Blue Seed is one of those animes I picked up on a lark with no knowledge of it beforehand, so imagine how delighted I was when I realized it was the source of this bit about how animation works.

And that it was even dubbed!

What’s your favorite show from when you were a kid?

Oh man, time for me to be the weird kid -- I loved all kinds, like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh and Jackie Chan Adventures... All the Cartoon Network staples, etc. But my FAVORITE show was... an anime called Blue Seed! It was not appropriate for a kid just shy of a double-digit age, but I was OBSESSED with it. My parents used to get it for me from Blockbuster's anime aisle every week and they had NO clue it was not age-appropriate... 😂 But it definitely shaped my love for anime, alongside a movie called Legend of Crystania, which I also watched religiously when I was about eight or nine.

Anyway, it definitely has aged a bit and has some questionable stuff in it, but Blue Seed really was a fun show and has one of my favorite endings of any anime I've seen.

Hi! Question for you about Cheryl Franklin.

It’s my understanding she’s the last Blue Seed exec left alive—after Soders recruited Diana into the ICA and she was told to drop it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her mentioned again.

Did Franklin fade into obscurity, or do we have a definitive end as to what happened to her/if she was taken out by someone else?

As far as I know we don't hear about her outside of the comics. Seeing as it's been over twenty years since then, she is probably retired if she didn't resign. I don't think she would have been taken out by someone else, but you never know. Maybe Diana didn't let it go.
