As an Armenian that has had family members forced to flee from persecution, I will always stand with Palestinians and all oppressed peoples in their fight for liberation and freedom

This is the tomb of the Orberlian prince Elikum who died in battle. The engravings in Armenian say "Handsome Elikum, the son of Tarsayich, who like a lion bravely growled at the enemy. I beg you to remember him in prayers. "
I quite like the way he is positioned. His hand is under his head making him look like he is sleeping/resting on his side, but his face is staring at us or maybe at the enemy, as if saying he is still guarding the country even when he is resting.

not to ‘weird feelings about my cultural stuff’ post on main BUT I am full of feelings about being part Armenian tonight, it’s the part of my heritage I have the most connection with/the most interaction with but even then I feel a lot of disconnect and even guilt about calling myself Armenian

Little psa, since a few people have noticed that a lot of my ancients' discord bots have different features from their canon counterparts! This is because I am Armenian, and I like to project this onto my muses, and the ancients especially fit this, being inspired by ancient Greece which is close to Armenia. A lot of my ancients have curlier or fluffier hair than canon (Lahabrea, sometimes Emet when his hair is short), more prominent hooked noses (Hyth and, to a lesser degree since i like his canon nose, Emet, and Lahabrea doesn't have a hooked nose per se but it's still different from canon), or darker or more olive toned skin (Hermes and Hyth again). This applies to my ocs, too- my Azem has dark skin, curly black hair, a hooked nose, and full lips. Coeus is a pale white bitch, but they're intended to stand out and look a little odd. In addition, I give them more varied bodies, and apply Armenian cultural aspects to ancient society in general, though I still stick pretty close to the original lore and inspirations.

dumb hcs that make me emotional for some reason
when talking about her, magnus just calls satenik his mom or mother.
but when he's talking to her or if she's in the room, he goes right back to "mama" or "ma"

i love when the word pertaining to the speakers of a language is different from the word pertaining to them in almost every other language. like how the root for 'armenian' in armenian is 'hay' (for example 'armenia' in armenian is 'hayastan') but no other language uses it
