without another word, Caelus moved to sit down on the floor, before placing the sizable fruit between his toned thighs. Licking his lips briefly, golden depths focused down, watching as he locked his legs in a deathlock around the watermelon while muscles flexed underneath the dark fabric, that did nothing to hide the outlines as Caelus readied himself. With a concentrated look, the Nameless let out a deep groan as his thighs pressed down hard on the watermelon. There was only a moment's warning before the large fruit broke under the immense pressure, resulting its juices to spill out and make Caelus' pants stick to his muscular thighs. However, instead of leaving the delicious treat, nimble digits picked out a piece, which he soon took a bite out of. There was no reason to let it go to waste, something that the Nameless showed as he slowly licked his digits clean, clueless as to how that might look to the nearby male.

His thumb tenderly moved, brushing over the surface of it as his golden depths took in the smoothness of the moves that were done before his very eyes. It was his way of showing the deep care that he harbored within his chest and his support. Also his way of silently saying "I am here." / <3333

Wether or not his life faced real danger, did not matter. Behind the perfect mask, hide a scared child; wishing to survive another day. Fear ran deep, it had burrowed into the very marrow of his bones, and expressed itself through the clenching of a fist, the slight shudder of nerves as he held onto a chip underneath the game-table. His fair features spoke naught of this terror, only of bravado and cocky confidence, as avgin-eyes stared his opponent down. So why does he gamble, if it brings upon nerve-wrecking fear? Because that fear is exciting. It let's him feel alive, despite his eagerness to waste it in an all or nothing wager. He wishes to feel alive, as much as he hates his own survival.

The unsuspected touch to the shaking hand underneath the table, made neon depths -briefly- settle their gaze upon the familiar features of the Trailblazer. Time slowed for a moment, then - and a calm blanketed itself over him, comforting and secure. A light breath, a huffed chuckle - followed by a thankful smile - is given to his beloved lucky charm, before returning his attention to the game. All of it transpired quickly, never affecting his inevtiable victory. Gently, Aventurine squeezed the hand holding his own. A silent 'thank you' as his morale rise and push through that coldhearted fear.

Aventurine laid on the bed, his arm slung around your waist as he breathed in your scent. It was a quiet, cold morning, the shuffling of the bed sheets, the soft sound emitting from the humidifier and soft breathing being the only noises heard throughout the room.

The soft smell of hydrangea and citrus filled the room as Aventurine let out a small groan, he blinked open his eyes, letting out a yawn as he looked down at you, your head resting on his chest, he couldn't help but smile and mess with your hair.

He couldn't help but notice the room was a tad bit chilly, "Oh? Are you cold, Pilea?" "Oh, pray tell, how could you tell?"

He chuckled as he cuddled into you. "Now now, come, I'll warm you up." You couldn't help but smile as you held him close to you, letting a soft sigh leave your lips. You ran a hand through his hair. "Aven.." You could tell he was close to falling asleep. It had been a long month for him, he had just returned from Penacony. He didn't seem to want to talk about anything that happened, and you were just glad he was back in your arms.

Your hand rested on his head, gently running your hand through his hair as you rested your cheek atop his head, his head resting on your chest. "Sleep well, Aven.."

Veritas Ratio ⁺˖ ⸝⸝

You awoke in bed, all alone. Which was the usual in your shared home. After all, Veritas often awoke early, often leaving you alone in bed whilst he was in another room, either reading or researching.

You got out of the bed, grabbing the blanket off the bed and wrapping it around you as your feet met with the cold ground. You moved around before opening the door to his studies and taking a peek inside.

"Veri?" You smiled as you walked inside, finding him buried in his work. Papers worth of years of research surrounding him as his gaze moved to look at you. "Morning, dearest." He greeted you, before his attention moved back to his papers.

He pushed the chair back a little, giving you access to sit on his lap and rest your head on his chest. You noticed his glum expression, you were unsure if he wanted to talk about it. "Veri? Is something.. Wrong?" A silence filled the gap, he let out a grim sigh before a small self-depricating laugh followed.

He simply smiled at you - something rarely seen on the man's expression, yet here it was. He leaned to bury his face into the crook of your neck. "Everything.. Is fine." With pursed lips, you bregudingly accepted that answer, knowing full well he wouldn't say any more than that. But as your eyes made way to his research, you saw it. "--test-firing of the anti-planetary weapon was a success."

Yes.. Perhaps it was better not to push him to answer.

Caelus ⁺˖ ⸝⸝

It was an early morning on the express. You sat on the lush red couch as you watched the conductor sweep the floors. It wasn't shocking that it was practically freezing on the express. Your hands were wrapped around a mug filled with hot tea, blowing on your drink just lightly as you took small sips, careful not to burn your tongue.

You looked over at the door as Caelus comes out, he stretched his arms, you could only chuckle, feeling a bit bad for him as he had just returned from his adventure in the Xianzhou. From what you could tell, from the rambling of March 7th.. You were lucky to not have joined them.

You watched as he sat down next to you, sighing as he rested his head on your shoulder. "Tired?" He only nodded, wrapping his arms around you.

"Want a drink?" You wanted to laugh, he truly was no different than a raccoon, not to say it was bad. It was adorable. "No." His answer was short but quick.

You allowed him to rest his head on your shoulder as you placed the cup down onto the table. This was nice. Mornings like these.. Were always ones you look forward to.

Dan Heng (IL) ⁺˖ ⸝⸝

Dan Heng looked at the data bank, looking at what needed more editing and which didn't. He was lost in thought when he continued working, his eyes flicking back and forth to multiple different datas.

When he suddenly thought back to the events prior of returning to the express after their adventure in the Xianzhou. How much he was reminded of him. Dan Feng might be Dan Heng. But Dan Heng will never be him. But, in the same time.. Nothing could ever be his, could it? For Dan Feng haunted him, and probably, always will.

He wasn't fully paying attention to his surroundings when he let out a surprised noise at the sudden tug on his tail.

He turned around, only to find you, your arms wrapped around his tail. "Did I scare you?" You chuckled as he let out a sigh of relief. "[Name].. No. Just surprised." He smiled a bit.

"It's quite cold.. Aren't you usually in bed at this hour?" It was true, whether you choose to sleep-in or too cold to leave the comforts of your bed.

"Yeahhhhhh, but.." You rested your cheek on his tail, your fingers gliding across his scales as red hued his cheeks, a chill running up his spine at the sensation. "I decided to get up a bit earlier.." You smiled. "To see.. You."

Dan Heng looked away, his cheeks hueing red as he covered his face, clearing his throat as he glanced back at you. "I.. See."

You got up and stretched your arms. "It's so cold.." Dan Heng nodded his head, agreeing with you as he paid attention towards the data bank. "You don't mind me using your tail to help heat me up, right?" You grinned, hugging his tail, it was a comfortable pillow.

"No.. Feel free to use my tail as you please.."

And.. Just in this moment, Dan Heng couldn't help but smile. Nothing in the world belongs to him, for it belonged to Dan Feng. But you? In this moment.. Your love was his. Not Dan Feng's. But Dan Heng's.

You ever held a relationship where the first thought is that it's freeing?

In the most positive affinity, this is what Guinaifen accomplished with Caelus, even long before they've actually settled into a genuine relationship.

There's a love for life that burns from her fingertips and flourishes around the entirety of her form. To even take harrowing situations, tough days, and manage to take the position of 'highlight' feels like a special balm of the heart that no ability can replicate. He holds a firm belief that people like her could always keep people from roaming down darker paths.

From the days they've first met and up to the current, she was the welcomed surprise, someone who he genuinely found himself dwindling the 'week to month long' gaps he could be gone from a place, and dwindling down to mere days at most. Guinaifen was one of the first genuine people that fate hadn't aligned him to meet, it was a silly circumstance with dangerous edges that sparked it, but they found a loving value for why it's kept.

He loves his time with her. That much can be felt from how he speaks to her, where a natural excitement for the world, where even dark shades can find a golden lining, such as a grim story with a gained curio leads to a fun experience with it. Where the fabled 'Ambrosia Cheese' planet, an utter catastrophe was turned into something they'd have to meet one day.

He adores her. To have a relationship blossom between them was a natural step. Caelus's heart spoke vividly around her, it was aligned as there was no battle between spirit and mind. He felt happy with her, he wanted to share that, and in kind, to ensure that a universe that holds Guinaifen could be made a little bit better by his hands, day by day. He found a relation in the taste of 'freedom' she experiences, and gained a deeper understanding that she's like the golden thread that could keep countless things together.

Once they deepened their investment, call it a starry eyed whimsy, but he could truly see it no other way. Caelus wants to coast across the future with her by his side, for the better times, to devour the worse and breathe out something that much better.

That said? To take a thread of Guinaifen's concerns as he never held a true conversation about this. (He REALLY doesn't know how to break down such a thing to her.) The inevitable day where he'd be involved with taking down Nanook, actively engaging in combat with a Aeon, he has no remote intention of EVER getting her involved in that. In the same vein, the biting guilt that he's uncertain that he's trailing her on in a relationship due to this, being there to one day not due to the gravity of this battle. It's led to internal conflict.

In many ways, she'd genuinely spark the wish that he wasn't the someone who had to do this.

At the same time? To be a prevention method to promise a future where they can grow old and happy together? Of course he'd fight for that, with no hesitation.

The him that met Guinaifen, the soul fated for this.

He doesn't regret his choice in the slightest.

To make her one of the happiest souls amidst the stars is a goal invested within his heart. Guinaifen is not only someone he's fiercely protective of, but he wants to see her shine, he wants to share that mantle of making choices that the both of them will not regret. The shine of said stars certainly can not compare to her.

For she is a dream come true.
