himself.

Coming from a family of archaelogists, she has in the blood curiosity, but she is more of a paleantologist, she is very found on animals and Desmond supports her getting her all non-human he finds in his own expeditions.

They got indeed married, and this this makes Amara that “random” wife he once had, and they well, had a baby, that daughter mentioned in game. Targent got notice of their mistake on leaving her alive, and prepare a trap where it looked like she and their baby died. Truth is, they kept Amara captive and sadly, the baby girl caught an illness that indeed killed her, driving the woman to some degree of insanity.

She meets again with her triplet brother after so long, but Alvaro has no the best of intentions... Or does he? All he wants is his sister, Alba, who has been in a comma since she was 15, back, and he will do all he can... (A situation much like what happen in Eternal Diva with Janice and Melina, but forced)

Plz insert here some story where Amara and Desmod try to get a happy end again because I have no idea what to do lmao, but yeah, they get together again and try again to form a family, having a baby boy they name... Jean.

And as a good Layton story, a one last tragedy happens here where the 3 triplets die, breaking Desmond, Lando and Emmy/some-random-oc widowed (havent decided yet with who I will pair Alvaro ahaha) but each siblig left a child, so none of the widowers lose track of themselves.

More than headcanons this is a mega resume of my abandoned fanstory from the perspective of characters I didn’t have thought deeply honestly. I like Desmond aesthetically and I was crazy about Descole back in the day as I said.

Thought on tomstar?

Good for character development, not a particularly healthy romantic relationship - which is exactly how the show portrays it anyway. Tom not being committed to helping Star and Star ignoring Tom/prioritizing Marco forms a feedback loop that’s good for no one. Both would’ve been better off staying friends, but Star’s heart was understandably aching and Tom never internalized his stated desire to move on, so off they go holding hands and shit. There’s certainly some good in it, too. Demoncism was a solid episode demonstrating the genuine connection they can have, and it’s not as though there was anything wrong with their PDA in episodes such as Lava Lake Beach and Monster Bash. Not my thing, obviously, but that’s just me, and if someone liked the pairing then hey there ya go you get your cute romantic Tomstar moments just like Jarco had in season 2. None of this is/was fanservice or anything, it’s just how people act when they’re dating. 

All things considered, I think the show handles it well - if you go back and rewatch the episodes (with your mind clear of whatever preconceptions you would’ve had when 3A aired, or whatever bullshit the fandom is spewing), it never tries to paint it in an unfair light in either direction. It’s never shown as some epic romance for the ages when it’s clearly not, but it’s also not treated as an abomination unto the lord when it clearly isn’t that, either. It was rushed, it felt like whiplash, but it wasn’t some awful mistake - it’s just two teens that know they want support but don’t really understand themselves well enough to know the best ways to do it. And this is all completely intentional given the theme of change - and specifically that trying to force/rush change doesn’t work - in season 3.

Time to get ranty.

Now let’s step back from the very, very narrow lens of “objective take on the presentation of the ship within the canon episodes” and take off the kiddie gloves for a sec, because here is where my opinion can go from “not good, not awful, but just definitely not my thing” to “kill it, toss the corpse in a lake, excise the landmass containing the lake from the planet, chuck that into the sun, and maybe nuke the rest of the planet just to be safe”. So many garbage takes in this fandom about how Tom “deserves” Star as though she’s just another of Brian’s Good Boy Badges, how Star’s a rancid bitch for ignoring/mistreating him, the kiss in Booth Buddies being some irredeemable/forced trash… All just totally miss the whole point of Star’s character and/or the show itself just because people want their demon husbando to get some even when it’s not best for him, and ignoring everything else about the show (similar to takes of Marco being a irredeemable neglecting asshole to Jackie or the Jarco breakup/his feelings for Star being “forced” coming about as a result of fans’ Jackie infatuations). Not to mention the AUs that turn the Tomstar kid into a martyr who everyone hates to farm sympathy points, despite that totally missing the point about how the show handles prejudice…

Alright, that was a refreshing stroll away from my computer for some fresh air. Where were we?

I’m not saying I’m perfect here either, I was wrong about Tom and Star getting back together - but all my reasonings for why they wouldn’t get back together ended up coming true as reasons why it wasn’t all that healthy instead. I would never claim to know everything about the show, but I at least aim to maintain a core, consistent understanding of the fundamentals of the characters/show. And seeing so, so, so much misinformation or outright malicious stupidity over the character development (which is the cornerstone of the show) sickens me.

Do note that the Starco side of the fandom isn’t immune to my wrathful criticism here either - a lot of Starco AUs fuck up understanding the show and a lot of Starco fans also have a horribly skewed view of Tom in the opposite direction. I like Tom as a character and appreciate his growth, and it sickens me that almost all of the vocal fandom I’ve seen gets it so fundamentally wrong. On my darker days I’ve even caught myself thinking maybe it would’ve been better if Tom just stayed an asshole after Season 1 and never got redemption just so all the bullshit surrounding him wouldn’t happen. This is probably the closest I’ve come to having my view of the show itself poisoned by outside influence, and that spooks me a bit lmfao. And I wouldn’t really like Tomstar art or whatever anyway, but at this point I’m practically Pavlovian conditioned to think of the bullshit whenever I see it, which pushes it towards “NOTP” territory. Which is a shame because I don’t like to have such strong negative feelings about something in the show that doesn’t deserve them, but alas.

And before I get an inevitable ask about it, the fandom notion of Stomco/Tomstarco is even more offensive to me. “But wait, Ngame, it has Starco included so it’s at least better, right?” Yes, Starco is a component of that dynamic and I appreciate that its fans are at least willing to admit Star and Marco at this point love each other, but it’s essentially the equivalent of getting Starco granted by a monkey’s paw. Stomco undercuts everything that makes them such a loyal and committed pairing by equating that to the bonds Star and Tom or Tom and Marco have, thus either ignoring everything special about Starco and leveling it to a normal teen romance or being so blind as to claim Tomstar or Tomco share what Star and Marco have developed over the past three seasons. And considering a lot of the fans of that triplet are/were Tomstar and Tomco fans before, to the point where the Tumblr Stomco Week was jointly hosted by Tomstar and Tomco Week blogs… forgive me for seeing the whole thing as Tom zealots blatantly disregarding the whole point of Starco just so Tom gets a slice of the action. 

The moral of this story is, don’t be like me because it’s not fun being this negative. I actively try not to dwell on this stuff anymore, but I’m happy to provide my opinion here just to clear the air. And I’d never shove my negativity about this down others’ throats or say that someone is wrong for just liking something, not at all. If you ever find yourself in a similar position, just step back from the fandom, only check the bare minimum tags for new art, find some friends to personally connect with over the show, idk. Yeah, it sucks that so much of the fandom just doesn’t appreciate a lot of the good aspects of the show, and I’d kill for there to be a way more consistent production of Starco art/fics, but c’est la vie.

Cassie hated high school parties at this point. They were always completely boring and way too tame for her liking. Why she’d even bothered going to the one tonight was beyond her, but at least she’d had Cassius to keep her entertained. Of course, it hadn’t been long before they’d decided to bounce, and now here they were, in her bedroom; something her parents loved, given that it just ​had​ to mean they at least had one totally straight child. Not that that was what was going on here. This really was just a regular Friday night with her best friend. Walking out of her en suite bathroom, Cassie bunched her naturally long hair up, fixing it into a messy bun as she walked across the room and to the bed. She’d just changed into her version of pajamas—shorts and one of Cassius’ old shirts—and finished brushing her teeth. He was already on the bed, and she flopped down beside him quickly, sighing as she looked up at the ceiling. “Okay, when we go to college, we’re going to throw ​way​ better parties than that shit. I literally wanted to murder everyone tonight,” she frowned, turning onto her side and holding herself up with her elbow as she looked at her friend.

Aiden wasn't very particular about the places he went or who he was with, it was all a game to him. Show up at some random house, get free beer, weed, and whatever else they were offering. Score some head and then bail. Even though he knew his chances would be slim with Cassier around, they always had a habit of just going home with each other and quite frankly--He preferred it that way. Cassie didn't make things complicated, all they did was hang out in her room and make fun of people they didn't like, talk about things that seemed impossible. Aiden wasn't sure why or how the woman had weasled her way into his life, but it's been that way as long as he could remeber. Now, he was laying shirtless on her bed as she strolled in, finding her usual position beside him, he turned his head towards her and gave her a smirk. "Don't you constantly want to murder people? I mean, I feel like when you're not eating or breathing, you're thinking about murder, and that's kinda hot" Aiden laughed, nudging her playfully but nodding along. "You can throw parties, I'll just go to them and drink all your beer" He winked at her playfully, their dynamic a lot different than he was with anyone else. "So, you runaway off to college with little ol Aiden" He teased her.

Cassie barely even gave Cassius a second look when he laid there shirtless like he currently was. It wasn’t like he wasn’t hot, because that was far from the truth. Anyone with eyes could see that he was gorgeous and totally had the body to match that killer face, but Cassie was so used to seeing it by now that it was just the norm for her. Any other hot guy in her bed and she’d be all over them, but not him. It was different with him. Everything was different with him. Cassie included. She openly hated everyone else, but she’d never hated Cassius. “Shut up,” she laughed, rolling her eyes and grabbing a pillow, which she proceeded to playfully swat him with. Setting it back down behind her head, she scooted over and got herself comfortable in her space against his side, where his arm would touch her back and her hand would rest against his chest; her head against his shoulder. “I seriously wish I could go to college with you. Everyone here fucking sucks, and having to live in this house for much longer is going to drive me even crazier than I already am.” She let out a soft sigh, beginning to absentmindedly trace soft shapes against his chest. “We should just run away or something.”

Aiden would have probably been on round three if he had been laying on anyone elses's bed. It wasn't as if that party hadn't been filled to the brim with woman who whom he could have easily gone home with, but alas it wasn't as if Cassie would have let him do that either way. Still, he found it quite humorous that no matter the party or social gathering, they could always be found among one another. Aiden may have not been very picky with people, but that wasn't to say that he liked them. The woman laying next ti him at this very moment had been a lot of exceptions in his life. "You could have taken out my eye with that thing!" Cassius's laugh rumbled from his throat as he let her settle down once again. The way there were practically curled into each other would have seemed rather intimate, but this was nothing short of normal for him. "Yeah, but you always want to go everywhere with me. If I'm not there, are you ever really having fun" Aiden gave her his charming grin as the pads of his finger tips danced along her skin. "Oh oh oh. Ms. Cassie Harper wants to runaway with bad boy Holiday. Could you imagine the rumors? What would your parents think?" His voice was overly dramatic and playful as he laughed along with his own comments, though when it died down he spoke again. "I can get behind running away"

Cassie allowed a small smirk to ease itself onto her lips, pleased with herself as she settled against him. “Mhm. Maybe I won’t miss next time,” she teased, his laugh something of a comfort to her these days. Cassie considered herself a very independent person. Especially for a triplet. She’d never been attached at the hip with either of her sisters, and most of her friends she could really give or take, but that was yet another exception where Cassius was involved. They really might as well have just been an extra body part for each other. “I don’t always care to go everywhere with you, but you’re right, I’m not really having much fun if you’re not there. That’s kind of all a part of everyone else sucking. You just suck a little less than they do, that’s all.” She glanced up at him in time to see the grin, and Cassie couldn’t help but mirror it. “You really think there’d be any rumors that people aren’t already trying to spread now? I mean, my parents have had us married off in their heads for years,” she said, her nose wrinkling up, her expression one of fake disgust. “You know they’d be happy to get rid of me,” she mumbled, resting her head against his shoulder again and going back to tracing her random patterns over his skin. “Where should we run to?” she asked, her fingertip running lightly over a familiar scar.

Aiden couldn't help his eye roll when Cassie talked about not missing him net time and he reveled for a moment in their banter because it was the one thing he never really had to worry about. People were just people to him. Nothing of real importance, nothing but a good time and a change of scenery. So, having someone like Cassie Harper in his life was something of a big deal. Aiden wasn't sure if he'd connect with other people along the way, he wasn't sure of anything ever. All he knew was that the woman beside him, had always been beside him and while sometimes the thought put him off--It also made him start to realize that not all people were just candles in the wind. Then again, when you were born to run, none of that really mattered. "Honestly, if you just want to end it tonight and smother me in my sleep, I'd give you a dollar. But you can't have my guitar, I expect to be buried with that shit" Again a round of laughs as they laid together casually. "You're like my ghost arm. If I don't look to either side of me and see you, I automatically assume you got yourself into some deep shit and need me to come rescue you. People do suck. You? Not so much" Cassius raised his eyebrow at her and pulled her even closer in a teasing manner. "Are you sure it's are parents or are you just ready to admit you've wanted a piece of me since I hit puberty and grew like 5 inches. In height and down below" He smirked, flexing one of his arms but ultimately busting out in laughter as the comfort seemed to wash around them once more. Aiden had certain smiles for certain situations, but he believed that maybe if he tried hard enough, he'd get to keep this one with them. His Cassie smile. "You're better off without them anyways. You're Cassie fucking Harper" The man said in a boasting tone, watching as her fingertips traced over his body, tapping along the memories of his past he always tried to shake. "Tomorrow" Aiden whispered softly. "We should to tomorrow"

Cassie scowled up at him, despite her previous smug smirk. “If you think I’m going to let you die and not take me with you, you’re mistaken.” Like he’d just said, she was his ghost arm, just like he was hers. Life without him would be so fucking weird, and she was sure he knew that. The codependency between these two was strong, not that Cassie would ever admit it. She didn’t hate it, though. Their relationship was a difficult one to define. They were practically married, and Cassie would never allow another girl close to him, just like Cassius wouldn’t let any guys near enough to her, but then he could joke about her wanting a piece of him and she was entirely grossed out. Even more so as he referenced his dick size. “You’re so disgusting,” she scoffed, gently hitting his arm, though not enough to actually hurt him. Still, she couldn’t help but smile back up at him, always having found him impossible to even be fake mad at. “Maybe your mom should just adopt me and my sisters. Cassie Holliday sounds better than Harper, anyway.” Cassie’s feelings towards her parents were something she’d never tried to hide, and especially not to Cassius. He knew everything there was to know about her. She felt like she knew him, too, but there were parts of him that still remained a mystery to her. Like the scars her fingers trailed delicately across. She’d never really wanted to ask how he got them before, but she’d always been curious. She wasn’t looking at him this time, instead just focusing on the scars, but she smiled that easy, lazy smile he always drew from her. “To tomorrow. I like that.” She continued watching her finger’s movements, her eyes growing a little heavier. “Hey, Cass?” she asked, her voice sounding a little more sleepy, a little more gentle, “Where did you get the scars? You never told me.”

Aiden gave her a grin but the tone of her words didn't go unnoticed, he knew that he and Cassie shared a connection unlike anything they had really experienced in their lives. They hated people, but not each other. It was an odd realm to live in, but one that they constantly found themselves in with no avail. "That was very Romeo and Juliet of you and all I have to say is, I didn't know you had a heart under all that attitude. I'm almost impressed" Cassius gave her a goofy grin to counter act her scowl because with each other, they were completely different people. Maybe that's what had him so worried. When Cassie hit him arm again, the word disgusting rolling off of her lips, he burst out into lauhter once more. Sometimes he could forget how much he laughed around the other woman. "You're just upset about it because it's too" He said with a simple shoulder shrug. "I think you could pull off being a Holiday if you really tried hard enough. You can just take my spot" Aiden said, he was never really here or there with his family, never really feeling like anyone place was a permanent one, even if he had been adopted and kept. That didn't change anything. On occasion, Cassie would ask a certain question and he's let something slip out, not a lot, but just enough for her to know when to stop. He could hear the sleep in her voice and shifted slightly to make them more comfortable, her fingers still tracing, still reminding him. "Oh you know, I fought the world largest shark and won. It was pretty great actually. You missed out" Aiden chuckled, though he knew she wasn't buying it. He let his own fingers dance along her skin as he himself closed his eyes. "Ask me again when we've reached tomorrow"
