I was trying to put my finger on why I enjoyed most of Rocky Aur Rani EXCEPT for the main couple’s love story and I realized it’s cuz the pining and unattainable love story of the grandparents love story was literally SO much better & the fact that Rocky’s family literally is hot garbage with literally 0 redeeming qualities. Like!! It made no sense why Rani was even trying to get on their good side when this family literally treated her like crap the whole time aside from the mom and sister who were too whipped to stand up for themselves 🤦🏽‍♂️

Akshay Kumar returns as the ambassador for Vimal Pan Masala, appearing in the new advertisement alongside Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan
Akshay Kumar, who previously received controversy for his role in a commercial for a pan masala brand, has reconnected with them. Akshay Kumar, who is known for doing patriotic films, was chastised by netizens for supporting a pan masala brand. As a result, the actor chose to withdraw from the endorsement, which he had previously supported alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. And now, based on the brand's recently published commercial, it appears like Kumar has revived his affiliation with the brand, since he appears alongside the other superstars in the campaign.
Tumblr media
The most recent pan masala advertisement went popular on the internet. The ad shows Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn waiting in the car for Akshay Kumar, who appears to be wearing headphones and is unable to hear them despite multiple honks. Shah Rukh Khan decides to toss a ball through the window, but instead breaks the glass of his neighbor. The latter appears seething and untouched by all the commotion going on around him. Ajay opens a packet of pan masala and its 'kesar' charm drags Akshay out of his music and down to join the duo in the car. In the past, after receiving backlash online for his involvement with the business, Akshay Kumar composed a lengthy letter. "I'm sorry," he'd said. I'd like to apologize to all of my admirers and well-wishers. Your reply over the last few days has had a profound impact on me. While I have not and will not support tobacco, I appreciate your feelings in light of my relationship with Vimal Elaichi. I take a step back in humility. I've decided to donate my whole endorsement money to a deserving cause. The brand may continue to display the advertisements until the end of the legally binding contract, but I promise to be exceedingly cautious in making future decisions. In exchange, I will always ask for your love and best wishes. On the work front, Akshay Kumar was most recently seen in Mission Raniganj, a film based on the real-life 1989 coal mining catastrophe. The film, which also stars Parineeti Chopra, was released on October 6.

Bollywood: icona dell’industria cinematografica indiana
Bollywood: icona dell’industria cinematografica indiana
“Chi ama l’India lo sa: non si sa esattamente perché la si ama. È sporca, è povera, è infetta; a volte è ladra e bugiarda, spesso maleodorante, corrotta, impietosa e indifferente. Eppure, una volta incontrata non se ne può fare a meno.” – Tiziano Terzani Bollywood cinema È grazie a Bollywood se la cinematografia indiana, quale fenomeno rappresentativo dell’identità culturale della sua…

hi!!! since we're questioning stuff, i wanted to say this, it's been on my mind for a while now.....
what is bollywood trying to do making AND promoting films like 'animal' and 'kabir singh'?????
they are clearly promoting toxic masculinity and violence which is affecting the public sooooo much......and they got the nerve to defend it as well????!!!!!
there are sooooo many films now which promote violence......ranbir kapoor is an excellent actor, yet it's sad to see his most successful film was 'animal' and not 'barfi' which is actually touching.....you know why?? because this is exactly what people want to see, violence, uncontrolled rage and madness......
the uneducated section of the society is very influenced by this and this is pretty well known, then why make films like this???
why not make more films on moving topics THAT ACTUALLY FUCKING MATTER and cause people to change their mentality????
people are much more affected by movies than by books, especially in our country, where sadly, a large population still does not have access to books and education.....what's worse is that learned and educated people also don't actually fucking care and promote this kind of bullshit......
please share your opinion and also reblog.....i wanna hear more about this from different people as well......
Thanks for reaching out i appreciate you taking the time to ask a question, And i am happy that every girl is asking such questions to support each other
So namaste everyone
In my view many directors in India focus on making movies that make a lot of money. These movies often include things like sex, violence, and negative portrayals of women which have been popular for a long time. Unfortunately people have gotten used to these kinds of movies and directors care more about making money than about the impact their movies have on society however not all directors are like this. Some directors want to make movies that show women in a positive way It's important to support these directors and their movies so that we can have more respectful and inclusive films. But people don't give much attention to good movies if we create good marketing of good movies and make their good scenes go viral on the internet maybe it's possible that more people will watch good movies This way directors will also realize that people's preferences are changing
The Impact of Such Movies : Movies that glorify toxic masculinity and perpetuate misogyny can have a detrimental impact on society. They reinforce harmful gender norms, normalize abusive behavior and contribute to the marginalization of women. Additionally they can influence audience perceptions and attitudes shaping societal beliefs and behaviors. It's crucial to critically examine these movies and engage in discussions about their implications while also advocating for more socially responsible and inclusive storytelling in the film industry.
👉🏻 So Let's Jump On Some Questions 👈🏻
Why Male Directors Make Such Kind Of Movies?
Male dominated industry : The Indian film industry is largely controlled by men. This means that the stories being told are often filtered through a male lens and women are frequently portrayed in one dimensional or stereotypical ways.
Audience demand: There's a perception that a large section of the audience prefers these kinds of films. Masala movies with over the top action romance and violence have long been a staple of Bollywood and filmmakers may be reluctant to deviate from this formula for fear of losing box office revenue.
Societal factors: Sexism and misogyny are deeply ingrained in Indian society nd this is reflected in the films that are produced. Films often mirror and reinforce existing social prejudices making it difficult to break the cycle
👉🏻 So, What Can Be Done To Reduce Sexism In Indian Films?👈🏻
Encourage more women in filmmaking: Increasing the number of women in key decision making roles, such as directors, producers, and writers, can help bring about a more balanced perspective in films.
Because guys! if movies are made from a female perspective there will be significant changes seen in the movie industry so encourage your friends and cousins to talk about these things
Make Everyone Aware! Aware! Aware! :
If someone in your house talks about movies like "Animal" and "Kabir Singh" and says it's just a movie sit down and explain to them that what you watch is not normal. Even if you receive negative feedback you know what your job is - make everyone around you aware of this issue. Don't let these movies be normalized which people have modernized.
Take Advantage Of The Internet : Promote Media Literacy educate the public through internet especially young people about media literacy and critical thinking skills teach them to analyze and question the messages portrayed in movies on Instagram, Twitter (X) Reddit , Facebook , Blogs including recognizing and challenging harmful stereotypes and representations
👇🏻👇🏻
Last note : And we should keep hyping movies like women empowerment on the internet. We have the internet in our hands so let's make good use of it. Otherwise what's the point of sitting and thinking about what's happening in society? Don't just think do something even if it's a small step like what I'm doing with my blog. I know that not many girls will reach it but those who do are a big number for me. So, spread women empowerment movies and their scenes everywhere on the internet whether they are old or not just make them viral and spread awareness through social media and blogs
Thanks everyone. Please Reblog this. 🪷🦢🐚

CLOSED STARTER for @zaidshair location: ADARSH' BUNGALOW timestamp: SOMEWHERE IN WEEK 2
Adarsh couldn’t say why, but leaving the door to his bungalow open whenever he was there and not sleeping or showering was so natural he hadn’t even questioned it. He simply let it be as he tried out the stove for a second time within the small space - the idea of making a fire on the beach again and dragging all the ingredients down with him was less enticing this time. He was also worried that if he did that too often, people would think he was doing it on purpose. And there was a small thought - though once again it seemed Bollywood movie scene instead of memory - of homeless people making low-ingredient street food next to actual food vendors.
He gritted his teeth together as he tried to remember the order of the recipe he was attempting to make. He didn’t know the name, but it had started out similar to the masala paste he’d made before. Garlic, union, ginger, a shitton of herbs and spices, and a good three tablespoons of masala garam, and there he was stranded again.
He figured he should then use it to marinate the meat - which he’d raided from the kitchen not even having asked what kind it was. But instead he was staring at the pan, arms crossed, motionless.
He didn’t have enhanced hearing - or any other power - but he did hear footsteps by the door, spinning around with still a contemplative expression. He recognised Zaid, how could he not, second face he’d seen since waking up. There were several possible retorts coming to mind, but instead he said: “Hungry?”

Ba-dastoor – unaltered
بدستور
Kismat ko hai yeh manzoor kya keeje Milte rahe hum badastoor kya keeje ब-दस्तूर بدستور as usual, customarily... Very beautiful word... Used to describe as usual things...
Tumblr media
28th February 2024,
I remember the day very clearly, it was my early morning bus to my hometown... I was getting stressed out because I was running late... Phone was constantly buzzing from the frantic messages of my parivaarwaale...
Thankfully I reached the bus stand on time and got my bus... I sat on my seat and took a deep breath and then texted all my loved ones that im fine and will reach my hometown in a few hours...
Pahadi guy was struggling from past one year... It was the time when he just completed his Intermediate Examination and took drop to prepare for his further studies... In this meantime he cut-off all the connections from his friends and family... And was just a lonely sailor in the vast ocean, searching for something or someone...
I was trying to make sense out of my situation and the people around me... Everything was feeling soo unusual and strange to me lately... Wasn't feeling homesick though wasn't feeling i have a home too...
Tumblr media
My deep meditation was broken by the conductor who was going around the bus asking "Ticket! Ticket? Ticket! Ticket?". I smirked and felt silly about myself and bought a ticket to my hometown...
It was a long bus journey of about 4 hours... And I was feeling very bored... Soo I took out my phone and made a silly and cute commentary on my Tumblr about the struggles of examination and earning money...
Pahadi's simple comment suddenly blew up on the Tumblr... Getting him many upvotes and he was now getting the recognition... Although he had no idea what this recognition will get him but he was on cloud 9 from all the warming messages from his lovely moots...
I didn't knew what was I searching for soo long... But the only thing I knew was what I wanted...
×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
29th March 2024,
I got a message from one of my moot... I didn't knew much about her... But one evening conversation on that fateful day was going to change my life forever...
It was for the first time Pahadi guy and the Delhite girl were speaking to eachother... Both of them thought that would be their last conversation... Unbeknownst to them that the universe had other plans for them...
I didn't knew who she was, what was her name, how she looks, or even where she was from... But by the end of that day one thing was clear to me that... She was the ba-dastoor (unaltered) person I was searching for...
In the world full of my known strangers... She felt like my unknown loved one...
Tumblr media
The way she spoke, the way I felt that day... I can't comprehend those feelings in the words today...
There wasn't any x-factor or bollywood music playing in the background... But the feeling was soo hard... It made me only think about her and her only...
By the end of the night we both realised that it's getting late for bed and decided to sleep... We both never said good bye to eachother... And just said "Milte hai thodi deir mein". We both kinda knew that won't be our last conversation.
The Pahadi guy and the Delhite girl have a lot to unpack before eachother that wasn't possible in a single night or in a single post... Slowly and steadily you'll know about what happened to them and where they are today in the future... Stay tuned...

This is Balwinder [pronouns are 🇮🇳"वह"(Vah) and 🇬🇧 she/they/he], the Indian National Engine. They're based on a Chittaranjan WAP-1, and they're the fastest and most reliable engine on the New Dheli-Mumbai route. On this long journey, they work with 2 1A carriages (Padmini and Rajesh), 3 2A sleeping cars (Nisha, Kiral and Chandra), a pantry car (Madhur), 3 2S sitting cars (Rathi, Kamal and Ditha) and a brake van (Sunil).
Likes: singing Bollywood songs during the journeys, seeing the first rays of sunrise at the end of every journey, the smell of Madhur's freshly brewn masala chai
Dislikes: when the journey gets delayed by anything, children playing on the tracks (they're deathly afraid of running over them by accident), when the rainy season gets out of hand

I will be ur new srk mutual 🫶 which one of his films should I watch first?
such a beautiful ask 🥺
if you're in the mood for a romance movie
1. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge: it's as old as me and still running in a theatre after all these years. it's literally that movie. the biggest reason he's called the king of romance and there wasn't even a kissing scene in this. hasn't aged. beautiful soundtrack. and the infamous mustard field
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. My Name is Khan: 14th feb 2010, 3pm show in a single screen theatre and i had the time of my life watching my first srk movie in "talkies". i was so happy i was gonna cry finally in a theatre and wept i did. he was so fucking good in this kajol's comeback directed by karan johar. lots of tears. and some more. 9/11 background but it's a love story still. he should have won the national award and that jury will end up in hell someday :)
3. Veer-Zaara: romeo and juliet's tragedy is nothing compared to veer-zaara's. the songs the music the acting the actors the director the writer everything was just so good. a lot of people don't know this but eye acting was actually invented by shah rukh khan
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Dil to Pagal Hai: a musical about a musical the soundtrack slayyyyed then it slayyyys now. underrated on current tumblr but i think i am starting to prefer that because DTPH is mine. i never had a crush on shahrukh but if any character of his ever came close it was from this movie. one of his sexiest characters imo. did i mention the songs were way too good.
5. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham: shahrukh really cries like children do. who knew weeping can have range. great songs great cast. kajol in orange. srk in see-through shirts. it's actually a family drama but it's fun also his mother in the movie has a superpower.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Om Shanti Om: no bollywood movie has ever bollywooded the way OSO did. love friendship reincarnation hero heroine villain nepotism revenge action comedy great music (and one more thing but that's a huge spoiler) it really just had everything. one of the finest masala movies ever made. it's tumblr's favourite as it should be. also this movie is how i learnt san francisco rhymes with disco
if you're in the mood for thrillers
7. Baazigar: the directors were having trouble finding the lead actor because nobody wanted to take the risk then srk told the producer that nobody can play this role as good as he can and he became the first actor in the history of filmfare to win the best actor award after playing a negative role. a cult classic.
8. Darr: it's the 90s it's the hero heroine villain era when the audiences think the people who play villains are bad people irl and dislike them. sunny deol an already established "hero" is the hero of the movie and srk is the villain a scary stalker and what happened was that the audiences really loved him instead. (my sister got scared of him enough that she started crying in the theatre and my parents had to leave mid-movie a wuss). something that couldn't have been achieved by just anyone except the future king of bollywood. oh lots of switzerland. also the legendary director of the movie kinda adopted srk and started casting him in every movie of his afterwards.
9. Fan: about an obsessed fan (not me just tbc). underrated af.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
about brothers and mothers
10. Karan-Arjun: family evil rich guy poor villagers a mother's wait reincarnation revenge very 90s. used to watch it every time it was on tv. also it was shot in my state 😎
Tumblr media Tumblr media
11. Main Hoon Na: a cool srk entry. action comedy friendships a whole college adopting a grown up as their big bro beautiful sarees the best dressed character who then got a make-over 🥲 (the only one flaw of the movie) a villain (which was getting rare in the 2000s) the best ending credits ever and whatnot. it was farah khan's directorial debut and she brought fun back to bollywood with her bestie <3
the only coming-of-age movie he did
12. Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa: i was younger than 4 srk wasn't my favourite "hero" yet but his character from this movie was my first blorbo. my murderous rage awakened for him. the first character i ever related to was also from this movie. gangster uncle 🤜🏾🤛🏾 me. srk was so baby (he was like 28) there was also ra ra rasputin in this. srk loves this movie so do i.
