ben was probably confused as fuck for those few hours he thought yaz might be into him. had him reevaluating his entire perception of the world cause hasn’t she been sammy’s girl since day 3 of camp
I found it weird that Yaz is the only one who didn't get a proper introduction in the trailer (Sammy had a scene where she's running from an atrociraptor and we get to see Kenji in his camper(?)) so I have a bit of a theory.
It's hard to see but there's a reflection in Yaz's eye towards the bottom left corner. To me, it kind of looks like an atrociraptor (probably Ghost since she's grey). This would explain why Yaz is so scared.
It also looks like there's a metal fence behind her, and I couldn't find another fence like it anywhere in the trailer except for in this frame:
The fence is the right shape and there's vegetation behind it. The brown dirt everywhere also matches the patches of dirt in the background of the picture of Yaz. Because of the rural look, this might be Sammy's ranch.
Also the car driving up to them in this frame is different than the other cars we see throughout the trailer. Notice the absence of any lights on top of the roof:
Since it looks like Sammy and Yaz in the last frame are being tailed by a car with a row of lights on the roof (and because that same car seems to be associated with the men in green uniforms in the picture with Darius), it seems like the car with roof-lights is a vehicle used by the antagonist. Which means that the car we see pulling up to Sammy, Ben, and Darius here-
-is probably Yaz's car, since it doesn't have the roof lights and she's seen driving a car in the frame with her and Sammy. And we know the car she's driving isn't Ben's van since it has a back window and seems to be fairly low to the ground, like the one pictured above.
I've literally been thinking about the magazine calling Ben a brave soul for the last twenty four hours straight. Because like he is.
Of course they all are, but especially Ben. He was afraid even before things went to hell on Nublar. He was afraid trying to leave Nublar because he was afraid to be afraid again. He's the epitome of 'do it scared'
I'm not saying anything we don't all already know lol I just really liked his little subheading, made me a little emotional thinking about him <3
How can I focus on my stats exam when new chaos theory clips just dropped (give Ben back his crooked teeth he looks strange) (lowkey implies he got braces during the 6 year gap if they didn’t just forget about his teeth like the eye incident)
I'm screaming at how obvious it was that Sammy was lying to everyone in season 1.
Like, everyone heard her say “Indominus Rex” and then tell everyone that they needed to leave with the urgency of someone who *knows* what the dinosaur is capable of after naming dropping her, but then not one person (except for Brooklynn) questioned how she knew the name of a top-secret dinosaur? Even after Brooklynn accused her of taking the sample and sneaking around the lab? No one found that suspicious at all?
The new cast promotional video convinced me that Yaz and Sammy live together on Sammy's ranch and that Yaz might've been attacked. This is sort of a continuation of what I theorized happened in this post.
The fence in this frame (above) looks exactly like the fences we see in the new cast video:
As well as the one we see in this shot from the original trailer:
Because of the rural location and Sammy's presence here, it's heavily implied that this is Sammy's ranch, which means that Yaz was here recently. The new cast video also shows us this shot of Yaz with a stegosaurus:
But the fence in the background of this shot is not the same as the fence in the background of the shot of Yaz in the original trailer (notice the thickness of the horizontal bars):
Which means that the shot from the trailer is showing us something else. Meaning that whatever Yaz was seeing in the trailer probably wasn't a stegosaurus. I think something happened to her because she looks scared in this shot, and because she isn't seen alongside Sammy while at this location in the rest of the trailer.
The new promotional video also gave us this shot:
Which depicts the same window as we see in Sammy's house in the original trailer while she's being chased by an atrociraptor (note the flowers and the dimensions of the window):
This new shot could very well be another angle of the same scene (since it's dark in both), but the shadow of the atrociraptor is against the wall on the inside, where Sammy is.
There's also the shot of a car pulling up on the hill where Sammy, Ben, and Darius are standing, which I believe to be Yaz's (as I theorized in this post):
So ultimately I think Yaz was attacked or spooked by whatever she saw and fled in her car, only returning a while later. Maybe she was attacked by the same atrociraptor that chased Sammy in the trailer?
