Camilla, who goes by Cashmere at night, is one of meddas favourite singers. (Medda wouldn’t tell you but yes, she has favourites) she’s a 31 year old who started out as a piano player. Camilla is Crystals best friend and doesn’t like children a lot. Although she does have a soft spot for some of the newsies- especially tommy boy and finch because they know russian and she can gossip with them without most people understanding
Medda heard her singing to playing piano in some mall in the bronx and she was like “yo you wanna sign this contract?”

Supermodel MIRANDA KERR
Tumblr media
Miranda May Kerr (born 1983) is an Australian model. She rose to prominence in 2007 as one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels. Kerr was the first Australian Victoria’s Secret model and also represented the Australian department store chain David Jones. She has launched her own brand of organic skincare products, KORA Organics, and has written a self-help book.
Miranda Kerr began modelling in the fashion industry when she was 13, winning the 1997 Dolly magazine model search competition. Since 2008, Kerr has consistently ranked on the Forbes list of highest earning models.
At age 13, Kerr entered and won the 1997 annual Dolly magazine/Impulse model competition. She was flown to Sydney a week before her 14th birthday to shoot for the magazine. Upon Kerr’s win, local media expressed “concerned outrage” at her young age. The controversy raised concerns about the glorification of young girls within the fashion, beauty, and entertainment industries.
Tumblr media
Miranda Kerr signed to Chic Management’s Sydney division. She received considerable commercial exposure after a series of beachwear ads predominantly for Australian surf chain Billabong, in which Kerr modelled surf brands Tigerlily, Roxy, Billabong Girls, and One Teaspoon. Kerr was also the brand ambassador of Australia’s most recognised swimwear brand, Seafolly in 2001. This increased her profile in the Australian and Asian markets, after which Kerr relocated to New York where she became co-owner of the Bowery Ballroom.
In New York, Kerr had a multitude of runway appearances and then signed with NEXT Model Management in early 2004. From there, she was booked for runway and print campaigns for labels, including Alex Perry, Baby Phat, Lisa Ho, Voodoo Dolls, Levi’s, Bettina Liano, Nicola Finetti, L.A.M.B., Heatherette, Betsey Johnson, Trelise Cooper, Jets, John Richmond, Blumarine Swimwear, Neiman Marcus, Seafolly Swimwear, Anna Molinari, Rock and Republic, Roberto Cavalli, and Ober Jeans. Kerr was also booked for print in magazines such as Elle, Australian Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and was featured in Australian television advertisements for clothing and hair-removal products.
In early 2006, Kerr appeared on the TV show Project Runway, modelling clothes for contestant Daniel Vosovic’s final collection. She signed a contract with cosmetics firm Maybelline New York. Along with several other Victoria’s Secret and Next agency models, Kerr was also featured in a music video for the single “Number One” by artists Kanye West and Pharrell.
Tumblr media
Following her success with Maybelline, Kerr became the first Australian model to be offered a contract with Victoria’s Secret in 2007. Upon her acceptance, she became the first ever Australian Victoria’s Secret Angel joining models Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolína Kurková, Adriana Lima, Selita Ebanks, Izabel Goulart, and Heidi Klum. Before becoming an Angel in 2007, Kerr was already picked to become the successor of Alessandra Ambrosio as the face of PINK in 2006. Kerr’s popularity continued to increase as one of the globally recognised Angels when she appeared in the Victoria’s Secret 2006 every year till 2009 televised runway shows, which aired on four continents.
In 2007, Kerr signed on as the face of Californian fashion retailer Arden B. After debuting in their spring and summer ad campaigns, Kerr returned for their fall 2007 campaign, shot by fashion photographer Diego Uchitel. Following her modeling success with Victoria’s Secret, Kerr made a small guest appearance in the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother alongside fellow Angels Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller, Alessandra Ambrosio, Heidi Klum and Selita Ebanks.
In 2008, Kerr became the new face of the fragrance Clinique Happy and signed a six-figure deal to be the new face of Australian department store David Jones, replacing model Megan Gale. She also appeared on the cover of British Harper’s Bazaar. Earning an estimated $3.5 million over the previous 12 months, Forbes placed Kerr at №10 on the list of the world’s top-earning models.
In June 2009, Kerr posed naked, chained to a tree, for an issue of Rolling Stone Australia, to raise awareness for the endangered koalas. In August, Kerr released an inspirational self-esteem, self-help book, Treasure Yourself. Treasure Yourself is aimed at female teenagers. In October, Kerr launched her own brand of organic skincare products, KORA Organics, with George Moss and became the face for the company. She also shot a spring/summer ad campaign for XOXO. Kerr appeared in Forbes 2009 list of the world’s highest-paid models, ranking at №9 with estimated earnings of $3 million. She left NEXT Model Management and signed with IMG Models. She then ended the year walking in the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Kerr appeared in the 2010 Pirelli Calendar, photographed by Terry Richardson in Bahia, Brazil. Previously better known for her Victoria’s Secret status rather than her high fashion work. She appeared on the Forbes 2010 list of the world’s highest-paid models, ranking at №9 where she earned $4 million.
In January 2011, Kerr became the first pregnant model for Vogue when featured in Vogue Australia, being six months pregnant at the time of the shoot. In January 2012, she was named ambassador for Qantas. In March, Kerr walked for Chanel and Miu Miu at Fall/Winter Paris Fashion Week. She was featured on the June cover of Numéro Tokyo, shot by Nino Muñoz. In August, Kerr appeared on the cover of Vogue Turkey and in November, was named the new face of high street brand Mango, replacing Kate Moss for its spring/summer 2013 campaign.[34][35][36] Kerr placed at №7 in Forbes 2012 list of the world’s highest-paid models with earnings of $4 million
Tumblr media
In 2013, Kerr headlined the April issue of Vogue Australia and the July issue of Vogue Korea. She was ranked №2 in Forbes 2013 list of the world’s highest-paid models, with estimated earnings of $7.2 million, which is $3.2 million more and a jump of five places in the list from the previous year. In October, Kerr was named the face of Austrian crystal house Swarovski for their fall 2013 campaign, and that December she starred in social shopping website Shop Style’s first national campaign.
In February 2014, Kerr became the face of Swedish clothing brand H&M. She then featured in high-profile campaigns for Reebok and Wonderbra. In March, Kerr opened and closed for Sonia Rykiel at Fall/Winter Paris Fashion Week Kerr modelled for the covers of the May issue of Vogue Taiwan and the July issue of Vogue Australia. She was among the 50 models on the September cover of Vogue Italia, celebrating the magazine’s 50th anniversary. She was also prominently featured in the November, 15-year anniversary issue of Vogue Japan, shot by Mario Testino. Kerr ranked №3 on the 2014 Forbes list of highest earning models, earning an estimated $7 million.
Kerr was the cover model for the February 2015 issue of American Harper’s Bazaar, shot by Richardson. She also covered the March issue of Australian Harper’s Bazaar, shot by Kai Z Feng. Kerr ranked №6 on the 2015 Forbes list of highest earning models, earning an estimated $6.5 million. She then appeared on the December cover of Vogue Thailand.
Kerr began 2016 fronting Riccardo Tisci’s Spring/Summer campaign for Givenchy, alongside models including Joan Smalls, Natalia Vodianova and fellow Australian, Gemma Ward. Her January/February cover for Australian Harper’s Bazaar sparked controversy, depicting a nude Kerr under the cover line “What Lies Beneath.” The cover was later pulled from the national supermarket chain, Coles. She also featured on international covers of Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Madame Figaro and L’Officiel. Kerr ranked №10 on the 2016 Forbes list of highest paid models, earning an estimated $6 million.
Miranda Kerr has frequently been said to be one of the sexiest women in the world. Models.com ranks her number 4 on the Top 20 sexiest models. She has been ranked in FHM’s ‘100 Sexiest Women’ poll at №56 in 2009, №36 in 2010, №44 in 2011, №51 in 2012, №56 in 2013 and №48 in 2014. Kerr was named one of the “100 Hottest Women of All-Time” by Men’s Health beating the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Sophia Loren.
Kerr’s model trademark is her dimples. Celebrity photographer Russell James stated.

Blonde Otter’s Album is All Killer, No Filler
How a band known for live shows and reunion-like afterparties refocuses on the music
By Fiona Shea
One February evening I found myself in a virtual room with the five members of the New York-based rock band, Blonde Otter. They were all very punctual, waiting for me in a calm silence when I joined. I awkwardly waved at the camera and said “Helloooo” as one does when she joins a virtual room with people who she admires, but doesn’t know very well.
Tumblr media
(From left to right: Stephen Malichek, Matt Falcone, Michael Guariglia, Rob Falcone, Dan Wines)
I know Matt (drums) and Rob Falcone (bass, vocals) from mutual friends and Rival parties at Fordham, which is how we decided that I’d write a little something about their album release. To Michael Guariglia (lead vocals), Stephen Malichek (rhythm guitar), and Dan Wines (lead guitar), I was another Fordham fan, having been in the crowd at dozens of concerts, and maybe bumping shoulders with them at afterparties.
Following my graduation in 2019, I always felt really cool telling my Connecticut friends — who also lived in the city —  that I was going to a concert that weekend. Every time I’d explain that I actually kind of knew some of the band members and could always sing along to the songs they’d cover. All of the Fordham and non-Fordham people I’d describe, it was a really legit scene to them. And to me. It all felt very NYC and very cultured. I felt lucky to have this band in my social sphere.
Tumblr media
Union Pool
One Blonde Otter night that remains crystal clear when I reminisce on my favorite nights out in NYC pre-Covid is a Bowery Ballroom → Beauty Bar → IHOP odyssey. The concert itself was a blast; it was my first time going to Beauty Bar which I thereafter began frequenting; and it was also my first time inside of the city’s only IHOP. This sparked a future routine of stumbling into 24-hour diners in the early mornings for mozzarella sticks and delirious conversations.
A typical Blonde Otter night went like this: Tickets purchased, the group chat going off, the pregame set, the after-party location dropped. If you were in the Blonde Otter realm and you were missing a highly-anticipated concert, it was like, “Where else would you be?” These FOMO-worthy, eventized concerts were no accident. The Blonde Otter guys meticulously crafted their brand of their band with curated, fun-filled nights. They set the vibe of the entire experience  — blending groups of people to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, selecting songs that would get the entire crowd on their feet and in their feels, picking just the right bar for the after-party, and keeping the high energy rolling into the early morning.
The concerts kept getting better and better as time passed, too. “The last 5 shows were the best we’d ever done,” Dan explained. But when Covid came into the picture in March of 2020, Blonde Otter was forced to rebrand and realign their energy.
Mike said that instead of just waiting for it all to be over, the band “kept the momentum going from our shows and put that into creating music. Our music.”
Rob and Michael began writing the album starting in August of 2019, and wrapped up the process almost exactly one year later in August of 2020. Rob, who was calling into our “meeting” from a dimly lit Amtrak train, eloquently spoke about the duo’s songwriting evolution.
“Previously we were writing more casually, about partying and going out with friends. With personal tragedy and then wider tragedies like Covid, there was a natural progression to go deeper. It’s highly personal, detailed, and nuanced. It’s become more relatable.” Michael coined the album as, “a personal take on the universal” exploring themes of “loss, love, identity, and coming-of-age.”
Tumblr media
Rob Falcone on bass guitar.
Matt felt like this time was an opportunity to rebrand. Blonde Otter no longer had to “stick to the costume” of live performing for a moment, and could refocus on the music. The band could be more complex with their vision, and evolve into the rock band they had always wanted to be. For Michael, that’s what “Indie” music is — “transcending and bending Rock genre norms and classifications.” According to Stephen, remote collaboration was one of the reasons why the band was able to successfully experiment with new music. He explained that they had ample time to perfect the album because they were able to listen to what they had recorded for months before actually mixing it.
Tumblr media
Matt Falcone on drums.
I received different versions of the album since we first convened on Zoom back in February. One week it was a texted link, the next it was an email, the following a file share, with some songs in final form and other songs nearly complete. Then one magical morning, I received the private Soundcloud playlist with all eleven songs mixed and mastered. To my non-musically inclined ears, every version had been ready to be released. But for the five Blonde Otter guys, they were examining their work, breaking it apart again, then perfecting it. Michael said, “It’s a tight album, the tracks are pretty brief and not repetitive. We play the hook once twice, then play it again. It’s all killer, no filler.” To this fan’s ears, it is definitely all killer.
At one point in the interview Matt opened up to the group and shared an intimate confession which is that sometimes he feels like he’s “tweeting to a brick wall” from the Blonde Otter account. They (especially Matt) want and need more followers, and the fans want and need more BO content, so it’s a win-win for everyone. Fair warning, all five BO members have access to the social accounts, so sometimes posts will slip through the cracks before all members can vet them.
Tumblr media
Stephen chimed in saying, “Someone will tweet something and I’ll see it and be like, who the fuck posted this.”
Most of the time, though, these guys are putting a lot of time and effort into crafty posts like this one to engage their fans and loosen up the timeline. To stay up-to-date with all things BO, follow the band on Twitter and Instagram.
Just like the reunion-like performances and the all-nighter after-parties we love to fantasize about one day participating in again, this album drop on April 23rd is something you don’t want to miss. More than anything, you don’t want to be that person in the crowd at the first Blonde Otter concert, post-Covid, not knowing the words to their songs. I know I’ll be feeling like a rockstar whenever the time comes when I get to tell my Connecticut friends that I’m going to a Blonde Otter concert. And this time, the band actually knows who I am. It adds a whole nother level of cool.

Small Business Spotlight Series: Best Boutique Wellness Studios in the NY Metro Area
Spring has officially arrived and with the change in weather often comes a newfound surge of energy, and opportunity for renewal. New York is arguably the capital of health start-ups that cater to self-improvement, and mental health is equally as important to physical health. In addition to the ever-growing fitness scene, wellness studios, which focus on mindfulness, meditation and well-being are popping up all over the city. We like to think of them as gyms for the soul.
No one knows this city better than our very own agents, so we asked them to tell us about their favorite wellness studios and spaces in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. While these small businesses offer an array of services, they all provide peaceful and energizing respites from our agents’ busy lives.
WOOM Center The Bowery, NYC
A studio that specializes in multi-sensory meditation, the WOOM Center is particularly popular for its sound vibration therapy. After a relaxing sound bath, you can head to the café for nourishing juices and superfood products.
Recommended by Katie Thurber of our Park Avenue office
Bodhi Holistic Spa Hudson, NY
From yoga and Pilates classes to a spa with massages and other healing therapies, Bodhi in Hudson is an oasis of relaxing and transformational services. In addition, there is also a functional salon as well as a shop where you can pick up bath essentials, body products, and more.
Recommended by Nancy Horowitz-Felcetto of our Hudson Valley office
MNDFL Meditation Greenwich Village & UES, NYC Williamsburg, Brooklyn
“MNDFL is the home of warm, welcoming meditation studios perfect for everyone from curious first-timers to highly experienced meditators,” Mindy Feldman says. She appreciates that you can either sign up for a class or drop in to meditate whenever it fits your schedule. Mindy has been meditating for over 30 years and encourages anyone who has hesitations about starting to get in touch with her. “Or better yet, be my guest for a session at MNDFL!”
Recommended by Mindy Diane Feldman of our East Side office
Prehab UES, NYC
At Prehab, physical therapy and wellness specialists work with individuals who are dealing with an injury or simply want to avoid future injury and pain. Francyne A. de Buck goes here regularly for treatment for back problems, and she recommends physical therapist Alex Gometz. Francyne appreciates his diagnostic ability and focus on whole-body wellness.
Recommended by Francyne A. de Buck of our West Side office
Humming Puppy Chelsea, NYC
You can often find Nikki Greenberg at Humming Puppy, her favorite place in New York. She describes it as a “boutique yoga studio offering mellow, dynamic, and unified vinyasa flow classes in a ridiculously stylish setting.” You can do your practice in a heated room to the sound of a hum, and then enjoy herbal tea, coconut water, and a hot shower afterwards. All equipment is provided free of charge, too. Above everything else, Nikki enjoys learning from “fantastic teachers in a beautiful setting that makes you want to come back every day.”
Recommended by Nikki Greenberg
Maha Rose Greenpoint, Brooklyn
Katie Thurber describes Maha Rose as a “reiki, acupuncture, and wellness mecca in Greenpoint.” The center for healing offers workshops, trainings, and holistic healing sessions that nourish the body and mind. From acupuncture and craniosacral therapy to crystal healing and hypnosis, Maha Rose is a wellness lover’s dream.
Recommended by Katie Thurber of our Park Avenue office
Powerflow Yoga Hoboken & Jersey City, NJ
Maria Oblow recommends wearing moisture-wicking exercise clothes to Powerflow Yoga because the rooms are heated to 95˚ and you’ll definitely sweat. “It’s a sweaty, powerful, and meditative experience that will help you turn down the noise of everyday life,” she says. The classes aren’t easy, but they’re upbeat and “get you out of your head and back into your body.”
Recommended by Maria Oblow of our Hoboken office
Core Pilates Flatiron District, NYC
Core Pilates offers both private and group sessions as well as specialty pre- and postnatal classes and classes for seniors. Richard Grossman, who has been practicing Pilates here for over 12 years, enjoys the studio’s low-key atmosphere, reasonable fees structure, and great instructors.

The Mercedes Club Hell’s Kitchen, NYC
The Mercedes Club has all the conveniences of an indoor fitness club while also offering beautiful outdoor spaces. The fitness oasis boasts a 10,000-square-foot sunlit fitness floor, group exercise studios, sauna and steam rooms, and indoor and outdoor pools. “There’s a clubhouse feel to it,” Deb Miller says. “In addition to working out, you can have a sauna and steam, get a massage, enjoy a smoothie, sunbathe, and take part in movie nights and other social programming.”
Recommended by Deb Miller of our Harlem office
Kaia Yoga Greenwich, Darien, and Westport, CT
Kaia Yoga has four locations in Connecticut, and they offer a range of yoga classes for all levels that include: pre-natal, family, mommy-and-me, and hot yoga. Recommended by Christa FitzPatrick of our Darien office
Keri Gans Nutrition UES, NYC
“She’s an inspiration,” Judy Mendoza says about Keri Gans. Keri is a nutritionist and yoga teacher whose nutrition philosophy forgoes diets and deprivation in favor of balanced eating. She offers personal nutrition counseling as well as private and group yoga instruction.
Recommended by Judy Mendoza of our East Hampton office
INSCAPE Chelsea, NYC
At INSCAPE you can take part in group guided meditation sessions, which are audio-guided rather than led by an instructor. INSCAPE also has a guided meditation app, which allows you to seamlessly transition your practice from the beautiful Chelsea studio to anywhere else.
Recommended by Katie Thurber of our Park Avenue office
Namastuy Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn

Namastuy truly heals the community one chakra and ‘om’ at a time.”
Recommended by Donna Myrie of our Bedford Stuyvesant office

They work with people of all ages, addressing movement, skeletal alignment, meditation, and nutrition. “Lia and Selene are amazing,” Leanne Stella says. “When I started working with them I had chronic, daily knee and heel pain. Within months I was pain-free and on my way to a stronger, healthier body.”

Kinespirit Riverside, NYC
Amelia Gewirtz has tried all the gyms on the Upper West Side, but her favorite is Kinespirit, a Gyrotonic and Pilates studio. Gyrotonic uses weight and pulley-based equipment and draws on the principles of yoga, swimming, and dance. Most of the trainers at Kinespirit are dancers, in fact. “It’s very low-impact,” Amelia says. “If I am consistent, my waistline shrinks and my back feels good.” She has had aches that doctors could not fix, but which the trainers at Kinespirit were able to relieve by recommending the right stretches.
Recommended by Amelia Gewirtz of our West Side office
