not really sure how to start this post but basically, i think i've discovered that i might have a rare plush? ever since i was born i've had this green floppy legs lion plush, and every time i go to search him up online to see what type of plush he is, i can find little to nothing about him except for a couple of old images. here's a picture of the one i have for reference:

what is known about him is that he was made by the plush brand Bestever in conjunction with John Doze Studios, he's a part of the Liontoons line and that he was in production since at least 2001. other than that though, little information exists on this guy. the only colours i've seen him be produced in are green and orange, and it's unknown what other colours he exists in. there's a couple of websites that show a few of Bestever's plushies, one of which including a high quality image of their logo:

quite a few people do own him and i'm sure plenty of Liontoons plushies do still exist, but it's just the information about him that is very scarce and it'd be awesome if we knew more about him.

there's another vey similar line of plush toys called 'Orangutoons', which are these furry cartoony orangutans that come in many colours. there's a lot more images that show these plushies, including the fact that they were produced in orange, green, blue, purple, mint, red and white, lavender, pink and rainbow. a few special seasonal ones exist as well.

i do find it interesting how we have wayyy more images of this silly guy than we do the Liontoons plushies. i'm hoping more information is found about them soon!! i'd personally like to see an image of a blue Liontoons plush one day :D

These lemon cookies are delightfully tangy and sweet, with a burst of citrusy goodness in every bite. Ideal for brightening your day!

Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened. 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 2 tablespoons lemon zest. 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 cup powdered sugar for rolling.

Instructions: Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. First add the lemon zest, then the lemon juice, and finally the vanilla extract. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. Put the cookie dough in the fridge for at least an hour with plastic wrap over it. Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Make little balls out of the chilled dough that are about an inch across. Spread a lot of powdered sugar over each ball, then put them on the baking sheet that has been prepared. After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. For a few minutes, let the cookies cool on the baking sheet. Then, move them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy these tasty lemon cookies after they've cooled down!

2006 Shining Stars Unicorn plush - had ever since the same year it was made

Unidentified Calico Cat plush (possibly a Loblaws or Douglas plush) - had a similar one since at least 2006 or 2007 which disappeared, replaced with a gift from a friend in 2013. the original plush was likely an Aurora plush.

2001 Bestever Liontoons Plush - had since the day i was born

2002 Bedtime Care Bears plush - had since 2005 (it even came with a VHS tape included!)
