Very OOC
( and unless you’re looking for restaurants in Orlando, you should probably keep scrolling. In response to you @fair-fae - here is a list, as the reply box would probably scream at me if I tried to type this all there  sorry for the late response as well, I had to finish up my roulettes /cry )
My favorite, by far, is Soupa Saiyan - a DBZ themed noodle shop. It’s super small, with somewhat limited seating, but you don’t have to call in advanced or anything. It’s just a little cramped. But everyone is incredibly nice, the food is amazing, and really large portions too (so I’d recommend bringing someone to share with if you don’t think you can finish it yourself ). 5689 Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32819 - Their hours are a little wonky too. They open at noon each day, but I think they take an hour break around 2 or 3 for lunch.
The Cloak and Blaster is a nerdy pub with some pretty good bar food, and amazing drinks - if that’s your thing. At around... 7? Every Thursday, is a trivia night (so I guess that’s something to do, too!). It’s 18+ only after 8pm, but they have a lounge full of board games and video games for everyone to share and play. They have events lined up as well! But they are closed on Mondays, just a forewarn. 875 Woodbury Rd, Ste 108, Orlando, FL 32828
Cafe Tu Tu Tango is like a... Spanish and Greek fusion? That’s like, the best description I have for it. They’ve got live entertainment and support local artists by allowing the artists to both sell and display their artwork in the building. (And hey, if you’ve ever wanted to try gator, it’s on the menu). The meals are like... shareable appetizer-styles, so you don’t have to worry too much about big portions. 8625 International Drive, Orlando, Florida 32819 - They’re open pretty late, and also have brunches, so if you’re an early bird or a night owl, they’ll likely be open for you.
Sweet tooth? Better Than Sex is a dessert restaurant, literally all they serve are desserts and alcohol. It’s mostly a date night attraction, but look, if you’re craving a good cheesecake or espresso and ladyfingers, it doesn’t matter. Get a fuckin’ cake my dude, it’s good. Also their entire menu are innuendos and sex puns, and for an immature mind like mine, it’s fun to look at. 1905 N. Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32804  - They’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and they open at 6pm until midnight every other night. Reservations are heavily suggested, especially on weekends. But I’d say it’s pretty worth it. It is an 18+ only establishment, as probably guessed.
Keke’s is a Florida only business chain, that serves breakfast and brunch. If you’re familiar with places like that, you’ll know they open pretty early around 6 or 7am, and close in the early afternoon around 2pm. But their pancakes are amazing, and I’d highly recommend going at least once. There are a lot of them in Orlando, so the link will have the hours of every location - just to find the closest one to you.
Okay, okay... it’s not a restaurant. But if you haven’t been to Twistee Treat, you need to go now. It’s like one of those ice cream places that once you have a taste, you’ll probably end up going back every fuckin day until you leave - then crave for ice cream as good as it, and never finding it wherever you live. (It was the same for me and Dutch Bros. here - once you have their coffee, there’s no going back to any other place). It’s literally just an outdoor ice cream stand - and if you don’t know what to get, you honestly cannot go wrong with a chocolate-vanilla twist in a cake cone. This is also one with a lot of locations around Florida (and while they have some in Houston, it’s a FL business). So the link to their website will have the locations closest to where you are.
If you’re in Universal - the Universal Studios City Walk has a lot of unique restaurants for you to visit. Granted, they’ll be a bit pricier, but there’s a few there you shouldn’t miss out on.  And if you’re in Disney, Disney Springs (once known as Downtown Disney), has *a lot* of restaurants, things to do, and stores. Cirque du Soleil is there as well, if you haven’t seen it yet. It’ll be a little bit confusing to just jump in, so I recommend a map first before going.
There’s probably a lot of others to see, but these are the ones I can recommend off the top of my head. @yiff-yiff-for-phan maaayy have more? Frendo, if you recall anything from Orlando that I don’t, that’d be helpful.
Now if you need help for Tampa, Sarasota, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Ocala, or Fort Myers/Cape Coral - I am your guy! So if you don’t mind travel outside of Orlando, I can definitely help there!

VIRTUAL SKETCHBOOK 1
Pictures are in order of assignment.
1. WRITING AND RESEARCH -
A fact about me is that I love to play Dungeons & Dragons. I play a little gnome on some days and a big half-orc on others.
The art work assigned to me was The Great Wave Off Kanagawa by Japanese artist Hokusai.
1.     This piece of art, sometimes known simply as The Wave, is part of a 36-piece series that all feature Mount Fuji under different weather conditions.
2.     The Wave is not a painting, which I always assumed it was. It is actually a woodblock print.
3.     Hokusai began creating art when he was only six years old, when he learned to paint, and branched off to different mediums from there.
4.     The boats in these paintings are depictions of the boats that had been used to transport fish between land masses. In each boat, there are eight people manning them. It is implied that they had been heading back home with fish before the formation of the large wave in question.
5.     Hokusai changed his pen name 30 different times throughout his career. With each name change, he allowed a student of his to assume his former name.
Researching this art did change the way I looked at it. Before, I never really took notice of the boats, and I never realized there were people inside the boats. Before realizing this, looking at The Wave always gave me a sense of peace; I love the ocean, and the color blue always makes me feel calm. While I still feel this way, I do also feel a new sense of urgency and impending danger with this new information, and I now see the fear from the rowers clinging to their oars.
 2. ART AND WRITING – Pictured above is a drawing that a friend of mine drew of one of my Dungeons & Dragons characters. It was made using pencil and paper, and it currently hangs on my wall over my desk. It’s important to me, because I recently (last week) moved very far away from all of my close friends. Looking at this drawing reminds me of all of the fun times we had playing D&D together and going out for midnight breakfast afterwards. It helps me feel better when I get homesick, and it reminds me that even though I’m far away from my friends now, I still have them as friends and I will get to see them again in the future. I wouldn’t say that the drawing itself is innately beautiful, since it’s a really simple sketch, but I do see beauty in the memories that it holds. The fact that something so simple can hold so much significance is really astounding to me.
3. WRITING A SELF-PORTRAIT – I am 21 years old, I’m white, and I’m nonbinary. I’m from Sarasota, Florida- born and raised. This recent move is the first time I’ve ever lived anywhere else! In my free time, aside from my all-consuming love for tabletop games, I like to weight lift, swim, hike, sew, draw, and sing. My tabletop groups are currently the only organized groups that I am a part of, but I hope to join more soon so I can meet new people. I’m between jobs right now, but I want to pursue a job as a pharmacy tech or a barista at a local coffee shop. Many things make me uniquely me, but I think what stands out the most is that I am very opinionated, I’m a bit of an organizational freak, and I have a unique sense of humor.
 4. ART PROJECT (SELF-PORTRAIT) – I have elected to make a collage for my self portrait. The background includes two pride flags and a floral design, things that I feel embody some of the foundations of my identity. The collage also includes sharks, which are my favorite animal and a symbol of misrepresented “ugly” animals whose conservation are just as important as “cuter” animals who get more representation. I’ve also included bats, because they share a similar “ugly animal” plight and I also really love Halloween. The cats, while silly, perfectly embody both my sense of humor and my connection to my emotions. I am a highly emotional person and even my negative feelings (anger, sadness, pride, etc.) I have learned to embrace as a part of myself, and I do often choose to express those emotions through humor. Lastly, of course, D&D is in the center of my collage because of how important it is to me. It gives me a medium to  express creativity and explore more of my personality, and I have met many of my best friends through playing. The symmetry of the collage symbolizes my need for organization.

NEW FLIGHTS TO SARASOTA-BRADENTON AIRPORT (SRQ)
With Low Fares to High Demand Destinations
The Sarasota/Bradenton International airport is one of my favourite airports. It is convenient, only 15 minutes from Anna Maria Island Condo Rentals-601 Gulf Dr. N. Anna Maria Island, Florida 34217, but that’s only one reason I love SRQ. This airport is so inviting with its friendly and welcoming staff. It is small, modern, clean, with comfortable seating and Free strong/super fast wi-fi. The airport is easy to navigate which for me completely takes away the dread associated with large airports. The baggage area is easy to find and the car rentals are in the same area. These last two are both very favourable considerations, especially if your vacation leave is only one week. Less time spent travelling, means more time spent enjoying the reason that you are here, your vacation.
So what’s not to love about SRQ? Some travellers complain that there are very few airlines that fly into SRQ and those airlines that do, require a transfer or stopover along the way. The limited number of restaurants and stores and their early closing hours, with some not open on the weekends. Another complaint is that there are not enough low budget airlines to book flights with.
Well, flying into the Sarasota/Bradenton airport (SRQ) just got easier as well as less expensive. Frontier Airline recently announced they will be offering direct, non-stop flights from Atlanta beginning December 10, 2018. Flights between Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will be offered three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. As an added bonus to this already great news, Frontier is offering special introductory fares as low as $39 each way!
This is the latest in a series of new destinations offered via budget airlines. Earlier this year, SRQ and Frontier announced new non-stop flights to Cleveland and to Philadelphia. Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport and Frontier Airlines will provide the service to Cleveland and Philadelphia beginning in December. The flights to Philadelphia International Airport begin on December 10, 2018 with flights offered Mondays and Fridays. In April of this year, Allegiant launched its first Sarasota routes, flying to Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Cincinnati.
Since the addition of Allegiant and Frontier to the airport this year, traffic numbers are increasing. According to airport authorities July saw a 30 percent increase in passenger traffic, with a 23 percent increase in June, and a 16 percent increase in May. So, what will SRQ do to keep up with this increased traffic flow? The airport authority has authorized the expenditure of $228,501, plus a 10 percent contingency, to install 148 more feet of baggage belt in three locations in the terminal. Also, airport officials are beginning to think about overflow parking this winter and the long-term possibility of adding a parking garage. With the growth of SRQ airport bringing in increased revenue to area businesses I’m sure we will be hearing news of many improvements over the next few years.

Recent Yelp Reviews —
What a great airport! I always think the small ones have the best customer service, since they’re not nearly as busy as the large ones. This airport is super clean & that includes the bathrooms – which is always a plus! The women’s restrooms come with an additional shelf for your purse or bag – which is ALWAYS appreciated :)There’s a small selection of places to eat/drink past security. But it’s sufficient and does include a Starbucks! Gates have lots of charging stations in the seating area so you aren’t searching for a place to plug in (or have to sit on the floor in the corner). Ride-sharing is clearly labeled so if you need an Uber or Lyft it won’t be complicated to find where to go. And there are plenty of people waiting to pick you up so you won’t wait forever in the heat. Overall, I love flying in here – stress free & clean!
It’s got everything you need for a tiny airport – 1 coffee shop & a restaurant before security and the same on the other side.  As someone who use to fly every week for 5 years, this little airport is growing but still super easy to get in and out of.  Only way to make it better would be the parking shuttles frequency but so long as it isn’t raining ya a very easy walk. Overall very clean and friendly airport
Very small airport yet so simple. Time frame from entrance to boarding gate was about 40 minutes. Air mall is practically non existant. There is a Starbucks and one bar which included very little seating. Overall it went smoothly
Tiny airport, no lounges, very limited eating and drinking options, but very helpful staff from check-in to boarding.
This is a great airport, easy in and out. Now parking is even better since the addition of the covered area.

You will likely see dolphins in addition to other marine life throughout the water. Mapping Florida’s 8 best small cities
Tumblr media
According to a recent study, Boca is No. 1
The best small city in the state of Florida is Boca Raton, according to a recent study by WalletHub, which looked at over 1,200 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 and analyzed them based on 33 “key indicators of livability” within five general categories.
Due to the massive sample, they ranked the cities based on percentile. The five categories were Affordability, Economic Health, Education and Health, Quality of Life, and Safety.
Nineteen small cities ended up sharing a 99-percentile grade, with five of those cities hailing from Massachusetts. We mapped Florida’s eight highest ranking cities overall (with the percentile in parenthesis) and below are some additional highlights from the study:
Sarasota topped the entire nation in the ‘Quality of Life’ category
Florida’s lowest ranked cities were Deltona, Kendall, and Lauderdale Lakes.
The ‘Highest Homeownership Rate’ is The Villages
North Miami Beach, Lake Worth, and North Miami brought up the rear in ‘Lowest Percentage of Insured Population’
‘Most Restaurants Per Capita’ featured Miami Beach and Fort Myers among the six leaders
The ‘Fewest Coffee Shops Per Capita’ medal was awarded to Kendall

How Do I Break Through a Sales Plateau?
A reader from Sarasota asks:
“We have been in business for over 10 years. It’s a family business with my son in it, and I’d like to bring my adult daughter into the business. However, sales growth has stalled for the last two years, and there’s barely enough to pay my son, our three employees and myself a salary. How do we break through a sales plateau and get to the next level, so I can provide a future for my daughter, also?”
  –  Marcia from Sarasota, Florida
Ah, the dreaded sales plateau. It’s like you’ve hit a ceiling. Pushing through is hard — but you can do it.
While the barrier to sales growth may seem impenetrable, recognize that stalled sales are an utterly normal occurrence.  Many small businesses and family businesses encounter sales plateaus at multiple times in their history.
Applying determination and a plan, even a small family business can break through a sales plateau.
How to Break Through a Sales Plateau
The key is to create a plan and work your plan. To break through a sales plateau, there are five steps:
1. Set a Sales Goal to Achieve
It’s not enough to say you want more revenue. Give yourself and your team a target to work toward by setting a sales growth goal. It should be a SMART goal: specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely.
Here’s an example of a SMART sales goal: We will increase sales by 5% or an extra $80,000 per year, and reach that level by March 1st of next year.
Notice that the above goal is specific in dollar amount. It’s timely because it has a date for achieving the increase.  It’s also achievable and realistic, with an increase of just 5% over existing sales — not some overambitious jump such as attempting to double your revenue. Plus, it doesn’t assume the increase will come overnight, but sets a future date to allow time to ramp up.
And because the goal is specific, you can measure progress.
2. Break Down the Annual Goal into Smaller Weekly Goals
Estimate exactly how much more sales volume per week it will take to achieve your  annual sales goal. This breakdown is an important step that will help you make detailed plans.
For example, getting to an extra $80,000 in annual sales will require you to close roughly $1,539 more in weekly sales.   ($80,000 divided by 52 weeks = $1,538.46)
If you run a business with heavy seasonality, you will need to close more sales during peak periods to meet your annual goal. The following example of a seasonal business assumes you might have to close at least twice as much extra in sales during peak weeks, versus off-peak weeks:
26 peak weeks x $2,077 = $54,002
26 off-peak weeks x $1,000 = $26,000
$54,002 + $26,000 = $80,002 Annual Sales Increase Goal
Whatever your seasonality pattern, you want your weekly goals to match. This will help make your plan achievable.
3. Assess the Best Route to Achieve your Goal
Once you’ve determined the dollar amount you need to achieve, now it’s time to assess the best way to reach that.
To grow sales revenue in a small business there are three main ways:
Raise prices
Sell more products or services to customers
Add new customers
Or you could do some combination of the above.
What will work for your business depends on many factors.  If you have a lot of competition and are in a price sensitive market, you may not be able to raise prices.  If your target market is limited by geography or other factors, you might find it hard to add enough new customers with your current product set.
Instead, you may need to offer new product lines or a related service. Or do some creative product bundling supported with incentives, to raise your average transaction size to gain the needed sales revenue.
These are the sorts of factors that will vary from business to business.
4. Brainstorm Ideas with your Team or a Mentor
It helps to have help with brainstorming ideas.  In a small business that has a team, the obvious brains to tap into are your employees.
Someone on your team may just have an innovative idea no one else has thought of.  Remember, your team knows your customers. Show them the goals, and ask “how should we get there?”
If you don’t have a team or if you want input from someone experienced in achieving growth goals, tap into a mentor.  Turn to someone you know or trust. Or contact a SCORE chapter to make an appointment with a counselor.
5. Work your Plan
Last but not least, you have to work your plan to break through a sales plateau.  This will require measuring progress each week to make sure you are on track. If not, you may have to adjust your plan.
It also requires persistence. Sales plateaus are so common because it’s not always easy to grow.  It is easier to stagnate.
It takes effort to break through inertia and grow. Remember the laws of momentum:  an object at rest tends to stay at rest. Your job as a growth-oriented owner is to push through inertia and get your business growing again.
Examples of Breaking Through a Sales Plateau
Here are two examples of how small businesses could break through stalled sales:
EXAMPLE 1 – Coffee Shop
You operate a coffee shop in a small town. You sell coffee and pastries, and are open from 6 am to 11 am. Your customers are local residents who live in the immediate neighborhood or those who pass by on the street on their way to somewhere else. So the size of your market is limited. You have a core group of loyal customers, but sales haven’t really grown in the past year.
To break through the current revenue plateau, you might have to do the following:
Add more breakfast food items. This would enable you to increase the average size of a sale, when customers choose breakfast sandwiches along with their coffee.
Raise prices. Business owners often have trepidation around raising prices fearing that customers will turn to competitors. Sometimes this fear is  unfounded. But it can be a real risk. You might test a price increase on one or two items and measure the results. If the price increase is absorbed readily, then raise prices on other items.
Stay open longer, and add to-go lunch offerings. You might extend your hours through to 2 pm, and add lunch sandwiches, packaged salads, fresh fruit, cookies, soft drinks and more.
Offer catering platters. This might increase sales enough to get to the next level.
EXAMPLE 2 – Manufacturing Business
You operate a light manufacturing business, creating small wooden decorative items. Your shop is fairly small, and your storage space in your current facility is limited. You have just enough room for 4 employees with a limited amount of space for raw materials and inventory. You could:
Increase manufacturing capacity so you can sell more product. Expand to a different facility, and hire more people. You might also have to find more space to store raw materials and inventory. Or find a partner such as Amazon Fulfillment where some of your inventory can be stored.
Branch out with an innovative service of some kind, such as offering classes for people who want to learn crafts. It wouldn’t require expanding facilities because you’d hold them offsite. You could even offer online courses. And you’d still be tapping into your company’s basic expertise of creating decorative items.
Raise wholesale prices. If you raise prices by 5% it might get you over that revenue hump, provided you haven’t negotiated strict pricing deals that prevent  increases.
Each small business is different, so you have to consider your business’s situation and what will work best in your market. Good luck.

Is Downtown Condo Living For You?
There are numerous fully appointed Big Island of Hawaii vacation rentals that will make outstanding places to remain throughout your trip. Numerous property owners also lease their houses to tourists to make extra loan, and such Big Island trip rentals come completely geared up with everything you might need while remaining on the islands.
So what makes oceanfront apartments in Mexico much better than other places? The truth is that Mexico has some of the most gorgeous beaches in the eastern hemisphere. The sand is pure and water is sparkling. You can take a look around and discover beautiful peaceful surroundings for miles and miles. This does not mean, nevertheless, that you are out in the middle of nowhere. On the contrary, there are hotels, restaurants, and even clubs for dancing. This is the very best of both worlds. You can spend the afternoon in blissful relaxation then head out in the evening and let loose. This is the attraction of Mexico.
Whatever downtime I have actually is usually spent trying to explain, to family and friends, how it is that I don't do any real work. This usually changes into a conversation about how "they" might spend all their time golfing and not working either. I used to tell them to read this blog site. Now a days I simply tell them to join the Keyword Academy. Many discover that there will be a number of years of effort involved prior to retiring to the golf course. At this point they offer up and buy a condo in Florida or Arizona for the price of a Starbucks coffee and prepare to sit back and wait twenty years to money in. Btw, I was golfing in Sarasota, Florida in April and the only individuals there were Canadians (golfing and/or buying condos) and Mexicans who were cutting the fairways. where did the Americans go?
However, from a specific investment viewpoint, have a look at the locations over which you have no control. Something that you have no individual control over with apartments is the typical locations. The rugs, corridors and lobby areas etc are the responsibility of the management.
Second, It is a stable, democratic and serene country. Unlike other Latin American countries where you risk of an unstable federal government and possible expropriation of assets, Costa Rica provides stability not only from an investment perspective, however from a personal well being viewpoint, too.
There is a growing trend of people buying a condos as second houses. Frequently as not, these are retired people who reside in one location for part of the year, and another for another part of the year. The might spend the winter season in a warm area such as Florida or Arizona, for example, and then invest the summer season in their apartment.
So, if you get up every morning at 5a. m. and stretch to music on your balcony before going to golf - ensure the guidelines enable early birds to make 'reasonable noise'.
When it comes to budget-friendly property in a beautiful location, oceanfront condominiums in Mexico can not be beat. You have the natural appeal of a world-class beach, together with great shopping and dining. Because this is not a traditional "hotspot" and is just utilized by those who currently understand, you are going to get peace and quiet, along with low prices.
