Request: I would love to see some Lumpygrab fluff and affection 🥺 maybe they watch one of their favorite movies together! word count: 705

WOOO THANK YOOUU!! I had so much fun with this one lol. I have many hcs about characters and the media they would like... I also projected my own favourite films onto these guys. Hee hee

LSP had told him that cinema movies always started with loud trailers, and that sometimes people talked and opened sweet wrappers in the middle of important scenes - it sounded very stressful, the sort of situation Lemongrab would end up screaming at people in. So they decided to just watch a movie at home. 

“Okay I brought my favourite movie eeveeeeer…”  LSP was sat on the floor, and he was lying next to her on his back with his legs slung over his bed, looking upside down at the currently switched off screen. He had an old Lemon shaped TV with an ancient DVD and VHS player hooked up to it.

He turned to look at her. “Oh?”

“Yeah! I bet you’ll really like it.” 

“Can I see?” Lemongrab had expected it to be some sort of rom-com or teen drama, but LSP handed him a DVD case with a serious dark coloured cover titled ‘Ginger Snaps’. “What is this?”

“It’s this horror film from before the Mushroom War about these two teenage sisters- and like, one of them gets bitten by a werewolf. But it’s a metaphor for being a teenage girl and the horrors of puberty and-” Lemongrab liked seeing her get excited about things, “and like, there’s this scene at the end where- actually I’m not gonna spoil it. But yeah, it’s so good. I watched it all the time when I was a teenager. I really related to the characters.”

“You had a difficult time as aaaa youth?” LSP grimaced and he wondered if he shouldn’t have asked. 

“Yeah I guess. I ran away when I was 14 and I lived in the woods, so I couldn’t do all the stuff teen girls are supposed to do. I felt like I was missing out and doing it all wrong, so I dunno…” she trailed off, “I guess I just wanted to feel seen for what I was, even if it was some sort of monster.” 

He had dim flashes of her as a teenager from his two past lives - she’d been volatile and explosive, eager to please but unable to be honest. It made him sad for her. “I do not think you are a monster.”

“Well yeah, I guess. Monsters aren’t real, but they’re a lot of fun to watch on the TV.”

Lemongrab nodded. “I am fond of theeee… Pre War 2004 Frankenstein adaptation. I enjoy that they do not villainize Frankenstein’s monster.”

“OMG that’s crazy Ginger Snaps also came out in the early Pre War 2000s! So like, both our fave films came out in the same decade.” 

“Actually… my favourite film is something else.”

“Oh?”

Lemongrab cringed and tapped his fingers together nervously. “Please do not laugh at me.”

“I would never laugh at youuu sourheart.”

“My favourite film… is this…” Lemongrab handed her a much loved, battered VHS tape. The cover depicted a Mo robot hugging a slime person. 

“Dude… is this Heartdrive 2: you ooze you lose?”

“Yes.”

“Okay. Not what I was expecting. Why this one?”

“It is cute.” Lemongrab stated. LSP looked at him expectantly and he realised he was supposed to say something else about it. “A-And it makes meeee feel happy inside! I do not have any nngh… smart reasons for liking it. I just think it is sweet that E-Mo thinks he can’t feel emotions and Slimy Tony is disillusioned with life, but then they meet at the talent show and they fall in love.” 

“Aw! You’re a hopeless romantic at heart Lemongrab,” She nudged him with her elbow, “I knew it~” 

“I-I think that there are not manyyyy things that make meee happy…” Lemongrab continued, looking embarrassed, “and there is not so much happiness in the world that I can afford to pretend I do not like theee things I dooo… even if they are as puerile as Heartdrive 2: you ooze you lose.”   

“Let’s watch this one then.” 

LSP slotted the tape into Lemongrab’s busted TV and settled back next to him, leaning her head on his knee. 

Lemongrab poked her and giggled. “We can kiss during the scary part.”

“The- The scary part? Of Heartdrive 2?” It was probably for the best that they hadn’t watched Ginger Snaps.

EXPECTATION:

“LUMPIN YASS i got TWO lemonhunks and almost the whole cinnema all to ourselves,Lemonbabe,hold mah drink imma take a selfie of all us and send it to MALISSAAAAA. We’re gonna have such a lumpin raaad time”

REALITY:

LG 2: NO! She is spiteful of your choices of where to go next!! She prefers MY attention!!!

LG1: LET GO OFF THE LUMPS YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HOW RELATIONSHIPS WORK

LG 2: [screaming]

LG 1: [SCREAMS LOUDER]

LG 2: I’m going to touch the lumps.

LG 1: Don’t yoooou daaaare-

LG 2: [touches]

LG 1: [glass shatter sound] [earpiercing screams of rage]

LSP: oh my GLUB you guys there’s enough lumps for the both of you to touch,you don’t have to fight over me!

LG 1: SEE,YOU HAVE UPSET THE PRINCESS WITH YOUR MEDDLESOME POOR CHOICES

LG 2: I am not listening to you. I’m going to touch the lumps again.

LG 1: I touch them better.

LG 2: YOUR TOUCHING IS HARD AND POKY

LG 1: WELL YOURS IS TOO SOFT AND WEAK
